‼️ The gym is constantly hot inside, and there’s basically no ventilation. The air feels heavy and stale, and it becomes uncomfortable within minutes of working out and the environment poses a potential risk for heat-related health issues.

The gym management has been informed multiple times, but nothing has been corrected.

The temperature is always too high, and nothing seems to be done about it. This place seriously needs proper cooling and airflow.

I cancelled my Amped Fitness membership in late July after moving out of Florida. I followed all proper procedures, including submitting a cancellation request and receiving both an in-person and email confirmation from Amped Fitness acknowledging my cancellation. Despite this, I have continued to be charged monthly through November. They even increased my charge this past month.

Each time I call, staff acknowledge that my membership should be cancelled but either place me on extended hold or disconnect the call. My repeated attempts to speak with a manager have been unsuccessful. The ongoing charges are unauthorized, and the customer service I’ve received has been unprofessional and unhelpful.

I will ensure to let every person I know to not use this gym when I come back to FL next week. “Call at 5 pm when a manager arrives” is what I received today. How hard is it to cancel a gym membership?

I do not recommend this gym to anyone. I canceled my Personal Training membership in September, paid my last month, and gave proper notice — yet they keep charging me every single month.

I’ve gone in person several times, tried speaking with the managers (who are never available), and no one ever solves anything. I’ve requested a refund multiple times, and now I’m even in a dispute with my bank because of how poorly this has been handled.

They have terrible management and don’t respect cancellations. They just keep charging, charging, and charging. Absolutely do not recommend this gym.

This gym is the most annoying inconvenient gym I’ve ever been to in my life. The trainers are horrible and they make it nearly impossible to cancel your membership, always needing to see a manager and the managers are never available. They still charged my card 2 months after canceling and when notified they only tried to credit me for one month. However I do like the equipment but management is all over the place all the time. The reviews that say don’t sign up for personal training with this gym please listen to them. Yes I was inconsistent but just in few months of signing up I had 4 personal trainers 2 of them quit. And they don’t let you know until you say something then they look for a new trainer for you. I finally canceled I paid that ridiculous fee even though I had a lot of missing sessions (not all of them being my fault) and of course the manager did nothing about that. I canceled my personal training in February and still being charged till this day. And of course to get any help you have to book an appointment with the training manager which is so stupid to me. They send you a letter saying you cancelled but yet still charge you. This place sucks.

While the trainers and personal are very friendly, this gym is fairly predatory. I signed up with a trainer for three months and told them from the start that I would be cancelling the training after that time. I have, to date signed a contract cancelling my membership (in person) and cancelling my training sessions (in person) but for some reason was still charged for a training session while I was out of the country travelling for work almost 3 weeks later!!! While I am definitely disputing these charges, I want all their future clientele to be aware that they will make you jump through 100 hoops to cancel or change services but will not respect the signed agreeement.

I’ve been a member here for three weeks and overall I really enjoy Amped Fitness. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and the people here create a great environment. The equipment is solid and I’ve been able to get good workouts in.

That said, I’m disappointed in the sauna. It doesn’t get hot enough and loses almost all of its heat any time someone comes in or out. The sauna is a very important part of my workout and recovery routine, and unfortunately it hasn’t lived up to expectations. I’ve also noticed that almost everyone I talk to in the sauna feels the same way.

If improvements are made to the sauna, I’d be happy to come back and give a much higher rating, because everything else about the gym has been a positive experience.

New issue: they have a hand dryer that’s been broken for several months. Everyone has complained. They won’t fix it. It’s weird how it’s a decent gym but also so ghetto at the same time.

They still have some AC issues as others have stated. Not as bad as before. Buy more fans at least!

Updating a previous review so I can keep the metadata for suit. Place tried to extort me to buy into another training membership after their facility's lack of professionalism caused a contract breach. GM would only let me out of the contract they breached if I signed up for a new contract. This is extortion & duress. When I refused the GM barked “woman” at me to try & regain control of the conversation as he grew increasingly aggitated by my refusal to enter into a new contract. As well, at no point during anyone’s professional career should one yell “woman” at someone to try and regain control of the conversation, that's an abuse of a GM’s authority. It is disrespectful, and when I spoke to the district manager about this her excuse was “he's a married man” as if that changes anything.

His anger at me knowing what financial extortion is and manipulatuve sales tactics are, or that using the term “woman” in that context was meant to silence me, all were poor displays of leadership. That is not how one should act towards any guest. When I told him not to address me that way, he turned it into a political conversation about gender and started to make assumptions. When this conversation was about the gyms error. The gym breached the contract, NOT ME, & then the GM sought to intimidate & insult me. The GM trying to force me into a new contract under duress, & belittling me when I was knowledgeable of my rights is vile behavior. Absolutely, disgusting. I planned to keep my regular gym membership with them, but after dealing with the GM’s overt sexism and lack of customer service, I am cancelled. Well actually, he did without my consent so I charged back the last few months of services to my credit card as the services were not rendered, and canceled by him being petty.
The gym breached the contract by overcharging me not once, not twice, not three times, not four times, but on FIVE occasions the gym overcharged me which is a breach as it violated the terms of our agreement. This was the sequence of events that caused issues with our training agreement. I never stopped my membership or payment on my VIP monthly membership, nor was I late on a payment. The club had my payment info the entire time, and I worked out in the club without issue numerous times since the breach. To be treated like this after AMPED breached the contract and tried to make me enter into a new one under duress, & the GM proceeded to use pejorative language towards me when I declined to enter into a new contract is a clear violation of FL’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act & Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Attached is a photo of the my trainer acknowledging the cancellation (from months ago) the GM said never occurred. The previous GM said I canceled and here is textual evidence that will hold up in court. I have a consultation with a personal injury lawyer tomorrow, & will be requesting a copy of our contract once I dispute the debt with the collection agency. The gym blocked my access to the app. This place is an actual scam with actual con artists running their business.

Edit: The response is a giant lie and you can see lies in the response. I'm assuming you kept the camera footage of the GM’s behavior since you were put on notice of this issue day of. After I reviewed the state laws and the prior conversations, they breached and canceled the contract on their own. Even after their GM cancelled my monthly membership UNILATERALLY they were calling me to pay my monthly dues. This all started when your GM wouldn't let me come in because of the Personal Training contract and refused to let me use the gym. To which when I met with the district manager she confirmed he unilaterally cancelled my regular membership. Me and my partner went there today (Sunday August 10 2025) to initiate the 3 days trial since we both are interested on sign up a membership.

We arrived at 4:01, wait on for two minutes on line and spoke at the front desk with a young boy with blonde hair and he refuse to allow us to do the free trial bcs he couldn’t let any trials in after 4pm

I not sure if im overthinking but if we had came in 2/3 min earlier we could go in? We were potential costumers and that really demotivated us to go back again.
