As a Nomad, I’ve used many Planet Fitness gyms including in my hometown of Pa. I must say this gym by Giant in Concord De is by far, based on my experience today 11/28/2025, the cleanest and had the most friendliest & helpful staff. Not the fake friendly, but just down to earth genuine friendly & helpful. Even the locker room & showers were clean. What? Yep! They were clean yaw! I arrived around 5:30pm & left at almost 7pm. Justin & Emily were working the desk. 👍🏽❤️

Not a lifters gym. I didnt see free weights or heavier weights. The largest kettle bell I could find was 30lbs. Staff was nice and welcoming, the members not so much...but its a gym. Myriad of equipment so you can find what you need to get your workout in. Bathrooms were clean and someone was always around with a vacuum or broom so the place was clean, it didn't smell. It was pretty busy for a Friday afternoon. (I was off work and decided to workout with my bro). I am going to revisit the one on the riverfront and see if it's changed. Would I recommend? yes for general fitness goals, for heavier lifters not so much...would I go again? absolutely.

Clean facilities with spacious machines and weight areas. The place seldom feels full. I've never wanted for a treadmill. The staff is always courteous and helpful paper towel machines all work are rarely out. Basically, it is a well thought out space that is well maintained by the staff and a great place to go be your best self with no judgment! Everybody there is very kind.

Updating my review. While I still don't like that it's not 24 hours 7 days a week I will say the new staff has been amazing and the place is kept clean at all times. I see all staff doing all jobs no matter what, no one above or below the other. The owner or manager is always out cleaning and stocking drinks as well. Everyone is friendly and knows you by name for the most part. It can get crowded and there are times where there are just too many teens standing or sitting on equipment messing around or texting but over all it's great. I wish that some of the guests would stop using the shower stalls and changing rooms as garbage cans. There's always shirt packages, bandaids, hair from shaving and other misc stuff which is gross.

I was already on the fence about this location because of the wait time for broken machines, but tonight I was working out and I’m on the treadmill with BOTH my headphones in and a bigger backed light skin chick, who didn’t look very happy might i add, came from out the black door by the entrance/desk and slammed the door so hard it made me jump. If I didn’t see it happen I would’ve thought it was a thunder storm again outside. Idk what’s going on but I come to the gym to unwind and work on my mental health, employees shouldn’t be in here slamming doors that’s unprofessional as hell

This location is big! And it doesn’t smell weird. And the water doesn’t taste weird. I like the 30 minute section, but you can’t see the light from all of the machines. Also there are always people hogging machines in this section. I have not been able to complete a work out as designed… between the broken machine and people hogging the machines for the duration of my 30 minutes. There’s a sign that says staff monitors it, but that’s not true. One member asked Victor for help with this. And he said he couldn’t do anything. I’ve switched to different home gym, which Victor was able to help with! But I’ll still have to come here when this location is convenient and I’ll still appreciate its size and a friendly staff member named Emily.

So I needed to cancel my membership and without authorization they billed me for another year. So I went in and spoke to the Regional Manager (Brian) as soon as I saw the withdraw- he said nothing he can do and to call my bank! Nothing like making a customer happy! Why should I call the bank when they already removed 49.00? Not great service for someone who might have come back at a later day- oh well!- thanks Planet Fitness! I’ll make sure to let my friends know!!!

This gym keeps getting worse. I am at a point where I only come here because the price is convenient for two friends that I work out with. However I am a black card member and I feel like I can do better elsewhere. The machines are constantly broke. Lift machines don’t count accurately. If machine isn’t broken, it is rusty with a lot of noise. When I come at 5 am the desk reps aren’t pleasant or helpful. There is no longer enough hand sanitizers on the floor, not at the desk or tables where you enter. When I asked the desk rep he looked in his immediate vicinity, shook his head no and then shrugged. I am, truly, over Planet Fitness Concord.

I joined the Planet Fitness on Concord Pike in Wilmington primarily because I like the efficiency of the 30-minute workout. Unfortunately, there are often people sitting on the machines for 5-10 minutes, doing multiple sets or looking at their phones. This, despite the stated policy on their website "Planet Fitness does not set time limits on any piece of cardio, functional, or strength training equipment, with the exception of equipment located in the 30-Minute Express Circuit." I am disappointed that the site management does not feel that they have a responsibility to manage this area effectively.

Plenty of parking, very large gym with hydro beds in separate rooms for the win. I think they had a hairdryer also which is always a bonus. Didn't see any broken signs in the equipment. I went mid afternoon and it was busy . The sign ups for the black card area is on a computer so if it's your home gym you can schedule yourself, it doesn't work if you're visiting.

They aren’t allowing me to use the massage chair, the staff said that’s we close by 10pm so don’t use it. I’m like I’m paying for it and why I can’t use it. Though if I use the massage chair which is 10mins they still have 6 minutes left. But said I can’t use the massage chair today. This is crazy then why should I need to pay $25.99 per month. Just not to use the spa after 9:40? Already having a worst day on nov 23,2024 Saturday he made it even worse!!!!

The gym is always clean and the staff friendly and helpful. My only issue is location. Having to drive through an army of lights to make it down the senseless stroad that is Concord Pike is stressful every damn time, so by the time I get to the gym I am never in the peaceful headspace I would like to be in. I hope the location will eventually change to somewhere less constricted by terrible urban planning and the checked out morons who are distracted from their phones by driving.

This is a larger size Planet Fitness 25k+ sq ft and wasn't crowded when I was there. It was clean and the equipment was in working order. I like that there are some Hammer Strength back and chest machines; I wish all Planet Fitness gyms started using more Hammer Strength machines.

Many times either there are no towels...OR the holders do not work right...papertowels don't come out without ripping. I love this gym it's the only one around me open the entire weekend and when I went on Friday I discovered that the hours are changing for over the weekend starting June 1st. All the planet fitness's around me close early in the weekend and I work until 11 pm the entire weekend. Where am I supposed to go now? I also hate going to the gym during the day because there are so many people using all machines. I'm just upset by this change and find it pointless to keep a membership

This is a decent location. It's pretty new and most of the equipment is in good working order. The gym does get fairly crowded diluting the day but not all of the time. Staff is reasonably friendly. The restrooms are pretty clean for the most part. I prefer some of the other PF locations where the lights are kind of low and the music is louder but this gym works for sure.

I've been coming here for a while now and the main reason I chose Planet Fitness was because they were open 24 hours a day and I could come late night when there weren't a ton of people there. They are now changing their hours and upping the price on top of it.. I'm not so concerned about the price but the hours really mess people up. I may have to cancel my membership and just work out at home from now on.

Ps The Aston location did the same thing and I personally know people that canceled their memberships because of it. not only does it limit people but if you're a bigger person you you might feel awkward in a gym full of people

I came into the gym to cancel my granddaughter's membership and was assured that I would not be charged for the next month. Much to my chagrin, I was charged even though the paperwork states differently. The assistant manager did not know how to print out an accurate receipt for the transaction. I am worried that I will continue to be charge as the paperwork indicates. I am a retired senior citizen and feel as though I have been totally disregarded.

Idk why gyms have fans going full blast or feeling like it when you go to the gym to sweat not to be cold and have to wear 50 layers of clothes to break a sweat.
