I was denied access to this gym for no reason and they simply didn’t want to discuss anything about it. I never worked out at any of the anytime fitnesses. I Was just trying to get started. I am investing in my own home gym since I am not treated with the common courtesy and respect that I deserve. And what really bothers me is when people don’t take accountability for their actions they respond with a sorry excuse that has no relevance to the situation.

Anytime Fitness – 5966 Livingston Road, Naples, FL: A Warning to All

From the moment I set foot in the Naples, Livingston Road location, the experience was nothing short of infuriating. I arrived clutching the free trial pass that’s advertised (see attached) in bold on their website—complete with clear branding and an expiration date—only to be met by a front‑desk attendant who claimed, “I don’t see you on the list.” No attempt to verify, no request to call a supervisor (or perhaps he was), just a flat refusal.

When pressed, he mumbled that free passes are only honored “in certain seasons.” If that were the case, why is their website flaunting a year‑round free‑trial program? He couldn’t—or wouldn’t—produce any written policy or even direct me to a manager. His evasive, defensive stance reeked of either outright discrimination or basic, inexcusable dishonesty.

As a result, my cousin and I felt insulted, unwelcome, and frankly embarrassed. We left on principle, determined not to support a business that can’t be bothered to honor its own promotions—or treat potential members with the slightest modicum of respect. I’ve already lodged formal complaints with corporate headquarters and will be filing with the Better Business Bureau to ensure this misconduct is documented.

If you’re in Naples and considering Anytime Fitness on Livingston Road, do yourself a favor: verify their “free trial” policy by phone, or better yet, look elsewhere. A gym that can’t live up to its own advertising—and whose staff would rather lie than admit fault—doesn’t deserve your time or money.

Anytime Fitness on Pine Ridge and Livingston in Naples is a great gym. It’s clean and machines, weights and equipment are well organized and the staff and patrons are super friendly and welcoming. While we are not residents of Naples, we visit frequently and this is our preferred gym. Anytime has a great gym membership with locations just about everywhere. This is one of the reasons we joined—open 24 hours and when you travel, you will find “your gym” close by.

Excellent gym recently updated with new equipment and amenities. I have been going to the Livingston Road Anytime Fitness for two years on and off as I travel the country in my RV. Stopped in many AF gyms across the country and this is one of the best.

Staff is always helpful and gym is spotless clean. You can tell when the owner cares about his business and wants a positive experience for members. This gym hits the mark every time.

Is this gym small, grungy, full of old equipment and giving off a dungeon vibe? Yes. And THAT'S why it gets 5 stars.

Considering it is Easter and I stopped in to get my reps for Jesus with a killer leg day let me use a metaphor to describe what I mean.

You can go to a huge cathedral, full to the rafters with supplicants, everything emaculte and pristine, where you are almost hesitant to touch or move anything out of reverence, where everything is in it's place and as one would expect and you SEE the representation of the Spirit...

OR

You can go to a dimly lit cave with a smoldering fire, a few dedicated pilgrims who made the journey, a half crazed mountain priest with a well-worn bible in hand giving a sermon so powerful you FEEL the Spirit take root inside of you.

This Anytime Fitness is the latter and while the first example is fine and good I much prefer the cave dwelling fervor this gym has.

Heavy hammers, giant tires, hack squats, old machines that have stood the test of time because they are good and true and metal.

The frills are limited but the thrills are abundant. My leg day cup runneth over.

If you're in the area and are looking to join such a gym, then this is the place for you.

The fellow pilgrims are nice and welcoming as well.

Worst Anytime Fitness I have been to. I travel for work and have been to a ton of them. This one is dirty cramped and looks like they never cleaned up from the last hurricane. Severely short on weights. One guy on a leg press should not use all the 45s in the gym. I’d try other locations around this area next time.

A small Anytime Fitness in the middle of Naples. It’s quite clean, the major downside being its size. But I make do as a functional lifter who prioritizes free weights. The bathroom, however has a very nice vibe to it and is unironically the highlight of the gym. It’s also not a very busy gym. Overall, I’d say it was a pleasant experience.

The “owner” is one of the rudest individuals I have ever come across and tell straight out lies. Also - have made several calls over the past TWO months and stopped in several times during staffed hours & no staff there - not gotten one phone call in return. The 2 times I actually got to speak with I guess it’s the owner, the disrespect is outrageous.

Love this Anytime Fitness location! We used this gym as visiting members from another location here in FL. We absolutely loved the selection of equipment here and also the general vibe. It's a little more old school with solid equipment for getting any kind of work out in. It was never at all crowded and was clean. We met both the manager, John, and the owner, Peter. This was our first visit to Naples but we will be going back often and we look forward to using this gym when we do.

I had an appointment Scheduled to tour the facility but no one showed up, i got there 15 mins early and called twice, no answer and no staffer on site even tho i had a pre schedule appointment. What a shame as i was looking forward to Join the Gym and hopefully get my self back in good health.

I joined a couple of months ago and couldn't be happier. Small gym and nice people. Jim & Pete greet me when I come in and I like that. I love the machines and they are always available. I could go to a gym for free but hate big box gyms, too impersonal for me. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice professional place to work out. Also a shout out to Lily.

I paid them up front for my membership and now they have made it difficult to get 2 months of membership credit back since they had to shut down for covid in spring of 2020. I have called several times in the last month to speak with Pete to resolve this matter and he still has not returned my call. They even tried to pawn off this responsibility to a new location where my membership was transferred to in fall of 2020. I expect more professionalism and prompt communication from this business to make things right. I paid my membership UP FRONT plus I was referred to them by a good friend.

Everyone was so unfriendly. There was only 1 bathroom, 1 changing room, and 1 shower. I was late to work because even though I reserved my slot someone was already showering. I will never go back there again. I’ll take the extra few minutes and drive to another one. Only good thing is nice treadmills.

This Anytime Fitness is by far the best gym I have worked out at. All the trainers are qualified, encouraging, and friendly. Isaac does a great job running the gym. Great gym with a positive atmosphere. If you are looking for a gym to meet your fitness expectations then this is your place. Not only are the staff here very friendly and know you by name, they all care about you meeting your fitness goals. The environment is so positive that even their clients know each other by name. Hands-down the Best smaller Gym in Naples offering the best one on one personal training around. Beauty is you can go at anytime morning or night. I was a member for almost 6 years( since 2012). I enjoyed going to the gym, for personal reasons i had to cancel the membership. Every time I would call they would say the same thing, you have to come in and sign some documents to close it. So the direct deposit continued to withdraw from my account for 2 years. I finally had the opportunity to go to the gym and close my membership, for starters the person that assisted me with it acted like he was doing me a favor, because my debit card had expired(never received a letter or phone call) the last 2 payments did not go through(even though they have taken 2 years worth of monthly fees that were not used verified by the records). Stated that there's nothing that he could do that i had to pay i order for me to close the account. So i paid yet again for services i have not received and close the account. I explained the situation and the only thing he could say is " i hear you" but then he continued to do other things in the office. I asked him if there's anything that i have to sign to close the account he said no i have nothing for you so that's when i got really upset. I asked him " you mean to tell me that i did not have to sign any paperwork and i could have done this 2 years ago but your people decline to do this?" the response was " I don't have anything to give you" i just thanked him and walked away. I am writing this so no one has to go through the same thing as I did. I thought i was dealing with a professional institution, i was wrong. Please be aware.

I have been a member of the Anytime fitness chain for over 5 years. Whenever I go on vacation to Naples I spend a week or two using this gym as my alternate. I found this to be a great mid sized gym. Everything is clean and up to date. The staff and the patrons have all been really been friendly. You can have a good workout here. The free wifi is also appreciated while I am away.

I truly believe anyone that wants to have a nice workout and not spend most of their workout socializing rather then working out, will find this gym a great place to get in shape. It's in a good location right near 75 as well. You feel safe in that little strip mall even at midnight. IMO the AF chain gives you the most value for your money, and you will always find a location near you pretty well anywhere.
