Gym is great but have to come after hours. Black Cleaning lady takes her job too serious moving my belongings, mopping dam near my shoes getting closer to me every single time wile I’m trying to workout is very annoying. She is the only one that does this every other cleaner respects peoples personal space. I find myself stopping my workout and just waiting till she’s done every time around the hours of 4-7pm

I’ve been a loyal Amped Fitness member for over two years and have had great experiences at several other locations, but the Apopka branch is an absolute embarrassment to the brand. I had an experience with the young man at the front desk that was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. His attitude toward members does not reflect the standard of service I’ve come to expect from Amped Fitness.
Management isn’t any better. Issues go unresolved for weeks, communication is nonexistent, and the overall attitude is dismissive and unprofessional. It’s honestly shocking how far below the company standard this location operates.
Amped Fitness used to be a place I’d recommend to everyone, but this location is a total letdown. Until they overhaul their staff and management, I’ll be taking my membership, and money, elsewhere.

I usually go to this gym because it’s supposed to be open 24 hours, but I’ve been having issues with the app, and no one has been able to solve it. (24sep)Tonight, I went at 10:35 PM and there was a young man at the front desk. I asked him for help, showed him my app, and explained the situation, but instead of assisting me or using the barcode, he refused to let me in. His attitude was unhelpful and disappointing. For a gym that advertises 24-hour access, this is unacceptable. I hope management addresses this and provides proper assistance for members experiencing technical problems.besides that I love the gym

She also helped me get over my gym anxiety and even recommended amazing supplements that also helped. Love the facility and amenities, but they have a sketchy front desk with a tremendous lack of professionalism. Over the past couple months I have requested to not be contacted by personal trainers trying to schedule me for a training session. 3 trainers, over two months... I have requested no marketing or sales contact when I originally started, but this request has not been honored. Called this morning, they told me they couldn't help and that it was a "back office" thing that they couldn't change and that they didn't have the contact information for them and than they hung up, called a couple more times and when they picked up they immediately hung up before I could speak. Went to the gym to speak with them in person and the people at the front desk stated the same thing to me and blew me off, while adding a notation to my member profile. Asked to speak with a manager, they stated that they were in a meeting, sat down and waited for 3 minutes, they called me to the desk and spectacularly one of the front desk workers became the manager, I gave a confused look, and she became immediately combatative and challenged me about it as though I were racist or sexist... Not a great experience for an otherwise great gym.

i’ve been going to amped for sometime but i’m thinking about switching. they screwed me over my payment is a basic membership 14.99 i’ve been charged 16.04 i can’t understand why. with late fees it would be 29.99 so it doesn’t add up. they’re clearly just trying to get money i love amped but management is poor they try to threaten it’s going to ruin your credit when you don’t even give them the credentials for it to do so, scare tactics it’s pretty frustrating but at this rate i’m about to get a crunch membership which happens to be closer i drive out of the way for amped because i like it but they just want money and i can’t deal with that

If I could give this location is zero stars I would. Since crunch bought 24 hour fitness it’s been nothing but beat and switch and unprofessionalism from their staff. I called Alex ‘the manager’. I tried to inquiry about an out of cycle fee of $66 and free for looking up my account. He got defensive and told me it was an annual fee though I had joined two months ago for zero annual fee.. And another occasion, he was very rude and Abrasive. The facilities constantly under construction With multiple tripping hazards. Their frequent times where there are no cleaning wipes, and the trash is overflowing. Not sure what type of training employees are given, but definitely it is not in customer service and problem resolution. I read I rarely write reviews, but crunch fitness really needs to do a better job or close down completely Until they are safe to open to the general public in Apopka and have trained staff

Love the atmosphere here I’ve been coming since they opened. The employees are cool and are willing to answer any questions you may have about a workout or equipment. Kione is my fav employee/ Trainer. He saw me doing an exercise incorrectly and politely gave me a pointer that helped me tremendously and in the long run will prevent injury. It was much appreciated. The amenities are chefs kiss and I take advantage of them. Steam sauna, sauna with red light therapy, cold plunge massage chair and some others. It so convenient of it being in the gym vs having to pay more money to go somewhere else. It’s rarely crouded, everything is clean updated and in working condition. Forgot your headphones no problem the playlist is always tolerable lol. Almost forgot to mention the Babe Cave, if your a woman and your just not in the mood to be around too many people, men, bloated, some workout insecurities whatever the reason then that’s your spot.

As a single mom Amped Fitness was the best option I could take, they allow me to be a mom and take care of my health at the same tme, in their Kids club my son can play safe and have fun while I take some time for myself... DO NOT DO PR HERE. They’re a scam and I promise you, you can do it without them. They’ve been charging me since May for a training contract I completed and training I’m not currently receiving. Manager states “I understand your frustration but there’s no way for us to take it off.”

Was just in the area and had been thinking about joining a gym. My typical go to was Planet Fitness. I met Lisa at the front desk. She made me feel right at home and comfortable. I’m a beginner and It’s been years since I was at the gym. I was blown away with the red light therapy, the Hydro massage recovery room healing at the cellular level, etc. Plus loved a special section for women to workout in if you don’t wanna be in the main gym. There are no contracts and there was no pressure. The prices are about the same as etc Planet Fitness. I paid an extra few dollars for access to the massage chairs, recovery room, etc. . That’s cheap weekly massage massages are not. Also, very aesthetically pleasing. & clean.

Today I had an experience at Amped Fitness that I’ll never forget. I was bench pressing and the weight ended up being too heavy — I lost control and it could’ve gone really bad. Thankfully, trainer Hudson was right there and jumped in without hesitation. He saved me from what could’ve been a serious injury.

Hudson showed incredible awareness, professionalism, and genuine care. He didn’t just do his job — he went above and beyond to make sure I was safe. That moment really showed me the type of person and trainer he is.

I’m extremely grateful for Hudson and can’t recommend him enough. If you’re at Amped Fitness, know you’re in good hands with him.

I am extremely disappointed with Amped Fitness in Apopka.
My husband signed up for personal training sessions and was told by his trainer that the contract is a three month contract that does not auto-renew.
August 2025 rolls around and we are charged $276 after we were under the assumption that the deal would end in July 2025.
Turns out you have to tell the front desk that you want to end the contract and it DOES in fact auto-renew.
This entire thing is very misleading and now we are stuck paying another two months of personal training ($552).
Manny the manager, told my husband that "this happens all the time." If it happens all the time, why did the trainer give my husband bad information? Why do you wait until your customers make the mistake and then tell them about the fine print in the contract? When its too late?
This is bad business, period.
Manny the manager told me one thing on the phone, and my husband another. When I tried to call him back, he dodged my calls.
After reading the reviews I see that other people have had a similar experience when it comes to the personal training contracts.

Decent enough gym, not many choices in the area. My main issue is the "camio" camera system. They ding your credit card if they catch you letting other people in after-hours, call it "tailgating". I go to the gym at 5am and I am always alone BUT I get emails constantly saying I have been caught "tailgating" at which point I have to email the club and claim a "false positive". Today I was actually dinged on the way in and on the way out. If I had another option, I'd leave this gym for this reason alone. It's something that as a member, I should not have to deal with.

Great gym as far as commercial gyms go. The atmosphere is nice, great variety of accessory machines and the gym is clean. Just wish the squat rack area had better bars with good knurling for grip. The bars are so slippy and the knurling is a must for those who lift heavy weights for squats/deadlifts.

I have been a member since January and doing PT with Sierra. She has been amazing! She’s been instrumental in helping me reach my fitness goals - I’ve lost over 30 pounds and increased my lean body mass! So far I do like the vibes of the gym: black and neon blue/purple colors, lots of machine options, the "Babe Cave", red light sauna, and the athletic corner with punching bags. Other amenities I eventually look forward to are the hydromassage and cryo.

In terms of payments, they do offer a Veteran's discount. My only gripe is I signed up in person and they should have told me that I would have to pay an annual fee of $50 on the second month because I was ultimately surprised when I had a $78 charge on my bank account when it should have been around only $23 with my discount.

I only kept it because I'm pregnant and with these hot summer months, I'd rather have the option of being able to walk indoors. Otherwise, I might have canceled due to being misled.

Apart from that, the employees are friendly, but please tell your customers about this annual fee!

Guy that works here with a white SUV Kia Sorrento 2024 or 2025 almost hit me in the parking lot and he works here has a shirt that he works here. Very scary around midnight while I was leaving the gym walking to my car. He almost hit me trying to get into a parking spot and he was driving crazy Arguing with someone on the phone. Such a great environment truthfully. The best part is the women’s private gym and the saunas. And being the only 24 hour gym in the west orlando area. Jonathan was super kind. I really didn't think it was necessary to look up reviews for a gym but, I see now that I truly have to do my research on everything.

Where do I begin.

Let's start with personal training. As many MANY reviews say here- do NOT do the personal training- it is a complete SCAM. First, they will say very obscure things like "we can get you where you need in 3 months" or "just try it out for 3 months." Just know you have NO choice because once you sign up it is for a 3-month CONTRACT. Although I ended up brushing it off my shoulders, and faithfully making payment, I did mention this to the manager Jonathan who completely denied that his verbiage was sneaky and misleading. I stated "I know you have a job to do and this is sales" and he stated "it is not sales" yet I know firsthand they have quotas to meet so... it is... sales.

Anyway, as I stated, since I signed the contract, I fulfilled my 3 months and worked with my trainer and after the 3 months, sure enough- I was charged again. I was never made aware by jonathan that if you do not seek to cancel the contract it defaults into a month to month. Another way that they "catch" you for your $$. I informed Jonathan that he should be up front about this at the signing of the contract (that he is also not up front about) and he blew it off as he brushed his beard, like the true professional general manager he is.

Okay so now, we're at the part where I have officially cancelled. Signed, sealed, delivered. Right? Wrong! This morning I woke up to another $257 charge from amped for training, AFTER signing to cancel two weeks ago. I have emailed Marissa Earley, the district manager however, judging by the people I've already encountered, I doubt she will write back. I will be disputing the charge with my bank, finishing up the sessions that I have to finish, cancelling my membership and going elsewhere.

It can also be said that there are more signs to clean the machines than actual cleaning supplies for the machines (everything is always out). The weights are always all over the place. The girls bathrooms have been gross and overall, the $500 A MONTH that I was paying for training there, was hardly worth it. The daycare staff is amazing and has always been awesome with my kiddos.

Do yourself a favor, and dont do it.

When you invest in a personal trainer, you expect a personalized and supportive experience. Unfortunately, my daughter’s experience with Sierra was disappointing. Despite being out of the gym for months, she was immediately pushed into heavy weight training, which raises serious concerns about safety and injury prevention. Additionally, Sierra insisted she stretch before each session — a challenge given my daughter commutes from Orlando to Apopka and often arrives just in time.

What made the experience even more uncomfortable was Sierra mentioning she’s competing with another trainer for clients. This made my daughter feel like just another number, rather than a valued client. She also felt that the sessions lacked guidance and connection — Sierra would often give instructions and then walk away without much interaction or support.

There was no effort to build rapport or understand her fitness level or goals. As a result, my daughter has decided to switch to a different gym where her boyfriend trains, based on his much more positive experience.

Good for beginners and intermediate level athletes, all the equipment is new and already feels broken in, only thing I will say is it’s not to good for powerlifting because they only have one kind of barbell and they kinda roll in your hand when trying to deadlift, also the bar is thin so not the best for squaring either, other then that it’s a great gym

The whole staff is a joke and I left feeling terrible. I had an issue and tried communicating with the staff to resolve my problem. I explained my situation and why it took me a while to realize why I never caught the mistake earlier and she looked me in the face and blamed it on the fact that I was postpartum and had “baby brain”. I ended up leaving because at that point there was nothing else to talk about. I’ve been proactive about trying to resolve my issue and got nowhere…. It was almost as if she was going out of her way to disagree with me instead of resolving the issue. I ended up calling their third party customer service line that’s provided in the contract. Which is funny because when I told her I had been in contact with them before she admitted to not knowing they had a customer service line. The gym is convenient because it’s close to my home, but the staff could use a course on basic customer service and it’s never worth the disrespect. Being a decent person doesn’t require the same amount of effort they put into being rude. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go to crunch fitness or the altamonte springs location.
