I saw an ad that said “looking for people to undergo our 6 week training program” and submitted my details for more information. I immediately received a text asking me my goals and what time I would be available to come to the gym. I said I would appreciate an overview of the program to see if it’s a good fit before driving over. They respond asking me to make an appointment to visit. I asked for the details of the program first, and again received a “When can you come in?” text. I asked about any pricing information for this ‘program’, and was told “That’s what the appointment is for! Can you come in?”.
It’s very strange to me that they couldn’t share literally ANY details. I understand every person is different so the program could vary, but at least expected SOMETHING (Is it a series of classes? Do they just assign you exercises to do at your leisure? Is there a trainer? Do they assign you to a coach? What does it cost? Is a diet plan involved? Do they take any body measurements? ANYTHING?!)
Because they shared absolutely no detail, I explained that I felt uncomfortable, want to pass on the program, and to put me on a “do not contact” list. Within the next 1.5hrs I was texted by another team member asking me to make an appointment and called for a second time (and was left a voicemail asking me to make an appointment).
Again, I understand programs may differ, but I think giving minimal context to an advertisement isn’t asking too much.

Update: In response to the owner, this occurred before December of 2025 (In August 2025, please see the screenshots with the date/timestamp). If you are no longer doing these programs, take down your old ads (you may be losing money if you’re unaware that you’re still running them :( oh no).
This was after I responded to YOUR ad for a 6 week program, otherwise your staff would have never gotten my contact information, and none of this would have ever occurred, and I would be at peace knowing my phone number is not on file at AF.
Please see my photo where your staff acknowledged the program existed but refused to give details, or where I “unsubscribed” in August but was contacted again by the same coach in September.
“Not difficult” for your staff to just say you’re no longer running a program when you’re the one literally advertising its existence. It is actually less effort to just not contact me.

I have been going to this location of Anytime Fitness for the past two years and have been really pleased with the number of different machines there are to work with as well as the various free weight machines that are there as well. There's space to workout without being crowded or being forced to weight for equipment. It's convenient and theist part of it is that no matter what time I get there, I can go right to any type of equipment and it's working. That's a strong point for being a member at Anytime Fitness.

Update: After a few weeks at Anytime Fitness, and working with Kyle, a personal trainer there, I've decided to revisit the review. I've not seen any more issues, and Kyle's guidance has helped me getting back into shape. The one to one training has made my decision to add a star.

The facility itself is very nice. It's kept clean, and has a good variety of free weights and machines. My limited interactions with the staff were also very pleasant.

However, my 'complimentary' Fitness Consultation never happened. I showed up early for my appointment, and the trainer was not there. I was not called/texted in advance to notify me of the cancellation. I understand 'things happen', but also expect some communication before I arrive.

This is my first dealings with the training staff, and it worries me that the paid training sessions I've signed up for will meet the same fate.

Not a good start to 'getting back in shape'.

I want to shout out for Kyle, the trainer at AF-Suntree. He has been amazing, very knowledgeable and so kind. I had been out of a gym setting for many years and have rheumatoid arthritis and he has never made me feel anything but positive and worth it. His manners, professionalism and patience with dealing with all different ages and levels of fitness has been amazing for me.

A nice, quiet place to work out. The atmosphere is a bit stale though. Some of the ceiling lights are burned out. One of the TVs is frozen. There's a lot of empty space in the front of the building which is kind of awkward. It's hard to get your membership details worked out if you want to work out at a different AF gym -- the attendant wasn't able to help after working on it for a few minutes, and told me to come back next week because my membership was too new. (This was back in November)

This is a very clean gym. The floors and restrooms are so immaculate you can eat off the floor. The smell in the gym is that of cleanliness. Since Britt has started the atmosphere has completely changed, you want to work out here! You feel at home and at peace. The staff smiles and laughs and seems more down to earth with everyone more since Britt has started. There have been no issues with this gym unlike other gyms in the local area. I love working out here. Britt and Steve are amazing!!!!

Great gym. It's one of the largest Anytime Fitnesses I've been to. You're never waiting to squeeze in at the free weights or feeling crowded. I've started going here over my other home location for these reasons. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They are always available to give great feedback or help you with a workout. Truly a great location.

First off I came as an excited customer for my very first gym membership.... unfortunately it came with roadblocks... the security is fine keyfob entry but how would you get into the place to get a membership, no doorbell..see photo... also another turn off is the sign threatening members if they are accompanied with "fines", what if they are disabled?.. also don't you think good advertising would be to welcome people to check out your gym. luckily one of your patrons came out and gave you an ok reference so the blatant disregard for how to actually run day to day operations isn't fully happening. Also 4 patrons went in without letting a random person in. You should probably trust your customers a little more. Have a wonderful day sorry you're short staffed per the notice I read but nobody was even there at 10 when I arrived. During regular business hours.

This is a great gym have worked out at many gyms in my 12 years in Florida I've wanted to join for sometime but life got in way so I stayed at my old gym which is nice buy this place much better .cleanest gym I've been in and I'm a gym rat ....James was super cool to work with great new equipment that has everything you need to get awesome workout. AND the price monthly beats the other gyms and has better equipment and huge ab area . Very happy I finally made it here. Awesome gym

Great gym- great staff. I joined this gym a little less than a year ago and have felt incredibly welcomed ever since! They have a wide range of equipment and offer everything a beginner in the gym might want. If you need help learning how to use equipment or if you just want someone to help you stay motivated, you can pay for one-on-one training with some awesome trainers and I especially love the group classes! It’s open 24 hours so I can always find a time to get a workout in and people are encouraged to wipe down equipment after use so everything feels very clean

I really love this gym, it’s a gem. Nice equipment, low traffic, 24/7 available. Yet the management barely interferes with loud conversations. There are a bunch of young people talking and laughing nonstop and I’m honestly not a fan of their convo 😂 noise canceling headphones won’t work btw.

I have been trying to cancel my membership for almost a year. I was unhappy with the cleanliness of the club during the height of Covid. I was told that because I had signed a contract they would not allow me to cancel no matter what my concerns were. I was told by a female manager that she could put me on some sort of account lock for $10 a month until the contract date was over and then we would be able to cancel. After a couple of months the reoccurring amount $42.79 was withdrawn from my account. I had spoke to someone by text message that assured me that this would be cancelled. Now to this day I am still be charged. I have tried calling and nobody ever seems to be there. I am month's past my contract date, please cancel my membership and refund me the last 3 monthly installments. This is not asking a lot and I expect it to be handled exponentially.

After calling and speaking on the phone with an employee earlier during the day and being informed there would be a staff member there till 7, I decided to leave work an hour and a half early to sign up. Yes, I arrived close to closing at 6:45 but no staff member was there. I even had a member check for me to make sure that there might have been someone there but was busy. Don’t post staffed hours on door or website, or answer phone saying you’ll be there when you won’t.

This location started great. Clean, new, well equipped, and never crowded. Well this is my third time grabbing a nasty towel from the clean stack. Not sure if they arent washing them or what. Water fountains are always dirty and moldy. Floor all the way to the excise area is disgusting. Bathroom is poorly maintained. Ceiling is missing panels all over. Shame because it all started very nice.

I have been working out at a gym since I was 14,, I am now 46... I am also a long haul trucker who traveled all over the entire 48 states and Canada for 23 years the reason im telling you all of this because I have been to probably 75% of the anytime fitness locations across the country. Been a member of anytime fitness close to a decade now..I am an avid experienced weightlifter/powerlifter. This Suntree location is by far the most equipped, well maintained, and nicest anytime i have ever been to. Luckily for me its 1 mile from my house. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION...
