I have beening member at gym from some times now , and it is the worse I have seen it , the management don’t have any knowledge of anything, I call for information you are told the have to get to a supervisor. And it could take days or even weeks to hear back from anyone, when call no one pick the phone or return you calls. They all keep giving you different information. They not working in accord that don’t he make any sense. Why this gym have manager an a simple payment you trying to get right , and they can’t even resolve it , you told I have talk my supervisor or the computer are not open until 9 . I never heard of that before. I say this if they don’t get it together they going lose a lot of the members to there competitors.

I’ve been a member of Anytime Fitness in Key West for over a year now. Very welcoming atmosphere and amazing people. Lots of equipments and plenty of room for my stretching routine. I am finishing my work shift pretty late and especially enjoyed going there during the night time. Always feel safe and secure.

On our holiday we brought our keys from the Netherlands. We had great gymsessions in this clean and not crowded gym. Poorly equipped gym. Most of the time, there is no chance to use the cable machine or the free weights. The stair machine has been broken since I became a member here. It is almost 80° inside, which is horrible. I highly regret getting a membership for a year. This is the worst gym in Key West.

Been going to Anytime Fitness for over a year now. Always clean and staff is great. For me it's being able to go when I feel. Has cardio, strength machines, weights and everything for floor exercises. Also has personal trainers when needed. An extra plus is being able to go visit other places and using the facilities in that location.,

Totally a disgusting gym, the managers give you bad information, Miss Kayla manager lied just to sell, I was there for 4 months and she said no problem, you can come for only 4 months and you can unsubscribe when you return to your country, and when I went To unsubscribe she surprised me because I had a contract for 1 year and it cannot be cancelled. Do not recommend! I signed up for the 6-week challenge, but they charged me before I even started! I explained my busy schedule and asked to delay the start date, but they assured me I could register now and start when ready. However, they charged my card immediately. When I requested a refund, they ignored me for two weeks! Unprofessional and rude behavior from Nicole, the staff member I dealt with. They seem more interested in taking your money than helping you achieve your fitness goals. Beware of their deceptive practices!

The new management is very unprofessional and I have been fighting to have my membership cancelled and have not been able to do so . Why is it so hard to cancel a gym membership!!!! The manager Kayla does not have good customer service . I dealt with Jeff before he left and never had any of these issues. One of our group was able to cancel with Jeff and did not have all of this hassle . I just want to cancel a membership why do I have to jump through hoops and ropes do get it done.

I’ve been coming here for a little over a year and all I can say is, WOW! It feels like I found my tribe. I’m always greeted with smiles and laughter when I walk in. Help is always there when I need it and the gym has everything I need. It’s clean and very well managed. The only downside is the machines take a moment to get fixed when they break (due to stupidity) but they usually get someone here on the island within two to four weeks to repair. There training sessions are worth the money and they really aren’t expensive at all. This has been the best gym experience I’ve ever had and I’ve been tempted to go elsewhere, but the treatment is never the same. You aren’t just a number here, you are encouraged and celebrated! I recommend this location for sure!

They told me it's $85 a month to join..
This Anytime fitness only has two showers..
Unbelievable and its packed most the time..
Nobody there even bothers to take a shower at that gym because theres only two.

Firstly, the gym's size and the lack of equipment are a complete joke. It's astounding that I paid for a membership only to find myself in a cramped space with insufficient tools for a decent workout. The blatant disregard for member satisfaction in this regard is unacceptable.

Now, let's talk about the cancellation process—a process designed to hold members hostage. I signed up for an 18-month contract, and when I tried to cancel, I was hit with an absurd cancellation fee of $250. What you conveniently fail to mention is that this amount is only valid if cancellation occurs within the first month. After that, members are essentially extorted into paying the remaining balance of the contract, regardless of whether they use the facilities or not.

I had about a year left in my contract when I decided to cancel, and your gym's response was nothing short of predatory. Holding people financially captive in a contract they no longer want is shady business, and it's appalling that you choose to exploit your members in this way.

The only silver lining in this dark cloud of an experience was the distance-from-the-gym rule, which allowed me to escape this mess when I moved. However, this rule feels like a mere Band-Aid on a much larger issue. Members should not have to jump through hoops or relocate just to escape the clutches of a deceitful cancellation process.

In conclusion, my experience with Anytime Fitness has been a lesson in how not to treat paying customers. Your business practices are not only shady but also deeply unfair to people who simply want a place to exercise without being financially punished for wanting out.

New owner and manager alert. Jeff, who was a local friendly, easy to speak with, return calls and help with anything owner, unfortunately, no longer owns and operates the place.
I'm a key west local and travel frequently, so I've put off going for the past year to this gym location. Jeff was always a local friendly, call and text kind of guy and I expected everything was taken care of when I left a vm for him to cancel about 2.5 months ago. It wasn't canceled and one month ago I called and spoke to the super energetic and by the book corporate manager, Kayla who just re-located down here to manage the location from another area. She's new in town and transitioning the current members isn't her strong suit unfortunately. I'm a 'by-the-booker' myself in my career, but one has to consider transitions and current expectations and communities that you are in. One month ago, she was short on our call and explained it's a very strict, no exceptions, 30 day notice. I politely explained that I hadn't utilized the membership and asked if she could please contact the new owner and get back to me. I also texted her (to Jeff's old number), and she said she'd get back to me. Fast forward one month later and I'm still being charged, no return contact or follow up. I called back and although she apologized for the lack of follow up, she was like a robot explaining the policy and that it was strict and no exceptions. I wanted the new owner to be aware because of how tight knit and small our community is. With the previous owner, a voicemail would have canceled my account with no wait period, especially under these circumstances, and unbeknownst to me, that wasn't possible and that certainly wasn't the case. Now, three months after I wished to cancel, am I actually able to. Hopefully. After my robotic call today with Kayla the manager and consistently spouting off policy instead of care and help over $80, I'm just going to contest the charges and write this review in hopes that she'll at least get coaching to relax a little more now that she's on our little island and enjoy a bit of peace and tranquility while learning how to communicate and follow up with people who are not just customers, but your neighbors now.

The manager gave us a very nasty look from his office when we entered the gym. When my wife and I were leaving he got in our face and was very confrontational, telling us we took to long to shower, this was a very busy gym, how long did we plan to be in Key West, what gym was our home gym. Horrible service and staff. When trying to sign up, the procedure was like doing a background check. Very limited equipment.Compared to what I was used to ( Planet Fitness quality), the small space was like a joke! After a few months, when I tried to cancel my membership, the manager, AGAIN!, asked me tons of questions with sarcastic comments, "Tell me, what's the REAL reason you want to cancel". Tried to ignore him and continued completing my "background check" form to cancel my membership. Then he kept saying something like,"C'mon, we both know the REAL reason why you are cancelling" . So, what do you think I wanted to cancel my membership? The entire experience was totally a buzz kill.i would have given a minor star if I could!

I had a membership with Anytime Fitness in Central Florida. I was happy to know there was an Anytime Fitness in Key West. I had the misfortune of having to deal with Heather, a manager. My first experience was by telephone. I called the fitness center to transfer my membership to Key West. Heather was impatient, she would cut me off when I tried to ask questions and the only thing she focused on was that my membership was handled through my work insurance. She stated several times that they did not honor insurance memberships. I was told to check back with her when my current membership had expired.

My second encounter with Heather was when I went back to reinstate my membership. Again she was impatient. She would interrupt me when I spoke and she spoke to me as if I was a child. She asked where I worked. Her response was a sneer as she chuckled “you? a security officer? She quoted several different membership costs which were too expensive for me and I left without becoming a member.

Do yourself a favor and do not sign anything with this management. Incredibly rude, it’s like I’m talking to immature teenage girls. They trap you into signing an ‘indefinite’ contract after you’ve signed a 24 month agreement. Why would it be a 24 month if it’s going to auto renew anyways?! Besides the poor management the air conditioning is constantly broken, there are signs around the gym that jokingly say it’s being fixed. How long does it take to fix air conditioning? Apparently a year. The only positive experience was that they refunded my money after complaining about a fitness program that was a complete joke. The trainers and management seem like a washed up bartender who tried a professional career path. Cute.
In a community as strong as Key West, they heartlessly will deny any cancellations of a membership over $60 during a global pandemic, you should be ashamed management. Good luck to anyone who is trying to make it through this hard year and is contracted to this gym.

Interesting gym out in key west. Its a little bigger then I envisioned and definitly has more people in it then I expected on Saturday Afternoon. Multiple squat racks make squatting easier. They also have more bumper plates then most anytime fitness Ive seen. Aside from that , expect the normal assortment of lifefiynres equopment at modt anytine gyms
