Pros: I genuinely like the classes! They push you, I feel stronger, the people are nice.
Cons: they did a “new client giveaway” at my first class and told me I had a package for 4 free classes, but never managed to credit them to me despite my following up multiple times. I probably would have come back without the free classes, and with the free classes I probably would have gotten hooked and become a regular customer (probably the goal!)… but now that I was promised free classes and they reneged, I feel annoyed enough that I don’t want to come back 🤷🏻♀️
TLDR it seems like a good workout but a badly managed business, and that’s just not worth it to me when there are other great options for workouts that don’t have the same drawbacks. But it might be worth it to others!

The first group fitness class I run away from! 😂 I’m used to gym group classes (Les Milles), barre3, pure barre, yoga, Pilates, TRX, etc.). Never had an issue and understand the first time can be challenging. BUT always felt supported and helped as a beginner. I recently moved to DC and decided to try this studio nearby. The instructor talked non-stop super fast (think soccer commentator, but no pauses), didn’t care to correct posture or answer questions. The workout felt either super easy or hard with nothing in-between and no way of knowing if I was using the equipment correctly. Overall, a very poor impression of the studio. Beginners beware!

I was charged for a class for this location that i never been to??? Nice workout but do not give your credit card information. They will make unauthorized transactions on your account. I completed & paid for the unlimited two week trial. However I didn’t want to go forward with a membership after the trial i already paid for. They charged my card for two classes ($70). Thankfully, I have one receipt to know which instructor made that purchase to dispute it with my bank. It is also hard to get in contact with their front desk/customer service. I like solidcore but this incident just turned me off from it. I don’t know if i feel comfortable with making a purchase from them now.

Love SolidCore! The AdMo crew is friendly and encouraging. I’ve been doing this workout for a year now and it’s still just as challenging as the first day I joined. Don’t be intimidated give it a try!

The workout itself is fine but Im over the whole “faux-polite-mean-girls” vibe of the staff. It seems they are trying to get you to pay for classes you don’t take - my colleague said she bought two classes and when she went to book was told it “expired”. I bought a buy one get one free but, despite my efforts to draw their attention to a tech issue that meant I couldn’t book, it took them weeks to figure out the problem. By then my second class credit “expired”. Etc.

Solidcore is the best full body workout on the planet. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Working out just twice a week has changed my body, increasing my muscle tone and endurance. Nothing quite prepares you for it, but if you stick with it, the results are real.

This was a great workout, super challenging. It was hard to hear the instructor during many parts and I felt like I was just watching people around me to figure out what to do. I got a very brief walk through when I got there, and it could have been more in depth with an overview of the moves we would be doing.

Overall everything was great. Good studio facilities, clean, good location, etc. My 3 star review is because the class I attended could be improved so much, I’ve been to other classes where they actually show you and explain the movements at the same time you are doing it but here there was a lack of effort in walking through the reps with us. Also at the end the instructor added so much weight that no one was able to complete the arm reps, that could be harmful and also it breaks the concentration cycle you are into. She could pay more attribution into that and if everyone is struggling be helpful in adjusting the weight that she selected in the first place.

SolidCore is absolutely incredible and life-changing. It’s a tough class with a challenging format. Essentially pilates on steroids + weight training + cardio. I can guarantee you will leave sore. I started at the beginning of the pandemic and still go to this day. It’s turned into a healthy addiction. Plus the Adams Morgan studio is the best in the area and attracts the strongest clients. If you’re looking to take your fitness to the next level, try SolidCore. And don’t let that reformer machine scare you. Totally worth the workout!

My happy place. I come here for a challenge, and always leave feeling motivated, sore, and ready to come back for more. Definitely the most effective workout for me. Friendly clients, helpful coaches, and nice studios. If you haven't tried it, what are you waiting for?!

I've been attending for about 18 months. The coaches are helpful and personable. Great routine for strengthening back and core muscles. It's made a tremendous difference in my quality of life, and I recommend it to anyone suffering from back issues.

Unfortunately, they are very similar to other Pilates places in that no one is really willing to help someone who needs a bit of assistance in their routine. I'm able to do the majority of it, but due to a shoulder issue, I can't do a part of the oblique program. No one was able to give me a mod that would allow me not to throw my shoulder but still work my obliques. Their Client Relations Manager, Meghan Bradshaw, ghosted me after I asked a question. They offered something that was not healthy for me or something that didn't make sense and then just refused to discuss it further. If you have an injury, be careful going to classes.

Absolutely THE BEST Pilates studio!!! I really love it! The classes are hard...and you will be in pain most of the time and you will be sore for a while...but it's totally worth it! No pain no gain, right? You will want to come back. Go and try it ASAP!

Unfriendly staff + mediocre facilities. It was a challenging workout, but there didn't seem to be anything to gain from the class atmosphere in terms of instruction/correction/or the general workout experience. I'd have preferred to do an online work out video.
Stick with pure barre/soul cycle/flywheel or some of the other great fitness offerings around DC. Solidcore is not on the level of other studio experiences or classes.

DO IT! I came to class for the first time a few weeks ago. I was super nervous because I hadn't worked out in quite some time, but I am SO happy that I made the leap! The workout is challenging, but the coaches provide you with positive reinforcement the whole way through. Each class feels like a team effort, and this inspires me to push my hardest. Thanks you! Can't wait for my next class.

The most intense workout class I've ever taken, it leaves you sore in muscles you didn't know you had!
If someone doesn't think it's hard, they're doing it wrong. Start with a 'Basics'/beginner class to get instructions on each move (yes, it is a bit hard to get the hang of the machine, but so worth it).

I wanted to write a quick review about this gym, I have been to one class before about a year ago with a friend and I decided to go back... I think that was the first bad decision of the day... the gym did not impress me, the instructor was ok... the employees on the other hand were not the nicest. The class was a little underwhelming, I could have got a better work out with an insanity dvd. I probably will not go back another time.

Hardest workout in DC, and this is the best of the studios (in my humble opinion). So if you want the real deal, start here. Stressful day? Stress is out of my head for 50 minutes because if you're thinking about something else, you'll fall off the machine ;-). This is at least 2 workouts in one, with about 12-14 people in the class, making the price worth it. So if you like efficiency and butt kicking and a six pack, this is for you.

[solidcore] is the most challenging workout I've ever done. Every class is a different sequence of moves, so your muscles are shocked every time, guaranteeing that you will not plateau! The studio culture is warm and welcoming, you will always leave feeling amazing about yourself and the new friends you make!

[solidcore] is the best workout I have found in DC. Extremely intense, it forces you to push pass what you think you are capable of to reach that next level in a motivating, positive environment. [solidcore] is a must-have part of my weekly routine! Coaches are particular about form and safety and help clients reach their peak performance without being aggressive. Cancellation policy guarantees you don't let yourself off the hook to workout when you commit to class and was critical to my accountability factor when I was a new client.

Be wary if it is your first time trying Solid Core. They are strict on their 'cancellation' policy, and will not allow you to reschedule the class if you are within the 12 hour window of the class. Furthermore, be sure not to email the Client Relations Manager, Meghan Bradshaw, because she "respond[s] to all emails within a 24 hour period," and was of no assistance (or sympathetic, for that matter). While most organizations operate under the rationale that, "the customer is always right," clearly Solid Core departs from this standard and holds itself to something less than exceptional... to say the least.

This fitness studio is the best workout I have ever had! Coming from a dance background when I was active 5+ hours a day... it's crazy to say, but I'm more fit more than ever now. Check it out of you haven't already. Guaranteed butt kicking
