So sad that at my class last week they announced they were closing this location. And the other location isn’t available on ClassPass, at least not yet. One of my favorite workout studios, such a bummer to lose this location.

Left my umbrella here once after class and they were able to hold it there for a few days. Staff were exceptional. Khalil the trainer was amazing and made class fun. With the upcoming closure, any job site would be lucky to have them.

Classes are great, but be aware that you will not be let in if you're 10 minutes late. Even at 11 minutes. This rule isn’t written anywhere for classpass members, which makes it hard to know beforehand. I appreciated the staff who acknowledged that and said they’d propose adding it to the classpass profile. Will also keep this in mind.

What I didn’t appreciate was the one staff member who spoke in a dismissive tone, repeatedly, claiming this is just common for all group fitness classes. As if asking HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW HUH. Off the top of my head I can name studios that have a similar class format but with no cutoffs (Title, Nuboxx). If someone isn’t aware of a rule that was never communicated, just explain it and make it clearer for the public next time. No need to judge anyone.

I did my first introductory class with Khalil and he was such an amazing instructor! It's been a hot minute since I've done such high intensity workouts and he was patient, encouraging, and high energy which helped push me to the end! I'm definitely coming back and highly suggest anyone who needs a reliever and workout to come over to Rumble DC! 🌈🌈🌈

Mostly love this place. Great instructors and classes. There is one annoying blonde at the front desk who is always switching people's places in class for some reason. Nobody paid you to curate vibes, chica -- give it a break! Other than her, great place.

I had my first boxing experience at a gym in Atlanta and was hoping to find something similar when I moved to D.C.—Rumble DC exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and professional.

Kahlil, the trainer for my session, was exceptional. He struck the perfect balance—motivating without being pushy—and kept both me and another first-timer completely engaged throughout the workout. His energy and encouragement made the class both challenging and enjoyable.

The $99 unlimited 30-day trial was exactly what I was looking for—no long-term commitment upfront, just a chance to try it out. It turned out to be one of the best workout experiences I’ve ever had. I’m looking forward to many more sessions at Rumble DC! Highly recommend.

Rumble DC changed the game for me! I first tried their studio back in January of 2024 and shortly afterwards I was a regular. Once I took Chris’s Monday night class I was hooked. His music and instruction style were so motivating and inclusive and kept me coming back week after week. After close to a year of going once a week, I decided to set a goal of 100 classes in a year for 2025 and started to go much more frequently. I’ve come to love not only Chris, but also B. Allen, Will, Mel, and Khalil as instructors, and some of the front desk and sales staff have also become people I look forward to seeing and chatting with! Jordan, Kayla, and A especially. Everything about this place is great and I’m so glad to be a full time member!

Rumble is hands down my favorite studio in DC. ALL of the coaches bring their own unique personality and expertise to classes, so you’re always learning and growing in every class. The times of classes are flexible, so I’m never worried about not finding time in my schedule to go. I HIGHLY recommend becoming a member to level up your boxing. Shoutout to ALL the coaches and Rumble staff for making the rumble experience so great and for the rumble dc community.

Love Rumble! After over a year and a half as a 1x a week Classpass visitor I finally splurged for the unlimited membership to really get in shape ahead of my wedding, since I knew I already liked the workout.

So worth it. The studio is great: spacious, clean, well-stocked, and (my favorite part) the infrared sauna has been great for recovery. All the coaches are good but definitely shoutout to Khalil, he really takes time to get to know people and help with technique.

Absolutely love this rumble location! The coaches are great, the facilities are well maintained, and the front desk staff is welcoming and accommodating. Some stand outs for me are Coach Chris who has the BEST music taste, Coach Will who gives great form guidance, and Sarah at the front desk who has provided me with excellent customer service! Would recommend Rumble and this studio without any reservations!

The workouts are fun and fast paced. The boxing bags are extremely satisfying to hit because they're filled with water instead of sand. The gym has a cool vibe and great music, without trying too hard to be trendy. This was the perfect gym when I was recovering from a knee injury because I could get a great cardio and weight workout in, and easily modify as needed. I recommend getting the full pass so you can access the infrared saunas.
Added bonus- everyone who works there is super friendly and welcoming.

When I first starting doing Rumble it had been years since I had exercised consistently and for me the darker room lights, motivating music, welcoming front desk, and encouraging trainers all played a part in me making fitness and exercise a consistent practice throughout my week. The workout and trainers make the experience a joyful one, where you are supported and never shamed. Because you can set your own pace I feel like all fitness levels can benefit.

I love Rumble DC, and between the New York and DC locations I've introduced it to over 20 of my friends and I continue to enthusiastically recommend it.

Fun atmosphere, great workout, but grab some earplugs at the front desk. It's LOUD in there.

Inside feels like a rave -- dark, bright colorful lights, loud music -- and it's hard to hear the instructor, but it's great if you want to get in the zone and throw some punches.

Classes are more about getting your heart rate up than learning technique, so maybe not the best for people with zero boxing experience.

They have glove rentals for $3 and quick hand wraps for $8 (that you keep). Super clean facilities and they had a lot of nice touches: lockers that you don't need a lock for, disposable combs in the bathrooms, hair ties and ear plugs, shower and hair products in the women's restroom, etc.

Was hoping to get my boyfriend who is moving to DC hooked onto Rumble, and I understood from a friend who went to Rumble on her own for the first time last week that she was able to call in and ask for a free first class to give it a try before committing to the one plus one first timer package or the $75 for 3 classes package.

I just called Rumble and was told that because of new management (management change happened a few months ago...), they are not able to comp first-timers a free class anymore. I was also told that my boyfriend would have to join classpass or buy a package if he wanted to give Rumble a try. The person I spoke to on the phone also said that my asking about the availability of a free class "puts his job on the line".

I've been on the fence about switching from Classpass and Rumble ad hoc class purchases to a Rumble member package, but with this experience I think I'll be sticking to Classpass. It does not sound like Rumble is a good place to buy packages at (and honestly it does not sound like a great place to work either if such small things would put your job on the line...), and at least the flexibility of Classpass would allow you to leave/move on to other studios any time. Rumble has been a fun place for me to go to the past one month, but it does not seem to be very open to new clients or customers.

I'm looking at other Rumble reviews, and it sounds like Title might be a better place to be (I'm also thinking of Boombox)!

Love this place. The front door is kinda confusing in a good way. We laughed about it and she said everyone gets confused. The classes that I took weren't really for beginners but Im a quick learner so it was fine. You have to pay for gloves and the wraps ($8 or so) But you get to keep the wraps. You can bring your own as well. Clean bathrooms, you can shower and change as well. Secure lockers. Amazing teachers. I would definitely give it a try

The only thing better than the workout is the people. The boxing itself is extremely fun - and definitely inclusive for all levels (I am a beginner myself!)! Even better, the staff at rumble dc are truly fantastic. The coaches are encouraging and friendly, and everyone else who works there is super welcoming and extremely helpful. Would recommend to absolutely anyone!

I had a great time at Rumble! I was just looking for a random boxing gym to maybe just hit a bag of get some sparring in stumbled into this place. The staff was super friendly right off the bat and even hooked me up with a free pair of wraps for my first class just for signing up. As for the class itself, I can't feel my arms. I kept thinking it was going to be over, and they kept adding stuff. So first there's a warm-up and then a few rounds of hitting the water bag. Then you go over to the other side where you do some weights, and I thought that would be the end, so I went a little harder on the waist than I should have, and when the rounds ended, I heard the instructor say "All right everybody back to the other side!"
And I was like... "Other side? Oh my god. I'm supposed to throw more punches after this?!"
But I dug deep and rallied even though I was worried I might puke at one point, but I was really feeding off the music and the group environment to push through. Would definitely recommend for a great workout.
Oh, and the facilities are great! Free towels, body wash, face wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotions, shaving cream, oh my! And all of it was better than the stuff at my house. 😅
Definitely will be returning sometime soon. 🥊🥊

I love Rumble. It’s such an amazing workout class and great addition to any work out regime you may have. My favorite instructor is Mona because she’s so interactive with her class. She checks in and corrects your form which I feel is so important for people who are new or for who continue to do HIT classes like this.

The staff is incredibly excellent as well. Amazing energy every time ! And all the instructors are great that I have had. ❤️

If I could give Rumble 10 stars I would. I started coming here 6 months after major ankle surgery and I was very nervous about keeping up. 6 weeks later and I see how much stronger I've gotten. I leave every class feeling tired but happy. Rumble is such a fantastic full-body workout and it's FUN.

My favorite instructor is Arnie because he will 100% hold you accountable for your workout but he is also supportive and really cares about everyone in his class. I have had to modify exercises a few times but I still feel like I work myself to the max.

The only small negative with Rumble is the lack of afternoon classes on the weekends. I am not a morning person and would love to see classes go to 2-3pm, rather than ending around 1pm.

I was excited to try Rumble because I've seen it all over social media and I've been wanting to get into boxing!

PROS: Registering for a class was easy and the front desk staff was super nice and helpful. The wraps were only $5 bucks and I got to keep them which was great! The class was high-energy, dark with bright red lights, and great music. Lots of motivation!

CONS: The price. HOLY COW this place is expensive. For me, the class is way too similar to Orangetheory and I was looking for a more authentic boxing class (which I've now found with TITLE Boxing.) If you are new to boxing like me, the class might prove to be too fast paced for your first few classes. The instructors go very quickly and on top of it being loud, it is dark and if you're in the back it's hard to see what they are doing to accompany what they're saying (which you may not be able to hear in the first place!)

Overall, a decent experience. I will probably go back here and there when I find myself wanting to switch up my Orangetheory/TITLE routine. It's a nice combination of the two.

I took Arnie's class and it was my first time in boxing gloves in front of a punching bag ever. However, I caught on extremely quickly and Arnie's guidance and energy made the class fun and empowering. It is the perfect workout for someone looking to get strong and feel great while doing it. Arnie's music definitely helped too!! Highly recommend!!

Badass is how I feel every time I leave Rumble, especially with Arnie and Mona’s classes. The workout is always unique and tailored to the instructors expertise and background. Also the facilities and staff are stellar! Go get yo’ rumble on!

I have been taking classes with Arnie since the day the studio opened its doors and I am hooked. He is one of the best instructors I have encountered in the DC area. He is different. He always brings the fire with his playlists and energy and the workouts never disappoint.

Rumble provides all of the amenities you will need(showers, towels, dry bar products, etc) to freshen up and get on with your day or night.

It doesn’t matter if it’s your first class or your 50th - you’re sure to get in a great work out and most importantly you’ll enjoy yourself while you’re doing it.

LOVE Rumble. Having taken it in NYC every time I went for a visit, I was so excited when I learned it was coming to DC. I was there on opening day and have been weekly since. This studio and instructors live up to the NY concept. The instructors are fire, music bomb and workout challenging but short enough to power through it. My favorite instructor there is Arnold (aka Arnie Abs) and he lives up to his nickname killing us with 3 - 6 minutes of dedicated core work. If you haven't been yet, quit waiting...it is time to rumble!

As a Washingtonian I have seen alot of boxing type workouts come and go pver the years. Yet, Rumble came at the perfect time in my life and here are the things I enjoy. Yes, this is long but before you make the investment or any investment I think it is important for you to know what you are getting into. Hope to see you in the ring and if I misspelled something, forgive me.

1. The workouts are structured. I like that every class has the same format (punches review, warm up, combination, ab work and the rumble round). I am missing some things but you get my point. While the format is the same, the workouts are varied, the warm ups are interesting and there is something to be said for consistency.

2. The facility looks nice and is well maintained. I have not yet changed in the studio due to my schedule but I like the products, general cleanliness and overall vibe. I never dread going and I have not experienced a nasty bathroom because trust me I would tell you if I had. Also, I love the oversized Abe boxing. All of it for the drama, the gram or whatever but the facility makes me smile everytime.

3. I have taken every instructor including the head guy and his wife Mr. Andrew and Mrs. Julia Stern but DC has talent to be proud of. All of the trainers are tremendous but these three trainers I have taken their classes multiple times.

-- Sharon Kim - I am not sure how she is described on the website and don't really care but she is fire, spunk, light and motivator all packed into a 1-2 punch. She came back from a concussion (true story). In her class, we are all queens and I am here for all of it as many times as I can be in a week.

--Kareem Cooper - Singer, model, motivator, fitness guru, and yes he has killer abs and a smile to boot in his 1-2 punch. His classes have that wonderful mix of the old school and new school music to get you through when TRUST me you don't want to do whatever he is asking because the workouts are HAAARD. His motto is simple. Hardwork and dedication...

--Josh Rasch - He actually was the last trainer I experienced and now I am hooked BUT my favorite part of the class is the cool down (largely because that means the tough workout is over) but moreso because he always talks to us like we are athletes, he talks about the power of our mindset and facing challenges. Also, he encourages people to keep moving. In other words, you don't have to do everything perfect but if you are doing something (which matters to me) you are already winning.

I think I have to end this book but I will say if you haven't tried it out, do it and I realize the price for some is high but I do think there are ways to space out classes and make it affordable. Also, it is an investment in yourself in a different way so maybe less lattes one week to do this. I think you will find yourself hooked.

Thank you Rumble DC. Glad to have you in my city.

Ambience of studio is well worth the price of the class. Bring your own gloves, wrap, and water and all extra amenities are free of charge! Shower is inclusive of drybar products and lockers offer free charging. The physical classes have a great atmosphere and are uplifting. Really fun boxing workout. I've been to the studio in New York a few times so I already went in knowing what to expect but was still really excited to check out DC's very own studio.

The studio is very spacious with lots of locker space. Some lockers even have charging ports for your phone.

I took a class with Arnie and loved his upbeat attitude and kickass playlist. He was very informative and demonstrated all the punches and floor exercises. I think this class can be a little confusing for beginners to boxing so I appreciated that he took the time to show everyone what was going on.

All in all, this is a really great studio. Unfortunately, it's way too expensive for me to be a regular here but I will be back every now and then!

You’re paying for the photo-op; if you’re doing it for anything BUT the Gram, move on. I have two major qualms: (1) I didn’t learn anything new, challenging, or fun; and (2) maybe I would have if I knew what I should be doing. The workout is inexplicably basic, nothing I couldn’t do on my own. Worse yet, for half of my time on the mat, I had no idea what we were supposed to be doing. He would quickly demo all moves in a set at the beginning, and then just leave us to our own devices. I got to the ball, and the boxing moves were just basic combos. You would burn way more calories doing a YouTube video, or spending the amount of about two workouts on a month-long membership somewhere else.

In sum- it’s the social media experience of workouts. If you want something super light and cute, this is perfect. If you’re actually trying to get fit- it’s a no.
