First day, signed up online and nowhere does it say you need a key fob to get in. Suzanne was super rude as soon as I stepped in. I let her know today was my first day since obviously I couldn’t get in.. And she goes “and? I’m busy”Not a good first impression, I originally went to planet fitness but since in a new area I wanted to try you guys out… I’ll be cancelling.

A welcoming hello would have been nice, or when she had a second inbetween clients to introduce herself.

I actually enjoy the fact that it’s in a reasonably accessible location, management was very helpful in explaining the memberships, the trial I participated in was also a major factor in deciding to use this gym. Definitely recommend 👍🏾

I’ve been struggling with some new physical problems, so decided to see what silver sneakers offered in the local gyms. The young staff member could not have been less interested, volunteered minimal information, and had such a condescending tone when I did ask simple questions as to make me feel stupid for being there. He offered a tour which included him racing ahead of me ( I walk with an arthritic limp and slowly) as he rattled off a quick list of the machinery without explanation, as though I know the jargon. I dared ask about how to learn use of the machinery and he said I could pay $50 for 30 min with a trainer (the competition offers this free). It was a very unwelcoming atmosphere and an unpleasant experience. I don’t know if it was ageism, resentment about my free membership, or just someone who doesn’t care about his job on a bad day. A competing gym offers so much more with uniformly friendly staff scattered throughout. The one benefit to this facility is that it had Silver Sneakers classes in the mornings which the other gym does not.

The trainers are fantastic. They are the reason I workout at AF. I’m a senior and attend at least two team classes per week. Akin to a boot camp, these classes are challenging and combine weight training with cardio. The trainers conduct a warm up followed by the class. They pay attention to the body mechanics throughout the workout. What body part am I working, how should I move and where should I feel it? They care, they are informed, they motivate. Superior. And I’ve been training for 20 years at various gyms. They are terrific.

Never had a problem with staff or the gym itself for the last 2 years.

The company itself though… They try to make it impossible for you to cancel. Showed them a work contract end date in Inverness and start date elsewhere but that isn’t “sufficient proof” that I’m moving. Never had this problem with any gym ever… Sleazy tactics, avoid them.

Most anytime fitness I’ve been are well kept and equipment has been well maintained 24/7… very disappointed at this particular anytime fitness Inverness FL due to the lack of cleanliness mostly in the evenings and equipment seems like it’s not kept up at all. Hopefully they can put a bit more effort on maintenance and upgrade their cardio machines in the future.
