I joined and got a personal trainer and my trainer changed 2 times from my original trainer in 3 months. I never even got to use all my personal training sessions because I was told by my second to last trainer that I had 6 left and when I got my new trainer he told me I had 2 left. From what I’ve seen they are very money hungry because I also paid for an extra training session I wasn’t even aware of. I cancelled my membership

They scammed me multiple times. Two months after cancelling they charged me 75 dollars. They said to wait until after the weekend to talk to the manager Rey to see about a refund. Lets see how that goes. Rey has promised me plenty of things in this gym and never delivered. I don't know if he is a liar or if he's just doing his job in a terrible company. I just want my money back. Pro tip: if youre ganna cancel a membership from here, go to your bank and cancel your card so they cant rob you like they did me.

Cada día las reglas son mas estúpidas con el fin de robar a los clientes. Resulta ser que si tu tienes un pase de un día o un miembro te va a entrar con su membresía te exigen el la licencia de conducción pero no aceptan ningún otro tipo de id como la residencia y son super tajantes e intransigentes con esa regla, sin embargo si abres tu membresía en ese mismo momento no hace falta usar id. Amped Fitness – Three Lakes Branch Review
I signed up for a 3-month agreement (PERSONAL TRAINING) with Amped Fitness and paid $168 every 15 days, always on time. After successfully completing my 3-month term, I spoke with the manager at the Three Lakes branch, only to be told that I would still need to pay two additional $168 payments just to cancel.
The real problem is that no one advised me of this policy when I joined. I later learned that Amped Fitness is supposed to notify members 2–3 weeks before the end of the agreement about renewal or cancellation options, but I never received any notice.
It feels like Amped Fitness’ business model is to attract people with very low-cost promos (like $0.06 or $1 to start) but then recover that money with expensive cancellation fees or by sending customers to collections if they don’t pay. In the end, the customer loses.
This is a disappointing, short-sighted business strategy, great for short-term profits, but it damages trust and risks losing customers in the long run.

I got charged for a late fee plus the monthly membership, which I’m confused about because my bill is on autopay and it’s the first time I’ve ever gotten a late fee and it shouldn’t have happened. I asked to speak to a manager, and he told me he’ll be requesting a refund. I returned about 4-5 days later and asked for an update. Another manager came and told me that they’ll just deduct the late fee amount from the next bill. When I asked about the refund request that was initially told to me, he sort of disregarded it and kept saying they’ll just deduct the amount the following month. Which is fine, but that made it seem like the refund request wasn’t even made😕. I’ve been working out for like two years, SOME(not all) of the workers are kinda weird especially the second manager I spoke to, people have always had issues with him especially with how rude he can be, I never cared enough to write a review because…idk I just don’t care to do all that. But yeah.

My niece has been under nothing but stress dealing with Amped. She canceled her plan back in June, paid the $430 cancellation fee, and should have been done with it. Yet in August, they started charging her again for the same PT plan she canceled. Even worse, the charges keep adding up because they’re billing her for something she doesn’t even owe. She’s been emailing and calling, and no one responds or gives her real help.
This is completely unprofessional and unfair. Customers should not have to fight this hard to get a company to honor a cancellation, especially after paying such a steep fee. The lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable. If you’re considering signing up here, think twice the stress and hassle are not worth it. The stress she’s going through is uncalled for. Pick up your phones! And respond to the emails AMPED!!!!!

Terrible experience with this gym. I was told I could cancel my personal training sessions at any time, but that was a complete lie. The trainer never even bothered to send me a workout routine, even after I reminded them several times. When I went to cancel, they refused and said it wasn’t possible, which is the opposite of what I was promised. This place is dishonest and unprofessional. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually respects their clients

Nice new gym that's much friendlier and more welcoming than Crunch Cutler Bay. Completely different vibe, kinda a unique nightclub feel. Dim lights, lots of screens, music bumpin'. Equipment looked new with plenty of weights to go around also unlike Crunch. At a glance the crowd looked diverse but mostly younger, all fitness levels it seemed. I didn't seem to notice as many 'roiders as Crunch either which is probably a good thing too. Nice place!

The employee Patricia in the kids club is mean to my daughter with autism. She is 5 years old and still dumps toys on the floor. Apparently Patricia can’t handle picking up small toys and kicked us out 10 mins into the day. I was furious. Not to mention a few weeks ago, she called her a brat. How a non verbal five year old can even be a brat is beyond me. She’s the farthest thing from that and how dare an employee even say that to a mother? I’m coming back tomorrow when i’m calmer to cancel my membership. And i’d advise any parents to avoid coming here especially if their toddlers act like toddlers.

Machines needs tweaking, cables need to be tightened, the staff is pretty useless, they just let oen guy yell his lungs out and I lift more than he does and never yell, they don't pick up anything, they let people just hang around in big groups around the already small walk ways, the bathrooms are disgusting, old man that cleans them just pushes a rag around, don't actually see any cleaning products being used during peak hours.
Ladies, none of the male trainers wash their hands after using the bathroom, just a heads up; none that I've seen and I've been here a few months now.

They are scammers. The front desk staff is completely unhelpful. I was supposed to pay for my gym membership before the 4th to avoid being charged extra. I called, but no one answered because it was the weekend. I went in person and they refused to help me. Their assistance was inefficient and rude.
My Amped app has been broken for a while
I’ve told them several times and no one has helped me. Now they’ve added a bunch of fines, and it honestly seems like the staff is intentionally not doing their job.

This gym has been a complete waste of money and time. I signed up for a three-month personal training contract, thinking payments would stop after that period. Instead, I was charged an extra $200 to cancel — all because my trainer failed to inform me of the cancellation process.
Even worse, after I paid that extra month just to cancel properly, they still didn’t cancel my membership and accidentally charged me for another two weeks. I’ve spent over two months trying to get refunded with no success. I do have a receipt showing they issued the refund, but the money never hit my account.
On top of all this, my trainer had terrible time management and communication, causing me to waste time going back and forth to the gym for rescheduled or missed sessions. I saw no progress, no results, and walked away feeling completely scammed. Avoid this place at all costs.

I don't usually take the time to write a negative review but my experience wasn’t the best. I went in person to cancel my membership and the guy said it was done that I was going to receive and email with the confirmation in 5 minutes. An hour went by so I called the gym to ask why I hadn’t received confirmation of my cancellation. Same thing… another employee tells me it’s good and I should receive the email soon. Next morning, I had to call again and membership was finally cancelled.

Best gym I been too. I had bad experience with previous gyms.. This gym all the staff is extremely welcoming and help me out so much with questions I have. The trainer Edley was extremely friendly as well and answered all my questions when it came to my health and is really motivational when it comes to working out making you want to keep pushing your self to get healthy and stronger I honestly recommend coming to this gym for a judge free and friendly experience

5 Stars – My Go-To Gym Since Day One!
I’ve been coming to Amped Fitness in Three Lakes since they opened over two years ago, and it’s hands down a 5-star gym. The facility is always clean Raudel and the staff does an excellent job staying on top of everything, especially the bathrooms. I often see them wiping things down and making sure weights are re-racked where they belong.
The black and blue color scheme is a nice touch it creates a focused, no distraction environment that’s perfect for getting in a solid workout. Plus, having access to showers and a sauna is a huge bonus.
If you’re looking for a clean, well-managed gym with everything you need, Amped Fitness is it. Highly recommend!

Absolutely horrible gym with even worst sales tactics and horrendous employees. Everything is a mess and the management is horrendous. I tried 2 separate times to cancel my membership and I couldn’t and the personal training is horrible. I signed up with a worker and I explained my goals and I never saw him after I signed up and every time I went it in it was a different worker because they had quit or weren’t working. When you want to find someone in charge they all look at you confused and can’t point out who’s in charge. There’s like 3 different managers and they’re all in their 20’s and don’t care about anything you have to say. Like I said I’ve tried twice to cancel my membership. The first time apparently there was no manager there so no one could help me and the second time they flat out told me they canceled it and I got charged again the month after. Absolutely horrible gym with even worst employees. You’re better off going down the road and paying the difference at LA fitness.

I really LOVE this gym, but unfortunately the staff/maintenance is terrible. Everytime I try to use the restroom to change for work between 7:50-8:50am they shut down the restroom completely just for them to end up doing a poor job in cleaning everything. I was yelled at by 2 men and 1 woman in the FEMALE bathroom because I wasn't allowed to be in there while they cleaned. I pay to use ALL the services of the gym and like most gyms, they will allow you to use the restroom even if there's someone in there cleaning. Besides that, A/C is always broken in certain areas of the gym, no one re-racks the weights, machines are already falling apart (gym opened in 2023) and my friend and I have gotten sick several times from that gym specifically... which means they do a poor job sanitizing the machines or even cleaning the gym properly. Customer service is terrible and I have not been able to contact a manager since August.
EDIT: I have since then, canceled my membership and I have debt collectors asking for payment when I had already canceled my membership. They are hungry for the few $10 they collect from everyone. Stay away from this gym.

My experience at Amped has been great and that’s largely thanks to my personal trainer, Brandon. I’ve been training with him for almost a year now and since the beginning, Brandon has been attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly motivating. I highly recommend him to anyone starting new at the gym and is looking for a trainer. He took the time to understand my goals, my limits, and my lifestyle, and then used that to plan work outs that keep me challenged and that have provided results both physically and mentally.

The scamming on the purchases for the trainers or the fact that I stopped going and they still charging me for the membership after I canceled? Or the fact that after I canceled they decide to say I purchased another 6 sessions with a trainer? And I owe 3k? When I asked for proof they send me my contract that was done in march and the date is may 1? When I haven’t stepped foot in the gym since April? This place is a joke. If ur card is on file be ready to be paying for a bunch of stuff u never agreed to. I try to contact them and they only put me through with the GM, I want to speak to someone higher than him. If I could give a ZERO star I would. I don't even know where to start.
If I could give this gym zero stars, I would. My experience has been overwhelmingly negative and reflects a complete lack of transparency, professionalism, and customer care.
I initially signed up online specifically for access to the women’s-only section. When I visited the facility in person to complete the membership paperwork, a staff member, Ava, gave me a tour and walked me through the sign-up process. At that point, the discussion turned to personal training (PT). I expressed confusion regarding the terms and made it clear I was not interested in committing to PT at that time. Despite this, I was asked to sign additional documents—under the impression that they were part of the general sign-up process. I was then informed I had to pay $200 for PT services. I explicitly stated I could not afford that and was reassured it would be canceled and that I did not need to take any further action.
However, I was later charged $200. Upon contacting the gym, I was told I needed to come in person to resolve the issue with the general manager. As a full-time employee and full-time nursing student, this was highly inconvenient, but I rearranged my schedule and took time off work to address the matter.
When I arrived, I was initially ignored and then finally directed to the general manager Luis, who treated me in a dismissive and unprofessional manner. He insisted that I had signed a binding PT contract and there was nothing he could do, despite my explanation that I was misled and unaware of what I had signed that same day. I received a copy of the signed document after the interaction, not before.
To "resolve" the issue, I was downgraded to a lower-priced PT plan at $86 biweekly—an agreement I felt forced into due to the financial burden this situation placed me in.
Two weeks later, the initial $200 charge remains unresolved. I’ve been told only the regional manager can authorize the cancellation, yet I’ve also been informed that he has been on PTO for two weeks. In the meantime, the gym revoked my access due to “overdue payment.” When I explained my situation again and asked for my access to be reinstated (as I rely on early morning visits), I was told nothing could be done until the cancellation was approved.
This gym has demonstrated a clear lack of accountability, transparency, and customer support. I strongly advise others to avoid this facility and explore the many better-managed alternatives in the area that as well worth the financial investment. This site is not one of them.

Called at 8:18pm to especifically ask about a day pass and make sure I could go in at that time, was told on the phone that before 9pm I could go in. Got there before 9 and was told NO by the staff and they didn’t care I showed I called beforehand.

I’ve been coming to this gym for a couple of months now and I’ve had such a great experience bringing my daughter in the kid center. One of the care talkers, Eliana, has particularly stood out to me because of her professional attitude and care towards my girl. Whenever I am working out I feel comfortable leaving my kid knowing she is in good and safe hands. Thank you Amped for hiring kind people to watch over the kiddos!

Do not leave your kids in the childcare! The older lady that works there is terrible I had been going to this gym since the day it opened and thanks to her yesterday I canceled my membership. She acts like a child herself there is no communication between the staff and the parents and when you try to put in a complaint about an incident your told you can’t so they rather suspend your child from going there instead of addressing the problem what me my 7 year old and my 11 year old niece said was completely thrown out the window and since us complaining is not what they want to deal with they suspended them from the child care without even a conversation i tried to reach out to corporate and was never called back Idalmis is the person that is there the most and the one I've had several arguments with I go there for an hour everyday it should be that hard for someone to watch a kid for an hour they definitely need to hire professionals to handle kids and parents correctly she should loose her job and not be allowed to take care of children because she is not good at it

Crooked business, DO NOT get a membership here. They will have you sign a membership agreement saying “an email will suffice as written notification of intent to cancel membership” and then change the membership agreement without notification, and then attempt to charge you hundreds of dollars for unpaid dues, and send a debt collector after you… even when I canceled the membership pursuant to the original membership agreement I signed.

I Called to cancel my membership and was informed I had to come in. As I arrived and asked to cancel the employee Josh told me I would still be charged for the following month since it was within my 30 day period and it was company policy. I asked for a manager and he told me it doesn't matter if I speak to a manager that it was company policy. While speaking to Josh there was a young woman that I'm assuming works there sipping her monster energy drink Rudely jumping into the conversation and giving me attitude when all I wanted as to cancel my membership. A manager ended up coming to the desk and cancelling my membership and telling me I won't be charged. So thank you to him for resolving the issue. But the worst part is as a l walked out this young woman started to bad mouth me and saying disrespectful comments. I told her that was unprofessional and rude and as an employee she shouldn't treat customers that way. The kids working There are extremely rude, don't waste your money or time at this gym.

I would give this gym zero stars if I could. Their membership cancellation process is a complete scam. When I signed up, they never mentioned how impossible it would be to cancel. I was told I had to cancel in person, which was already inconvenient since I don’t live close.
The first time I went, after driving 40 minutes, I was told there was no manager available, and conveniently, their computers were “not working,” so they couldn’t cancel my membership. No alternative solution, just a waste of my time. I asked for a manager, and guess what? No manager on the floor.
I went a second time, thinking I could finally get this resolved, and again, no manager was there. This time, they told me I had to come back in the morning. Why should I have to keep coming back just to cancel a membership?
Meanwhile, they keep charging my account, including extra charges, even though I haven’t used the gym in weeks. This is completely unethical and feels like a scam to trap people into paying indefinitely. If you’re thinking about joining this gym, DON’T. Find one that respects its customers instead of making cancellation impossible.

.Horrible lower management I've been member for years since they first opened I walked in one time into the womens room for 1 second to grab some weights because the women take the weights from the rack inside the gym and take them insde the womens room & then they don't put them back neither does the staff which most of time their on their personal phone doing aboutslety nothing instead of actually working or reracking the weights & then they canceled my memenership for going into.the womens room one time for a second that's not right at all.
I've been in the gym countless times when the A\C has broken the waterfountain was also not working the bathroom wasn't working & I still didn't cancel my membership to join UFC ,EOS, LA Fitness & this is how they treat their loyal memebers by canceling my membership over something so ridiculous

A fire extinguisher explodes, the reason is unknown and the staff decides to close the gym.
It was 11:50!! There were quite a few people. They take us all out for some reason, I guess for safety, but it had already been 10 minutes since the explosion. There are people who can only train at that time, like me. You can't play with people's time!!! They should have maintenance for that kind of thing to avoid this kind of thing.

Nice damn gym at first. god forbid you had to cancel your membership or lose your card, customer service sucked. Do not cancel online or via the phone. They will definitely keep charging nothing !! just billing under your name and info and send it to collection No call no damn email nothing. You’ll just find out a year later when you owe a mandatory $200+ + fees and a collection firm is calling you. This was terrible
