Since my daughter joined Angel's Gymnastics, she has made significant gains, her confidence level has greatly increased, and she has been able to master fundamental skills that have allowed her to accomplish her goals! The coaches have been extremely helpful, supportive, and knowledgeable. They motivate my daughter to do her best while ensuring her safety. My daughter loves Gymnastics and she truly enjoys going to Angels!

We are big fans of Angels Gymnastics. Our daughter has progressed so much faster than she did at her previous gym. The coaches are great, and inspire her to do her best. During her time at Angels she has become more focused, disciplined, confident, and is even doing much better in school.

My 8 year-old autistic daughter absolutely loves her private lessons at Angels! After watching her older sister participate, she was so excited to join! The staff, the owner and all the coaches are incredibly welcoming, supportive, engaging and absolutely meet my girl where she’s at. As a mother of a child with special needs, I can’t tell you what it means to see my daughter engaging with others, laughing and just having a fabulous time while learning new skills! I know my daughter would struggle in the bigger class setting right now so these private lessons are perfect for her! We are so grateful! It’s a happy and safe space. My girl can just be herself and that’s a beautiful thing!

As a former competitive gymnast myself , I have high expectations when finding the perfect gym for my young daughter to compete in. Fortunately, our journey led us to Angels gymnastics , where our daughter became the youngest member of their competitive team at 6 years old. Angels exudes an atmosphere of dedication, passion, and excellence. The staff and coaches are not only highly skilled professionals & former gymnasts but they’re mentors who understand the unique challenges and rewards of competitive gymnastics.
Ever since joining the competitive team right before USAG meet season begun last year , they have provided a solid foundation for my daughter to develop new skills at such a young age & be pushed beyond her limits. Highly recommend this gym!

Angels gym has been amazing from day one! My daughter started off in recreational gymnastics and has now advanced to teams. She loves it! She looks forward to going to class. All the coaches are well trained and place attainable goals for all their students! They are encouraging but strict and have high expectations so that all the students can do their best! I highly recommend Angels!

My daughter has been with Angels Gymnastics for a few years now and she LOVES it. The coaches have always been great. They always give feedback to the parents, they are fun and energetic and i like the fact that the owner keeps an eye on all the classes that are happening. He corrects the coaches, ,makes sure everyone is listening and following directions etc. My daughter is on the Team now, and I can't wait to see how she will grow in this new chapter.

I was a gymnast here from age 7 to age 9 and it was my favorite place to be. Now I know people who continue to come here and it continues to be such an amazing place to pursue gymnastics!

Our experience with the Angels Team has been awesome. Angels hits the sweet spot for competitiveness while still motivating the girls as they struggle while working through learning a skill. The coaches have high expectations of the girls, but they also have fun.

My daughter has improved more this year than she ever has and I have seen her confidence grow as well. The coaches care for the kids and are also very knowledgeable and teach in methods that emphasize the important skills needed to succeed in competitions. They also foster a positive team environment which I appreciate greatly!

@bashMamba This gym 100% welcomes special needs and does their best to accommodate as much as possible, in fact one of their competitive team gymnast is a also a Special Olympics Gold athlete (pictured). The owner also was very patient with your nephew but after 10+ minutes of uncontrollable screaming they requested he be taken outside to calm down... The safety concern was respectfully explained to you (as you mentioned in your review)... I am the parent of one of competitive gymnast and the concentration of the team athletes who are training during recreational classes should not be compromised by a spectator or is uncontrollable. Additionally, while they may have teenagers teaching recreational classes, the owner and his competitive coaching staff are highly skilled. The team athletes are members of USGA gymnastics, the same organization of US Olympic gymnast... This gym is home to athletes who will soon continue their journey as collegiate gymnast (on scholarships)... So while your daughter may have been there to have "fun"... it is EXACTLY LIKE THE PGA to others...

My granddaughter started in the beginner classes in October 2022. By June she made Level 2 Compulsory Team. She advanced quickly due to the excellent coaches. Angels focuses on the fundamental elements of being a good gymnist with emphasis on conditioning for strong bodies, as well as team building. In addition to practicing skills for each event, they also occasionally play competitive games and have fun contests to build team spirit. Tony is a great coach and emphasizes safety first. He gives clear instructions and expects the girls to follow directions to keep everyone safe. Great gym and my granddaughter loves the coaches and never wants to miss a class.

Today I witnessed the owner of this gym kick out my nephew that has special needs while my 3 year old daughter was taking her second class here.(which will be our last class) to be openly blatantly discriminating to a 5 year old with special needs is beyond me. I understand concentration and gymnasts do things that can cause injury if not fully focused but this is a class with 3 year olds let’s be real. This isn’t the PGA tour. You have teenage girls teaching so how competitive and serious are we really talking here. I wouldn’t recommend anyone come here and spend money on an establishment that openly does not accept special needs children. A respectable establishment would have a plan for these situations instead of just kicking a kid out and sending his upset mother into the cold. Unacceptable

All the teachers are excellent but Mariella is the best!! I have seen the improvement that she has in just a few classes. The place is excellent and the prices are super affordable.

In response to the special needs mother and her husband's reviews... I was at the gym (with my two daughter's who are students) during the incident discussed and both reviews are very misleading. First, the owner and gym manager suggested private lessons because the class setting is was not appropriate, if the gym had not agreed to "accommodate" the family with private lessons, they would have never been on the floor for the incident to occur. Second, the reason the son was triggered and upset was because he wanted to use the high beam, the gym manager informed the coach that despite his desire and the mother's approval, for safety reasons, he must move to the appropriate beam. After addressing the coach and manager without success, the month entered the gym and with hostility confronted the owner. One of my daughter's is a recreational gymnast (while one is team), and my recreational gymnast that has been at the gym 2 years also can not utilize the high beam. This was not singling out a special needs child, it was enforcing the gym rules. Lastly, I have never seen any evidence that the staff is in any way "terrified" of their boss and/or owner. I love this gym and have had nothing but a positive experience.

The owner of this gym is extremely rude. In response to my wife’s review he made several false statements. They never told us they wouldn’t accommodate us. They told us it would it have to be private lessons so that is what we did. Then he made sure to make us feel uncomfortable being there. My son stims. That’s not something we can control and it’s over the top the impact that he is stating. At the end of the day you can choose not to accommodate us, it’s not your business model I respect that. We were never discouraged from doing the private lessons, in addition the owner was extremely rude and confrontational to parents and a special needs child. It shows the character of someone that they have no compassion for someone who is different. We should have been turned away from the start not made to be felt less then. No idea the kind of operation they run for serious gymnasts. I can only tell you the kind of people they are.

This gymnastic studio has been a dream. Honest ownership, and they really pay attention to each child’s Individual needs. They really work with them. Coach Daisy has been so great for us as she is a great balance. She is patient with young children but also helps them progress. Couldn’t recommend any higher.

If you have a child with special needs and are looking for private lessons, be sure NOT to go to Angels. I tried to stick it out there because it has been difficult finding private lessons for my autistic son. He loves gymnastics so much and was doing fantastic at the facility he went to in RI before we moved to FL. From day 1, I was blown away at how rude and unwelcoming the owner is. It is clear that he doesn’t want special needs children in his gym. There are mostly 16 year old girls “teaching” and they have no idea how to work with my son. It breaks my heart that my son is made to feel so unwelcome. He’s not even aloud to laugh when he’s there because it’s apparently too distracting for the other gymnasts. The staff is terrified of their boss. This place is horrible and absolutely not inclusive. Tonight was the last time I will ever step foot in there. I will never understand why they would have taken my son in the first place when he clearly was not wanted there.

My daughter loves Angels Gymnastics. I am so glad I found his class for her. There are about 4 different gymnastics classes closer to me but i drive 20 min just to go here and I specifically chose this place because I know they actually care about improvement of the students and getting them better. It is very structured!

Angels has become a second home for my daughter. She loves the instruction and guidance she receives there and I can see significant improvements in her skills on all events every year. The coaches are very specific with what the students need to focus on and although somewhat strict (according to my daughter), results are produced as seen in increases in her competition scores. The communication between the coaches and parents is excellent as well, as I'm always approached after a meet to be given feedback on my gymnast's scores. Coach Charlee is fantastic and on top of things and is always willing to answer my many many questions in regards to billing and practice schedules. Tony, coach and owner, really tries to make it fun for the competitive teams as well by incorporating social outings outside of practice times. We've been to other great gymnastics facilities, however, Angel's just stands out as the best one around.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this gym! Even through the obstacles that these past couple years have given them due to Covid, they never give up on making sure all the gymnast have quality coaching and most importantly have somewhere to enjoy their passion for gymnastics. They welcome you with open arms, allowing children to take free classes before committing to the sport. Tony the owner of the gym is extremely passionate and dedicated to organization and has guided MANY young girls and boys to fulfill their goals. Charlee is a lead coach, an alumni college athlete who spends seven days of the week helping with anyone who wants to put in the work. The remaining coaching staff are young but they are fresh out of their prime competition days, the relatability they have with the young athletes is what makes them the perfect role models. If you see any negative comments, I believe its coming from a place of being unsuccessful in the sport. Gymnastics is a tough sport and only for tough athletes. Bruises, scratches, injuries, and tears come with getting stronger and better, and I know that some parents would rather just get the participation trophy for their kids but this gym is here to teach gymnastics and produce award winning athletes with potential to take their skills to college and advance them in the real world. I would recommend this gym to any friends and family without a doubt in my mind! only love for this place and the people running it.

All of the employees seem to be teenage girls except for one adult man. This was our experience during my child’s trial class, so I don’t know if this is normally the case. The “teacher” who was in charge of my daughter seemed to be under 16 years old. My daughter came home with bruises on her hips because she wasn’t properly taught how to use the bars. Luckily it was a free trial so that we can find a gym that is better suited for us.

We have only be at this facility for 2 months now and I am so far pleased the teacher talks to me after every session and gives me an update on how my daughter is doing she does her best to correct techniques if being not done properly sometimes she may not see all the mistakes but I can tell she does her best to give each student her undivided attention throughout the duration of class. My daughter did a skill that was hard to do and she got to ring a bell and what happened after touched my heart once the bell was hit the whole gym stopped what they were doing and watched her do it again young old and even coaches and then everyone clapped for her I was so happy and touched to see the support from everyone. What a way to make it extra special for her. A few weeks later she was hurt doing a cartwheel and they contacted me right away and took great care of my baby comforting her calming her down. I would recommend this facility to anyone thank you angels gymnastics!

This place is horrible! I was so excited when I saw a gymnastics facility in the Lutz area and couldn't wait to get my daughter enrolled. On our first class, the teacher didn't call names, she stood off to the side and other children who knew her, ran right up to her. We waited for 10min before I went up and asked why she wasn't called and Tony, the owner, asked why she didn't go...told him because it's our 1st day and we don't know who Amanda is and she never called names (DUH). There were 10 girls who were enrolled in the class...which was great for my daughter as she is a social butterfly. Unfortunately, she gets easily distracted and sometimes needs help with simple commands (this was stated to the owner when I signed up). The first thing that really bothered me was that the teacher was never able to pay attention to all of the children in the class and would let them pretty much do whatever they wanted and wouldn't correct any of their technique. She had them go down the trampoline and didn't even watch, but instead talked to a fellow coach, as my daughter tried to do a cart wheel right off the edge of the trampoline. She was fine...but the point is that the coach didn't even see it...she was too busy talking to the owner, Tony. I decided to give it another try the following week and the same thing...she didn't correct anything wrong they did nor pay attention. She would show them what to do and then stand back and basically have them play. Other parents, including myself, were a little frustrated that she never paid attention, nor helped them do anything. These kids are 5 & 6...they need to be helped (especially in gymnastics where they can break their necks). When I voiced my concerns to Tony (the owner), he immediatley got defensive and said "well it's not my fault your child can't pay attention". REALLY?!?! Shockingly I still remained calm, until he basically called me a liar by saying that his teacher is a champion in gymnastics and knows what she's doing and wouldn't have done this. I suggested that maybe there should be 2 coaches with a group this big and he laughed and said no place does this. CORRECTION: most places do this...I was in gymnastics for 7yrs and we always had 2 coaches with a group that size. I also brought up how my daughter fell off the trampoline and could've been seriously hurt, because the coach was too busy talking...his response was: "that's why you signed the paper that said we are not liable for any injuries. At this point I lost my temper and wanted my money back. NOT ONCE did he apologize, he simply handed me my money back. I am not a hard person to please, but the way the owner acted blew my mind. I would never recommend this place. And I have had 8 friends who have finished out their month with Angel's and gone elsewhere....Go to premier in Wesley Chapel- they are fantastic and very friendly.
