Went to my first ever yoga class here with my cousin who is local. Loved it! Dawn was an exceptional teacher. Loved the chanting and gongs. I found myself feeling pure joy and a sense of community. Hoping to find something like this back in Minnesota. Thank you for such a terrific experience!

I've been doing Yoga with them for long Time. Everythin was good. Since they just rise the prices even when i was with a 6 month plan. Not even wait till this ends. Sad

The class was a great, studio was nice and spacious and you can tell the teacher was knowledgeable and genuine.

My biggest problem was 1. The girl in front of me was recording the entire class on her phone, with me and others in the background. And 2. The front desk person also came around recording us multiple times during class.

I understand the need for authentic content, but in my opinion allowing this completely distracts from anyone trying to have an internal and private experience in yoga. Never have seen this at any studio I’ve been to in the last decade.

Attended the Tuesday night class with Harry Lopez. What an incredible experience! THIS IS YOGA. The class helped me get to a deeper place with my meditation and was exactly what I needed. Harry’s energy is so loving and supportive, exactly as a yogi instructor should be. Everyone at the studio was lovely. I look forward to my next class with Harry!

Amazing place! I mainly had classes with Elissa, Zack and Daniel. All great instructors and are committed to the practice and creating community. Miami is Miami but this one of the more down to earth places, I’ve been. Although, I’ve left the city, this is one place I’ll miss as much as the Ocean and my ONLY regret is not joining sooner. I wasn’t a fan of the dogs that came to class HOWEVER, they were all well behaved, just not my thing. (Miami has an untrained dog problem). If you’re looking to get grounded or begin your practice, I’d start here! I seriously can’t imagine a better studio. Anytime I go back to visit, I’ll be sure drop in. Thank you all! Peace and Blessings! 🙏🏽

Space: 5 star
Variety: 5 star
Classes/Teachers: 2-5 star, depending on teacher

Was a member here for over a year and overall, Ahana does an excellent job of having classes nearly 24/7 with options for everyone, and at all time of a day. That being said: if you don't know what you're in for, you can be disappointed or annoyed.

Most of the classes are what I'd call Miami yoga -- teachers yelling "happy baby, happy husband" while cueing booty shakes in poses (especially weekend classes). Fun if that's what you're going for, but if you're expecting a spiritual and conscious breathing flow with a focus on proper alignment and to feel a sense of grounded connection of mind and body (the meaning and purpose of 'yoga' when translated), go for the classes taught by Debbie, Jessica, Caro, or Vanessa.

For the beginners: Ahana isn't a particularly beginner-friendly studio; flows are fast in most classes and there's little attention to proper alignment. Gentle yoga is a class to start with if you're new to yoga.

One of the most annoying things about this studio is that there is always at least a few people recording themselves in class (not for training purposes). It's like the onlyfans of yoga.

There is also zero respect by staff/front desk and classes outgoing when the other classes are incoming. It is one large open space, and you'll have people sticking around after class talking while a new class is starting. Disappointing because the people speaking are usually the actual staff who should know better (not class lingerers)

Don't go to weekend classes if you enjoy breathing space, you'll be packed into a room like sardines. Arrive early if you want a good spot.

Temperature: I like that it's not heated, but it's not cold (there are heaters in the front if you want very hot)

I like the general Ahana’s atmosphere, the singing, the smell of various oils, the music:) got used to a few things that I did not like in the beginning, like people recording and classes running over time. Really like Ashley’s classes, down to Earth and relaxing.

AHANĀ Is such a special place. Is definitely not for everyone, but then again if you aren’t just like everyone else then it’s just perfect for you. I came here as a student, Joined the YTT and I received so much love and support from my teachers and just the entire team, As a woman of color in multiple communities where Yoga is exclusive to a “white/rich” group of people. I’m happy I found a place where they make Yoga inclusive for ALL. Thanks Casita ❤️

My least favorite yoga class I’ve ever taken. Not the cleanest studio I’ve been in and it was just the instructor chatting away about things that didn’t make sense. Also front desk guy wasn’t very friendly. It seemed like the class right before mine at 7:45 pm was better as people were doing some great stretches I wish we would’ve tried. Probably won’t come back.

Me encanta!

When I first started going to this studio, I loved it and would have easily given it 5 stars. The vibe lately has definitely changed, and I don’t know why, but it’s made me stop wanting to go. It’s really cliquey, and there are just Instagram influencers everywhere. Like I’ve never seen so many phones out during a yoga class before. Maybe it’s just me, but the vibe is all wrong now. I go to yoga to escape materialism and attachments, and it’s really challenging to not pass judgment when it’s constantly in your face. I love you guys, and I hope the Ahana love comes back soon 🤍✨

Friends of color: Be very careful when dealing with this studio. They are turning BIPOC into a money-making scam. I contacted the studio because they advertised a scholarship for a YTT program. They disclosed that it was reserved for BIPOC (see pic), which I am. I am a non white-presenting Nicaraguan Latin with dark skin & features.

I met with Carolina Velazquez, the studio manager, a white-passing, light- skinned Latin woman with green eyes for my purported BIPOC scholarship interview. She was incredibly unprofessional, distant & careless during our 6-minute interview. She continued to type on her laptop during the first few minutes of our interaction, ignoring my presence. She didn't even have the decency to stand up and greet me or shake my hand. She did scrutinize me from head to toe and asked me to sit down on the beat-up floor pillows they had.

She flat out told me that they don't offer BIPOC scholarships because they don't have money: this despite the fact that the Web site still mentions the scholarship (see pic). She then told me the only option available is work study. That is, one has to pay $500 as a "deposit" and then work for $20/hr to pay for the rest of the training for a total of $1750

I believe wholeheartedly that if I were a light-skinned Latin or more racially ambiguous like most of the instructors, Carolina would have been more receptive. I also believe they fabricated the "BIPOC" scholarship as a race-baiting scheme to lure minorities into fake interviews in which they are encouraged to give them money rather than receive it.

It is unconscionable that they would feign concern for the BIPOC community when instead they are operating what feels like a scam.

I came here for a while and actually liked the classes, but I thought the owner was unprofessional, looking me up and down when I had to come in to return an item that I noticed had a hole in it when I brought it home. The owner was also very interested in knowing what my background (personally) was. It just seem like she was too busy being petty versus running her business. My two stars are for the very dedicated and hard working instructors.

Poorly managed and not as clean as it should be, surprising since its located in a high-end area. I visited this studio twice and was turned off each time by the lack of cleanliness (hair, mold, dead bugs, mystery sticky liquid). When I brought the issue to the attention of the desk staff, an older woman, she snapped at me for mentioning and if I didn't like it not to come back; I took her advice!

Used to love this place. it used to be much more organized and cleaner, and MOST important it was a True Yoga where you get your practice and be happy at the end of the class. However, this has changed lately where they've adopted the "Heated" class which is a typical copy of other yoga studios in the area and a money driven factored. Yoga is turning into a pure business and Ahana is on board. So sad
The 2 stars are because the instructors are awesome & the classes are amazing.

WOW. This place is home. This place is love, community, all things bhakti. It is magical.

I was on the quest to find a place to feel welcomed, at home, part of something.
Ahana has given me so much love, light, knowledge, and a sense of belonging.
Dawn leads classes with the goal of showing you the true yoga. She incorporates philosophy with a focus of the month that changes every month. Her classes are warm and fun, but extremely powerful. Expect to break a sweat.

This is your studio if you are seeking to advance your yoga practice and be part of a beautiful community. Take every teachers class, they are all AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Also, may I add this studio is also kid friendly? And they love animals too!!!!!

I would like to see this studio make some improvements with cleanliness and organization. There seems to be a lack of coordination with staff behind desk and teaching staff, management is poor. Class is fun and entertaining but not worth a return. There is a large space to sell you very marked up clothing items, which seems where most of the attention is focused and less to sweeping up the hair from the floor, dead insects in bathroom and wiping off nail polish marks on the walls where people have kicked themselves into handstands. Also, if you're allergic to pet hair, the owner brings her very hairy, drooling, very large dog, get ready to sneeze and have your eyes water.
