Gorgeous and serene studio despite across the street from a fire house. I attend the 6a classes with Chris and cannot love them more. Chris is a wonderful teacher - their calm voice guides you through series that changes subtly week to week, offering options along the way (easier and more challenging). Totally recommend as the perfect start to a day.

Isabelle’s yoga class is truly exceptional! Her ability to demonstrate the differences between various vinyasa movements is impressive, making it easy to follow and understand the flow of each sequence. What really sets her apart is her special attention to breathing—she seamlessly integrates breathwork into every movement, enhancing both stretching and mindfulness. Her clear guidance and calming presence create a perfect balance of challenge and serenity.

Adding to the experience is the great atmosphere at District Flow Yoga in Eastern Market. The studio’s warm and welcoming vibe makes it the perfect place to practice, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi. Highly recommend!

I miss dance
I miss moving and hearing my body
I knew I needed something and although I wanted something intense like “kickboxing” to let out some stress. Coming to district flow yoga studio may have been Everything my body needed.

This cute intimate space was peace full, the aroma, lighting, decor just set the mood. I’ll be looking to the membership. I think this is a great way to end the year and start on a good foot by tending to my body in just a great space.

Thank you for class. It was truly needed🫶🏾

Joined 6 months ago and have been so grateful for this inclusive, welcoming studio. Great options of classes, teachers, and times. I have especially loved classes with Hannah, but you really can't go wrong. The space is bright and clean, too. So happy to find a neighborhood studio in SE DC!

District Flow is an incredible neighborhood yoga studio. It is a very intimate space that allows for smaller class sizes that really lets you get to know the teachers. Lindsay, Ivet, Carly, Simone, and Chris S. are amazing teachers.

I have been a member of District Flow Yoga for a little over six months, and I love each class I have attended. It is an excellent community of people who love and know what they do. There are assorted classes, so you have many options, and instructors follow different styles of Yoga, such as traditional and Western. I like this variety in this local studio!

Incredibly convenient at metro, great space, diverse instructors and classes. As a yoga teacher, it’s nice to relax and take classes as a student and I’ve been extremely happy with all of the classes here. You’ll find something for everyone and the monthly rates are a terrific deal!

This is a wonderful studio - I'd definitely recommend. I had to cancel my membership because the class times don't align well with my schedule, but their cancelation policy is incredibly accommodating - something I have not experienced with other memberships in the area. I'll likely buy a set of classes and attend as I am able :) thanks, District Flow for being such a nice addition to the neighborhood!!

I go to this studio sometimes because it's very close to where I live and the classes are cheap, but it's really not great. When I go to any fitness class, I'm looking for guidance and inspiration from a very fit, high-energy teacher who is in the trenches with me. Unfortunately, the opposite is the norm here. More often than not, the teachers (who generally, I'm sorry to say, don't appear fit) don't participate in the classes at all and just give oral instructions while chilling/hanging out. It's ok for cheap, convenient classes, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're seeking inspiration or motivation from a yoga teacher/class.

I have been practicing yoga for 15 years and have seen many studios and teachers across the country. District Flow is a wonderful local studio with a supportive and welcoming atmosphere. The teachers are friendly and knowledgeable and they have a great mix of classes and styles. I strongly recommend Carly’s yin classes which are exceptional. You’re in great hands with this studio, even if it’s your very first class. Kudos to my friends at District Flow, keep up the great work!

I’ve been attending this studio for a few months and I must say it is one of the best I’ve been to. I personally attend the early morning times, usually with Ora, Ally, and Carley as a guide.

Mondays and Wednesdays (yoga sculpt and core-focused, respectively) are usually more upbeat and generally have music with lyrics. But Tuesday and Friday (slow-flow and yin/yang, respectively) usually do not have music with lyrics.

There are so many classes available and you do not need an account to see their schedule. This transparency really helps if you are considering this studio and not sure if you’d like to join.

Their unlimited monthly is a very reasonable price- especially if you are able to go 2-4 times per week. I would recommend scheduling through their website- pretty easy to navigate. However, maybe it is a cell phone browser thing, but it takes a bit of time to sign up for several at the same time. Otherwise, I believe they allow drop ins, too! Their cancellation policies are reasonable in case something happens.

The studio itself is very calming- low lights, green plants, big windows, and mostly light blue paint (to include the ceilings). There are mirrors in the front, but a few spots where you can set up if you don’t want to be in front of a mirror. There is a bathroom and water fountain available (I think they have cups if you’d like to have water next to you). Also they have weights, mats, blankets, and blocks. They offer wipes to keep everything clean, including your own mat. Wood floors are cleaned regularly and are beautiful.

The classes I’ve attended are a mix of regulars and travelers. So, it’s great to see some familiar faces and some new ones.

The ladies I mentioned above are really great guides. Ora is always fun on Monday mornings (I need to go back soon!) when she helps you start your week off in a good mood. Ally and Carley are the guides for the slower flows I go to- each have a great way of reminding us to do what is best and their voice is simply a guide. They generally offer several options if your body isn’t interested in doing certain positions. Class sizes in the mornings are generally 2-6, once or so there have been a few more due to holidays or what not. Decent size for all levels of yoga knowledge.

Very welcoming studio. All poses are for beginners, and are thoroughly explained. If I’m in a class and one of the guides knows the levels of all people in the class, they take it a step further to challenge us. Or generally offer challenges if it makes sense. No crazy poses though that would make a beginner feel unwelcome. (Unless they just take it easy in the am classes because our brains need to wake up!) There’s usually a meditation part to the session as well- either at the beginning, end, or both.

They also offer outdoor sessions and external guides for special events. I’ve never been to either but I hope once my weekend opens up I will join for an outdoor session, at least!

Also, right next to a Starbucks that has a super friendly and awesome staff. And right next to the Metro (Eastern Market) and a Trader Joe’s. Right down the street from a lot of cute shops and restaurants- something for any time of day!

Well done, District Flow Yoga! I look forward to continuing with you for the few years I’ll be in the area!

Amazing yoga with wonderful teachers who genuinely care! The studio is located in the beautiful Eastern Market neighborhood and they also have outdoor classes on the Wharf and Eastern Market Metro Park in the warmer months. The hot classes are wonderful to get deep into your practice. I also highly recommend the Yin Yang classes which get some heat going in your body in combination with deep Yin stretches. The teachers are the best in the area and the management is friendly and responsive. Definitely ask about the membership deals they have currently! I only wish I could give more than Five Stars.

I was planning on doing yoga on the wharf in DC, but they emailed me saying it was cancelled due to the hot weather. I am from out of state, so I emailed them to see if I could get a refund. I have not heard back and there is no number to call. It has been several days. I would not recommend due to bad customer service specifically regarding things out of my control.

Absolutely love the new energy at this studio. The lobby is inviting and peaceful and the studio is clean. They offer a wide variety of class types between the two yoga rooms ranging from meditation to Hot 26+2, allowing something for every type of yogi. Perfect location to practice before a night out or a weekend at the Wharf.
