I went to the Anytime Fitness in Lecanto, Florida to get my free trial started and the door was locked. The office hours shows, Monday, 10 - 7. Why was the door locked? I thought I could walk in. Why it is hard to come to Anytime Fitness in this area? If I was the owner, I would make sure either I or someone was available during office hours for business. Crystal River, Florida one is closed four days a week. Very strange.

Sunday I went to work out, but the music was real loud & it was for 20 year old. There was 5 total working out & we were all older than 50. No staff on site to report this issue. I couldn't finish or enjoy my session . Does the music have to be blasting?

I was visiting someone in the area of this location, so I got a 2 week pass. Bit on the pricey side, but the gym was in good shape, good variety of equipment, and it wasn't too busy.

A fine establishment, but it’s a facility that’s a bit behind on its…modernization. The gentleman in the club was kind and was proactive with those within the club. I had questions and he answered them. Ultimately, the place is clean and gets the job done, but I’d give the gym here a 3-Star just due to its dated equipment and cramped space. It feels stuck in the past. However, it’s customer service and cleanliness makes this dud a stud!

I had a truly wonderful experience at this gym. The manager was incredibly knowledgeable and showed genuine kindness and understanding towards our situation.

While the gym might be smaller than some, it is impeccably clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. The equipment is also well-maintained, which is so important.

I wholeheartedly recommend this gym! It feels like a welcoming place for everyone.

Manager, Is kind and very knowledgeable. My wife Elena and I have been on and off with Anytime. I can say that this location is a little fly on the wall so the equipment is a bit dated. However, they’re upgrading. Ultimately, it’s the staff that makes this location one of my favorites.

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. The gym has steadily went down hill the past couple of years. Only one functional bathroom and it’s disgusting. Extremely poor ownership! If it wasn’t for the convenience, I would not come here!

Had the promise of trainers being hired since July, getting new machines and showers as well, and nothing has happened yet. In addition I've been paying extra for the bmi machine they have, and it's been broken for months, so more money down the drain. I've taken the steps to cancel the membership for medical reasons and it's been alot of jumping through hoops and them charging me extra (when I haven't even been there in over a month).

Do yourself a favor and do not enter into a no win contract with Anytime fitness. They will deduct funds from your account without your knowledge. I was charged over $106 for one month. When I questioned this I was told it was club enhancement fees. Getting out of a contract with this franchise is impossible. Please save your money.

Moving to the area in two weeks, this is definitely the closest gym. However, the price.... $52 a month with $126 down payment, or $60 a month with $ 130 downpayment???? That is absolutely insane. I could MAYBE see $60 a month, but then adding in $130 downpayment. Considering other reviews and photos, this is an absolute ripoff.

I called at least 3 times , no answer. The guy who works at the front does nothing! I finally scheduled a meeting to get a tour of the gym, I ring to get in , he doesn't even answer the door, one of the members had to open it! I go to the office and he asks me, " what do I want?????" It's too bad they don't have a qualified person running the gym. I can imagine the business they are losing. ! Anyway, I don't recommend this gym. I didn't even get a call back!

Prices too high. Never seen a handicapped parking at anytime fitness. Very crowded during peak times. No place for daycare in the building. Was overcharge, and told I would get a refund in 10 days which is going on 20+ days.

Old poorly maintained equipment, a building that could use a good cleaning and they just raised the rate to $45 a month + taxes along with an additional fee of $30 every six months as a club enhancement fee. So $50+ per month as a legacy member or $57+ per month if you are a newer member.

Hmm, or should I choose the place 2 miles away at $38 per month for seniors with a 1 time enrollment fee of $50 along with a facility that's significantly better in so many ways.

I get that some people need the A.F. open 24 hours option if the only time they have available is 9pm - 5am.

I am a retired disabled veteran with 25 years of military service. I joined the gym at a time that I thought would work for me. Unfortunately two days from joining the gym I was informed that I’ll be getting surgery on my right shoulder. I decided to freeze my membership until the outcome of the surgery. It turned out to be a complicated rotator cuff surgery. They repaired four torn tendons with plastic anchors and they also shaved the bone spur. I was informed by my doctor that I would not be able to do any physical workouts in a gym facility or at home for four months or more. I then informed the manager of Lecanto Anytime Fitness of the above situation and I requested cancellation. I was informed to submit a doctor’s letter concerning that I was not able to physically use the gym for 30 days or more. I submitted the doctor letter which stated that I would not be able to use the gym for 90 days or more. They denied the cancellation because the doctor’s-letter didn’t mention details concerning the surgery. I resubmitted the second letter with details and they excepted that letter but then they asked for a cancellation form in which I didn’t have at the time. I submitted the cancellation form and they decided after 6 payments of a total of $160.52 to give me my cancellation. This was totally a tactic to collect money. I was told if I didn’t pay the bi-monthly fees I would face collections. I would never recommend anyone to Anytime Fitness. Check other negative reviews on Google.

Gym is filthy, girl who works there never restocks the wipes. My hands would be discolored after touching equipment. When I canceled the girl was very rude and sarcastic with me and my boyfriend. Not worth the money. Try a different location.

Signed my husband up for a membership and trainer. The gym is dirty with old equiment, no showers, small, and whenever I call, I barely get someone to pick up the phone. He tried three different trainers and all 3 were extremely unreliable where they would cancel 15 minutes prior to the start of the session. They wouldn't answer texts for days and failed to set up a consistent schedule. His time and money were wasted. When callling to cancel the membership, they refused to refund the unused training sessions and refused to speak to me because my husband was the only name on the account EVEN THOUGH it was MY NAME on the credit card being used. That is STEALING. The sessions shouldve been refunded and if someone's name is on the credit card being used, they should be able to cancel it. I had to go through my bank to dispute the charges because of their misogy and fraudlent behavior.

They closed my account without knowing why they closed it, then when I started a new account I said month to month and now that I'm cancelling it they said I have to pay a cancellation fee for early cancellation because I signed a year contract. On top of that, I've been charged 250 dollars in one month through six different charges.

I have only visited this location twice. Honestly, I think it’s a little cramped for space because they appear to have quite a bit more equipment than other AF’s in the area. I think a larger space would make this location top notch but it is still a nice gym with a variety of equipment and free weights.

Was member for nearly two years until I was in car accident about 12-15 months ago and was unable to continue. Notified staff of my situation and was told to come back when I was cleared by Dr. Was recently cleared by Dr so I went back to AF today to rejoin and was told that my account was sent to collections and that I would need to clear the balance before I could rejoin...and that was "the best that could be done" as stated by the lady employee. Not sure what happened with my account, but that's not what I was told when I notified AF after my accident. What was going to be an exciting step in getting back to fitness turned out to be a horrible experience. Im a small business owner and have only heard negative remarks about the new AF ownership, but was hoping they weren't true... Unfortunately, they are true. Wouldn't recommend or use again.

They convinced me my only option was a 3 month membership, then after some discussion to freeze my account until I could attend because I am not allowed to bring my son, they agreed to do it, but then secretly they canceled it then said if i buy a new membership, they will add my erased membership onto it. I joined Anytime about two years ago and have been to 3 locations, Lecanto,where I signed up, Crystal River, and Inverness. I found all three locations to have a great selection of high quality training equipment and to be exceptionally clean. The staff, very friendly and helpful.
I'd like to thank Anytime Fitness of Lecanto for being so understanding when I was diagnosed with an illness that would not allow me to work out for a month or so. I had a month left on my membership contract. The staff at Lecanto were very understanding of my situation and told me to come back whenever I felt ready and they would honor the last month of my contract starting from the day I'm able to return. No hassles,no forms to fill out, just a simple 2 minute phone call.
