absolutely ridiculous, nobody with authority is ever here. its 4pm on a monday and theres 3 young kids under 7 years old sprinting around in and out of equipment and this is just acceptable by anytime fitness standards. absolutely absurd. didn’t know the gym doubled as a daycare..
This isn’t the “wrong gym” I was there yesterday. This isn’t an active google account? I don’t typically review but I was so pissed off I’ve had to deal with this at this SPECIFIC location multiple times. its the same guy and girl that bring their kids this isn’t the first time this has happened and I’m about to just find a membership elsewhere. Gym equipment smells like urine. There's a thick layer of dust and dead skin on the front of every single treadmill.
The equipment is from the 90s.
They force you to sign a contract for no less than 18 months.
Ending the contract is 340.00 dollars.
Don't do it. There are so many nice new well kept gyms in Melbourne. This one is disgusting and the employees are rude to their customers.
Next time I go I will add pictures too bad I can't share smells.

It's okay, but expensive for what you get unless you workout at strange late/early hours. No guest options in any way, get one at another place and two at yet another and both are cheaper than here. Equipment is good. Radio is a busted speaker they can't shut off. Corporate is the source of issues, I was told. Nice people working here.

*(Melbourne location) The last time I stepped into the gym was 6 months ago. I had a membership for 1.5 years before switching gyms.*

The gym could be really good. I like smaller gyms and less crowds. It's been such a disappointment coming here though. So many things are broken including the amenities like the water massage table. When I first signed up, I asked about it and they said they were getting it fixed ASAP. It had been over a year and it was still broken. I have a friend who still goes here and he said it was still broken lol.

Half the treadmills were either not working or making weird/loud sounds. The equipment isn't kept up with and there's rips in the padding. It wouldn't be such a huge deal if the price wasn't so high. What is the point in paying that much for you guys not to fix anything? The only benefit was that it was 24 hours but now there's so many other gyms in the area that offer this with more amenities and for a lesser price.

Also, the bathrooms could be way cleaner. I know they get used throughout the day so I can't judge that too much, but you can tell when a bathroom is deep cleaned often versus just being quickly wiped down each time. As a female, that's extremely important to me.

They charge you 2 times a month which is already weird. And if you cancel in the beginning of the month you'll still get charged the 2nd half of the month plus a cancellation fee which I think equals to 1 months membership price. This is even after finishing my annual contract with them.

100% happy that I swapped last summer and do not recommend this gym for the price you pay.

Was just at the Melbourne location wanted to see the place and get info on the fees to join. Door is locked and I out there for a few min no one came to the door u can see people working out. Amazing experience with Anytime Fitness! I'll be the first to admit, I'm a bit inexperienced when it comes to gyms but Shawna is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, which I appreciate so much! The staff is delightful in general, Silvia is incredibly helpful as well! I would encourage anyone considering, or even not considering to give them a try!

James is a great manager/overseer of the facility. He is caring, concerned about both the gym and its users/customers and is an extremely outgoing, friendly, considerate and kind person. He is always willing to listen and help. And he is always taking care of the facility....always doing something. He is a credit to AF! This Anytime Fitness is also a really clean, open, comfortable place to train. It has a good selection of equipment to meet the needs of nearly anyone who works out or trains for CrossFit, endurance, toning, strength training, power lifting, body building or weight loss. The Locker Rooms are always clean and well-maintained as is the facility itself. And most important, it isn't cramped or crowed.

Started using this gym in July as it is less than 5 minutes away from work. I work overnights, so I tend to arrive around 3am and do some light exercise before hitting the showers. At the early am, its quiet but clean.

There is a good variety of machines and weights, and the showers are hot, one per bathroom.

I have been recommending this club specifically to my coworkers, even though after one month of being a member you get worldwide club access. I believe this is the best club in Melbourne though.

This Anytime is one of a few gyms that I frequent, and to be honest it's one of my favorite locations to work out in. The gym and bathrooms are always pretty orderly and clean, the equipment is limited to the space allowed although it has a wide variety of high quality machines(precor, hammer strength) and even a small turf area for calisthenics. All in all this gym has come a long way since I first came in, in Sept of 21. The new manager actually seems to have some pride into creating a good environment to work out in💪🏽🤙🏽.

Large, spacious gym and everyone is really laid back. One of the few places that has punching bags and a speed bag for those who like to do boxing training. Great way to relieve stress and get a workout at the same time.. the peace and privacy of the individual showers that are offered at Anytime Fitness are a nice feature as well.

This is the best anytime fitness location in Brevard. The machines are all well spaced and there is a lot of room in the gym to do your thing. I’ve tried the other locations but this one uses their space the best way to make the members feel the most comfortable! If I knew before I signed up I would never had gone with them. These people change so many managers and every time it’s something different they are charging me almost $1000 dollars to cancel a member that I no longer use and have me in a contract for two years when previous owner stated that I will be paying on a month to month basis and cancel at anytime. This is just wrong plain wrong

This is nice clean, spacious, and quiet gym. I’ve only had to wait for a machine once. They’ve updated some equipment since I joined in November. They offer classes and have all the basics and some of the frills you’d need/expect in a gym. I’ve had limited interaction with the trainer and manager, but the members i interact with make the gym feel comfortable and safe.

This location is now under new management as of mid Feb 2023. From the moment you walk in the gym you notice it's neat & orderly, no bad smells or dust bunnies, floors and bathrooms are clean, a good variety of equipment that is organized and easy to get to. The front side of the gym is all windows which let in a lot of natural light and make the atmosphere very calm and inviting so you aren't constantly under florescent lights. Everyone is polite, the times I have asked for help from the trainer, manager, or other members they have willingly assisted. Isiah the new manager was quick to straighten out my account and correct the issues created by previous manager and he ALWAYS greets you with a smile and you can see he cares about the members and facility. I withheld one star because the exercise mats are old and need replacing and the piped in music is pretty awful. However, the positives of this gym ( convenient location, lots of parking, open 24 hrs. good security, cleanliness ) far outweigh the negatives and I like that it is locally owned and managed and not over - run by intimidating gym rats.

The new mats were found and brought out immediately after posting this review. Great job and thank you!

I have been a member at a few different gyms in the area to try and find the one that fits me and when I walked into Anytime, I instantly felt welcomed. Anyone who frequents a gym knows that it can be intimidating to talk to managers and trainers if the environment doesn’t feel accepting. The new manager, Isaiah, is quiet but very nice and happy to answer any questions. D’Angelo, the trainer, really knows how to help boost your confidence when working out. I love the small gym aspect and it’s never overcrowded like so many commercial gyms. This gym is always so clean, I never feel like I’m going to use a machine that hasn’t been wiped down by the last person who used it. Honestly, I cannot say enough good about it here.

I read the reviews on this place, and looks like most of the bad ones are from awhile ago and under previous ownership. Despite the reviews, the manager was very friendly, and quickly got me a membership. Gym was clean, pretty quiet, equipment seemed in good condition. Not the cheapest gym around, but I'd rather pay for the convenience. I've had other Anytime fitness memberships, and aside from them currently doing month - month ( rather than a long term contract which is better for the customer ), it seemed pretty on par with other Anytime's, albeit a bit bigger than most.

I’ve been a member now for a few months. This Anytime Fitness location has been absolutely wonderful. In particular, gym management Anthony Malcaus has been able to match professionalism with being personable. The ability to remember names, be courteous while demonstrating thorough knowledge of the company’s fitness packages has been impressive. Though there are many clients you feel seen and known.

I have been a member of Anytime Fitness for two years. I only visit the Melbourne Anytime Fitness behind Applebees on Wickham. When I joined, I was told that I could bring my teenage son on my membership. This was perfect because I love to see my boys active, healthy and establish good habits early on.

Recently, new owners have taken over. The owner tapped my son on the shoulder and asked if he snuck in. He then proceeded to ask if he was using my membership, told my son he was too young to work out there and proceeded to tell my 16 year old to call me.

Son calls, and owner gets on the phone and immediately states after I say hello, “I’m not sure what they let you get away with before, but your son needs his own membership. I tried to explain how it was when I joined. He stated, “Well that’s not what’s going to happen here.“. I said okay given how you‘re talking to me, maybe I should take my business elsewhere.

He told my son to get out.

Been a member for 6 years. Used my key was approached by a very rude employee. Three of us went 2 had keys . The third person wanted to see what the gym was like before purchasing membership. We were treated like criminals. His exact words were "the way I see you all need a ticket to get into the movie theater correct ". GYMS ARE NOT LIKE MOVIE THEATERS YOU HAVE TO WORK OUT THERE TO SEE IF U WANT A MEMBERSHIP. I signed up due to a health issue that wasn’t super bad but it was a possible problem that could be worse if I didn’t sign up. So I signed up, I have health insurance so the cost was covered, the machines are good, I don’t have a actual little plan from start to finish but Ik what I need to do and work on, it also helped that I was lifting for 4 years in my house before I signed up. The gym itself is in a good area. They have a process they tell you when you sign up that when your done with equipment to wipe it down, this is good to keep everything clean and in good looking condition. The trainers help you and don’t run away from you when you need help or. Want to just say hi. The boxing class is super good and very good workout, along with the other classes they have.

I've been attending Anytime Fitness since the first week of August. I was hesitant on choosing just any gym, because I wanted to go to a place that made me feel welcome and not judged. I also didn't want salesmen talking to me on the floor about buying stuff. I want to work out and not be pestered. At Anytime, NO ONE BOTHERS YOU. You can do you're own thing and the employees are there if you need them, willing to help and answer questions. The reason I am leaving this review is because yesterday I went to the gym and I decided to take off my diamond ring and lay it on one of the machines, which I had never done before. About 4 hours later I realized it was not on my finger anymore, very upset, I called Scott -the manager and told him I misplaced it. Luckily he went straight to it and found it, and kept it safe until I came in today. I am just so blessed and thankful for Scott, I would have been so heartbroken. And to think that anyone could have kept that ring, he didn't have to tell me he had it. He was just so helpful, and it goes to show that he is a good, honest man. With a manager like that, a business runs well. I will continue to reccommend Anytime Fitness to all of my friends. I'm SO THANKFUL
