I will never do business again with any Anytime fitness or any gym that would be affiliated with ABC financial company. It is absolutely criminal to expect people to pay for 30 days after cancellation. In any corporation or company that thinks that that is OK, is dishonest.

And to the owner of the Anytime fitness in Lady Lake, Florida, who did not disclose this information to me during sign-up, And refused to acknowledge to me that she was the owner, would not take responsibility for this. Do Better.

My husband and I signed up for two years with this gym. There were minimal upgrades done (we were charged every 6 months for fees) and most of the time they were out of cleaning wipes for machines. We went through the whole two years and waited patiently to cancel. I was told by Eve it was an “easy” process AND to call HER when we were ready. That easy process led me to a 1 800 number which then led me to having to email my cancellation, Which led me to learn that I was still on the hook for 30 more days!
To expect your customers to pay for an additional 30 days after they cancel, after paying you for two years, is simply bad business. Good luck with this way of operation. People will not put up with that! Not OK ✌️

I have been a member here for many years. I love the Lady Lake location best of all. Equipment is always available and maintained.
Eve, the manager, is very professional and courteous and greets you with a smile.

So rude!!! My parents came to look at the gym prior to moving here and signing up. They barely let them in to look and talk to them about the facility and offerings. Would not recommend as they don’t seem to welcome new patrons and need new business. Would not even discuss pricing with them. There are other gyms in the area that are much nicer with nicer employees that are welcoming and friendly.

Love this place! Accepts Silver Sneakers! Clean, bright, and so many options. Has numerous and varied machines, so interest continues. Staff members are wonderful about helping to demonstrate proper use of the machines.
Very clean with wipes for the machines alway filled. Clean bathrooms with showers.

So, it's time that we started "getting in shape" (again). Like any startup to getting in shape, a fitness program and workout with a good explanation of a routine and equipment, how to use it, is necessary.
We went today (at my wife's insistance (for quite sometime now) and we were met by Eve. Eve questioned us about our objectives. She explained at length what she felt we could accomplish with a well balanced diet along with a regular training routine. She showed us the different pcs. of equipment and briefly explained the body parts the different pcs. would tone.
Eve is certainly an asset to this fitness center. It make us more confident knowing there is someone to help us along the way if and when we need help. Lots of equipment for working out, plus, it is situated in a convenient spot, not to far from our home making it easier to stay the course and stay on track.

Go anywhere else but here. Firstly, all the machines in both this location and Summerfield are super outdated, nearly all of the cardio machines make noises which clearly indicate they have not been maintained correctly, and a lot of the pins on the weighted machines have to be jiggled into place to function properly. Still usable but sad considering I’ve visited other Anytime locations outside of this area while traveling with beautiful new machines and a nicely kept environment, so I guess it’s just here that they chose not to upgrade their equipment. This is disappointing especially since this is not by any means a cheap gym, with the amount a membership costs along with the twice yearly service fees, there should be some movement in upgrading equipment. Secondly, the contract set up is ridiculous. I signed up at the Lady Lake location, but also use Summerfield often interchangeably depending on my schedule. Back in May I go to cancel my membership at Lady Lake as I was told I needed to cancel at the location I originally signed up for. They processed the paperwork and notified me that cancelling is a 30 day process, so I will still be charged normally and allowed gym access until the 30 days were up in June, I was fine with that. As it turns out, my Lady Lake membership was cancelled however because I use the Summerfield location as well my agreement apparently got transferred there AFTER I already signed my cancellation agreement. Customer service tries giving me the run around saying I’ll have to go through the entire cancellation process again at the other location. How does that make any sense? I did not sign an agreement with any other location, simply utilizing the “benefit” they try selling us of being able to access any location. I've come to the conclusion that this "benefit" is probably just a loophole in the contract for them, your agreement automatically transfers to the location you're using most often without even asking you. A scam. Now I’m in an ongoing fight with customer service supervisors. The only benefit of this gym is that it’s usually fairly empty, however this is not enough to make up for the cons. I’ve never had any issues with the employees in the gym itself; they’re just doing their jobs and these issues are obviously above their pay grade and should be handled by management. Perhaps if I saw movement in upgrading the equipment I would say it would be worth the price they charge. But after this whole fiasco with the cancellation I’m no longer interested. Don’t waste your time signing up here until this company gets their act together. I only signed up here because at the time it was the only gym in the area and it got the job done. Planet fitness just opened up down the street at half the price, all brand new with no games of agreements being “transferred” across locations. Save your time, money & sanity.

They allowed 2 accounts to be created under my name, DOB, phone number, therefore I was wrongfully charged for the duration of the contract. The club manager and area manager are passing me in circles and no one is helping me get reimbursed. I am extremely frustrated with how this situation is being handled.

Got turned away at the door. Lady was rather rude about it. She stopped me at the door and told me she was busy with a customer and then she was going to lunch so I'd have to make an appointment. When I asked if I could look around she told me "No. You have to sign a waiver first. And I'm with a customer and then going to lunch." Over all she seemed irritated that I had the audacity to walk up to the door and expect any sort of customer service. Worst experience I've ever had with any gym staff in 10 years of gym memberships.

Do not sign up for this gym unless you want to be stuck making payments forever that increase at any given point. I have tried to cancel my membership for three months and keep getting the run around. Corporate refuses to do anything except contact the local gym because they're individually owned. The local gym contacted me once and did not follow through on canceling so I am back to square one. When I call the finance company to pay my last fee, they cant do anything because the cancellation is not pending. By far the worst company I have ever dealt with. This has been ridiculously time consuming and I have spoke to so many individuals on numerous occasions for many hours trying to end this contract. Legal action could be necessary. Save your time and money and go elsewhere!

New management at this location treats customers HORRIBLY. The manager takes the batteries out of the office phone, so she is unreachable unless you physically go to the AF Lady Lake. I went in to cancel my (out of contract) membership after a price hike & the manager refused to do so. She pulled up my info on her tablet, showed me my profile, then said "I'm not gonna do it." She threatened to call the police on me while I was in her office, but the office phone had no batteries in it...

After receiving 2 text reminders about my 5:30 appointment for a tour, I arrived 15 minutes early. I rang the doorbell and was let in by a member of the gym. He pointed out a woman saying: "That is the office manager." I approached her and used the name sent to me in the appointment reminders. She appeared to be caught off guard and responded rudely. I invited a friend to join me using the website's functionality. She dismissed us both rudely saying: "Go wait up front." She then came to the front and took the other party waiting ahead of us, eventhough she admitted her appointment was at 5:45. What was the point of making an appointment? She lost two memberships tonight. Perhaps she doesn't care. Either way, I pointed at the door. My friend got up, and without a word, we left. I told my friend that I did not like the manager's attitude, as we walked out. He quickly agreed. It wouldn't have taken much to sign up. Just a quick tour would have done the trick, but Yvette's poor demeanor has encouraged me to drive a few extra miles out of my way to a gym with nicer staff.

Be careful with their staff. I got two false cancelation verifications and it cost me $500...

When i signed up I said I was only in USA for 3 months and only wanted a 3 month plan. They said the easiest way to do this was to sign up for an account and then give a month's notice before I left. I said "go ahead and sign me up and I'll give you the notice right now. Set the cancelation date for March 1, 2022". I also verified verbally that i was set to cancel before I left. This was done in Feb 2022.

They proceeded to charge me for a full year after this (I didn't notice because i was not reviewing my credit card statements closely enough).

Bed experience. We set an appointment for me to come in because the full truth about how much it costs was not discussed over the phone. This club only accepts a one year or two year commitment and had I'd known that prior to driving 30 min to get there, it would of saved me time, energy and gas money. Some changes to club memevership are due to covid-19. I felt deceived and that the staff was very inconsiderate. They could have been more professional in they're approach and my inital impression was very disappointing. The facility was not very roomy at all either.

Poorest excuse for a gym I've ever seen! Free weight area consists of one bench which is also the squat rack and the landmine area. I would recommend planet fitness over anytime and at a fraction of the price with more equipment than at this location, also all their weights aren't broken. Oh and the only way out of your contract is to pay the full remaining amount

I have been a member and taking classes at Anytime Fitness in Lady Lake for 5 years and enjoyed it. In 2021 new ownership took over and told our workout group that they could no longer honor our current contract and pricing, so I chose to stop classes. I notified them verbally, in a phone message, and via email. They continued to take money out by auto debit and said I needed to sign a paper saying I wanted out of the contract (the one they broke) in person. So…I went in and signed the cancellation (of a contract that was no longer in place 🤷‍♀️) then was told I will be charged an addition 30 days. In conclusion, it cost me $360 to get out of a contract they broke. I would not recommend anyone signing an agreement with Anytime of Lady Lake.

BOBBY WALRATH was very rude at this location. Without addressing the situation properly, he came out to the person I was with and attempted to embarrass him at the gym. Not a professional move at all. In all the anytime fitness I’ve been to, none have had this issue.

I've been going to Anytime Fitness for over a year and have never had a worse experience than the first (and only) time I visited this location. I was doing something incorrectly and, without warning, BOBBY WALRATH comes out of the office raising his voice asking me "is the weight too heavy for you?....you need someone how to show you how to lift the weights?" It was embarrassing for him to call me out in front of everyone in the entire gym just because I've been doing something a different way at a different gym for over a year and never had a problem with the staff at those locations. Should rename this location to Planet Fitness.

I've used this facility for about a year now. The location works for me. However, 5 of the 6 treadmills are unusable with an iPhone or iPod due to the fact that the connector head is broken. I brought this to the attention of the manager about 6 weeks ago. After 3 weeks, I asked again about it. She said that thee owner had been informed, but wasn't sure that it was going to be fixed. Seems like a pretty simple thing to fix and not the response I had hoped for. I'll consider my options when my paid term expires.
