The owner of the gym doesn’t maintain or address the issues unless she gets a constant stream of complaints, like the WI-FI that doesn’t work. The equipment is much older then other Anytime fitness locations, Vending machine doesn’t work. Seems like it’s maintained just enough for the owner to make money rather avoiding other issues need to be addressed

This gym isn’t maintained AT ALL. Unsafe machines, I don’t know how this is legal. Every treadmill I’ve been on at the gym has issues, some worse than others. I will never come to this gym again. Used to be fine years ago, it’s gone downhill BIG TIME. Go to the YOUFIT gym down state road 54, they have much better fitness machines!!

Tried calling several times to get information about joining. No answering machine, so I drove there. Guest entrance is locked dispute the fact the hours on the door says open until 7 pm.

Trying to cancel a membership after the year contract is almost impossible. My partner has been going in circles and they keep trying to bill the account. Speaking to people at the club and their financial services company, both keep saying to talk to the other. Spoke numerous times with someone at the club over the last two months and numerous times to someone at their financial institution, still unresolved! Not to mention, they lost the credit card information that they had on file for the billing. Seriously? Sorry, but completely unprofessional. I am not saying they are a bad club, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Awesome little big gym. Little foot print but big enough to have all the weight machines, cardio equipment, dumbbells, weight plates, squat racks, heavy boxing bag and everything needed to train. Never super crowded. All the members and staff I’ve talked with are friendly and/or leave me alone to work out. If you need someone to check you in and ask how your day is going then go somewhere else. This is a great, clean gym.

In the past year of my membership I’ve had dealt with constantly roaming around the gym looking for free weight plates, broken machines that take at least 1 week to fix, machine equipment that disappeared, trash cans overflowing with garbage, empty paper towels machines, empty soap dispensers, a toilet that has been closed for months (still is), no personal trainer for roughly 8 months, overflowed toilet that leaked onto the workout mat, staff that do not follow the advertised hours, broken water fountain, and add not having an ac for roughly 10 days. I understand waiting to receive funding to fix the ac but when considering all of these issues over the year, it’s status quo. Any positives? Yea, not many come here so I don’t need to wait for machines. Woohoo.

I used to enjoy this particular Anytime fitness gym but as of late it’s been very messy. Paper towels not filled and some i cleaned bathrooms. Today I came and the water fountains weren’t working.

I’ve been to many other Anytime Gyms both local and out of state and this one does not come close to the others. The quality of machines is not even comparable to other gyms. They seriously lack in the accessories department, ie., kettle bells, smaller weights, etc. the only reason I still come here is because it is on my way to work. I go to a better one on the weekends. They have been promising classes since April but it has yet to happen. They definitely have some work to do with this place.

This one doesn't have much for free weights or space for plyo. Good for a quick cardio session or machine weights. All the Anytimes (especially my wonderful home gym) I have been to in Madison, Wisconsin are much cleaner as well.

New owners, Thought they might actually think about their customers but, I guess not. Lights have been on with the music on but have been unable to enter due to the door not working since the storm. No communication for the customers. I went to another Anytime Fitness and at least they had a sign stating they would be open on Wed. What's worse is the number to call doesn't even pick up with an answering machine with an update. It just rings and rings. Come on people take some pride in what you do!!!

I wanted to post an updated review since the other ones were older and maybe during a different ownership. I was at another anytime fitness and just moved to this location. The past reviews did give me reservations about the gym. I was pleasantly surprised to see the gym wasn't neglected and someone was on site when I went in on a Friday morning. I can't speak to any of the other issues around cancelling but overall the gym was clean and looked to be well maintained.

The owner has abandoned the gym. No one is ever there to assist with membership issues or to cancel. No one answers the phone and this has been going on for months now. The facility is disgusting as the only person (personal trainer) who was cleaning has left. I went to work out this morning only to find out that the member’s door will not open and since no one mans the office anymore, there’s no telling how long this will go on. I’ve called, emailed, and gone to two locations to cancel my membership with no success. Corporate refers you back to the location owner who is unresponsive. If I could give this location 0 stars, I would!

As a follow up - I called corporate today and was able to speak to someone in Customer Service. Due to the ongoing problems this location is receiving, they were kind enough to cancel my membership for me. If you're having similar problems, reach out to corporate.

I've had a membership with Anytime fitness for almost four years. About a year ago I started the process to try and cancel my membership. The location I primarily frequented at 1408 Dale Mabry never had anyone in the office, I went to a franchise branch and was told I had to resolve the issue at the original place I held my membership. I called the 800 number on my credit card and they wouldn't help me either. Finally, someone was in the office at the Dale Mabry branch and told me there was a 60 day cancellation wait. I waited over 60 days and still no sign of closing the account. I decided to call my credit card company and cancel the automatic deduction. Then I started to get harassing phone calls from ABC Financial that there was an issue with my account. After speaking to a representative multiple times explaining my situation, making calls to the gym that were never returned, I sent a certified letter. Michiael Fitzgerald called me to help resolve the issue, I went into the office and he told me after everything I've been through I still have a 30 day cancellation notice plus late fees and back payments owed. I paid him, returned my key and am still getting phone calls from the financial institution that I owe 50.00. I went to the office today to settle this issue and again no one was in the office. I will never do business with this company again, they have lied, avoided me and their billing company refuses to do anything to help. I've called, sent letters, talked to the billing company and paid after I cancelled automatic deductions just to get the situation finalized. I'm still being told I owe after I've paid and spoke with a manager. The gym membership was supposed to be from month to month and not a long term contract. They are modern day extortionists. I'm frustrated, angry, and feel like I've been taken advantage of when I've been loyal, I've helped them get business, another story, and I am courteous and take care of the equipment.

I've been at this gym over 2 years. Its a great environment for a multitude of fitness goals. There's not much else you could ask for in a gym. Its usually never crowded and everyone seems serious. There's no BS. No problems getting in even on holidays.
