I was a person determined to improve my health and my looks. I was welcomed and encouraged to come in and get an evaluation. Matt was there to meet me, and explain the program. Since that day in beginning of June each personal trainer and employee has encouraged me through personal workouts and discussion of how I feel my body is reacting to the workouts. I go to the Georgetown facility, and everyone there is just incredible to work with (special shout out to my two trainers - Trevor and Hillary) They are all incredibly knowledgeable about just about all facets of training, and while the training sessions are tough, they are also really fun - so much so, that I find myself eagerly awaiting my next session. All my clothes fit better, I am eating and sleeping better than ever, and best of all, my blood pressure is finally at an acceptable level after years of struggle with that. I have been training with Hillary at Fitness Together in Georgetown for four months. She is engaging, extremely knowledgeable, disciplined, thorough, focused, confident and motivating. I can't think of a better combination of qualities in a trainer. Based not only on how I feel, but also on empirical evidence, I am in much better shape now than I was when I started at Fitness Together. She works you hard, but there's a payoff. I am greatly in her debt.
I am now a year into working with Hillary as my trainer at Fitness Together. I can only emphatically second my assessment of her made at four months above. Her dedication to the profession is so obvious, she is a stickler for form and posture, listens to feedback from me and adjusts accordingly. In addition to the. qualities I outlined in my first post, she has a charm that really connects with her clients, reading mood and affect very well. Even though she works me hard, I hate to say it, but I look forward to our training sessions.

I lost 12 pounds in 10
months and added muscle mass! My endurance has increased. The trainers each vary your return on a weekly basis for 6 weeks, Then one gets an entirely new program. Weights and reps go up sometimes in one session. The staff are outstanding and offer helpful suggestions for off days. Compared with a big-box gym, one is doing exercises correctly and progressively, which translates to more effectively.

Fitness Together is a gem. I was skeptical about working out with personal trainers at first but it turned out to be a game-changer.
The staff are knowledgeable and tailor workouts to your specific goals, making you feel a sense of accountability and ownership of your progress. I have been working with the team at FT Georgetown for two years and feel stronger every day. However, I didnβt see much progress on my weight loss goal until I started working with Kristina on a Lifestyle program customized for my needs several months ago. The benefits have been much more awareness of my nutrition needs, consuming effective levels of protein, and setting long-term and simple weekly goals. Iβm now about 20lbs lighter with more lean muscle mass.

Overall a superb personal training gym. So many things to love about FT! I like the privacy of working in a smaller gym and having had an option for virtual home workouts during the pandemic. The customized nature of the fitness program tailored to my level of fitness and goals is also a BIG plus. Perhaps the most important thing about FT is the warm, very professional and always encouraging staff. Finally, as FT is an 8 minute walk from my house, I like the early morning incentive to boost my metabolism.

Hillary worked with me to make sure the transition was seamless and I wouldnβt lose any of my momentum. Additionally, Iβve been working with Kristina for nutrition, and her approach, accountability, and support has been incredible and exactly what i needed to approach nutrition in a way that works for me. I so deeply appreciate every at Fitness Together, they have been so flexible as my life has changed in the past couple of years to support my journey.
I've worked virtually with both Enrico and Hillary for the past 10 months (switching from Enrico to Hillary due to schedule changes, they're both awesome trainers!). Hands down the best and most effective personal training I have ever experienced. I have worked out with several other personal trainers at gyms and privately in the past, and they don't begin to compare to Fitness Together's programming. Metrics and measured progress are built into the program so that your workouts and programming can be fine tuned to help you achieve your specific goals. Nutrition coaching is part of your benefits as a member and focuses on achievable, sustainable changes that will allow you to reach your goals. Stacy, the owner, is a huge part of the quality of their services and she has a high bar for the trainers and staff that work with her.
All of the staff I have worked with have been great but I want to call out Hillary in particular. She is personable, professional, and so good at training. She knows just how to help me achieve the correct form (even remotely), knows when to push me and knows when to help me dial it back so I don't overdo it. She has helped me take my high level goals and turn them into actionable steps I can achieve program over program. I have never been stronger physically and I have never felt so confident about my ability to push through when it feels hard as I have since I've been working out with Hillary. I would recommend FT Central Georgetown to anyone--it has changed my life.

Hello everyone
i am James Howe, an orthopedic surgeon, I lived in DC for 4.5 years and worked with Kristina 2 to 3 times a week. For the last 4 years I have traveled 125,000 miles per year so my exercise was difficult. Due to the virus I have been isolated in Vermont since March. I have re-found Kristina via ZOOM. It is great we work out 3 times a week. Now let me comment on Kristina, she actually embodies the philosophy of the fitness together. Kristina is actually different from the many personal trainers I have worked with, she is actually a COACH, someone who really cares about me and that Ido well --- of course sometime that means she is quite persistent, obviously that is what I need. I am 73 and I would suggest that the best place to spend money is on yourself. As the book " younger Next year" would suggest --- exercise is the best way to communicate with your DNA, so in my opinion exercise is one the most important activities we should be involved with --- I lam very lucky to have found the person that I can work with and would suggest everyone should be so lucky.

Fitness Together provides health and personal training services using a holistic approach which includes comprehensive guidance on nutrition. The results are measured using an InBody machine that quantifies body composition such as lean body mass, body fat mass and so forth. I searched around DC for personal trainer and most places were large gyms asking for thousands of dollars to meet regularly. Fitness Together was able to create an in person training plan that fit my budget while providing home workouts that I could do based on my equipment available. Their facility consists of multiple workout bays (not one large gym) perfect for COVID social distancing and one on one work with your trainer. Additionally, they helped build a nutrition plan - not a diet - based on my workout goals and the types of food I enjoy eating. I cannot recommend them enough!

I enjoy the personalized, boutique experience of Fitness Together. The facility is small so there are fewer people using the training booths at a time - a lot of sessions are virtual. The equipment is sanitized after each use and temperature checks and masks are mandatory to limit spread of the pandemic. I highly recommend the customized training sessions with Steven Dieltz. He is knowledgeable, encouraging and progresses the program as my strength and endurance improve.

I joined FT a few weeks ago and have benefited greatly. After suffering from pain and limited mobility, I saw results in a few sessions. I mostly work with Jeff and Enrico; both have been great trainers who keep you motivated. They care about your health and well-being, unlike my experience at bigger gyms. I really liked the fact that there is a lot of focus on individual situations and highly personalized training. The nutrition guidance from Kristina is also useful. After having a hip replacement last year I felt it was taking me too long to get back to my old self so I decided to meet with Stacy Adams at Fitness Together and see if her program met my needs. I joined FT after 6 years absent of any workout (2 pregnancies, little kids, busy work and travel, etc). Since the start of the pandemic, I've been training with Kristina from home, who also provides nutrition advice along the way. It has been an amazing experience. Ah I love this place! I've been scheduling regular sessions for about a couple months now and it's going great so far. The team is both very professional and friendly so it's a very positive environment to be in! Moreover the trainers are quite flexible with re-scheduling which is great for a college student whose schedule varies each week. They're also great in terms of physical improvements and motivation. You can tell that they genuinely care for each customer & do their best to motivate and support them. For my birthday, they gave me lovely signed card with all of them wishing me great year, which I thought was the sweetest thing ever! Also, I love the fact that this place is founded by a woman and employs women trainers. I had injured my knee and decided to get a professional trainer to get back into my workouts; the investment has been the best Iβve made. The 6-week programs are customized to your needs; the team is friendly and are all aware of your program. The investment I've made in my health by working with the pros at FItness Together is the best decision I've made in years. For the past 2+ years, I've worked with their personal trainers once or twice a week -- and this is after years and years of coming up with every conceivable excuse not to exercise. The FT team are highly trained and are great motivators, and I'm definitely stronger, which I really didn't think was possible after age 60. They change the program regularly so as to keep things interesting. They push me to the max and not beyond.
And now, they have added yoga! In just four one-on-one sessions, my balance and flexibility has improved. I see the difference not only in yoga practice, but in my other workouts as well. Great instructor!

One month ago, I joined Fitness Together in Georgetown. I had been familiar with the brand and had heard good things, but had never visited the gym. I immediately felt welcome as part of a community, and Stacy and her team took time to get to know me and understand my goals. I have been a member of many gyms throughout my life, but I have never been a member of one that focuses on personalized training and nutrition.
The team first spends an hour with you to understand your history and your fitness objectives. They then schedule an assessment where they measure flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, strength, even posture, in an effort to develop this personalized program. While not mandatory, I have also done a genetic test where they use swabs of saliva to understand how your body responds to strength training versus cardio, caffeine, carbohydrates, fats, sleep, and even the sun. These results are in turn built into a personalized program.
I focus on strength training during my sessions, but the team has designed a running cardio program for me to apply on my non-gym days.

I am not an excersizer. It's not in my DNA. Weirdly, FT might actually be changing that. The studio is intimate. Each session is 45 minutes with you and a trainer. On your first day you meet with Stacy, the owner who spends time getting to know you and introduces you to the program and the possibilities. The program is tailored to you and I have kinda really gotten into it. There is definitely accountability but it's one that develops it in you. It's a great workout and I see all types walk through. Hard core gym people to people who are looking for a boost. More than anything, I like having someone monitor what I'm doing, how I'm doing it and pushing me to go beyond what I think is possible. I'm so glad to be a part of a community that understands who I am, where I'm coming from, holds me accountable and pushes me to a limit I don't think I can meet but they do. But, they have helped me drop > 30 lbs and get strong again without any re-injury in record time. As someone with lots of old injuries, as well as the accompanying excuses, they hold me accountable.
They humored me with obligatory congratulations, but also laughed as hard as I did after I finally stepped into a store to try on some jeans, and realized that I'd gone from too-snug 38-inch pants to a comfortable 34-inch pair of those "thin" jeans.

If you've been frustrated with your lack of progress on the exercise/weight loss front, you owe it to yourself to try this place. The team is great, and I can't stress enough how helpful it is to have them design personal plans, and then stick with you through 100% of the workout to make sure you're doing things right. In the time that I've been going there, I've lost 15 pounds -- and that's with *adding* muscle (so the fat loss has been even higher). Plus, I had issues with balance that the team has really helped with, using customized exercises and one-on-one attention to detail that you really can't get from a typical gym.

My current trainer is Kelly! She is absolutely the best! She has gotten to know me a little, knows what motivates me to exercise and knows what does not. I have had osteoporosis for a number of years and taken every medicine available for it without any increase in bone density. About 3 years ago I began working out at FT lifting weights and performing other exercises. To my amazement I learned a few days ago that all my T scores have improved and the increase in my spine was noted as "significant". Thanks to Kristina! It definitely goes beyond just personal training and looks at a holistic way to meet your goals. My challenge before was consistent motivation, but the FT family keeps me motivated to keep coming in 3 times a week and are as invested in meeting my goals as I am. I really appreciate the personal attentiveness - they always accomodate my busy schedule where I travel a lot. Workouts are designed specially for me and change every 6 weeks which allows me to never get bored. We have an assessment every 6 weeks so I can see the progress I am making and reset goals for the next round. I really appreciate everything that the FT family has done for me - thank you!!! I can not say enough positive things about the team at FT in Georgetown. As a Chiropractor I had my patients referred to them over the years with great results. Every single trainer there is extremely versed in their profession. So about two years ago I decided to sign up here myself and it has been amazing. One of the best decisions I have made. They adjust and alter their client's workouts depending on any how your body is feeling that day. Which I have noticed myself when my own back has been sore, they would change up my the workout routine to aid and loosen up the tight areas. I highly recommend them! Private suites, good selection of exercise machines, positive, friendly community. I went once on MD's recommendations and have been there for three years. Love being fit. This is the best Gym for any DC resident. Private workout spaces with personalized training plans in a convenient location and trainers that meet the flexibility of any work schedule. I had been paying monthly fees for my gym, plus fees for a trainer that had difficulty accommodating my calendar needs. Now at Fitness Together I no longer pay club dues and only pay training fees. I train in privacy in separate training rooms and any and all of Stacy's training team can train me around my schedule and all follow the same plan for consistency. Started with Fitness Together in January. Stacy and her staff run a very friendly, professional organization. I have trained with Kristina, exclusively, for nearly the entire time I have been going there. She is very talented and knowledgable. Kristina does a wonderful job setting programs that fit my particular needs. She is serious about her craft. She keeps me motivated and is always making sure that I am comfortable with every exercise. You can tell that she has received a thorough fitness based education and has developed the skills required for applying her knowledge into every session.
Some may think the cost to be be high. In my experience, you get what you pay for. I am extremely satisfied with the results that have been obtained. I would say that with Kristina's guidance Fitness Together has exceeded my expectations.

I've been training with Olu for 6 months - - give or take. Without doubt, he's the best trainer I've had. He pushes me to train as hard as I possibly can but, at the same time, is very sensitive as to where the appropriate limits should be. He's very knowledgeable and flexible and I've found working with him to be very enjoyable. Also, he listens well to the goals I wish to achieve through my training and tries hard to come up with a training regimen that meets my needs.
