This gym is transformative! It is a cross between crossfit and boxing with a lot of encouragement along the way. The people who are apart of the sessions are really nice and supportive. The instructor makes sure you are on task with the perfect balance of ensuring your are doing the exercises correctly without making you feel like you do not know what you are doing. One of the best trainers in DC! I have been training with Greg for about 4 months. I’ve really enjoyed working out with him and he helped me get much stronger. I was at the worst shape of life overwhelmed with the amount of weight I gained. I reached out to teamnewby to see how to get started.I was set up a detail plan to begin my weight lose journey. Teamnewby was patient, encouraging and keep me on track. Days I didn’t feel like working out I was pushed and reminded me of the goals we set. I lost 20lbs in two month as well as toned up . I came across Greg’s group class’ videos, and I was intrigued. After talking to him in person, I decided to give it a try. Pandemic definitely made me isolated, overweight and just unmotivated in general. But Newby’s classes are bringing me back to life. I didn’t realize how much fun it can be working out with a group of people! Greg keeps us on our toes with his challenging but fun workouts and encouragement along the way. I also like that he has offers different times so anybody can find what works for them. People who attend his classes – are great as well! I cancelled my regular gym membership, and planning on sticking around with Greg for now.

I’ve worked out with Greg on and off for a few years. Work relocations are the only reason for the gaps. I always return knowing that he will be engaging, motivating, fun and most of all I’d see results. He operates his classes knowing that everyone performs at different levels physically and provides individual attention when necessary. He’s very knowledgeable on various levels of mental and physical fitness that definitely helps strengthen one’s drive for better health. I appreciate that his classes are cautious of the current need for distancing and sanitation.

I've been training with Greg for almost a year. He is far and above the best trainer i've ever worked with. You will get a GREAT workout in with him and watch your body get stronger with each class. He is high-energy, incredibly motivating, deeply cares and invests in getting to know you as a person, and brings his full self to every single class. One of the most notable qualities in him as a coach/trainer is his ability to know when you've maxed out and when you can be pushed a little further. Training with Greg is hands down the best part of my weekends (i typically work with him on the weekends). He is also incredibly responsive and communicative - so all the logistical stuff of signing up etc.. is super easy.

First I must say the price is great compared to the quality and professionalism I have received with this business. I’ve been searching for a training whom would work with my schedule and give me that individual attention. I attended 3 group workouts and every time I feel there no pressure to compete with the others but to complete my workout and feel better than when we started.
