Would not recommend signing up for a membership. I have called, sent emails and signed forms to cancel my membership. I finally gave up and just let the year ride out. A year has gone by, my contract is canceled and they are still charging me. I stopped going to the gym in the first place because the environment is awful.

This place should honestly be called the Daytona Scam Club. The new owners randomly doubled membership fees with zero transparency and then lied about ever giving notice — they didn’t. I never signed anything agreeing to ‘bi-weekly’ billing, yet they charged it anyway. When I brought it to their attention, they lied to my face and made zero effort to resolve the issue or retain a client. They were perfectly fine with taking my money. If they’ll steal from me, they’ll steal from you too. Completely shady business practices — avoid at all costs!

After FL Healthcare goes away for VCS folk, it’s $40 monthly here. Could be worth it…Great power equipment, nice desk staff. Pretty much enough of everything to do a great strength workout. Wipe rags are soggy (suggest fresh rag per person or wipes like EFC). Really need to give staff ability to address THE GRUNTING LIFTER with results. This guy does it every session, regardless of what he’s pushing, pulling, lifting, pressing, or machine-working, and it’s louder than noise canceling ear buds. When asked to stop, he said it’s his MO, has been doing it this way for
years (hogging 5 sets of DBs across three benches/seats to himself) and it’s a public space. Not worth $40 a month if I have to endure this. Please help!!

I like this gym and used to be a member for awhile. Moving back to Daytona But $75? Really? Why would you raise your price to $75. All the equipment except the couple of new arsenal pieces is old and used. And from a body building perspective arsenal is some of the worst equipment. Yeah you put some new graffiti & painted the place and put a chill out zone which only few people would use… but that’s not worth raising your price to $75. Top tier gyms with double sqft and top notch equipment & crazy amenities don’t even charge $75… I think I’ll be going to NXT level supplements gym, Golds Daytona. Hopefully Daytona opens some better gyms🤦🏻‍♂️

After being an OG member since 2017 and adding on my spouse 2 years ago, we got royally screwed when trying to cancel bc we moved to the other side of FL. Told we didnt have a cancellation fee but its a lie. Its $300 even if youre told its untrue. Someone signed our names and put us on a 25 month contract that we never agreed to. We had to pay for another month even though we told them in a timely manner that we're moving. One of us hasn't even been there since March ans told them. Still charged. Still had to pay cancellation. Still forced to pay another month. The owner acts like its out of his hands and its the CC company's problem. Unacceptable. Just now youre not signing up for what you think.

Half the equipment is broken, misplaced and messy anyway. Every single day you visit.

This is a fantastic gym if you don’t ever need to use the men’s locker room. I have been going to this gym for several years, before management changed. The weight and machine assortment is very large which is great. They are obviously putting in a lot of money into equipment. I really enjoy this gym, but if you are someone who likes to shower after their workout before work, go somewhere else. The men’s locker room is absolutely disgusting. The carpet is covered in stains, there is a strong smell, one of the toilets isn’t bolted down correctly, one of the sink faucets doesn’t even work, but worst of all is the showers. They have probably months of grime built up on the walls and floor. They smell terrible, and there’s even used Zyns and bandaids on the floor of one of the showers. (they have been there for over a month) I have been holding off on writing this review in hopes they get better, but today there was literal feces in one of the shower stalls. I immediately notified the front staff, but that is still disgusting. I have asked the front desk if they ever intend to update the bathroom, but they didn’t know. I really like this gym, but watching them put lots of money into wall art and a recovery room instead of renovating the old and nasty locker rooms is sad to see.

Daytona fitness is an extremely roomy, versatile gym with plenty of equipment for almost any nature of workout. Being 24/7, it’s convenient if you find yourself in the south Daytona area frequently. The staff is helpful and courteous, and they keep the place fairly clean. It’s welcoming for beginners, and hardcore for gym rats.
It’s an incredible gym, the best one I’ve been to so far in the volusia area.

Big gym with a lot of potential. It is 90% under construction, so the main room is okay but everything else reminds me of a storage space in your basement. Lol. Also there’s re-usable rags to wipe down the machines and not like personal rags, which grossed me out lol.

I know when it’s done it will be a beautiful gym, I just wish I knew that it was under construction to this extent before I came in! I want to leave a good, honest review. I do think this location has the potential to become a 5 star gym. Overall I would say this is the start of a great gym.

The Good:
• Large variety of equipment targeted toward a wide array of training styles.
• There is a selection of Rouge Power / Ohio / Deadlift bars and Competition Plates.
• 4 Deadlift Platforms, 5 Power Racks (which can be used for squats), and 2 Squat Racks in the back, and 4 Benches in front.
• 24-hour access.
• It's clear that the gym owner is actively listening to feedback and trying to make this gym a better experience.

The Bad:
• Billing is not transparent. In fact, it's pretty shady, and I've heard horror stories about cancelling memberships. I personally have an annual membership, but it was like pulling teeth to even get it offered. Salespersons will tell you about how you get billed bi-weekly for your convenience, and that you're basically paying $50 a month. This disregards the fact that bi-weekly payments are 26 payments or 13 months in a year. The intent comes across as sneaky when told "basically $50 a month" because it's very and quite possibly intentionally misleading.
• The locker rooms are not particularly clean and have a strange odor. I've seen the same band-aid on the floor in the sauna since I signed up. What's up with the used outdoor furniture?
• This is just a pet peeve, but there's a large variety of weight plates that do not match, and they're generally poorly organized throughout the gym. Some of the dumbbells and other equipment throughout the gym have significant damage to them.
• There is a giant hole in the ground in front of the dumbbells weightlifting area that's just masked with some rubber tiles and road base.

Here are some areas that I would like to see improvement or changes:
• Ceiling fans would be nice.
• Folding chairs in the "powerlifting" room would be a nice quality of life -- a lot of people use boxes or benches to sit between sets.
• A larger quantity of Rogue competition plates for when multiple people are using them -- there's barely enough for two people to deadlift 4 plates (which isn't a lot of weight for a serious powerlifter).
• Competition benches would be wonderful.
• Lower or equalized volume on the gym speakers -- some nights it's quiet, other times it's incredibly loud.
• Replace the tiles in the sauna.

Personally I find the lighting in the gym is both nice for posing and extremely distracting while actually working out. I think just cleaning the mirrors would change my impression here.

Overall, this is a great gym that's almost never busy at the hour I go to visit. If you live near this gym and can swing the premium, this is the best choice outside of more specialized gyms like Perfect Storm in Holly Hill.

I recently joined this gym. I was a charter member of another 24 hr gym that got sold and went down hill. I tried another gym that had multiple locations, but only had certain machines or equipment at one gym. I used to find myself driving from location to location to get the machines I liked .
Then I found this place. All the machines, benches and racks plus cross fit that you could want under one roof and they are still building.
The place is clean, equipment is all new. Highly reccomend this gym.

What everyone is saying about cancelling membership is true. They will keep charging you even though you move out of Daytona. I had the worst experience ever. They will keep charging you membership fee and annual membership fee. They will threat you that they will send it to the collections if you remove your card information after canceling. They keep telling me that they sent members about increase of membership via email but I never received it.

The gym is keep contacting me to take down the review. Stop contacting me. The price was not worth it either way.

Great gym to visit while on vacation. They have every piece of equipment you could imagine and it's very roomy. Most days I did my own routine, but did a group exercise class one day that was good. I would definitely join this gym if they had one near my home.

My wife and I were visiting from out of town. The staff made it easy to sign up for a week long guest pass. They were helpful and courteous and strived to provide great service.

The gym including the workout rooms were clean and had a very comfortable atmosphere. There was plenty of equipment, even during busy hours, and they had about three sets of equipment for each muscle group.

They doubled the price of my membership this year and the changes did not really warrant that price increase for me. Upon cancelling I was told to email and then I pay for another 30 days after they responded within a few days. There was no response so I called again and was told to contact an entirely different entity to cancel it immediately once they responded.

This is my favorite gym in the Daytona area, super spacious, staff is super friendly and helpful. The environment is awesome, new equipment and new renovations are being made. Also, my favorite thing about the gym is the community and NO CROWDS!! You won’t be waiting for a machine.

I joined this gym through the original owner who put me on a Healthcare employee membership. I was paying $16.54 after tax. New owner first stated they my payment would stay the same. A few months later, he stated that the pay was going up $4. But he NEVER informed me that I was to pay every two weeks. That's going from $16.54 to 40.58. A huge jump I was never informed of. No conversation, no letter, nor email was received. I had to send an email to cancel the membership. I was told it took 7 business day to respond to my request. The email I received stated it will take another 30 days to cancel my membership. And stated they I will be charged for 06/21/24 & 07/05/24. I have not been to this gym since May. The current owner is over charging people, and He sees no problem with it. THIS GYM IS NOT WORTH THE MEMBERSHIP!!! PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COST!!!

As we travel we always look for day/week passes at local gyms and places to work out. Newer owner we met was super nice, remembered us by first and last name each day, and lots of new and upcoming upgrades made this a super nice place. Thankful we were able to come here. Daytona Fitness is by far the best gym in town. If you haven’t been since the new owner took over you will not recognize it. There’s thousands of dollars of new equipment, it’s now 24 hours, and is well taken care of in every way. The owner is very receptive to suggestions and the sauna is never broken, unlike other gyms in the area. If you’re looking for a new home gym stop in and check it out.

I’ve been going to Daytona Fitness Club on and off for a couple years now. But this time around was under the new ownership of Colson Taylor and I can definitely say I am pleased with everything so far. There has been a lot of upgrades that have definitely changed the game. The gym is now 24 hour accessible, there have been new equipment added, a new layout to all the equipment. Daytona Fitness Club has a theme of red, black and silver, and they have definitely been making everything follow suite. And lastly, the cleanliness of the place has improved significantly. Between the gym floors and the bathrooms it is great!! So overall I am very happy with my gym experience, and I would highly recommend if you are looking for a new gym!!

Absolutely best gym in the area, and I can confidently say that having tried them all. Excellent equipment selection, including brand new Rogue barbells (including speciality deadlift and Olympic varieties) and Hammer Strength deadlift platforms. The owner is constantly improving the place and takes the members’ input to heart.

Maybe the most well rounded gym in the area. Whether you’re a bodybuilder, power lifter, or just beginning your fitness journey, club has the best space for all of it.
