I am a 67-year-old retired, firefighter paramedic and I’m fully aware of the importance of both physical and mental fitness as you age. I recently joined AnyTime Fitness in Avon Park. My orientation was with physical trainer Jayson I was immediately impressed with Jayson and his wife Alex. I was so impressed with Jayson I decided to sign a one year contract for small group training and I meet with him once a week. Jason has demonstrated in in-depth knowledge of exercise physiology and physical training. Jason is friendly, encouraging, and motivating just what I need In a physical trainer. During my orientation Jayson demonstrate all the gyms training equipment and it’s appropriate use. I look forward to our weekly training sessions and I know Jayson will help me reach my goals. If you are ready for a transformation, I highly recommend Jayson and AnyTime Fitness. You won’t be disappointed.

My fiancé and I both go to Anytime Fitness in Avon Park and overall, we really like it! Jason is one of the few people who always makes a point to say hello and chat with members — super friendly and genuine. He’s even helped us with banking issues when our bank kept flagging the gym charges as fraud 😂.

The gym itself gets the job done for beginners to intermediate lifters. If you’re hardcore, it might not be your best fit, but it’s perfect for maintaining your fitness or getting started. Love the 24/7 access too.

The only downside was the personal training program — I paid around $2k for 30-minute sessions that were often canceled or started late. They push paying in full to “save money,” but it’s a big commitment and they don’t refund unused sessions. Definitely try a few first before committing!

On the bright side, a newer trainer there is awesome (I cannot remember his name otherwise I'd give him a personal shoutout) — super motivating and helped me hit a PR on hack squats using a real “mind over matter” approach. Is also very friendly with the fellow gym goers!

Overall, great gym, great staff (especially Jason!), just be careful with the training contracts! I'll help others where I was deceived if I can anytime!

Yes this was my experience with Anytime Fitness in Avon Park Florida I went Monday morning at 10:00 for membership and I was told to wait I waited for a half an hour and nothing so I left I called up I had to come in at 5:30 in the afternoon right at dinner to get a membership it took an hour and they couldn't even give me a membership I was given a fob a key to the gym and told to come anytime today from a workout I get there at 1:30 and there's a sign on the door back at 2:30 I had to sit and wait for an hour when the manager Jason showed up to his empty gym I need the simple comment to on that he wasn't doing his job very well and he accused me of making a racial slur which I do not do I had no occasion to make a racial slur he discriminated against me because of my race and my age I'm a silver sneakers member apparently they don't want my business I've been in fitness clubs for 40 years I was a certified physical fitness trainer I know Jim's and this gym is a joke and the manager Jason is more of a joke he doesn't know what he's doing and he's costing them business they barely have enough clients to keep the lights on and he's pushing people out the door saying you made a racial slur he would have told me to come back the next day if I did terrible terrible terrible experience incompetence is the word I would have to use and I am a contacting my attorney to pursue legal ramifications for race discrimination in age discrimination don't go there

Not sure what’s going on with this gym but it has some issues. The lights in the parking lot do not work which is scary for a 24 hour fitness studio. Also early this morning in I went in and there’s water all over the floor, as seen in the picture there was a lot of water and people just working out like nothing is wrong. They said it happens every time it rains?

The personal training sessions with Jason at Anytime Fitness are amazing! His ability to motivate, tailor the workouts to my goals, excellent form correction, positive attitude and the noticeable results I have achieved to reach my goals makes every session enjoyable. Like most Anytime Fitness Centers It's relatively small compared to other gyms.

So equipment can be a bit limiting if you're used to a larger facility.

But the general manager is outstanding and the facility is clean and all the equipment serviceable

Not the best location but if you're getting in for a workout and then getting out really no worries.

For overall general fitness in a smaller facility at all hours I would recommend it.

But I can't say enough about the general manager and his professionalism.

I made an appointment to sign up and the trainer did not even show up, was told to come back an hour later still no one there to help. Went right to planet fitness after 😂😂 for the price they aren’t worth it left me waiting and no way of knowing how to sign up they make it complicated.

I wish there was a zero Star option! Run to a different Gym as fast as you can. This is the worst Gym I've ever belonged too. They lock you into a 2 year contract and won't let you out of it even when they are the one in breach of such contract by taking maintenance fees from every member twice a year and fixing nothing. There is equipment broken down all over the place. The only two recumbent bikes have been broken for months. TV's broken on multiple pieces of equipment. The TV on the only upright bike freezes after 30 seconds and much much more. STAY AWAY!

I wouldn't recommend this place. First of all, nobody responds until a week later, so if you have issues with your key fob, you'll have to wait until someone cares enough to reply. Second, the contract is terrible because even if they violate the terms, such as not allowing you to use equipment, you still have to pay even though they aren't providing you with a service. Lastly, they charge around $50 a month just for an extra 5 lbs in weight. If you're trying to be a weightlifter, you might like it, but if you're just working out to be healthy, there are way better options than this gym. For example, I'm having issues with my key fob and still haven't gotten a reply in the past 2 days yet I'll still be charged $50 this month for an issue that isn't even on my end. In addition, other gyms give you way better options and are half the price. Rather than trying to cancel and having to pay an extra $340 out of pocket. Would not recommend it personally but you take your chances.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this was so unacceptable. The gym decided to let go of all of there instructors and under pay them and over charge the attendees for classes on top of there membership without any notice. I have been teaching for years and never have seen such a thing. It just seems like they want to close by making drastic changes.

They closed for about 15 days due a remodelation, they charged us for the whole month and when they reopen they didn't do nothing. The only thing that we saw it is that they have 3 restrooms one is remodeling for about 5 months and they closed another one, leaving only 1 restroom available. They should return half of the monthly charges. They gave us a list of other gyms to go but not all people have car and also where in another cities more further.

Anytime Fitness in Avon Park is closed for renovation. This is necessary but today is the day that we were told it would be reopening. Can't find anything on the website. The phone goes to answering machine and know one calls back. What is happening?

Cancelled my membership Jan 2023. They keep billing my credit card. I had to file a complaint with the corporate office to finally get them to cancel. Filed complaints with the BBB and the State Attorney General's office to try to get a refund.

This gym is overpriced they don't offer plans where you can bring a partner. They have no sauna, no pool ,and no tanning/massage beds. You can't cancel the contract when ever you want so be careful if they tell you that you can. For the price its not worth it.

my billing information changed causing Anytime to receive my monthly payment two days late. They charged me $20 for that. I cancelled my membership today over this. The manager tried to tell me it's the billing company. The corporate headquarters tells you it's the franchise. It's disappointing. They lost a 5 year member over $20... shrewd ownership.

My only request is that they would provide small lockers for our valuables. I don't trust anyone to leave my stuff in a little cubby. I found this establishment very fishy and frankly a scam ran by con artists. They were trying to scam and force us to pay extra money. We were looking for a plan that was not auto-pay, a tall blonde skinny lady assured us we did not have to. In February we signed a short 3 month contract with the agreement of no autopay afterwards, we read the contract and were around there for about and hour 1/2. Today we went to cancel our plan since they had been charging us although they were closed during the pandemic and our 3 month contract somehow was still charging us 7 months after we signed up. A shorter heavyset lady made this very difficult. She said that we would have to pay for the month of September when we just got charged for August. Our paper also had autopay written on them, after we were told after the 3 months there would be no autopay. We confronted her and she went on to belittle us and say that we should have been careful and not sign contracts. We asked to talk to a manager and she started to pretend to cry and become upset and refused to get a superior. Very unprofessional. They were friendly, but don't let that fool you, they are conartists/scammers.

Is very upset to find out their prices were way more than Gold's Gym which is only about 10 more miles down the road Gold's Gym has a lot more amenities then their gym they don't even have a pool or a lot of other amenities that I would like I did check it out though and just wasn't satisfied overall with what you get for the price you get they need to either lower their price or offer more amenities the staff wasn't as friendly as I would like

everything was good until I wanted to cancel my membership 1, I will be moving and 2 I just don't want to go anymore, so after prepaying a year in advance I'm getting the runaround saying that only the owners can cancel it and they don't know when they're going to be in and they have to have 10 days to be able to do that. I am also told but if I am moving I have to provide proof that I'm moving 15 miles from my current address, which is none of their business, so I guess the only way to cancel your membership is to contact your credit card company to dispute your charges, and I'm not disputing the 6-month I did go I'm just disputing the six months that I want to cancel and they will not give me my money back, so for today I put in a call saying I wanted a call back from the owner, which now its 5:30 still has not happened, so I guess a call to the credit card company is in order.

Sooo update***. After a personal call from Heidi the owner, because I paid my bill in full for a year, that means I'm a year to year contract and they cannot release my contract or refund my prepayment of my next 6 months.....

2 stars for service. All the Anytime Fitness locations I have been to (4+) in the last 6 months have offered a 1 week pass for $20, then a deposit of $20 for a FOB. This is very useful because someone’s schedule may not always allow them to make it within business hours. This location does NOT offer that FOB. When asked why, or if I could talk to someone higher up about this, the staff became very defensive. They offered that I BUY a FOB for $60, or a 3month pass for $150. As a student, I cannot afford that. The staff offered nothing else, except a day pass, which was definitely more expensive. The attitude the staff had left a sour taste in my mouth. I wish the Anytime Fitnesses were more consistent with their policies all over the U.S.
