I am deeply disappointed to learn that this gym location is closing. It has been the only fitness center within walking distance from my home, and part of what made it special was its amazing team of coaches. It’s truly disheartening to know that many of them — including one of my favorites — are being laid off.
I don’t know the reasons behind the decision to close this branch, but it’s hard to understand how such a large enterprise couldn’t find a way to retain its well-prepared, enthusiastic staff. These are passionate professionals who now have to search for new opportunities in D.C.’s already challenging job market.
I am just one voice echoing how many other members are feeling. This closure is a real loss for our community. I’m not even sure if I’ll continue my membership, as the other locations are significantly inconvenient and lack proper parking access.

I go to the Georgetown and 14th St location often. I am also a fitness instructor, so my standards are high, and I can say these guys really crush it. Both locations are amazing. Every instructor I’ve had has been fantastic. My favorite is Brandon. He just has such a fun style and really pushes you to be better while keeping it fun and inspiring. Also great coaches I’ve taken are Chase, David, Stephanie, KD, and Brooklyn. If you want a place to work out where the vibe is just right, the workouts are well written, and the coaches are top tier, either of these locations fit the bill.
PS- shout out to Rachel who works reception at 14th st. She’s awesome too! Sooooo helpful!

I’ve only been once to this location but it immediately became my favorite. Obviously it’s located in one of the coolest parts of DC, but the studio itself was awesome. Nothing fancy just an environment for you to come in, do your best, and walk out better than when you arrived. Julia, our coach for the session was phenomenal. Hands down the best OTF Coach I’ve had in 8 years as a member. Highly recommend booking one of her classes. Very engaging, positive and will push you!

Absolutely fantastic class! I’ve tried many fitness classes over the years, but this one truly stands out. The instructor “Brandon” is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and incredibly motivating, making everyone feel welcome regardless of fitness level. The session was thoughtfully structured, blending cardio, strength, and flexibility exercises for a full-body workout. The atmosphere is energetic and supportive, and I truly left feeling stronger, happier, and more confident. I definitely will be returning.

I absolutely love this Orangetheory location! I’ve been coming for about 4 months now, mostly attending the 9:15 and 12:00 pm classes with Maggie, who is the best! She’s incredibly attentive and takes the time to listen to your goals and help you achieve them. I’ve taken classes with almost all the coaches here, and they’re all so supportive, willing to answer questions, and encourage you. This gym has been a game-changer for me—it's a fantastic option for anyone who struggles with motivation to work out. The environment is welcoming, and I always leave feeling accomplished!

Can't say enough good things about OTF Georgetown. The coaches are supportive at any level—I joined after surgery and physical therapy. I walked on the treadmill, started with the smallest weights, and got help adapting challenging core moves. Six months later, I'm jogging, lifting much more, and watching every measure of my fitness increase. The workouts race by, which is saying something when it's 6 a.m.! Thanks, Brandon, Jess & Laura!

I just finished my last class at Orange Theory georgetown - not by choice, I love the place - but solely because my insurance plan no longer covers this type of gym. I highly recommend it - their coaching and attention to detail is awesome. Lucky you if you get one of Brandon’s classes ‼️😁 his personality is so fun and I loved his playlists. It made the workout fly by. I’ll miss Orange Theory but if you need fitness goals this is the place 👍🏻

I love OTF Georgetown!! Alyssia and Zakia are so friendly and nice at the front desk. The coaches are so welcoming, friendly and nice. Anyone at any age or fitness level is welcome. You work out at your own pace with coaches who direct and encourage you throughout the workout. The OTF Georgetown coaches go above and beyond in terms of encouraging you and entertaining you during the workout. Coach Jaye and Coach Brandon tell funny stories during your workouts, Coach Jaye encourages you to lift heavy, Coach Brandon pushes you “to do hard things” on the treadmill, Coach Laura showed up to one class decked out in her Taylor Swift concert outfit, Coach Maggie ran next to me on the tread mill to encourage me to keep going during the dri-tri, and Coach Maddie and Coach Jess are so friendly and have encouraged me when working out in the same class as me. Variety is key, and you'll get it at this studio! I'm a big fan of the Strength 50 classes. Though running isn't my thing, the class formats always keep it interesting, and the time goes by quickly. The coaches are all great and very welcoming - shoutout to Maddie for always pushing me to lift big! Also, they have an Inbody scan machine which is a really nice perk to help track your progress if that's something you're into. My only feedback is I would love to see an extra lower body strength class on the schedule!

A big fan of OTF Georgetown! I joined about a year ago after a long hiatus from working out and I am so glad I did. The whole team is so welcoming and encouraging no matter what level you are starting at. Over the last year I have gotten stronger and feel so much more energized and it is all due to OTF. The workouts are fun and challenging. Coach Brandon and Jess are both so motivating and fun and they have great playlists! Coach Laura is always giving great personalized advice on the floor which I appreciate! The Georgetown Orange Theory fell in my estimation when the company fired most of the employees (actually at all of Empire's OT gyms). Up until a few weeks ago, it was exciting and inspiring to be greeted by our local team, something OT regularly called the "OT family." And my friends and I have been members since this location opened--so 4 years. What used to rally us into our personal bests (through lots of fun challenges), now feels mechanical and corporate. Bring back our community and the energy.

I recently started exercising again after a long break, and I have to say, I absolutely love Orangetheory at 1815 Wisconsin Ave! It's been such a great experience for me, especially since I'm looking to strengthen my body after a back issue in 2021.
One of the things I love the most about Orangetheory is that I don't have to think. The instructors and staff take care of everything and make sure I have an amazing workout every time.
My first class was with Bekah, and let me tell you, I loved every minute of it! Bekah is not only a fantastic instructor, but she's also super responsive with emails. It's great to have someone who's so attentive to their students' needs.
And can we talk about Brandon's voice? It's seriously the best! Not only does he have an amazing voice, but he's also incredibly consistent and helpful. He makes every class enjoyable and pushes me to reach my goals.
Jess is like a muscle guru! She's so knowledgeable and observant. Whenever I have a question or need help with a specific exercise, she's always there to guide me. I've learned so much from her.
Now let's talk about Jaye's classes. They are an absolute blast! Jaye knows how to make every workout fun and exciting. I always leave his classes feeling energized and motivated.
And I can't forget about the outstanding front desk staff. They are friendly, professional, and always on top of everything. They make the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, Orangetheory at 1815 Wisconsin Ave is the place to be! The instructors, the staff, the atmosphere - everything is top-notch. If you're looking for a fun and effective workout, this is the place to go. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Gyms are intimidating, and working out in a group setting is actually terrifying to me. But one month into joining Orange Theory Georgetown and the results are absolutely stunning. As someone who is NOT athletically inclined I was quite self conscious about joining, but immediately I felt welcome. My instructors(Jaye, Brandon, and Meg) are so accommodating and encouraging. The best part is you get to set your own parameters for you! This allows me to scale up more and down as I feel for every workout. I’m so happy that I joined orange theory and I can’t wait to continue my journey here!

Love the workouts - in 60 minutes I get a full 30 minute cardio, my heart gets going, just where I need it. I love the variety of the exercise, the core and strength training. After almost a year, I still go 4 times or more per week and am not bored - the mix of exercises and training sessions between endurance, strengths, agility keeps it fresh.

I’ve done the try-to-motivate-yourself gym membership (many times) and the small group personal trainer, not to mention several long hiatuses from any regular exercise. Coming off one of the latter, I was encouraged to try OT but was skeptical (i.e., lazy). Eventually went and haven’t looked back as I approach my 100th class in Georgetown. Coaches are fantastic, staff are great, class schedule has plenty of options and consistently a great workout.

Orange Theory Georgetown is wonderful.
The workouts have a lot of variety and can be done by people of all ages and ability. I’m often the oldest person in the class but I am able to do everything at my pace. It has also had a huge impact. I’ve been doing it for a few months and really notice the difference.
The coaches are great. They are cheerful and encouraging (hard to be at 6:15am) but also give advice and correction when needed. They are great at what they do and are skilled and considerate.
I have not been to other OTFs in the area so can’t compare but I can recommend this one 100%.

I starting working out at Orange Theory in Glover Park a little over a year ago. The coaches are exceptional and have always motivated me to try my best to achieve my goals whether it was to get in better shape or just to utilize the hour to unwind and turn my brain off from a busy day. The Orange Theorists you workout with are also very friendly, and the coaches do a good job at encouraging everyone to break out of their comfort zones to get to know each other by planning happy hours. I could rave about the OT workouts themselves and why they are amazing for people of every fitness level, ability, or interest in sweating publicly with others(which I used to hate)..instead I'll rave about the staff at OT Georgetown.
I have gone to OT's across the country and this is by far the best one. All of the coaches are amazing! They motivate you during the workouts, give helpful & knowledgeable tips, and get you to your goals! Furthermore they explain everything (order of the moves, form, what's next etc) so you're never lost. You'd be surprised how many coaches in other places don't do this. These coaches make me feel like I'm getting the most out of my workout and for an injury prone person, I really appreciate being taught proper form/given advice on when I need to push myself or hold back. Not only are the coaches the best, but the support staff is too. They know you by name when you walk in the door and are always super helpful with any question or concern you might have:)
If you're an anxious wallflower, like me, when it comes to gyms/workouts this is your sign to give OT Georgetown a try.

DO NOT GO to Orange Theory - got charged because I asked to cancel 1h in advance (you have to do it 8h in advance)! Membership cancellation is a nightmare. No flexibility at all on anything and they just say you signed the papers it's "company policy". Read that paperwork carefully! Worst membership experience.

Short Version: I love the Orange Theory Georgetown Studio and would recommend it to anyone.
Long Version:
What I love most about Orange Theory Georgetown Studio is: the variety and the instructors. The workout variety enables different parts of the body to be focused, which results in muscles to breakdown and rebuild. If looking to lose weight, gain muscle, improve physical health, or look for a stress reliever, this is the place and workout. On any given workout, a variety combination of strength training, circuit, HIT, and cardio are applied. This workout is accommodating to people of different ages and physical built, from beginners to athletic experts. Never the same class day the next day or the day after that.
What I like about this workout is that it is accommodating for almost everyone. In the Georgetown Studio, I have seen individuals with severe stress with osteoporosis walk away with the stress gone and in less pain. I have seen workaholic folks had the stress removed of a 12-hr work day after a Orange Theory Georgetown studio class. I have seen individuals go from a beer gut to a six-pack over time with commitment and effort attending Orange Theory. I have also seen pregnant women attend the class and have higher endurance level than men in their 20s and 30s. This studio knows how to work with pregnant women attending their classes, which is a HUGE PLUS. I have also seen the instructors work with senior citizens incorporate regular exercise into their routine and see them come back as regulars, which is an amazing source of inspiration.
There is not enough positive feedback to accurately portray the feedback of the instructors. To say the instructors are knowledgeable is an understatement. The instructors (Flora, Tana, Jessica, Gabi) are the perfect combination of advocating both positive reinforcement and friendly encouragement. What makes Orange Theory Georgetown Studi among the rest of the other studios in the area are the INSTRUCTORS. Can't find a higher better caliber of professionalism, friendliness, and helpfulness than the instructors at Orange Theory in Georgetown. The staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating which demonstrates a high level of customer service. The staff never cease to amaze me.

I’ve been a member of OTF for four years and have been to studios in a few cities. Visiting DC for two weeks, I came to this studio about 10 times. It’s the biggest and more comfortable one I’ve been to, and the coaching here is just superior. Every coach gave all the information needed to understand each goal, describing the floor exercises with specificity, then watching everyone carefully. I got great tips about my rowing form, and excellent modification ideas that honored my limitations. The staff is friendly, the members are welcoming. I was homesick, and coming to OTF in the mornings made me feel like I was back home, only a bit better. Wow.

I love Orangetheory Georgetown! I have been to many different OT locations around the country and none of them compare to the quality of Georgetown’s studio. The facilities are very clean which helps me feel comfortable with my workout space. The coaches and staff are all encouraging and have helped me make progress towards my fitness goals. They treat the members like part of the community! I always recommend all my friends try out OTF Georgetown!

As someone dedicated to health (but a bit lazy), I've been a member of just about every national workout chain. Nothing comes close to providing the holistic approach to staying fit, as OT. The coaches keep us on track (always fun and encouraging); moving between different stations (run/walk; rowing; and weights) makes the hour go fast; and the high-intensity low-impact coverage targets weight and muscle mass. It's a hardworking ONE hour shift that flies by. And I don't have more than an hour to workout in any given day. Finally, the results have been impressive. And frankly, it's addictive.

Normally, I absolutely despise working out, there is nothing that makes me less excited. However, I absolutely love Orangetheory! At my home spot, the Georgetown location, I have never felt more welcome, more motivated and inspired to become the best version of myself. I have never been so dedicated to my overall health. Coaches Flora, Tana, and Jade are absolutely amazing, and I enjoy coming to each and every class. The team aspect and camaraderie with the people that I work out with is an atmosphere that can’t be duplicated anywhere else. Joining Orangetheory Georgetown is one of the best decisions I have made this year!

Great, fun workout + supportive community helping you along the way. I really like the fact that you’ll see all ages, all genders and all levels of fitness (including lots of people who are just starting out or dealing with injuries/limitations as I am, etc). The coaches are there to root you on and help you along your journey. It’s been a great way for me to improve myself in a way that I wouldn’t on my own. Grateful they’re part of the neighborhood.

Please do not go to this Orange Theory - I was charged for not cancelling 8 hours ahead on a snow day. Georgetown University closed its campus, yet Orange Theory was unwilling to be flexible due to "company policy". I asked for the name of the manager and studio owner (Ashley Prewitt) and was told that they are not allowed to share employees last names. Today, I talked to Madison and was disappointed.
