Club is subpar and in fact that enjoy making rules up on the spot that are not in fact in the contract for POC. So do with that as you will. I go there and mind my business. But of course they had to find something to mess with me about.

Gym was clean and the manager is great however the personal trainer is very rude. She makes it a point to get in the way of your workout. She kept calling me βmamaβ and was disrespectful. I went to get water and she was training someone on the equipment I was using. I mentioned this and she acted like it was no big deal and didnβt wipe the machine down.

Just before I left for the summer, I heard that Gabe was promoted to manager. He had signed me up five years ago and has always been very helpful. When I returned this week, I was astonished at how much the Fernandina Beach Anytime Fitness had improved! Examples: (1) Gabe extended the dumbbell rack so the heaviest dumbbells werenβt laying on the floor, making it hard to reach over them to get the ones I wanted off the rack (2) He moved the seated curl machine from next to the dumbbell rack to close to the pressing machinesβwhere the plates are hangingβso I didnβt have to haul them back and forth across the gym (3) Gabe moved the rack of variously-weighted barbells to a corner so it wasnβt next to the platform for dead liftingβwhich was a precarious location. (4) Other equipment is now better spaced for maximum efficiency and accessibility.
Gabe has also implemented and enforces a couple policies that make it better for the gym members and prevent others from taking advantage at our expense. The climate is better now with the mutual respect and courtesy shown by our members, which is a testament to the great people who work out there and our hard-working staff.

Home visiting family and I must say this gym had me wanting to move back with their stellar facilities, amazing customer service, and weight selection.
Shout out to Gabe, who from the first call about how I might utilize my works fitness pass to get a workout in during my vacation to the last days workout, showed up with the most professional and confident customer service. Made me feel right at home and seemed to have simplified the process for me to sign up. Thanks Gabe! Your going places!

My 80-something-year-old parents have done personal training at this gym for years. $$$ spent. When COVID hit, they told them they weren't coming during the pandemic. Recently they received a collection notice. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? BAD BUSINESS!!

Pros: Cleanliness, friendly members, 2 locations
Cons: Very small, wait times for machines, overcrowding because of size, price is extremely high for such a tiny place (both locations together are still tiny in comparison to almost all gyms).
Thoughts: This gym worked back in the day but with the way Yulee has grown this gym is no longer adequate. Hopefully the owner closes down both location and moves to a much larger spot. If that doesn't happen hopefully someone comes in sooner than later and gives us a nice size gym.

Near by! Easy access,well run, knowledgeable staff, very friendly at all times, and able, to answer all questions.
As a 2+ year member, I have always enjoyed coming here and conversing with the staff and going through my work-outs, without being hampered, by the lack of available equipment.
The facility is in the process of upgrading and is always kept clean. As the facility offers a 7 day trial, I highly recommend, that all give it a try, and I believe that all will come away, with a highly favorable experience!

Obsolete machines and just a grimy feel to the whole place. Such a disappointment. My husband and I vacation for 2-3 weeks on the island every summer and we hate to forego our weight workouts, but we didβthe city park on Atlantic Boulevard has better equipment than this gym and you can workout there for free.

Bought a 3mo membership back in February and literally ripped a lat on a stupid paddleboard the next day (probably more like a slight pull, but it hurt like a m-f- for months), then pretty much wussed out and stopped doing much at all for the next 6 months, except maybe a jog around the neighborhood now and then, so I thought I had wasted the entire membership and my money. But the other day I thought I might try and throw myself on the mercy of the court and asked if I might push the start date of the membership and the owner was nice enough to agree, and even thanked me for my honesty. First time I ever got thanked for being a wuss, but fine by me, so I just wanted to put out a good review for her and her business, b/c the place, the prices and the employees are really nice too, not just the owner.

Extremely pleased with the very friendly environment, that starts as soon as you enter the facility, with a greeting of the day. The facility is always clean and well kept. The overall experience with the staff is always pleasant, from the owner, manager, and the rest of the staff. There is always several classes for members and non members to take part in. The staff is very knowledgable of all products sold and keep products in stock. Child care is also offered and offers an extremely clean environment for the children to play in. Personal training is also offered and a orientation of the facility is also provided upon membership. Rates are great and monthly memberships are waived when reffering someone who joins!
