Be careful with this place. Do not waste your money. I swear I heard RAT NOISES in their studio walls... I thought I was imagining it but it's now the fourth time. I talked to one of the managers about it and he was EXTREMELY rude. I don't remember his full name but I believe it was "Michael". Anyway. Don't go here to do yoga. Btw, I'm posting this anonymously because he was a pretty scary man...

Working with Lorraine Hinds at Pea Street Yoga since March 2025 has been a profound experience. She carries the spirit of yoga with such integrity and warmth that every session becomes more than a class. It becomes a space of healing, learning, and genuine transformation.
One of the most remarkable things about Lorraine is how accessible she makes every practice. Her classes welcome first time practitioners while still deeply engaging highly experienced students. She teaches in a way that opens the door for everyone. She is on the mat with you, practicing as she teaches. You can look at her, follow her movements, and feel supported by the clarity of her presence. She names each asana, explains the posture, and calls your attention to alignment and adjustments with precision and care. The fact that she practices while guiding the class creates a shared energy, a sense of doing the work together, and it makes the practice feel both grounded and inspiring.
Lorraine meets you exactly where you are. She listens, notices, and guides with incredible sensitivity. She supports your growth in a way that makes you feel understood, encouraged, and truly empowered.
What has impressed me most is how she connects the physical practice with emotional and spiritual awareness. My relationship with my body has deepened. My sense of self has become steadier and more compassionate. It is beautiful to witness her joy when she sees progress. Her enthusiasm becomes part of your motivation. Her care becomes part of your strength.
With Lorraine, yoga is never just stretching. It is a journey of presence, embodiment, and trust. It is learning to inhabit yourself more fully. It is discovering what your body can say when it feels safe and supported. Lorraine is an exceptional teacher, a gifted guide, and one of the most grounding presences I have ever met. Anyone who has the chance to practice with her is fortunate. She is simply the best.

I love this place and Ebony is the best yoga instructor I have ever had!!! She subbed for core focused vinyasa when I went and honestly I really wish she regularly taught that class because it was without a doubt the best yoga class I have ever taken.

I love this studio, all of the instructors are excellent and they have so many different types of classes. I tried primal dance flow on a whim and loved it, it was the perfect shake off the scaries Sunday vibe!

My wife and I took a Sunday morning guided reiki and soundbowl meditation class with Peyton and it was absolutely amazing! The entire class was uplifting and relaxing and Peyton did a beautiful job of walking us through the entire practice with music and instruments and positive affirmations. I am grateful to have found this lovely little studio and I will 100% be back! Thank you, Peyton!

Such an incredible new yoga studio and community here at Pea Street Yoga in Dupont! Everyone from the owners (Leah and Michael) to the teachers to the mascot dog Lentil is just such a gem of a soul. I’m very excited to be at the grassroots of what I know this studio will grow into quickly!
This place has everything:

Completely new to yoga and curious to discover yoga for yourself through an approachable and accesible introduction, check out Tara’s Monday evenings and Thursday lunch hour with Lorraine. 😊 On Mondays, we also invite you to stay for a delicious Restorative practice right after the Basics class. 😍

If you’re looking for a powerful Kundalini class, Friday and Sunday mornings with Ganesha are your jam! ❤️‍🔥

Wanting to get a Power Flow into your morning or lunch hour, come join me on Tuesdays and I’d be honored to have you. 🙏🏼😊

Vinyasa and a Sound Bath with (or without) Reiki are there for you with Peyton on Sundays!

We also have Pilates, Yogalates, Heated Vinyasa Level 2, Ashtanga, Rocket, Slow Flow, Slow Power Vinyasa and Restorative Yin to offer you a plethora of wonderful ways to come move, breathe, rest and be in community. ✨🥰✨

We care deeply about offering accessible practices and making everyone feel welcome and wanted. Come join us for a class!

Right now, we have $12 drop-in classes and for only $29, you’ll get 2 full weeks of UNLIMITED classes, which is such a cool way to try out as much as you like. Every teacher has something special to offer. ☺️

Our doors and hearts are open to you!

Pea Street is located right above DC Vegan, and it is such a gem of a studio. Had the gift of attending their first ever class and it was so transformative. I felt challenged to do more with my body while still honoring my capabilities. After the session I headed down to eat yummy, clean food at DC Vegan and it was the perfect way to start my Saturday. I am sending the owners so much love and excitement as they embark on this new endeavor. I recommend for you to join! You’ll be glad you did :)
