Best gym in orlando! The facilities are always immaculately clean and the staff are friendly and attentive. The vibes of the gym create an aesthetic environment that makes working out enjoyable too. I have been working with one of the trainers, Dylan, for 2 months and it has been very impactful in my fitness journey thus far. He is able to organize my workouts for me in the Amped Fitness app and is able to set/ track nutrition goals for me directly there too. I have seen progress towards my fitness goals both numerically and physically since working with him. Highly recommend to anyone considering a gym home in the Orlando area!

To begin, John McClure is an incredible trainer, and I do not wish for this review to at all reflect his skills. He was constantly attentive, and he pushed me to consistently achieve excellent workouts.
ELEVEN DAYS AGO, I informed the GM that I had been double-charged for my monthly membership. He confirmed the error, and said this charge would be reversed, but I still HAVE NOT received my refund. THE FOLLOWING MORNING, my account was deducted an additional $168 (my card was charged the previous day for the same amount) for personal training, effectively erasing most of my paycheck within 24 hours of my receiving it. My partner couldn’t receive SNAP benefits due to the Gov’t Shutdown, and when I told the GM that I needed a refund in order to FEED OUR SON, he seemed bored as he told me the computer had charged it automatically, and it was up to his boss to refund if he felt like it (he never did; must not have felt like it). Either the GM neglected to tell his boss I couldn’t afford the second personal training charge AND groceries, or his boss knew and just didn’t care, but I don’t know which is worse. Regardless of whatever agreement allows the computer to automatically charge for overdue payments every day, I was shocked by the complete lack of compassion demonstrated by everyone with any power whatsoever.
This gym will NOT hold up their end of the bargain with your membership (I couldn’t even unlock the door for weeks, despite repeated calls to the front desk: none of them could reinstate my access), but they WILL take every cent you owe them without a hint of remorse (and about four-thousand cents you DON’T owe them, sometimes).

Great gym! Honestly no complaints and always have a great lift here. Out of the other amped gyms in the area this might be my favorite because it’s never too packed. The sauna wasn’t working for a week or so and they fixed it as soon as they could so they seem like they’re always on top of it and super friendly staff seriously!

Wow. That’s all I have to say. I spoke to the front desk manager (I think his name was Juan?) and he answered all of my questions thoroughly and made the membership process extremely easy. The general manager Fred greeted me today when I came to workout as well as the rest of the front desk staff. 10/10 gym. Highly recommend.

Trusted Amped to employ good, honest people. Unfortunately their trainer Enni stole product from me and has owed me money for 6 weeks now. Amped has done nothing to hold her accountable for the theft that occurred inside their Casselberry location and I’m still owed for what she has kept and avoided. This makes me feel very unsafe to be inside their location since they’re seemingly fine with thieves working for them. Would not recommend Enni as a trainer or Amped as a gym

Coach John is a great trainer. The best trainer that I’ve had. Very focused on making sure his clients reach the highest level of success. It’s been almost a month and I already see progress. I’ve been following his custom diet plan which has played a big part as well. I trust all advice that comes from him. The staff at Amped Casselberry is unmatched I feel welcome every time. I just want to take a moment to recognize the amazing team at this location. Fred, the manager, is absolutely wonderful. He’s patient, knowledgeable, and always takes the time to explain things clearly. If you’re ever unsure about something, he’ll go over it again until you feel confident.

My trainer, Matt, is phenomenal. He really knows how to challenge you while keeping workouts fun and motivating. I’ve made great progress thanks to his guidance and encouragement.

Used to love working out here when the old front desk manger RJ ran it, he brought a life to the place and cared about how it was kept and the front desk was always friendly. Now with new management, my fiancée and I 95% of the time are never greeted otw in or told have a good day otw out. Weights and attachments are strung out all over the gym I never see the staff picking them up and organizing. I saw the 100lb dumbbells sit on the complete opposite side of the gym from the rack for a week untouched. It just isn’t the same and it’s unfortunate being it’s barely been open a year.

I moved and could no longer use any of the amped locations conveniently. I called in September to cancel and was told I’d have to do it in person. When I visited the Altamonte Springs location in October to cancel I was told I’d still be charged for October because my payment was set for within 15 days of the date, and because I’d be charged for October, they would also be charging me the annual fee for the year that I would not use their facilities and it could not be waived. Incredibly deceptive business practice from the inability to cancel over the phone all the way to the annual fee.

When I asked to speak with a regional manager about this policy, understanding that it wasn’t not the manager’s fault, I was told they were not allowed to provide their supervisor’s contact information but that they would forward my message on to them. Just another example of poor customer service.

Let’s start with the good. I really enjoyed the amenities that are here. I love that It’s open 24 hours and I usually get a pretty good workout at any of the locations. The staff is usually pretty nice too and I don’t really have many issues except one big deal breaker… The biggest issue I’ve had is that they have been siphoning an extra membership fee from my account so they’ve been double charging me every month and I started noticing this last month and had a refund accredited back to my account so I let it go but then they did it again which makes me understand that they’ve probably been doing this for months Taking an extra $32 a month from my account and sadly that’s outright theft. So moving forward I would be very careful to manage your banking account and make sure they are not overcharging you and/or charging you twice. They would usually charge me automatic payment on the day of that it was due and then someone would manually charge me again a day or two later Whoever is doing this has unfortunately put a bad light on this company for me so I no longer will be using amped fitness because I’m unsure if it’s a personal attack or just plane corruption. Sucks really loved the concept and aesthetic here.

Buyer Beware – Poor Business Practices

I signed up at Amped Fitness Casselberry and when I tried to cancel, I was told the only way was to come in person or send a certified letter. Nowhere on their website or in the signup process is this stated. This feels like an intentional barrier to trap members into paying for services they no longer want.

Bad business decision, bad practice, and very disappointing customer service. I’ve forwarded my experience to the Florida Attorney General’s Office, the BBB, and the FTC.

If you’re considering joining, be cautious and understand what you may be dealing with when it comes time to cancel.
