I am so glad that you are taking silver sneakers again. I've only been in twice so far but I love the cleanliness and all of the equipment that's been maintained beautifully. I'm hoping to get back to a regimen of at least three times a week or more. Since I haven't been doing regular exercise I need to go slow to build up my strength. But I'm thrilled that I can go back in again.

Gym ownership seems to not be attentive to this location. Ever since the manager left for another job this place has been neglected. Not cleaned regularly, equipment broken or needing to be fixed by customers (incline bench I’m talking about you). The body scan / weigh machine has been messed up for a few weeks and no staff member or owner has come to fix.

Gym regularly has a smell because there’s no one around to clean. Paper towel’s are often missing. Specifically the AB room where you need to lay on the floor is very dusty and dirty. Makes you not want to do core because you’re breathing in all the hair and dust as you move.

It almost seems like the owner doesn’t care about this location anymore and is about to sell it or something idk. I go here 5 days a week so it would be nice to see an owner who cares. I’m sure my other gym regulars would appreciate some effort as well.

I absolutely love this gym! The facility is always clean, the equipment is well-maintained, and there’s plenty of variety for every type of workout. The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cares about helping members reach their goals. We went in to join for a month, but they only offer 12 months+ memberships. We ended up joining the Crystal River YMCA where they have lots more to offer (double work out machines, pool, classes, etc.) and you can pay monthly at the Y. Plus, the YMCA was only $55 a month for the 2 us!!!

I have been going to this anytime for many years here in homosassa- staff is very nice and place is clean. it may be a littler smaller than most gyms but it has everything to need to lose weight and gain muscle. would recommend to friends and family anytime

My private gym from 11pm to 1am. I can get through my workout uninterrupted. My only wish is that it was a bit warmer in there. I want to sweat and really push hard through workouts. I improvise and layer with dry fit under a sleeveless sweat shirt !! I’m back after a long recovery from Hernia surgery

This gym is where I got my start in fitness. The staff is polite, helpful and supportive. This facility is more than enough for anyone with a goal in mind and focus to drive that goal home.

It’s got weights, water, and clean equipment. Equipment is sturdy and not flimsy like more modern stuff can be. On top of that the equipment is well maintained and there are plenty of cable attachments to ensure that needs are met.

Most importantly, the bathrooms are immaculate. Which I’m sure gives everyone peace of mind in regard to this establishments cleanliness. This is a great gym!

I've been a member of this facility for over a year, and I've noticed several areas that could use improvement. Firstly, most of the equipment is over 20 years old, which affects the quality of workouts and overall experience. Additionally, the water fountains are an issue; only one provides cold water, while the other not only offers warm water but also has a metallic taste. Considering the high membership cost, I would expect better maintenance and more updated equipment. Addressing these concerns could greatly enhance the experience for all members.

I recently traveled from Florida to California and back by car. I stopped at many anytime fitness locations in cities like Albuquerque, Dallas, and Sacramento all of which had pros and cons when compared to my home gym in Homosassa. However, one aspect that was 100 percent clear was the difference in the superior cleanliness of the Homosassa gym compared to every other place. The Homosassa gym was the cleanest by far; furthermore, many gyms did not have any wipe down containers and a few only had wipes in a station at the gym entrance. The old saying that the grass is not greener … certainly is true when it comes to the Homosassa Anytime Fitness.

He is a very positive and supportive trainer that works hard to help me set goals and achieve them.

This is the first time I’ve joined a gym and I’m really enjoying the experience. My trainer Coltan is very knowledgeable and patient. Everyone is very nice, I see a lot of the same friendly people! I’m 76 so can’t do a strenuous routine but after almost twice a week for 10 weeks I can feel a difference. There are some health issues that prevent me from doing a couple machines but I’m getting there.

I signed up and paid the extra 100$ so I could cancel "anytime". That is NOT the case, you not only have to send emails, then write a written request? They make this as hard as possible to cancel a membership. Poor business practices, and you should be ashamed that you have to go to this extent to steal from people and lie. This a wonderful gym for anybody beginning their fitness journey. I began last November focusing on Boxing and Calisthenics, and it was life changing. The 2 managers Taylor and Sharon are devoted and dedicated, they truly care about the gym and each member. They have a wide range of equipment, weights and accessories that will challenge any level. Where to start? This location is far more than just a gym but a home away from home. That is entirely a result of the world class staff that is running this location and the members that use it. Never before have I been to a gym where both the staff and members have become more than friends but considered family. Taylor Rae’s work ethic comes 2nd to none. She hustles day in and day out to ensure the gym is the best that it can be with what she’s given. When that isn’t enough, she goes out of her way on her own to make it right. I mean the girl patched a hole in the parking lot asphalt on her own dime and time in the middle of a Florida summer after the building owner did nothing about it. That’s just who she is. The members see it and we appreciate everything she more than she knows. Other than when she takes time off, we don’t like that. Good for her she needs and deserves it but selfishly we miss her. Sharon, is one of the kindest most genuine souls I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I don’t care what kind of day you’re having it’s always better with a hug and a chat from Miss Sharon. Mari….. Mari is the trainer you go through multiple trainers trying to find. She brings her Cali energy (and makes sure you know it) everyday to not only her clients but fellow staff and every member that walks through that door. No matter how she’s feeling it’s guaranteed that you’ll be getting 110% from her no matter what. If she’s training you, be ready to work, if you’re wanting to ask her questions about performance or nutrition, be ready to listen and learn. When you come to this gym you’re getting them and THEY are what make this location so special. They genuinely care about you as a person, not just trying to up charge services or supplements on you but go out of their way to help you be the best person you can be in and out of the gym. Once again we were in the Homosassa area for an all too brief visit. Last year we discovered the local Anytime Fitness on Suncoast Blvd in Homosassa. We were so happy they still offer a program so we could get in a few workouts. I had a shoulder injury just before our trip and was limited to cardio only. I found the cardio machines to be just what I needed and the attached TV screens sure make pedaling or walking away the minutes go faster. My husband also found just what he needed to loosen up with the circuit machines. Overall the facility is clean and bright. We also like the smaller neighborhood family feel of this facility. I've been a member for a few months and I like the gym for a quick workout. I brought my wife to check it out. They would not let her work out for free the first time and charged her $5.

We were planning on getting her membership, but after today, we're not so sure. They wouldn't take my cash, and we don't do business with places that don't accept cash.

They were concerned about the five dollars, the method of tender, but not concerned if my wife had any questions or to ask to show her around. She was not impressed, so they lost a new monthly member.

It’s like an ice box in there, way too cold, really old equipment, no kettlebells, no turf, no power lifting equipment, and they are increasing their dues because they’re supposedly refreshing the club under new ownership. However, the biggest issue for many of us is they are no longer accepting ANY insurance membership programs including prime, silver sneakers and the rest. Horrible business model for this area no matter what they say its not smart, they expect to gain regular memberships getting rid of insurance but people will just go somewhere else. The $20-30 they get each month from insurance memberships is better than $0 from the lost members. It really is a bad move and they will find out in a few months. I’ll be joining a different gym Monday.

So disappointed with the way the new ownership is handling the transition for members. I have been active with this gym for better than 13 years. They have dropped all SilverSneakers and other insurance based memberships. They deactivated my key fob without notifying me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Letting all you SilverSneakers members know that Weeki Wachee Anytime Fitness is beautiful, large and very clean with a very competent manager.
