The gym is a complete scam. It’s way too small and overcrowded—you can’t even get a proper workout in. The equipment is extremely limited and old, you end up waiting forever just to use something basic. They clearly don’t care about their members.

On top of that, the place smells like mildew. It’s disgusting and makes the environment unhealthy. Nothing about this place is worth the membership fee.
I finishes my membership now they want me charge more. For what??? My Membership ENDED. That’s why I don’t recommend this gym. All they have is fees.

To the owners: stop scamming people with your hidden fees. Shame on you for running a place like this.

My main complaint is with the condition of the equipment. Its old, rusty, ripped cushions, and part simply missing (important stuff like handles). If they don't start investing some of our dues into the upkeep of this club, I will be changing to a different location. While another location would be inconvenient, it would certainly be better than this dump. I would encourage other members to do the same. If you start to go to another club, they will not get your membership payment here, which is fine because they don't do anything with the $$$ to keep it up anyway. The most poorly maintained of any AF location I have ever been to.

Apparently after my 2 year agreement they want to charge me a CANCELATION FEE of over $400 2 years after I completed my agreement, 3 years after I left Anytime Fitness! They are a money grab, $125 yearly “club enhancement fees” for no new equipment. I left 3 years ago, why are you making false fees and now having a bill collector tell me that this company wants to prosecute me! I did nothing wrong! I did my 2 years plus 2 more years before I canceled! So wrong!

If I could give 0 stars I would! This gym is such a disappointment! Every time I go there the equipment is always down and when you talk to a manager about it, you get a weak excuse about “closed for cleaning or maintenance”…. It shouldn’t take more than a WEEK to get a machine up. Then they have you LOCKED into this contract, so no matter how much you don’t like it , THEY WON’T LET YOU LEAVE! Also don’t get me started on how it always smells because it’s so small. TRASH!

Unfortunately, my experience at this gym has not been satisfactory. The machines are in poor condition, with many worn out or out of service, making it extremely difficult to complete an adequate workout routine. Additionally, the available space is very limited, further complicating access to the machines that are still functioning.

I have attempted to cancel my membership due to these conditions, but I understand that I am bound by a two-year contract, which I was informed about from the beginning. However, I believe the current state of the gym does not meet the necessary standards for a functional and safe workout environment.

I hope the management takes the necessary steps to improve the condition of the equipment and the facilities in general. This would not only enhance the user experience but also demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction and well-being. I am attaching images as evidence of the out-of-service machines.

I went to this location to train. The atmosphere is good, the staff is good and super friendly, but the establishment is very small for the price. There are hundreds of gyms for the same price or even less and with facilities 4 times larger. There is 1 shower and 1 bathroom for men, 1 bathroom for women that also includes 1 shower and a bathroom without a shower for either gender. The parking lot is larger than the gym itself. The only good thing is for those who live in the area they don't have to drive far to go to a gym, but the gym is small. It should be noted that it is not a problem with this location, all Anytime fitness are very small compared to other similar gym chains.

I'll do my best to give as honest and balanced of a review as I can for this gym. Most of the reviews seem to be a bit dramatically bad, or 100% praise with a perfect 5 star. This is not a 5 star gym, plain and simple. It is not a bad gym, but it could be much better.

To start, I began my membership here a little over a year ago. I was 295 pounds. I am now 220 pounds, access to this facility and proper diet are the keys to this. There are very few options for fitness facilities in Haines city, let alone ones that are open 24/7. I needed access to a facility after 11pm as that fits my work schedule, this gym has fulfilled its role in that respect.
I have no issues with the cost of membership, for every piece of equipment this gym gives me access to it is worth every penny and the enhancement fees seem to be used appropriately with regular additions of new equipment.

To review the equipment, the gym has pretty much at least one of everything, 4-5 treadmills, 4 ellipticals, 2 stair masters, and a few different styles of stationary bikes. Most of this equipment works well, most of the time. I have seen cardio machines tagged out and fixed in a relatively short period of time... I have also seen cardio equipment tagged out and left broken for several months until they were eventually replaced.

For any weight and resistance training there is only 1 of each machine, though there is a large variety. Most of this equipment is fairly well maintained, however there are a few pieces that could definitely use some maintenance that doesn't seem be getting addressed. The Preacher curl's arm rest is horrendously cracked and flaking off, it looks like a death metal album cover. The pleather coating isn't just aesthetic, its a moisture barrier, so that pad is getting saturated with everyone's sweat and there is no way to clean it.

For free weights, there is a range of dumbells, a squat rack, a smith, two cable machines, curling bars, leg press, and some other machines. The issue I have with the free weight section of the gym is the lack of space. If there are two people using the free weights they can easily take up most of the entire area with their routine. The equipment is there to be shared but the cramped space does make it a bit awkward sometimes and it's not a good feeling to know someone else is having to change up their routine around you. The new Cable matrix they recently purchased is a great addition to the gym, it is a phenomenal piece of equipment. It is also massively oversized for the space it occupies. If someone is using the cross cables in the center portion of the machine there is almost 0 space to walk between them and the back of the treadmills.

Overall it's a solid gym and worth the money if you are going late at night like I do, I cant possibly imagine going during "peak" hours could actually be enjoyable for anyone, this place needs to buy out their neighbors ASAP.

There are definitely some lies on the good reviews. The gym is stuffy smelly and old machines. You have to commit to the gym for either one or two yrs. ( what if you move and there isn’t one close to you? ) Play for key fob $30 (to enter gym)
Pay a joining fee. $50 . A maintenance fee every yr 35-40 can’t remember the exact amount (like charging $50 monthly isn’t enough) the gym is small and stuffy. Machines have rust on them. Not sure where these other reviews are coming from but we definitely must of not visited the same gym. I will do no harm to a business but these are facts I’m stating. Too much fees this and fees that and to cancel let’s not even get into that. They can keep this gym. I’ve been a member to to LA fitness, planet fitness, crunch fitness, ( all because of location purposes… these gyms are wayyyy better, smell better, better machines cheaper prices etc. so what’s the difference with anytime fitness???

Just fyi I revisited the gym… same smelly rusty environment. It’s insane how the owners responds to the fake “good reviews “ thanking the “customer “ but on the REAL BAD REVIEWS THEY JUST GET DEFENSIVE never really taking ownership to what customers or potential customers are saying. I feel bad for the people who have to deal with this type of gym due to lack of gyms in the areas. Owners take owners ship to the complaints. And potential customers you’ve been warned. Feel I was ripped off with new member fees at this location. Joined 9/27. Other location in Davenport (different owners) offering zero enrollment fee and waived first month. I paid over $120 to start at haines city, also seriously inferior in every way (equipment, size, etc) to Davenport location. Want to make it right? You can refund me my enrollment fee and first month or I’m done. There shouldn’t be this variance in ‘corporate’ chain gyms.

The gym is ok, not too big but is the only one in Haine city. I go very early in the morning because is packed after 8:30. What is bother me is that there is a skinny tall “train- ner” in the Am that literally listen to the same client (heavy blonde lady) for an hour! They go to the back room and do nothing but chat!!! Is time wasted! Since the gym is too small that room can be use for free weights work out! I would never sign with a person to hear me talk! We need trainers that push you and motivate you! NOW let me start with the really bad about anytime fitness and the whole business as a whole, first when I started everything was good and I could train whenever I want, after half a year I wanted to cancel because I moved and in my new location the nearest gym it’s a little farther so it’s was more complicated for me, I contacted the staff that I wanted to cancel my membership they said I need to fill a form and send it to management, I did

After a few days I get a respond that I can’t cancel my gym membership because I have a gym close to me (30 minutos with traffic) I asked I just wanted to cancel because it’s not worth for me, I was told that I had to pay 350 dollars for a penalty fee and the REMAINING of the 1 YEAR contract I sign at the beginning, they make you sign almost a 10 pages contract that’s not clear and not explained correctly so you get locked into a gym membership with no way to get out unless you live like 30 MILES away from the nearest gym or a MAYOR medical condition. 6 months in and I don’t use any time fitness gym and they still charging me 50$ monthly.

This is EXTREMELY predatory, unfair and definitely against the costumer, and don’t even think about canceling the debit payments to them, they would put you on collection and annihilate your credit, do yourself a favor and stay away from anytime fitness.

This gym is very clean. The members and the staff are respectful and nice. There is a good assortment of equipment. I like that its not a huge gym because it makes the experience more personal. The chances of walking into a bigger gym and the staff knowing your name and complimenting you on your progress is pretty slim. Even the members here see other members hard work and will compliment you. I would recommend Anytime Fitness to anyone looking for a gym. Yes you have to sign a contract but everything is explained to you before you sign it. I signed a 2 year contract bc it motivates me to go bc no one wants to waste their money. Personal training is definitely the way to go bc it adds to accountability. The Evolt 360 scans are great and help you see your progress beyond just what the scale says. I have not experienced the other trainers but Maria is great. She will push you and motivate you. I told her what I needed from her and that is exactly what she has given me. She breaks everything down for you and I could not ask for a better trainer or gym.

***Update*** I still love this gym. So much so that I work there cleaning now. My opinion hasn't changed one bit.

My experiences at "Anytime Fitness" is always a beautiful time where I can peacefully do my workouts and fully enjoy those workouts. Each time I arrive the consistency of cleanliness I see is never a doubt on my mind, that I am safe and can workout anywhere and not have to worry about dirt or debris. The staff is always amazing, very friendly, supportive and there to assist you in anyway they can. There is a Personal Trainer, Maria Melendez that I have had the pleasure to meet and has helped me achieve my fitness goals of losing weight and gaining more muscle. I became a member of Anytime through the Active&Fit program from my work and I look up online for business hours and it's 24/7. So I show up at 9am on Sunday and they are open because people are working out but the "Guest" door is locked and the regular entrance is with a key card/fob and with Active&Fit I just get the digital card. Nowhere online did it say I can't access the gym on Sundays. I only found out when I was at the gym and saw a sign saying they're "unstaffed" on Sundays... Would've been nice to know before wasting my time coming.

Truly your local fitness center, Anytime Fitness is a great gym. The staff maintains the facilities well, keeping everything clean and healthy - from the equipment to the machines to the bathrooms. The staff sanitizes everything multiple times each day. They also spaced the equipment out to allow for social distancing.
The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. The manager, Sharon, has become a friend, as have the trainers. The clients working out day-to-day are also friendly. I have not encountered any outsized egos, flexing in the mirrors, or a meat-market atmosphere that I've found at other gyms. The clients come from all backgrounds, all ages, and all fitness levels, and all of us are welcomed with smiles and encouragement. I have developed friendships with a number of the other clients, and we sometimes take (brief) breaks from our workouts to catch up on life and family.
The only thing preventing a 5-star review is the size of the gym. It is small, preventing the ownership from having multiple stations for the same exercise, and they don't have some pieces of equipment that I have used at other gyms. However, the ownership maximizes the space available, providing a wide variety of equipment from cardio to weight machines to free weights to a classroom for group training sessions. I have been able to do full body workout routines with no problem. And the smaller size contributes to the friendly atmosphere. I have never had to wait for more than 5 minutes for a piece of equipment to come available, and everyone cooperates with each other to allow for the best workout experience. This gym is a true gem, and I am so glad that I found it.

I recently moved to Haines City. After being a member of Anytime Fitness for almost 10 years. The gym is a nice size but, very DIRTY. I got on the tread mill and it was full of dust and sweat. I also noticed people were carrying cleaning solution bottles with rags to clean after use. That is very UNSANITARY, they are wiping their germs from one machine to another. How about placing containers of wipes on the wall throughout your gym for your members to use, saw another Anytime Fitness do this and it worked great. Also, how about investing in a once a week cleaning crew to clean the gym. Just pointing out things to improve the environment of your gym.

Great variety of equipment and fitness classes! I'm visiting from out of town and was able to get a week pass for 40$. Classes were fun and a great workout!

Well over priced, And the contract part for sure the way they get you. You either pay or be penalized with an incredible charge. No excuses. Had a medical excuse and all they did was put my account on hold for the period I was sidelined and added the time to the end of my contract.

While on vacation with my family, my nephew, an active duty Marine, called the gym and asked if they day passes. They said they do and to come on over. So I dropped him off. When I left he was told there was noone there to issue a day pass and he had to wait. 4 grown men came up to him and told him to get out, he wasnt welcome because he was not a member. Way to support our youth and active duty service members. He then had to pay for an uber to take him to planet fitness.

I would rate this a 5 cause it met my needs. I was not impressed with Lindsey. I signed up on the internet for a 7 day trial pass. Sharon set up the appointment. I showed up on time. I went to the guest door. I had to call the place to say I am here and she asked me if I tried the other door. I said no, cause this door says guest, so I knew we are starting off on a bad note. I was there before her other customer that went in that door for members. So I sat for about 10 minutes. I told her I live at the Swiss Golf, with address and bills. I also live in Ohio where I work at this moment. She said she has not to offer me and I cannot have the 7 day pass cause I am not a resident of Florida. I said I was. I just don't live here 365 days of the year. Lindsey said no on the 7 day pass only for serious members that live her and if I want to rent weekly I can. That would be fine, but the attitude and telling me I am not a resident hit the wrong nerve. Really? I am here usually 2 weeks out of a month and own my own place here in Winter Haven, even though I am closer to Haines City. Up north I belong to two gyms as working out is important. Oh well may have to take my business else where as I truely felt I was imposing on Lindsey. Sorry for the 15 minutes of your time wasted.

Been coming to this gym for about two years now and absolutely love the staff . Blonde girl who works up front I believe her name is kayla has great people skills and always greets me when i come in . Staff members like her make me wanna keep coming to this gym . Just recently i decided to continue my month to month after my 2 year contract was up and because of the customer service she provides it was an easy decision to make .

Anytime Fitness is a great gym for anyone who is beginning their fitness journey. The gym has a very welcoming vibe to it due to the amazing staff. Lindsey sticks out to me the most out of all of the staff because she was the person who signed me up and she has been really sweet and friendly since, she’s extremely knowledgable and will answer any question you have regarding the gym.
The gym itself is small but will fit all your needs, as it has free weights, benching machine, a smiths machine, threadmills, bikes, etc.

I would recommend Anytime Fitness to anyone trying to improve their health. Through regular exercise, diet and staff recommendations I was able to lower my blood sugar, hypertension, and cholesterol. In addition, the club has a nice courteous staff, the club is always clean, and all the members are friendly and encouraging. The staff members Lindsey and Casey doe a good of showing new members all the amenities of the club, giving encouragement, and scheduling one on one sessions with the professional trainers.

Great gym for beginners, as an avid gym rat, new and more machines are needed, great customer service!.......treadmills need upgrading I know of 2 that are old and 1 that needs to be fixed or replaced,i would like to see a leg press with plates on it,the one there now is very weight limited,even a heavy bag or 2 in the dance room would be nice and more gym space is always a good thing,more space,more members,more $$$.not a bad gym at all,just needs a few improvements

5 Star is for the awesome staff. Lindsey and Kayla are awesome and always helpful. I really enjoy the simplicity of a great gym in a small home town location. Would highly recommend this gym to people who enjoy uninterrupted workouts and a quiet and friendly atmosphere. However with every like there is a slight dislike. The equipment is that of a small gym , I find myself having to make shift and improvise machines tailored to my workouts. The smith machine is STILL off track and some of the machines are a bit out dated. I’m among the many patrons who would appreciate new equipment and would probably help raise funds to make the gym better. Also get some black T-shirt’s more people will buy. Overall pretty satisfied with my experience. Would like to see improvement in equipment as well as a bit more flexible contracts.

I couldn't have been more excited to be attending this fitness program. It's very helpful, detailed, clean, very clean that I mention very clean, and I would recommend anyone to come to this facility. Kayla is extremely helpful and she walks you through everything from start to finish. I highly recommend that you come looking for her because she is a prime example of professionalism and assistance.

My wife and I joined Anytime Fitness so we could take the yoga class that was offered. The instructor, Run Madison, was just what we needed. She starts off slow and easy and you gradually ease into the program. I have cut my pain meds for my lower back in half since starting. My wife's hip pain has improved also. We both feel more limber and relaxed since starting yoga. Run is a compassionate and patient instructor. We feel so lucky to have her.

So I just retired military and staying with family before I buy here again in Haines City signed up for a free trial to check the gym out. Was denied service because my drivers license had a Clermont address showed her my military id explained my current situation, she denied me for a 7 day free trial...Thanks for your support...glad you let me coexist in your world for 30 seconds before you denied me service...Class Act...Keep reading reviews below I am not the only veteran they have mistreated...

By far best gym ever, this is the first gym I've ever worked out in. I can't explain how much I've have grown in this place physically and mentally this would forever be my first stomping ground where I built my healthy lifestyle. I can't leave out the amazing people that work there who are extremely friendly and helpful and you can see their passion towards fitness and how they go out their way to help someone out. There is one particular employee named Lindsey that you see her working and helping members with their fitness goals and once her shift is over she goes and works out to achieve her goals with that kind of passion and drive anyone can feed off it and get motivated to put in work on their goals.

Love coming to the Haines City location. I have been coming here for almost 3 years now. The woman that works there (Lindsey) and my trainer (Carol) always have awesome Weight Loss Challenges as well which motivates me a lot. I came in 2nd place once and plan to try to come in 1st next time. They have classes Monday-Thursday for those of you that don't use the machines that much.

Called them three times and left a message. Still no one got back to me. Finally drove there only to find out that it cost $80 for one month. I’m visiting on vacation and wanted a place to work out. Better going to Winter Haven to MOVE ON fitness. The old golds gym. It’s $50 and at least six times bigger with basket ball, racket ball, cardio cinema etc etc etc. don’t waste your time even considering anytime fitness in Haines City.
