However, there are too many machines that are always out of order. I’ve been attending for about 7 months, and there are always several machines broken, and they can take months to fix them. It’s uncomfortable, especially when it’s a machine of which there’s only one.

My girlfriend and I were looking around for a new gym and we came across this one. Overall a decent gym. A lot of space and a good amount of equipment. Staffs were kind and welcoming. We signed up for a 3 day pass trial to see if this gym was for us. When we got to the front desk and presented our 3 day trial passes, one of the staff members said that people without a Florida license cannot sign up for the 3 day pass trial. My girlfriend has a Georgia drivers license. There was nothing that was mentioned about having a Florida license prior to signing up for the passes. What surprised me even more was that the staff members knew about the situation for awhile and even admitted that it was something they needed to note on their website to further resolve this situation for those who do not have a Florida drivers license. Therefore, they made one of us pay to access the gym. Paying wasn’t an issue for us but I believe it is ridiculous when they are at fault for not only knowing of the situation but not taking action right away to prevent people from traveling to end up not being able to access a free trial due to a drivers license that’s not from Florida.

We normally goto the Casselberry location, but lately we have found ourselves at Altamonte a couple times a week. Love this location. The staff are all great and super helpful. I moved and could no longer use any of the amped locations conveniently. I called in September to cancel and was told I’d have to do it in person. When I visited the Altamonte Springs location in October to cancel I was told I’d still be charged for October because my payment was set for within 15 days of the date, and because I’d be charged for October, they would also be charging me the annual fee for the year that I would not use their facilities and it could not be waived. Incredibly deceptive business practice from the inability to cancel over the phone all the way to the annual fee.

I have been going to this gym 3 years. I have loved coming here but they have only let it go down hill. The members only door has been broken for 2 years and it is the only Amped like this. Then the front door is constantly broken. Equipment is broken for minimum of two months before it is fixed. Last one is that there a fire code that says they have to be staffed 24 hours and yet they have someone here and their policy said you can only bring guest during staffed hour. That person is not qualified to check a guest in. This is one of the only polices they follow and it doesn’t make sense.

I got my amp passed since it’s a 24 hour gym I bought a VIP pass so I can bring Guest. For over a year I’ve been coming between 10 PM to 1 AM with a guest with no problems Which is what I pay for. All the sudden recently you can only bring a guest till 8 o’clock, which I find odd and the is the only reason I pay for the VIP is because I don’t feel comfortable going to the gym by myself, since I can only come between 10 PM and 1 A.m. I wish it would have been said somewhere that you can only have guests till eight or I would’ve never got my pass in the first. I don’t know what the sudden changes where l Can’t bring guest at night But there’s no reason for me to have a pass now and I would not recommend to others.

I am new to gym life and wanted to start my workout journey as an empty nester. All I wanted was guide on how to use the machine and ended up in a 3 months contract. I was then told I cannot cancel so now my card is being charge for $108 even two weeks for a session I don’t even take. Workout you could go online and follow. We signed up for this gym because it is advertised as 24/7 access and allows to bring guests. What a VIP+ membership can't even open the door, and when we finally got in, we were told that guests have a time limit, which is something never mentioned when we joined. When we asked to downgrade the membership, the staff told us it was not working hours now. Then what exactly are you doing here? I will never come back to this gym, and the most ridiculous part is that I have to return during their "working hours" just to cancel my membership.

I was disappointed to find that the “VIP+” membership offers no noticeable difference compared to a regular membership, and guests are not allowed to use the gym — something that was never posted online or in writing, only mentioned verbally.

I joined about 2 weeks ago and I’m actually loving it. I got the body scan the day after signing up and realized there was some work I needed to do on myself over the last half of the year. My trainer, Malakai, is really attentive - he listens to my concerns, the workouts he gives me are actually tailored to my goals, he’s super responsive if I text him, and he’s easy to talk to. I showed up because it looked like a great gym. I was super excited to sign up and went to the front desk to ask a couple of questions and sign up. But all I was met with is “sorry man, I’m clocking out now.” He said if I wanted a membership just to sign up online. I drove a good ways not to just be told to do it online. If I thought that’s what I needed, I would have done that from the comfort of my home. But I had actual questions and went to commit to a gym and was turned away. I told them I’ll find another gym. Not sure why they do not let you use the hydromassage in the morning. The location in casselberry will let you use it as early as 6. This location claims it's from 9-9 on the weekdays. Why have it available for participants if they cannot use it. Do better Amped. I was debating for 2 & 1/2 hours if I wanted to come to the gym today utilize my 2nd day guest pass. I came after staff hours because I left work around 10pm. Once I mustered up some strength and drove 16mins from my spot just to get here and the door doesn't open for me. What a shame that that was not mentioned to me when I signed up yesterday. Had a very bad experience in the childcare, I wouldn’t recommend leaving your kid with them. My kids were treated very poorly, unprofessional, and this terrible customer service the GM turns a blind eye to.

Additionally, do not pay for the membership that includes classes because there are none. They ended basic yoga months ago when the instructor left, baffled as to why management wouldn’t care to replace with a new instructor. Or offer any other classes. I quit and couldn’t be happier with the competing gym nearby!

The equipment is outdated, with rusty weights and broken cardio machines that haven’t been fixed in months. The staff is unhelpful, often distracted by their phones or chatting instead of assisting members. The gym is filthy—sweaty equipment, grimy floors, and a locker room that smells like it’s never been cleaned. Overcrowding is a constant issue, especially during peak hours, making it impossible to get a workout in without waiting. The membership fees are outrageously high for the poor quality, and canceling was a nightmare due to their shady contract policies. I’d never recommend this place to anyone serious about fitness.

Best part of coming to the gym is the awesome child care staff! The child care manager with blue hair I think her name is Angel is always on top of staff, keeping the room nice and making parents happy. My kids ADORE her! 🙂

If I could give zero stars, I would. I’ve been loyal to Amp Fitness for FIVE YEARS, paying $10 a month, never missing a payment. Then, out of nowhere, they decide to start pulling $16 a month from my account without my consent, without my knowledge, without even the basic decency of a notice or email. Just one day — BAM — they’re stealing more money from me.

This is completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and honestly feels like fraud. No communication, no transparency, just blatant disrespect for their customers. After years of loyalty, this is how they treat people? It’s disgusting. I’m canceling immediately and warning everyone I know to stay far away from Amp Fitness. You don’t just get to change someone’s payments without telling them — that’s theft.

Absolutely shameful business practices. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Also, they will not allow you under any circumstance to cancel your membership over the phone or online. I have to drive an hour and a half away to cancel it.

They have to many rules in place you can’t bring a guest after 9 (we came at 8 and still wouldn’t let him in) you cant get any of the belts after 9 you can’t make changes to your membership after 9 and on top of that they charge you 70 dollars for the first month saying it’s an annual fee if I could I would put less then a star

Curly head Spanish dude at the front desk is horrible thinks he runs the place I pay for guess pass and apparently I can’t bring a guest in after 9 what if I worked a full day shift until 9pm your telling me I pay for something that I can’t get the guy that works at front desk that has curly hair super short with big as shirts is super rude and un polite he only smiles when a girl walks by and always wants to have a conversation with them please fire him id gladly take his position tell him to grow up I know it may be yall rules for the guest pass stuff but thats a horrible deal I will now cancel my membership because of this and go somewhere else and then him being super rude and acting super egotistical is the worst part about it all

I loved the ambiance of this place. Came in for a visit on Monday to take tour. The guy was nice and explained a lot, so I thought. I specifically asked about the guest pass. He told me my husband can be my guest but my daughter would have to get a separate pass. I was good with that. Fast forward to Wednesday my husband and I show up to work out at about 8:50pm. And were told that he couldn't workout by the same guy who gave us the tour. So after a long day at work we go home get the kids settled and drive all the way back to the gym only to not be able to workout. Waste of time. No apology, just someone should've told you. Sir, you were the one who didn't tell us.
Really bummed because I thought Amped would be our gym home.

The machines are good, everything’s fairly calm. They’ll chase you down and speak loud enough for the whole gym to know that you missed a payment. Instead of privately pulling you to the side to kindly let you know that your payment didn’t go through. I forgot to update my card on file, it happens. No need to be dramatic.

This gym is bad the front disk always ask for id and it’s so annoying and Mill, Zion is very rude to me please guys don’t go to this gym it’s horrible because Zion and mill will kick you out they have bad behavior it’s very disgusting also they sound a lot of mean things to people sometimes when you don’t listen to them and both of them are not nice they banned one of my friends that goes there they don’t also answer for service when you call them on the weekends they are not 24 hour gym also guys Mill say that he will call the police for Not showing id to him

I’m giving a one star because as a first time guest I was kind of hoping and expecting to get hit with that “wow factor” and honestly….i was unfortunately disappointed now this is not to talk down to the gym by any means but to bring to light some areas of opportunities. For example I know they say they have sanitation wipes but you have to go looking for it and I personally believe it would be way more efficient to have more corners and pillars of the gym with spray bottles with sanitizer and paper towels to make it easier for clients also the cardio equipment is a bit outdated and stiff it just doesn’t feel good to run on and also I believe it would be in the best interest of the club to be more attentive to the cleanliness of the bathrooms as it smells like urine all over the place and please place some filters for the water fountain it tastes horrible you can taste the metal in it. Once again I was not impressed it just feels very outdated for a brand new gym

I picked up my child from their “childcare” after a workout. I notice my child had pooped themselves (no big deal). However they had excrement up their back and through their T-shirt. My child must of been like this for a while because during cleanup the poop wasn’t warm.

I wrote a lengthy email explaining my concerns. No one got back to me and I don’t trust their childcare any longer. I don’t recommend anyone using their childcare unless their kid is over the age of 10 years old.

In the past, the former childcare worker (Ms Laura) would alert members if their child possibly smelled like or had some sort of bowel movement. She did a great job of paying attention to the kids in childcare.

I don’t feel safe, leaving my child under Amp’s Childcare supervisor.

I strongly advise against signing up for Amped Fitness Altamonte Springs, especially for personal training services. My experience has been nothing short of deceptive, frustrating, and an ongoing battle to cancel a contract that was misrepresented from the start.

When I initially signed up, I was pressured into a misleading personal training agreement by a salesperson named Jonathan. I was explicitly told that I was signing up for a one-time, no-commitment personal training session—only to later discover that I was enrolled in a recurring contract without my consent.

Since September 2024, I have been charged $90 per month for personal training sessions that were never scheduled, never provided, and never even discussed after the initial sign-up. My assigned trainer, Brandon, never once reached out, and the gym never made any effort to deliver the services I was being charged for.

What’s worse is that when I formally disputed the charges on December 27, 2024, I was given empty promises from management that they would “look into it.” It has now been two months, and despite multiple follow-ups—including directly speaking with their regional manager, who promised a resolution within two days—I have received no response, no refund, and no resolution.

At this point, I have had to formally demand contract cancellation and a refund for services never received, and I will be escalating this matter to the Florida Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division, the FTC, and my credit card company. The fact that Amped Fitness continues to ignore disputes, refuses to acknowledge their deceptive practices, and refuses to provide services they charge for speaks volumes about their unethical business model.

🚨 Beware before signing ANYTHING with this gym. 🚨 Their sales tactics are pushy, misleading, and designed to lock you into a contract without clear disclosure. If you ever have an issue, expect them to ignore you indefinitely while continuing to bill you.

Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere—there are plenty of gyms that don’t rely on dishonest sales tactics and contract traps to make money.

I wish I could give NO stars to this club. They charged me for 3 months in one day. They wrote on the cancellation notice a different day so they can say that is out of the 30 day period and so charge for cancellation another month. This is a rip off!!! DO NOT GO THERE! Read the find print and do not be misled. Also, they wanted to provide me coaching. Gave me the assesment and, because I didn't signed up, they stopped me as I was leaving the gym to charge me $10 for the assesment. They will drain every penny from you. Be warned!

Nice gym, but.....My girlfriend and I cancelled our memberships, in person, due to relocation out of state. Hers was cancelled, mine was not. I had no idea for 11 months until their billing agency chased me down using a number flagged as potential spam.

1st call: Front desk was able to "cancel" my membership over the phone. It did not cancel.

2nd call (1 month later): Shane, the manager, said I had to come in, or send a letter of cancellation in the mail, to which I did. Shane provided me the address, and a week later, my letter was sent back to me by USPS for undeliverable address.

3rd call: The general manager was allegedly able to cancel my membership over the phone.

I never received a cancellation notice. I really hope my membership is cancelled.

I’ve been going to AMP Fitness for the past two months and couldn’t be happier with my experience.
