Location has gone downhill! I’ve been a member for years! Haven’t been in a bit due to a health issue but went and they removed more than a whole row of cardio equipment, there’s hardly any ellipticals (treadmills are hard on knees) so now you’re definitely stuck right next to someone. Used to have 4 rows of cardio now only 2.5 at most!
The guy at the desk was pretty rude when I couldn’t get on wifi when my black card membership includes it. You used to be able to simply click it in the app. May cancel soon.

This planet fitness location got a complete upgrade. Significantly better use of space along with brand new equipment. I was worried when signs on the door stated there will be new cardio machines added, but they also added more weights and weight machines as well. I also appreciate the diversity in equipment types. It has gotten very busy here and now hopefully I wont have to wait for machines as long anymore. Thank you planet fitness and management for listening to our concerns, some people spend way too long on the same equipment so this may resolve the issue. My only feed back is theres is a few empt spots where more equipment can go. Though they just finished reopening, hopefully the empty space will be filled.

I recently had to switch home gyms due to work, and man do I miss Millsboro.
This gym is large, plenty of machines, and the two rooms are also larger than any other PF I've been to in the state. However there are quite a few things that this location can do to improve.
First,there is NO hot water. I mean none, not warm, not tepid nothing just freezing cold. And before the PF social media people comment to talk to management I already did. I was told they can't do anything about it, that "the entire strip mall has no hot water and it has been like that for months." I'm calling bull on that one. The owner doesn't want to pay for warm water so people take shorter showers. Now for the rest of the gym if that doesn't bother you...
There are few 10 pd medicine balls and all the weighted ones they do have are showing their age. (No grip and dirty )The stability balls all could use some air. The 360 room, because it is so far from the ab room, needs a set of free weights, or the ab room needs medicine balls and stability balls. You have to take them to either room since neither room has both. They are working on the ceiling this week so I will maybe say that is the reason I saw two roaches crawling around while I was working out but who knows. Maybe the owner doesn't pay for an exterminator either. I'm going to venture to the other PF about 5 miles away and pray it's better because this one is just not it.

Enter Robin. While I don’t plan on joining his personal training sessions anytime soon—maybe not ever—watching him work is a kind of inspiration on its own. The man’s got presence. His energy, professionalism, and clear investment in his clients is the kind of quiet motivation that keeps people coming back.

Robin’s the kind of staff member who elevates the whole gym. Friendly at the front desk, focused on the floor, he makes the atmosphere better just by showing up. I came in to fix my core. I left reminded why this location is my go-to. If I could give six stars, I would. Oh and don't let me forget ...Andrew with his diligent custodial work is keeping this establishment spotless

Review of Planet Fitness - ⭐☆☆☆☆

I was extremely disappointed with the shower setup at this Planet Fitness location. The curtains are so small that they don’t fully cover the entrance, leaving anyone using the shower completely exposed. It’s impossible to close them properly, which completely compromises privacy. It feels like a tactic to discourage people from using the showers, which is unacceptable for a gym that claims to offer convenience to its members.

On top of that, the bathrooms rarely have toilet paper, which is incredibly frustrating and unsanitary. Because of these issues, I had to travel to another Planet Fitness location just to take a proper shower. If you value privacy and basic hygiene, I highly recommend avoiding this location. This needs to be fixed urgently!

The option of getting into any of the Planet Fitness around the county without any issues. The cleanliness of them inspite of the attitudes 🙄 of some of the workers. Also, the consistency of each location have the same equipment allowing the same workout no matter where you go. Finally, the monthly rate is good 👍 allowing it to fit within my budget 👏 is the closer for me!

When I first visited this location last year summer 2024, it was clean and well maintained. Now 6 months later it’s a bit on the decline. The ladies bathroom is always messy, There’s 2 clogged sinks and 1 stall out of order and it seems like they’re not taking an initiative to fix it because it’s been that way for weeks now.

I originally signed up at the Riverfront then switched to New Castle Farmers Market Gym. Previously I traveled across the US and used other PF gyms and never had any issues. Since I switched to the Farmers Market Gym my payment has been compromised twice. Someone was adding fees to my account. Even though the manager refunded almost all of the money (still owes me $11) he then said they usually don't do debit cards they require a direct account number. When I called my bank to refute the last two charges the IT person said absolutely not. I don't know if it's because I've hit senior status or what however pay attention to the monthly payments. I'm done having to replace my card. I signed up with the YMCA and discovered it's so much better!

Equipment is often unavailable and you have to wait a while for the smiths machine. People often use the benches for things other than the intended purpose at smiths machines, meaning others can't bench press, squat, or do any of the other various exercises that the machine is meant for. Otherwise staff is nice when you first enter, but they dont really leave the front desk. Bathrooms are clean but a urinal has been out of order for weeks, maybe months. Overall a decent place to work out, but if you want to bench press you have to have perfect timing

I switched my home gym from Middletown to New Castle for convenience for going after work on my way home. My first impression was good plus I read some reviews that were also good but I’m beginning to think first impressions and reviews aren’t always accurate. I used the locker room to change and used the restroom which were both filthy. It took me a few stalls to find a clean one and even that one wasn’t that clean. The sanitary napkin bins were full and smelled horrible. I was told today the locker room was closed since it was being clean because someone brought it the front desks attention. Sounds like to me they never check it or have a routine for cleaning like the Middletown gym ( which is spotless) If it weren’t for convenience of new castle I’d go back to Middletown.

Cold showers for the third time! This is pathetic for a health gym. If this isn't fixed I will cancel my membership. Zero Stars 🌟 Today 2/17 once again cold showers 🚿 this is the 6th time.
