$15/month is a pretty sweet deal, but there's seemingly no reason to pay it. gym has no employees present after like 9pm. it's typically not busy then either, so I don't really care if kids get a free workout.

I’ve been at the gym for about a month and a half now I still have a membership, the reason I got my membership was to be able to take my partner with me. I went to the gym with her and per usual no one is ever at the front desk and the gym doors are always closed. I walked in and I received an email about tailgating. A 50 dollar fine is what you will receive if someone walks in behind you when using the security door. You would think someone would give you that information when you sign up but I guess not. When I enrolled I told the person who did it I was only choosing the membership to bring a guest. There was a sign at the front that says and I quote… “NOTICE NO!! GUEST AFTER 8PM NO EXCEPTIONS.” Every time I come in there’s almost never anyone at the front desk and I never come to the gym later then 5pm and i definitely leave at 6:30 the latest. If I am paying for the highest membership for the guest why can’t I bring a guest without receiving a fine. How is it my fault no staff is ever there to receive my guest for the allotted time that I’m paying for. At this point I’m practically going there to see if someone just so happens to be there just so I can be able to bring a guest because the times people are supposed to be there no one is. I can’t even use the massage machines cause you require an employee to be there for you to use them and they are never there. I responded with a long email but I still haven’t received an email back and I don’t know if I should cancel my membership because I like the feel of the equipment. But the customer connection is poor and you definitely won’t get what you are paying for unless it’s the lowest membership plan just come by yourself use the equipment and go home if of course the equipment is not out of order. I could go on and on about the leaks in the ceiling, the unsanitary exercise mats that smell like sweaty feet, and the lack of staff to make sure weights are re-racked for use but I won’t even get into that part. I love simplicity but unless you want these headaches ask a lot of questions before you sign up.

I went into Amped fitness to pay my past due membership and I was met by "manager" Katro who started a conversation what I thought was true concern and care became an exploitation of my kindness. I ended up signing up for personal training in which I was under the impression would be $45 then ! ended up paying $432 for this service. Within 24 hours I realized that I don't need the service. I called I asked, I begged to be removed from this program requesting a full refund and they told me a refund wasn't possible. Never in my life have I ever ever requested a refund on a service I didn't receive to be denied. I am reviewed the contract and it states within 3 days I can request refund. I requested refund the first day, second and the third day and they insisted a refund cannot be processed. I requested a dispute with my banks and today they denied the dispute stating that I would need to resolve issue with merchant. This is pure wickedness, I don’t want the service, I request a refund the same day and $432 is a lot of money I can’t afford to lose. This experience has given me more stress I was just going to pay my membership to relieve!!!! I am requesting a full refund, and they are giving me an hard time!!! I need my money back this is wickedness. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst energy 😔

I have been reaching out to cancel my membership since August by phone call & through many emails. They don’t respond and if they do, it’s the same bullshit you must come in person or send certified mail. They won’t even look into my scenario. I told them I moved out of the country and cannot send certified mail or come in. Over instagram DM they stated “Unfortunately as stated when signing up those are the only two options.“
Florida law does not require certified or verified mail for a member to cancel a health-studio contract.
Specifically, under Florida Statute § 559.3904, “nothing… shall be construed to require that a member’s cancellation notice be sent by certified mail in order to effect a cancellation.”
Because I cannot reasonably appear in person or access U.S. certified mail services from abroad, this written notice constitutes a valid, effective cancellation under Florida law and general contract principles prohibiting unreasonable barriers to cancellation.

If I could rate this gym negative stars I would.
Apart from the fact that the gym has no AC, bathrooms are dirty and stink, and it’s always packed, I had the WORST customer service experience I’ve ever had.
I came in with concerns about my membership and was met by the manager on shift with attitude and unwillingness to help. She proceeded to tell me there was nothing she could do to help me and that I would need to email (which they never answer btw) or come back another time when there’s a higher up available (are you not a manager?). I understand if she was unable to help me due to restrictions in her position but regardless I felt unwelcomed and disrespected from the minute I walked in to express my issue. Will NEVER come back to this gym

10/19/25 UPDATE : there is a reason this gym has been thru 4 GMs in less than a years time. it’s because they are trash. My personal training was canceled 2 months ago but they continue to charge me. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM ! do not be fooled by the spamming of “good” reviews that ironically mention the same people back to back. Their only goal is figuring out how much money they can take
*******In the span of 6 months i have had 4 different trainers due to issues on their behalf. This is the WORST gym experience i have ever had and they refuse to be fair and cancel my training membership. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR PERSONAL TRAINING !! YOU WILL REGRET IT !

I signed up for this gym through an online offer that advertised a membership for under $20 a month. However, after providing my account information, I was unexpectedly charged nearly $100 for enrollment and around $200 twice a month for personal training. I only met with the trainer once or twice before they quit.
I stopped attending due to a meniscus injury and informed the gym, but they continued to make multiple charges to my account. Later, they even attempted to collect money through a collection agency for services I didn’t receive.
This experience has been very disappointing. The billing practices were unclear and unreliable, and I would advise others to review all terms carefully before signing up or sharing payment information.

I’ve been coming for 1.5years and it’s excellent!
Plenty of space, plenty of machines, dumbbells, the turf is great, vip section for recovery, coaches available to level up your progress (Blake is the best)
They offer various activities throughout the year, including boot camps and select classes.
The restroom is a little small compared to the size of the gym, but they do a good job of keeping it clean!

This establishment deserves no stars. Gym is never clean, rags for cleaning equipment are always soaked or missing, there are constant leaks from the ceiling, and it takes them forever to fix broken equipment. The worst part of my experience with them by far has been since canceling my membership. I cancelled my membership for person training in January of this year 2025, and yet they have continued to steal money out of my account for a cancelled service, till this day— service that I never received. Not one employee or manager has been able to assist me with this issue—they even hung up on me mid phone call. No corporate number either. Complete lack of professionalism and integrity. Please look elsewhere for your fitness needs as this place is surely lacking on all fronts. They need to be reported to the better business bureau.

This place is a joke. Customer service is atrocious!!! I canceled my membership and personal training in January of 2025 and they are still charging me for my personal training even though I don’t have a membership…. I call and have talked to multiple team members and no one seems to have an answer or solution. I’m over $1,000 in charges to a service I haven’t used. And now they seem to think the solution to my problem is to pass it on to someone else and hang up on me. I vow to NEVER step foot into another AMPED FITNESS and I will tell everyone about this so they don’t get scammed out of money like I did.

I haven’t worked out in a long time. My doctor encouraged me to join a gym, and I live very close to Amped Fitness in Plantation. I was hesitant because I’m a little older, but I actually went and was so impressed! A lady named Jessica helped me by making me feel so comfortable. She showed me around the gym, she took the time to answer all of my questions. I am now working out on a regular basis, thanks to Jessica and her encouragement, and knowledge most of all! That lady knows her stuff! When you go, ask for Jessica!!! I highly recommend Amped Fitness in Plantation! 🚶♀️🏃♀️💪

This gym relies on outdated and deceptive practices to keep charging people longer than necessary. When I emailed about canceling, they told me I had to mail a physical letter.. so I did, immediately. Two weeks later, with no confirmation, I called and was told something completely different: that I would have to come in person to cancel, even though I’ve already moved out of town. Now they’re telling me I’ll still be charged for an additional month, despite providing proper notice. It’s clear their cancellation process is designed to make things unnecessarily difficult and to squeeze extra money out of people.
On top of that, the facility itself is poorly maintained. Equipment was often out of place, the gym was consistently dusty, and the so-called 24-hour security system was unreliable. I personally knew of multiple instances where non-members were able to sneak in outside of staffed hours.
Between the dishonest billing practices and the lack of upkeep, I cannot recommend this gym to anyone. There are far better, more transparent, and well-run facilities out there.

This has the potential to be a great gym. However, after the staff leaves it is a free for all. More none members are in the gym than paying members, which is not fair. I know several people who have complained to management but yet nothing happens. They did hire a guy a while back to work the front desk and that helped a lot. Not sure what happened. I also personally know of people who have canceled their membership so they can go for free and avoid the annual fee. If you read a lot of the complaints, this is one of the biggest. Yet, they fail to address the problem.
Update: I canceled my membership and now just go for free after 9. I made several attempts to speak to them and email them. They just ignored me, so thanks for the free community membership.

Amped is a decent gym, a nice step up from planet fitness or similar, but this location absolutely sucks because they’re 24 hours but unstaffed after 9pm and have zero enforcement for non-membership entry.
I’m only able to go to the gym at the end of my busy day of work and school and this gym is packed at night because of countless people entering without a membership.
I’m cancelling my membership tomorrow for this reason and trying another gym.

Disappointing experience, visited this location to get some information for Noone was available at the front desk to assist. Waited 5 minutes before someone that works there was leaving, realized I was waiting and stop to try and help, but couldn't cause didn't know the answer since they dont work at the front desk, manager was also not there. Wevpage states there is group fitness classes and one thing worker was able to tell me was that there isn't any. Needles to say they lost a customer for lack of personal to assist.

The gym atmosphere is not for everyone — the music is mostly aggressive gangster rap and feels more like a ghetto vibe than a fitness environment. It made workout uncomfortable.

Amped is disgustingly money grabbing, tried to sign up online at first then they said to come in and complete signing up the account , went in no one was there and wasn’t let in the club. Tried calling multiple times to get a manager to schedule a time to come in or cancel the membership kept getting a dial tone. Now I get a invoice charge or over a $100 for the annual fee without even being able to use the facility or finish signing up my account and when I finally get in contact with someone a month later they can do nothing about it and only can cancel after I pay or it will go to collections.

The front desk staff at this location AMAZED me. For it being a gym, I had low expectations for what the staff might be like, but after coming in for my first time and being greeted as soon I walked through the door I knew there was something special about this staff. Kaitlyn who works front desk made sure to answer all my questions and take me through the sign up process thoroughly. One of the most frustrating gyms to work out at . Half of the cardio machines straight up don’t work or are broken in some odd way . Goes the same for the weight machines and they’re never fixed . The k my saving grace is the weights and atmosphere really annoying for things to be always broken and not even attempted at fixing I’ve been going here a year and only one bike works now and none of the previous ones have been fixed so there’s about 6 non functional bikes sitting there . Will definitely be moving gyms soon
Edit update : 3 weeks later even more cardio machines down at least more than 10 it sucks because the staff and weight section is perfect but not being able to utilize nearly 1/3 of a section of the gym is a bummer

The gym is 24 hours and I love that fact! But there's a problem, there's a lot of people entering the gym without membership, I know, cause they're waiting at the door for someone to enter or exit to make their entrance... This situation causes different things, for example, machines occupied at times they're not supposed to, people without membership tend to not take care of the facility, breaking machines, bad use of sauna, I love to use the sauna but is always closed after 8 or 9pm because people don't use it properly... It's just sad and disappointing that people don't take care of things. Please hire someone for the night shift to avoid people to enter without membership.

Absolute WORST LOCATION! They REFUSE to fix the air conditioning. They have NO AC in their ‘Babe Cave’. The AC in the general area of the gym is HOT! They won’t lower it because if they do, it’ll freeze. This is SUMMER TIME! How is this ok? I guess they’re waiting to get sued over heat stroke incident. The customer service is bad at this gym and the machine is always broken. The general manager and district manager is very disrespectful and does not value their customer. It doesn’t make sense to pay for a gym membership because people come in for free overnight with their friends. The gym is always smelly and hot. How do you have a gym with no AC circulation?. They charge me twice in one month and didn’t know how to explain it. They told me I need to redo my contract agreement with them. They do not pay attention to the kids and the kids zone. You can literally walk in and walk out with your child and no one says anything to you. Let’s not get started with the Pembroke Pines location just save yourself the headache. If you’re looking for an affordable commercial gym, LA fitness and crunch is your best bet.

Cleaning crew sprays strong chemicals right next to the people actively working out, and the staff at the front desk ignored multiple complaints. It’s horrible and so dangerous. I don’t know how the health department allows them to do that. And all those young kids working out there being poisoned probably have no idea. I’m deeply concerned about the health and safety standards at this gym. During a recent workout, the cleaning crew began spraying chemical cleaners directly onto the mirrors right in front of us while we were still working out. The fumes were overwhelming and impossible to avoid, making it difficult to breathe and causing immediate discomfort.
We approached the front desk not once, but three times, to raise our concerns. Each time, our feedback was either dismissed or met with indifference. This level of disregard is unacceptable, especially in a facility that promotes health and wellness.
We come here to take care of our bodies, not to be exposed to harmful chemicals. The long-term effects of repeated exposure to cleaning agents like these are not something to be taken lightly. It’s alarming that the staff would allow this kind of exposure without any consideration for members' well-being.
This is more than a minor inconvenience—it’s a serious health risk. I hope management takes this issue seriously moving forward, because members deserve a safe, respectful, and truly health-conscious environment.

I’m not understanding how y'all aren’t at the gym after a certain hour but ya’ll are monitoring who is coming in with our membership we pay for. Worry about how filthy y'all upkeep is at this location. Y'all are worried about the wrong things when the women’s locker room is a pig stye but the men’s smell like bleach when you walk by. Also, the sauna is broken with yellow tape like a crime scene., The audacity to want to act VIP when it’s giving CHE-AP. VIP Prices but they VIP areas are open freely for anyone but they worried about guests coming in. Canceling immediately! RUN!

I have made multiple attempts to cancel my membership with AMP Fitness, both directly with the local facility and through their parent company, due to my official assignment to Singapore. While the parent company expressed no objection to closing the account, the local facility has consistently refused to process the cancellation. Call records and supporting documentation are available to verify these efforts. As such, I do not intend to pay the outstanding balance and will formally dispute any related charges should they appear on my credit report.

I really loved coming here but this gym has really been poorly maintained. The vertical leg press sticks and needs to be greased. The sitting horizontal leg press machine seat does not adjust. The tiles in the dance room are all shifted. Weights are all over the place in the gym and I do not see anyone walking around cleaning machines.

Wish I could give it zero stars. It was super pack for a Wednesday at noon. The equipment is terrible. It’s like a starter gym worse than planet fitness so if you’re a serious lifter or bodybuilder this is not the place for you.

Im really disappointed that the sauna is blocked off at 9 PM. As someone who works long shifts, often 13-14 hours, it's my only chance to unwind and relax after a grueling day. The gym is my sanctuary, and not being able to use the sauna defeats the purpose of my visit. if you’re gonna take the sauna away, are you going to lower the cost of the membership? I don’t think so, but yet you are cutting off privileges and access to amenities that some people can’t drawing your working hours it’s not fair for the ones who come to the gym after ur work hours only to find, everything is locked up. I am CANCELLING ASAP.!!

Just started this gym. Staff is always nice, and I like the fact that this gym is open 24/7.
With that said, this place is always messy. Weights are always everywhere (we can partially blame the members for not putting their weights back, but I'd expect for staff to help out with this issue if they notice it's an ongoing thing), especially on the weekends and nights, on numerous occasions the sanitation wipes are completely empty too, so you have to walk around to look for another station to get wipes from.

Upper management you guys need to tighten things up this is ridiculous. It's dirty as well the mirrors are all smeared and nasty but I can live with that. The machines no. Do better man.

This gym is just ok, it’s very aesthetically pleasing and spacious, so it never feels too cramped except during peak hours. The equipment is great, and you can definitely get a good workout in here.
However, there are a bit more negatives. Several cable machines are consistently out of order, equipment like dumbbells and EZ bars are left anywhere but where they are supposed to be. Staff don’t seem to prioritize keeping things organized, and cleanliness is also an issue as you’ll regularly spot empty cans, used disinfectant wipes, and even small puddles on the floor.
The men’s bathroom is consistently unclean and smells bad. Customer service is another problem. Slow replies to emails, and they don’t answer calls even during listed office hours. I’m currently trying to cancel my membership, and it’s been annoyingly slow. Possibly due to understaffing, but still frustrating.
If not for poor service, I would’ve rated it 3 stars.

Every time I go to the gym as my husband’s guest (he has a VIP pass), they make me sign in like it’s my first time and even ask for my ID. I don’t understand why they don’t have a faster system for frequent guests. It’s frustrating and makes the experience uncomfortable from the moment you walk in.

the doors were locked when i came today at 2pm and this nice young lady opened the doors. she had a long line and looked extremely stressed. she was the only one working and there were no managers to be found. she had to keep stepping out from the desk to open the doors to other guests, even while attending customers. i don’t understand why management would leave someone who has not completed training by themselves.

I'm going to start with the positives. Amped Plantation is a great looking gym. It has ample equipment, designated stations and its 24hrs. It is close to my house, a supermarket and the price is definitely right. It's new and has a good mix clientele. Love the babe cave and class room upstairs. Perfect for yoga and other classes.
Now for the negatives. Even though Amped Plantation is new, it's maintained poorly. The bathrooms are ALWAYS dirty and poorly stocked. The floor in the sauna is disgusting. The staff are friendly enough (depending on who you get) but for the most part don't seem to care. Rarely do I see an employee re-racking weight plates. And let me tell you, plates and various equipment are EVERYWHERE! Even on the open floor, it is constantly full of equipment and they aren't being used. Even after training sessions, the trainers don't bother to put their own equipment back. Finally, I complained to someone (Mica) at the desk. I asked to speak to a manager and she said they were not available and she was the only one there. She looked really young and inexperienced. She was very nice and told me she would pass the info along. I was there over an hour after speaking to her and I left with the equipment in the same spot as I found them.... EVERYWHERE.
The gym works for me and my pocket but this Amped is definitely a place that you get what you pay for. I remember at one point I told an employee there was a spill. He was unfazed and kept doing what he was doing. The cleanliness is a major issue. Really needs to be addressed.

Membership is way too expensive for the inconveniences. I pay for a membership with guest privileges but the guest must come before 7 PM? That’s weird. I brought my mom to workout with me and she had to wait in the car because it was 7:46 and they wouldn’t let her in as my guest. Nonetheless, that guest rule was not stated when I signed up. The average person works 9-5 that’s not even convenient.
Secondly, the cleanliness of this gym is not prioritized. The bathrooms/locker rooms should be spotless. Instead I find dirt, hair, etc on the ground. One day I watched a male attendant set up to clean when I was done with my workout the bathroom floors looked the exact same. Also there was no sign stating that a male staff member was present in the bathroom. The setup they have to wipe down machines aren’t efficient either. After going through covid there should be a wipe container in WAY more areas than there are.
Lastly….for the LIFE of me…there should be absolutely no reason why y’all treadmills aren’t constantly down or skipping while in use with the price of y'all memberships! One day I just left because every treadmill I got on hesitated to start and then when it did start it kept skipping almost causing me to trip. Or if it didn’t skip, whenever I tried to up the speed it lagged then sped up and then shut off saying “system failure” or whatever error message it gives.

I came in tonight for a workout, and while I applaud you guys for FINALLY adding sanitation stations and getting rid of those reusable unhygienic rags, now it’s time to DO BETTER. No wonder I didn’t see them at first—they’re tucked away in corners and spread out in the most inconvenient places with no signs!
I had to literally count them because I felt like I was playing I Spy just to find one. And even worse? I barely see anyone cleaning the machines because the stations aren’t visible.
Let’s break it down:
• Upstairs? Only one.
• Downstairs? Maybe four (if there are more, they’re basically invisible).
• By the stairs? None.
• By the massage machines - None.
Here’s a simple fix: Put them in CENTRAL LOCATIONS where people can actually see them—like on the center pillars. And for the love of cleanliness, ADD BRIGHT, BIG SIGNS!
I hate to be that member, but honestly, I don’t know if the gym manager is new or just inexperienced with running a gym. Trust me, members will appreciate this and actually be more motivated to clean the machines.

I haven’t had any issues myself but how do they actually “monitor” who lets people in. I normally have my app open walking to the door and sometimes even when I closed the app, it will still open the door and people will legit just walk in, it’s not me letting them in, especially intentionally. So if I ever get one of those ridiculous emails I be hearing about I’m definitely not w it. If you’re going to have rules like that, have someone actually monitoring the desk/door like there use to be.

Good because it is 24 hours. The cons I have are the equipment for 5 machines has been down and there seems to be no timeline for it being fixed. I’ve asked management and nobody knows. In a crowded gym, cable pulldowns are popular as everyone wants to use them. The gym also isn’t as clean as I would like as there aren’t a lot of wipes or disinfectant sprays like there used to be.

I had the same issue with them as I sow on the comment below. Me and my husband had a personal trainer and all was fine, until she (personal trainer) had a family emergency, and she stopped showed up, they rescheduled us few times, but again trainer never showed up, so we paid for a month of the service that we never received. We end up canceling personal trainer and membership because we bought a house in West Plam. After 6 months we receive a notice from debt collectors saying we own them $600 for personal trainer so they were continued to charging us even after we moved and canceled everything. They gave me the same receipt with $0 balance, but it means nothing, they still harassing us for money. I called the gym many times but manager would NOT talk to me to resolved it.

Compare to other Gym that I attended, it small. Locker rooms are small. the Gym can use more equipment. My other problem with tis Gym is I cancelled my membership in December 2024 along with the personal trainer. They are still billing me every month for the trainer. I call numerous times there is never a manager available to handle this issue. I even showed up after work (6pm) there were still no manager available and I am consisting told only a manager can handle my issue. All I want is to have them stop billing my credit card and refund two months which total $180.00. Also they were very pushy about having a Trainer.

It’s an ok gym with a few catches.
Cleanliness is well.. terrible. This starts with the members of course who seem to have terrible etiquette at this location - but is allowed by staff. There is no proper cleaning solution for equipment, weights aren’t re-racked, trash and spills are ignored. I left YouFit to come here and the cleanliness difference is astounding.
If you want to come early (and by early I mean a normal time for a gym to be open - just not this one) you have to upgrade your membership to access the door. OR you can stay a basic or non-member and just wait for someone to come in or leave. With no staff there are tons of people here in “unstaffed hours” using the gym; making it busier than it should be.
So in the end - you could save yourself the $20~ a month and just camp the door during unstaffed hours.
*Update* 2/26/25
They’ve now added a sign on the after hours member door threatening to cancel your membership if someone follows you in. So as a company, they are looking for YOU to police the door, and possibly get into an altercation on their premises with people trying to gain access. Instead of staffing at a regular time for gyms to operate, they rather put this burden on their customers.

I came to the gym thinking I was finally going to get work done since I've been ceditary most of my life. Honestly I even tried getting a trainer but they told me since I didn't come more often it wouldn't be worth it, meaning I didn't get it because I also became really embarrassed for not coming more often. Which led me to not come anymore for a month or two, then I started coming everyday because I realized I had guest privileges since I had the VIP package. So I used it, and brought a friend with me, it was in my package. So I didn't think there was a problem. Eventually they terminated my account because apparently it was against guidelines to have a guest along with me. Even though it wasn't in the guidelines. This gym crushed all my hopes for all gyms.

One company in particular that contacted me was "manpower staffing" a local company in plantation Florida. So if you do decide to go with them just know your info is being sold.

If you are going to get a membership don’t do it with this location. First there was an attempt to charge my card 3 times with an annual charge, the first went through, the second I received a refund and the third my bank denied it. Since then, I keep receiving calls and texts stating there is something wrong with my account, I first went physically to this location and spoke with a team member and she updated it (It was never updated) I called and spoke to a manager (never updated) now I’m speaking to a general manager, Ashley and she advised at first that I was missing a annual fee!! Then after I corrected her she stated I am missing a payment for last month. Honestly, a gym membership should not be giving this many issues to their guests. Now, with no resolution I am trying to call back to get an answer from Ashley (GM), and all my calls are going to voicemail. At this point I want my account to be transferred to the Fort Lauderdale location, my wife has never had any issues with them and they where the ones to actually help me when this whole mess started.

Great gym and great equipment but poor management. They did a great job the first month it was open but now it’s a mess. The spray bottles are always wet and nasty and never replaced. The mirrors have handprints and sweat all over them and they never get cleaned. They do nothing to police the weights. The crowd is young and lazy and leave weights everywhere. Worst group of gym goers I’ve ever seen. The tanning rooms and bathers are now gross. I cancelled after two months.
Edit they are also scammers. My wife cancelled her membership in person and received a copy of the notice. After we moved for military orders they continued to charge her card. We called and said it didn’t matter if we had a copy of the cancellation that we needed to come back in person. Obviously that wasn’t going to happen as we now lived over 300 miles away. We put a fraud notice on our credit card after sending of them a copy of the cancellation and they were blocked from making additional charges. We now just received a notice of debt collection. I’ve called them numerous times and have received no assistance. The attorneys agreed they had no reason to continue to charge us.

The gym itself is great! It's open 24/7, which I can say is more than most gyms in this location.
There are a variety of machines, weights, deadlift spots, etc. The cards and app they provide is also great to make access to the building easy.
My biggest issue would be the male staff and their general treatment of you if you're not a girl. They're very dismissive from my experience besides the manager.
Also, theres a weird lack of staff past 9pm due to their policy. Without staff they use an automated software to determine if someone snuck into the building with you. The issue is specifically is that the automated software gets it wrong most of the time and threatens you with a $50 fine that you have to attempt to dispute
The gym is usually popular but that comes with the downsides of people taking full on photos and videos for their social media right next to you with a professional camera or camera-man. As a normal gym goer it can sometimes be uncomfortable to be around that. But it's usually harmless and somewhat rare
I also would say that the bathroom is not always well cleaned. It's usually dirty in terms of toilets

I recently relocated out of state and called amped fitness plantation almost three weeks ago to cancel my membership. At the time, I spoke with an employee who informed me that the manager wasn’t available but assured me that they would notify the manager to cancel my membership. Unfortunately, as of today, November 24th, I am still being charged for a membership I haven’t used since moving.
This morning, I called again after noticing another charge on my account. The young woman I spoke with was polite and took my name and number, explaining that the manager would be in around 5 PM. I called back around 5:42 PM, only to be met with a dismissive response when I asked to speak with the manager the person on the phone asked me, “For what?” which came off as unprofessional. As someone who works in customer service, I found this attitude inappropriate and frustrating. Although the same young woman eventually assisted me, I was never able to speak with a manager. Additionally, I was told that the charges on my account couldn’t be refunded, despite my earlier request to cancel the membership weeks ago. This situation has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional, especially given the circumstances. I expected better communication and resolution from this establishment.

Beautiful gym but their personal training is very unorganized. I would be paying for sessions without getting rescheduled with trainers because people kept quitting. I would call and ask to set up an appointment and be told I would get a call back and never would. I recently started working out at this gym, and while I really like the facility overall, I have a major concern about hygiene. The fact that reusable towels are provided for everyone to clean the machines is honestly quite disgusting. These towels are used by multiple people to wipe off sweat, including sweat from all areas of the body, and it feels unhygienic to reuse them throughout the day.
I strongly believe it would be much more sanitary if paper towels were provided instead, like many other gyms do. This concern isn’t limited to just this location but seems to be an issue at all your facilities. I’ve also heard other gym members mention how unsanitary they find this practice. While I understand the gym may clean these towels daily, when you go in the morning or during peak hours around 5 PM, the towels are disgustingly dirty and far from fresh.
I hope management will take this feedback into consideration and switch to a more hygienic option for the comfort and health of all members.

First things first! I have had memberships in at least a dozen or more gyms throughout the years. I can finally say, I have found my forever gym! From the minute you walk in the door, you are greeted warmly by the front desk peeps, who are all very friendly and acknowledge you. Then, the other personnel (trainers, staff), are super helpful and friendly. I’d like to specifically call out Dustin, Sana, and Blake, for always going the extra mile for their clients in a very positive environment. Also, Nick and Chesney do such a great job keeping the gym clean and organized. And the fellow gym goers are also very friendly. I look forward to coming here EVERY DAY!

I recently had a frustrating experience at Amped Fitness that I feel compelled to share. While I generally enjoy the gym and its facilities, the behavior of the fitness lady manager has been quite concerning.
During my workout, I was using a rack that already had weights on it, and I noticed another member waiting for the machine. Out of courtesy, I decided to leave the weights on the rack for her use after I finished my set. However, after I completed my set, the manager chased me down the stairs, insisting that I needed to go back upstairs and re-rack my weights, despite the fact that the other member was already using the machine.
I explained to her that I really needed to go to the bathroom, which is why I couldn’t re-rack the weights immediately. Instead of understanding, she insisted that I couldn't leave to use the bathroom until I re-racked my weights and even threatened to charge me $50 for not doing so. This was not only unreasonable but also quite humiliating in front of other members.
After the incident, I spoke with the member who had been waiting, and she was genuinely embarrassed by the manager's behavior. It’s disheartening to see a manager create such animosity and tension in what should be a supportive and encouraging environment.
In conclusion, while I appreciate the gym and its offerings, the manager's approach is not conducive to a positive experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as it could greatly improve the atmosphere at Amped Fitness.

I was minding my own business on the assisted squat rack set up in the ladies-only room(I pay extra $15 a month for), focusing on my workout. In the middle of my set, a personal trainer came over and abruptly told me to get off the rack, stating that it was for personal training only. I felt incredibly humiliated as I had to stop my workout and leave the machine. There was no sign indicating that the rack was reserved for personal trainers, and the trainer's attitude was very rude and curt. It was an uncomfortable experience, and I wish there had been clearer communication about the equipment usage.

I’m so disappointed with the reviews but I’m so happy I came to see other people point a view. I went to the Plantation Location on a Friday evening and it was very packed. The kids club was closed, there isn’t enough equipment, Sauna was tiny, the women cave was lacking equipment as well. I’m happy I came to the reviews because while the manager was giving me a tour we went to the zumba room which I was able to really realize there was something wrong with the a/c because it was ridiculously hot! I wasn’t working out and I was only in the room for a few seconds and I immediately asked why is it so hot? The manager said oh wow in here is usually cold that is weird and just proceed the tour. Lastly the no napkins to wipe down the machine is insane and unsanitary. And please keep in mind this is my first time here and to experience all of this on my first impression is disappointing. They are thieves! I attempted to cancel my personal training membership due to some unforeseen circumstances and GM Kristin told me that I won't be getting charged after I payed the cancellation fee (which was more than double the amount). I just checked my statement and they still keep billing me. Corporate will be notified.
Update: Please DO NOT sign up for the personal training they offer. It's a complete scam. It costs $220 for initiation and they charge like 200 a month and on top of that if you wan to cancel it they charge $350. It's disappointing how gyms can be slimy.

I recently visited Amped Plantation with two members and one guest who had recently lost her ID. Despite her having a copy of the ID, we were informed by the manager that a physical copy was required.
While I understand the importance of adhering to policies, I felt that the customer service aspect was severely lacking during our interaction. When we asked if an exception could be made given the circumstances, we were told we needed to speak with the general manager.
To my surprise, the General Manager Luis approached us in a manner that was rude and condescending. His first comment was that if we were unhappy with the policies, he would cancel our memberships immediately. This response was shocking, as it did not allow us to express our concerns or engage in a constructive conversation.
I want to emphasize that I really like this gym—the setup and facilities are great. However, it is unfortunate that the staff's demeanor did not reflect the quality of the gym itself. While I am not canceling my membership as advised by Luis, I have decided not to return to this location due to the experience.
I believe in valuing customer relationships and understanding their needs, rather than being dismissive. It is disheartening to think that Amped Fitness would risk losing three member over a situation that could have been resolved with better communication. That should not have been the go to resolution.
I hope they take this feedback seriously, as I believe in the importance of good customer service and open dialogue.

Went here for 6 months. Facility is great, staff ruins it like crazy. If you plan on bringing a guest, don’t plan on going here. I paid for a plan that allows guest pass, and manager made up a rule trying to push a membership onto my guest. Do not go here if you want to bring a friend.
