I LOOOVE my home OTF. Itβs the best. And I think this one might be just as good. Front desk staff Kenny friendly and helpful, head coach Antonique is awesome, the other instructors have been terrific. And a special shout out to Antonique who was really gracious and helpful accommodating my disability. Looking forward to more visits to this branch!

I appreciate that the workout can be done by people at all levels. After a knee injury a few years ago and some other physical issues, I want to get a good workout AND not hurt myself! So I am grateful for Orangetheory giving me the option to power walk instead of run, do low impact floor exercises instead of jump, and still burn tons of calories! Plus I like that the coaches are friendly, not aggressive, and motivate students through positive encouragement instead of yelling.

I joined this OTF about 6 months ago and have loved it! The staff is incredibly friendly and the coaches are awesome. Itβs always a tough workout, but the coaches are so motivating & I feel stronger after coming here. OTF in DC is pricey in general, but itβs honestly worth it!!!

We are used to OTF being a welcoming environment, with lots of positivity at our home studio. When we visited Capitol Hill, Laura at the front desk was very rude and had a lot of negative energy. From the start to the end of class, she was mean and snappy with us. Other than that, the rest of the staff was awesome and provided a great workout! Get rid of Laura

We have been shopping for a "fitness home" in the Capital Hill area, and cannot recommended Orangetheory Fitness enough. The staff are welcoming, and the facility clean and safe. It is kind of an unusual workout flow; however, staff clearly explained it to us before the class began and provided numerous updates throughout the session. I cannot recommend it enough!

Loving OTF on the Hill! The facility is always clean, staff is always friendly, and even though the classes fill quickly, there is always a chance to move up off the wait list into the desired early morning classes. This was a very fun addition to my normal gym routine!

I've been a member for 5 or 6 weeks and have had a very positive experience. I have had 4-5 instructors, and I liked them all. I hate (and appreciate) the floor workouts, but that's just because they are especially difficult for me and my weak upper body and core. I like the use of the rower, and they've got the treadmills.
The classes fly by, and the energy and knowledge of the instructors is excellent. The heart rate monitors and the goal of getting into the orange zone to increase calorie burning 36 hours after the workout is super motivating.

I need to work out differently now that Iβm a mom of two and Orange Theory allows me to pack a lot into an hour during times that work well for me. The workouts take intense effort and cut them into bite size pieces that feel/are totally doable. You donβt even realize how hard youβre working until itβs done. The coaches, staff, music and equipment are all approachable and frankly encouraging. You donβt dread going - you canβt wait to get as many done in a week as you can because you know the more you go the better the results!

One of the most spacious Orangetheoryβs Iβve seen, even more impressive because of its great location. This gym also provides complimentary towel service, which is not to be taken for granted. This spot just opened a few months ago, so everything is brand new and clean. It has two showers and two separate bathrooms. Workouts change up every day and plenty of adjustments to vary difficulty levels. My biggest gripe is that the music selection can be meh and at times excessively loud.

I'm a middle-aged busy professional who makes excuses for not working out ("I'm too busy"...it is not a good excuse!). From the moment I began my Orangetheory journey, I felt welcome, enthusiastic and motivated to show up to class. I have graduated from a power walker to a jogger. I like the fact that I have to sign up for class in advance...it is a psychological contract which challenges me to follow through with a commitment to do something good for myself. No more excuses to delay bettering my health. As Nike says, JUST DO IT!

OTF is great because it allows for a great variety of workouts, and the format is different everyday which makes is hard to plateau. This particular location is clean, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the coaches are AMAZING. OTF is the best workout anywhere, and this studio is superb!

If you like highly effective, fast-paced workouts, Orange Theory is your gym. It's one of the fastest growing gym franchises in the world based on the theory that you should hit a certain level in a workout so you continue to burn calories for hours after the workout. To that affect, when you sign up, you can rent or buy a monitor that tracks your heart beat and splat points (the time you spend in the high intensity zones). It helps you know when to take it easier or push harder in a workout (they say 12-25 splat points is ideal in a one hour workout).
Their classes are one hour long and they have a endurance day, strength day, and power day and a day that combines all three. The trainer walks you through the workout, but you'l likely spend your time rotating between the treadmill, rower, and floor in a few minute increments. At the end, you can stay a few minutes longer to stretch. It's a GREAT workout!
My only complaint about Orange Theory is that it's expensive (probably the most expensive gyms in DC including compared to Crossfit). Other than that, it's a GREAT workout!

I joined OrangeTheory for the location and keep coming back because of the staff and trainers who are awesome -- so professional and kind. I'm over 55 so thought I may not be able to keep up with everyone else but the workouts are all different and you can make them as hard as you want, moving at the pace that works for you. Mike and Tariq are my favorite instructors. They're always upbeat, play great music, are encouraging, and have an eye for good form.

Tara and Joshua are the best! Tara is the studio manager and she does everything in her power to make sure your needs are met and you are taken care of. I had a pretty hectic schedule my first month, which didn't allow me to get into the studio, and she helped me with my account and made sure everything worked out. Joshua is a coach at OT Capitol Hill and he is my favorite. He is extremely encouraging and never makes you feel bad about where you are on the fitness spectrum. He pushes you to improve, but not in a cocky, meathead type of way, if you know what I mean. He teaches early morning classes and Friday afternoons. I just wish I was more of a morning person so that I could take more of his classes.
