I love the workouts here - they are efficient, effective, and varied (don’t get bored with the same thing!). More importantly, I keep coming back because of the passionate instructors and the friendly community vibe. It’s welcoming to all levels and not intimidating! The instructors are great at ensuring good form while pushing me to be stronger!

Pros- Relatively difficult class, nice people, and instructor.
Cons- no locker room/showers. Though the instructor was super nice they aren’t doing much in terms of ensuring people are using correct form, etc. As a first timer there was no way I was doing each move correctly. The class could basically be led by the videos on the wall (which is maybe what you get with a corporate studio).

There’s a reason this location has 5⭐️’s! I came to F45 Columbia Heights as someone who dreaded working out, and yet this studio very quickly became one of my favorite parts of living in DC.
The coaching team here is knowledgeable, inviting, encouraging, and goes above and beyond to care for and provide their members a positive experience. (Frankly I think Marc/Lily and team here are world class.) This attitude also trickles down to members who are always eager to say “hi” and introduce themselves. The community makes it so fun and easy to show up each day. It’s crazy how much my health and body have changed along the way.

I've been coming to F45 for a bit over a year. I was pretty skeptical about it, but this gym has seriously exceeded my expectations. The coaches have been great about helping me progress and adjusting exercises for my long-standing shoulder injury. I've really appreciated the flexibility when it comes to things like pausing a membership for travel or illness, and the extra workouts and events the team offer.
If you're not familiar with F45, some days have cardio classes, some have weights/resistance, and some are hybrid. The classes are 45 minutes long, which I appreciate because I can take a class on my lunch break.
If you told me two years ago that I'd hang out with people I met at the gym, I'd tell you something about you being bad at predictions, but shockingly I've also made friends at this gym, even though this wasn't remotely my intention. Who knew! Anyway, if you're on the fence, I recommend you check it out, there's always a good intro offer.

I went to f45 in Columbia Heights for about a 1.5. After moving to Northern Virginia I cannot even commit to a gym over here because none of the coaches have as much passion and care as the ones I met in Columbia Heights. Marc and Lily are the greatest and the moment you become a new member as well as each and every day you attend class they greet you with a smile and make you feel welcomed.

This studio does not offer a welcoming, inclusive, or positive training atmosphere. If you have a pre-existing injury of any kind do not expect to be able to modify exercises to prevent re-injury. Very disappointing when classes are almost $30 each.

I just recently started at F45 Columbia Heights, and it’s a HUGE step up from my at home workouts. In just a couple of weeks, I’m feeling noticeably stronger, and all of the coaches are very supportive, always teaching, and excellent at following up. I highly recommend F45 at Columbia Heights!

This F45 is awesome! The vibe and workout are great. Lots of energy in the room, and a very nice facility. Fun tidbit, It used to be a bank and the old tellers were kept intact, now being used as cubbies. Definitely recommend this spot! You won't get a better 45 minute workout anywhere else.

Did the 1 week trial (great deal!) and then signed up for full membership. Smaller classes with a great mix of workouts, and the Columbia Heights coaches are motivational and help you push to improve. Fast paced music helps 45 minutes fly by, and you end up working out harder than at a home or apartment gym. The early AM & late PM classes are helpful to fit into work schedule, and the studio has a convenient location. Highly recommend!

F45 is exactly what I was looking for in terms of strength training (haven't done any of the cardio classes). So much so, that I asked about membership options after one class and signed up after my second one. Initially, I was afraid F45 was going to be like crossfit, which I have never done because well, crossfit. I should also mention that I rarely do group classes. But this is different. The exercises are varied but ones you likely know if you do weight training (RDLs, bicep curls, lunges, squats, etc.). But the best part is you have access to coaches that not only encourage you throughout class but also correct your form. To me, that was super important. In general, it's a very supportive environment and the classes go by really quickly. I would highly recommend it!!!

This is the best gym in town! The trainers are so supportive and fun and the workouts are challenging with great variety each week - a mix of cardio and strength. Awesome upbeat music to pump you up through the workout, lots of social events to build community and the gym is super convenient - near the metro and bus lines and bike shares!

Try the resistance, cardio, and hybrid classes with different instructors during the one-week trial.
I had the pleasure of taking classes with Marc, Lily, and Zhen—each had their own style, but all were great about moving around the room and checking on what each person needs in terms of more instruction and/or cheering.
The rhythm and organization of all the classes is as described on the website—see New to F45. I will just add that the small classes (10-12 person) felt more personalized vs. the large classes (20 person) felt more energetic and had multiple coaches moving around the room.
As a plus, great music—and, at times, dancing too!

This is a great gym that purposely keeps the classes small which ensures all members receive personalized attention, help fixing any issues with form to avoid injury and the motivation to keep pushing yourself to successfully complete each exercise. The staff is incredibly friendly and supportive and it's great not to have to set up or clean up the weights/stations. It feels very COVID-19 safe with everyone wearing masks and instructors helping to enforce it. Really happy with the gym and excited to experience all the classes it has to offer!

Absolutely loved training here! I only had the pleasure of working out here for a few weeks, but it took just a couple of classes for the trainers to recognize me and make me feel like I had been part of their community for ages. Apart from a friendly atmosphere, the workouts are killer (love F45!!) and the trainers here do SUCH A GREAT JOB of checking your form. That is what really set them apart for me. They spend the classes walking around and totally engaged, and ensure corrections are made when needed. They also do a great job of pushing you. The personal attention they give is what really impressed me, and if I hadn’t moved 100% I would be a permanent member of this awesome gym community.

I joined F45 CoHi last summer and I am now a loyal member. The coaches are kind and knowledgeable -- they work to remember each person's name, interests, and fitness goals. I could not speak more highly of this community (and their playlists!). I came to this studio last winter as a completely new member who knew no one but coach Marc enthusiastically welcomed me into this F45 family with such open arms. F45 is challenging but so worth it, I've seen huge improvements in my cardiovascular fitness and strength. The coaches at CoHI make each class so fun and energetic, they are encouraging when you when you need that extra push and want to you be your best fit self! Love F45 CoHi! I have taken classes with Marc, Seva, and Megan all three were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and pushed me when I needed to be pushed (which is often). The programming includes a lot of functional/mobility movements that I would never incorporate on my own. I've never sustained an injury with them and my mobility, aerobic capacity, and positional strength all progressed. Most importantly, they are great folks and I always smile a little wider after hitting up F45 Columbia Heights.

All of them are available throughout the workout to make sure that you're doing each exercise correctly, or provide alternative exercises to either make the move more challenging or less challenging to make sure you get a great workout in based on your fitness level. Recently moved to the area and started attending F45. After about a month, I am addicted. I love the change in programming to keep my muscles sore (the good, growing sore), the friendly community, and the coaches. I haven’t been to the gym or touched weights in over a year due to the pandemic, and this is a much needed addition to my weekly routine. I’m seeing dramatic changes already!
Oh, and I messed up on the app and paid for a weekly membership twice. Marc was so helpful and immediately remedied my issue by refunding me and cancelling the duplicative purchase. Not sure what some of the other bad reviews were talking about, but they’re so off based!!

I have the F45 CoHi coaching crew to thank for my sanity (and fitness) over the past year of Covid. They’ve created such a welcoming and energetic community.
All of the coaches are awesome, but I’m most familiar with Marc - I’ve worked with him for almost 3 years as I followed him up to Columbia Heights from another F45 location. Marc has a knack for knowing just how much to push you, add resistance, and add weights without going overboard, and is also honest about when you need to back off and focus on form. Truly one of the best and most knowledgeable trainers I’ve worked with. I highly highly recommend checking out F45 CoHi!

I've been going to F45 for almost 6 months now and it is one of the only workouts I've done where I've seen the positive effects it has done to my body. There are two reasons why I love going:
1. The workouts are always different so it never gets boring.
2. (the most important) the instructors/trainers are the BEST. They make it feel like a personal training session and make sure you are doing the workouts out properly. If the workout is too difficult or you have an injury, they always find an alternative workout for you.
As well, they follow all protocols for covid safety.
I highly recommend trying out if you are looking for an amazing workout.
