Beware, they make it impossible to cancel ("concierge" chatbot on the App says there are 3 ways; managers say there's only one). Process is so convoluted it runs afoul of FTC junk law rules for annual membership cancellations.

Brand new facility is nice and all, but I have never once seen a staff member clean the equipment or weight floor. Nothing outside of mopping the floor and the locker rooms. Whether I come in the morning before work, during the day, or late in the evening, nothing.
To make matters even worse, they took all the wipe stands off the weight floors and put them in the studios, so even the members canβt clean the machine after their sets.

I cannot recommend this Equinox location because of the City Ridge complex that it is located in is not safe from crime. I had my ebike, which was locked to the bike rack directly in front of the Equinox stolen in broad daylight on a Saturday afternoon. Roadside LLC, which owns and maintains CityRidge, has been uncooperative and claims no responsibility even though they do not have signs saying that they are not responsible if your bike is stolen. The security personnel who are in go-carts give a sham illusion of safety and security. There was a murder and shooting in the same complex a few months ago as well.
For a luxury, high end gym such as Equinox, I donβt feel that City Ridge, which cannot control crime such that you canβt even lock a bike in front of the Equinox without having to worry that it will get stolen, is an appropriate mixed-use retail/residential space.
The Equinox space itself is nice, although the facility is on the smaller side. The steam room is nice, and the yoga studio is pleasant as well. I will be looking to downgrade my Equinox membership so I donβt have this location as part of my access.

I am finishing my year of membership in this place so I have to say that the place is new, very clean and is usually not crowded, it is good for exercising, the hours of this gym are super bad, from Monday to Thursday they close at 10 pm, Friday until 9 pm and Saturday and Sunday 7 pm in this place they lost two belongings that I never found, the first was a white stanley thermos that I never appreciated and recently my airpods max headphones, which I was asking for several days and their answer was that the manager of the place was the only one who had access to the lost items box that had to arrive at a specific time, which I arrived at, they only made me sign a paper with the information, so apparently it is not a very safe place, I would not recommend it for these reasons

I stopped by to get some information to sign up with husband but there was no information brochure so we asked to have a tour to confirm our subscription but the lady at the front desk said that it was not possible.

Not everything that glitters is gold! I had spoken to Victoria about becoming a member a few weeks ago. She took my contact information, still haven't heard back for a tour - even after multiple follow-ups and apologizing several times.
You can take the staff out of Planet Fitness, but you can't take the Planet Fitness out of the staff!

They absolutely oversold memberships to this place. I've barely been using my membership after several visits where it was too crowded to do anything other than sit on a cardio machine. We need more weight lifting space and fewer unused treadmills. They are 'too busy' to schedule new members for solo pilates classes even though they promise a complementary session. If you cannot keep up with demand in a gym marketed as a luxury experience, something is being mismanaged.
But yes, as others have noted, it looks and smells great.

Words cannot explain how much I am going to miss this gym (I am relocating). My experience here was absolutely fantastic. The cleaning staff are amazing and they do a great job keeping the locker rooms and upstairs areas clean. Alex Enos, the general manager, is professional and quick to respond/address/resolve any member-related concerns. The staff at the front desk are always friendly and willing to help. My experience at this location was phenomenal. Wisconsin Ave also gets brownie points for the 2 hour free validated parking!!! All other DMV locations fail members on this end.

I canβt say enough about this gym. Everything is top notch. The best classes ever. The place looks and smells amazing. The best gym I have ever been. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Actually I already referred 2 people!!!! It is worth every penny.

From a weight training perspective, I can only give this gym 3 stars simply because of the variety and availability of equipment that you get for the price. The weight training area is a pretty inefficient use of space for a city gym. There are only 2 squat racks and 2 weight benches for flat bench press, and typically only one of each kind of plate loaded/selectorized machine. So, if you go at a busy time, you will probably have to wait for something during your workout. I have been a member of LA Fitness, WSC, YMCA, Gold's Gym, and VIDA in the DC area. Of those options, Equinox has been my most expensive membership and unfortunately I have not found that the experience is worth the price so far. If you want to join a "nicer" gym in the area for weightlifting, I would recommend VIDA over Equinox for now.
