Training with Hector has been a renewing experience for me. He curates my workout plans around my goals and interests, while sprinkling in routines that challenge me to push past my own preconceived limits.

His passion shows in the way he trains; his style of teaching is patient and relaxed, yet encouraging and motivating, a combo that has made the journey for me both fun and effective. The way he shows up feels authentic and it’s clear that helping me reach my goals really matters to him.

I’ve gained a new sense of confidence in my strength, not only physically but mentally as well. After all, exercise is just as much a mental journey as it is a physical one! 💪🧠

Where do I even start?! I first connected with Hector in mid-2022 through a training app, meeting and training with him virtually. At the time, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had never worked with a personal trainer before, let alone online. Before that, I had only done group sessions at different studios with several trainers and instructors. I always assumed personal trainers were only available in person and came with a huge price tag, so it felt out of reach. But I quickly learned that wasn’t the case at all. I was incredibly fortunate to be paired with Hector.

At first, I thought I might prefer a female trainer, assuming she would better understand my body, goals, and comfort level (lol!) which was naive of me. But after just a few sessions, it became clear that Hector’s knowledge, encouragement, and tailored approach were exactly what I needed, and more than I ever expected. During our sessions, he helped me improve my form, identify my strengths and weaknesses, and pushed me to challenge myself—especially to go heavier when I doubted I could. And every time, I could!!! I told him what my goals were and he told me exactly what I needed to do. It wasn’t enough to just work out, but I also had to be more mindful of my protein intake (which needed to increase… by a lot!). I learned the importance of and difference between dynamic and static stretching from Hector. There’s a lot of information online, which can get overwhelming, but Hector helped simplify it and answered almost every question or concern I had--whether it was about my training or nutrition.

I loved how he did weekly check-ins to make sure I was feeling alright, staying motivated, and had the right adjustments to my workout plan for the week. I never felt like “just another customer” to him—he treated me like a valued client and genuinely cared about my progress. I did not once feel like just numbers on a roster, which I find extremely common in many businesses these days. Hector worked all hours and days of the week, and his dedication showed in everything he did.

When Hector transitioned to a new training app, I didn’t hesitate to move with him, and I continued training with him consistently for the last 3 years until June of this year. I’m currently taking a short break, but I fully plan to start back with him once I am ready because the progress, accountability, and motivation he provides are truly unmatched. Working with him has completely shifted how I view fitness and food, and what I believe I’m capable of. I've never been stronger!

TLDR; Hector is hands down the best trainer I’ve ever had! He brings the perfect mix of expertise, personalized coaching, and sincere support that makes all the difference. His expert guidance and personalized support have made me feel stronger, more confident, and healthier than I ever thought possible. If you want a trainer who truly cares and helps you crush your goals, 10/10 highly recommend working with Hector

P.S. I met Hector in person, at his studio, for the first time last week while I was in DC, and honestly, he’s just as down-to-earth and real as he was online - no surprises there!!!

Excellent experience. I've been working out with Hector for a few months now. He's a real pro, who tailors the workouts to the specific needs and style of the client. He challenges you to do your best, but always knows how to help you pace yourself and avoid injuries. Workouts are hard but fun and safe. He's also a great guy to spend an hour with. I had heard about Hector's Fitness Advantage through friends. I reached out to Hector to help me regain some strength and agility, and to just get me back into a routine of working out that I had gotten away from during the "Covid Years." I am so grateful that I did, and I have been very pleased with the program that he has set up for me. It's a nice mix of cardio, weights, and stretching exercises. Best of all, I can do them from home and when I find the time - a flexible work out schedule that I really need with my busy life. He checks in with me frequently and keeps me accountable, which I need. He is quick to suggest alternative exercises when I run into issues with joints/mobility, and he cheers me on when I meet my goals (and encourages me when I don't!). I would highly recommend Hector as a personal fitness trainer!

I have been working with Hector for a little over 3 months in a remote training capacity. He prescribes workouts each week based on my goals and checks in from time to time during the week to encourage me. It is working great for me because the last thing i need is another inflexible appointment on my schedule; i need flexibility and fewer reasons to skip workouts! We booked our twelve year old son in a nine week, 2x per week winter training series with Hector's Fitness Advantage. Three of his friends joined him, and Hector was outstanding. He catered the training sessions to the groups collective interest (baseball) and had them working hard in a positive competitive atmosphere. The series started with a skills test, meticulously recorded, and individual updates were provided weekly. Hector was able to get the most out of these boys, motivating them to push each other through a carefully thought out regimen. The results and the experience were amazing.

Hector has been training me virtually. He is a wonderful trainer and coach. When I first began working with him I expressed my concerns about my lack of physical activity and my desire to start working out. Hector designed a program for my specific needs.
