Cancelled membership in writing inside 3 day cancel window before the need came up to have a family member on the phone with me as I dealt with employees including possible management rudeness. They told me I had to reach an outside agency to try to cancel after the employee I was dealing with said I was not allowed a refund. Reached the 2nd level at ABC the outside agency the nice person there Mae found out I was within 3 days and even after she spelled it out to the Anytime Fitness staff in Palmetto, FL that within 3 days meant I was to be refunded the person there attempted to tell me I would not be refunded and needed to hear me say exactly why I was cancelling. The person in the gym started telling me I was upset since I got there (total opposite) just looking for them to do the right thing, she went as far as to act uncomfortable while I was getting another person on the phone to listen to the inflammatory language that was being spoken by her, even said she might call the cops before telling me she didn’t have $1000 dollars to give me and needed to check with her boss. Left the room came back telling me her boss would reach out soon because they don’t know if I could be refunded yet. Possibility exists that my number was given to someone else not associated with Anytime Fitness because the nice lady Mae did call back two days later after looking up the case she started and noticed my membership was still active. Mae called me to see what was going on, I told her I was treated like some kind of jerk (literally by people who rob people), Mae thought it was difficult to understand what their issue was since the contract is so clear. Also when I gave her the name of the so called manager who called a day later in her system that name was not showing as the Palmetto manager or area manager.

Staff is great at Parrish Anytime if there's any problems whatsoever they are right on top of it. Their equipment is up to standards and never have to wait for a machine even when its busy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this facility.

The worst gym in the state and that's being modest. Been sending e-mails to Kayla for a month to cancel. She has been stacking fees and my contract is over. Thats why they make it hard to cancel. Why should you have to send a letter or go online to cancel in 2024? This isn't 2005. You know the service is terrible by the picky posters in the bathroom about adding charges for routine scenarios within a gym. Crunch Gym is cheaper and have much better equipment.

In a few months training with Bill I’ve seen incredible results. It is important to get a trainer who is dedicated to fitness and lifts harder and stronger than you. I believe if you are serious about your journey, you have to get a coach to help you get there safely and fast. It’s about motivation and accountability and Bill is great at that!

It met the need. The issue is it was hot and I observed one person using a wipe, to include the staff who I think was coaching folks.

The things I like most about gyms are that they are cooled and sanitary and this wasn't either.

The workout room was a bit well...outdated. The technology is from the 80s and the projector is also.

Share one bathroom and one shower with your gender.

I'll have to use it again, because it's the only place and it's 24/7 which is awesome.

But I think they know crunch is coming and might not want to update anything.

Great value for the money. The only criticism I have is the wifi password isn't on display for members. I've been going there for the past 2 weeks and still don't have the password.

They have all the equipment you need to be successful in your fitness quest. The staff: Kayla, Anne, Bill, and Tyler are customer service focused, and are always available to answer any questions. They offer a variety of training services and have the usual assortment of equipment.

In regard to the culture, luckily you won’t find any social media influencer recording you in the background or giving you an evil eye when you block their camera which unfortunately is something you now have to be concerned about. Also, you’ll find an assortment of gym goer’s that are all at different levels and all have that same common goal of becoming healthier as they define it. People are friendly, patient, and are there for a purpose, so a wait time isn’t very long if someone is using a piece of equipment that you are waiting for.

Depending on what time you go, parking sometimes becomes an issue because the pizza place next door is NY style and has a loyal following. If the gym offered two slices of pizza, large fries, and a workout plan to burn off the food would be a bonus!

I can’t speak too much about the franchise, but there are other locations in the area, and sometimes that helps break up the monotony if you need a break from the usual atmosphere.

In regard to the contract, I’ve been a member there for several years. The contract cost was clearly stated as well as their promotional offers.

Special thanks go out to Bill who is a trainer. Because of him, I’ve been able to overcome challenges from an injury that made me question my religion. Now about that pizza workout plan...

When money outweighs a person's health or safety. Multiple machines are are dirty they have years of caked on sweat grim and rust. Every elliptical in the picture has rust all over them where your hands can easily touch it by accident. A few weeks ago I got a piece of rust in my eye and I do not have a current tetanus shot. These were this way before the new owner took over a couple years ago. Sad there is no empathy for ones safety here. This is not something that's easily missed when just taking a quick glance. This is a complete disregard for ones safety and very disrespectful to every loyal paying customer that enters this establishment . Such a shame people nor business owners hold themselves to a higher level.

Before you think anything negative about the price of this gym or it’s services, no. It’s not unreasonable in the slightest or at least what I would consider it to be. I’m a BROKE full time college student with no time with the school’s workload for a job. If you have stable income and are serious about making the most of your membership, the price is absolutely reasonable. I absolutely HAVE to review this gym and the wonderful people who staff it. I (19 female) started coming to this Anytime Fitness in the middle of recovery from Anorexia in an effort to heal my body, mind, and relationship with exercise. I’ve been coming for a few months now and can without a doubt say all three of these points have improved SIGNIFICANTLY. If you’re thinking about getting a personal trainer here, Bill is a god send and absolutely worth it. This man has taught me more about fitness and nutrition than I have ever learned anywhere else and he’s such a joy to work with. Seriously, I cannot state enough, the personal training here is fantastic and you will feel so great keeping up with it. As for the facilities and equipment. Everything is clean, there’s a great selection of machines and equipment to suit whatever your preferred workout is. It’s spacious and the patrons here are very pleasant and respectful people. There’s a wonderful harmony going on in this place that I can’t be more grateful for, and I’ve been unable to find anywhere else. Sorry if this sounds over the top or gushy, but I promise you I’m not exaggerating in the slightest. If you’re looking for a gym to call your home base, by all means give this Anytime Fitness location your consideration. Thank you Anytime Fitness Parrish for being such a wonderful space.

I recently joined anytime fitness because my insurance company paid for it and I hired a trainer named Rebecca who was terrific. I highly recommend this. Jim to anyone who was looking for a very good environment with lots of great equipment and great people. I was not intimidated at all and everything was extremely clean and organized.

If you are a serious trainee who works towards an specific fitness goal and you do not have enough time to wait for machines or being rushed by other gym members this is the place for you! The equipment is all you need to achieve your goals (what ever they might be) , all is in good condition, people are nice and polite, the trainers and manager are the best, and bonus! the gym is open 24/7! great environment , people here are all about training, not about selfies!

The owner of the Parrish Anytime Fitness is a real piece of work. I had my best friend here visiting from Nashville, TN for the weekend, and she is a member of ATF in her state, however, for some reason her FOB key must not have worked properly unbeknownst to either of us, so I get a phone call from the ATF manager at the Palmetto branch attempting to notify me that I had an unauthorized guest. Well, guess what? You were incorrect, she IS a member, which I verified over the phone with the manager at Palmetto. Once again, because of pettiness, now you know why so many folks refuse to come to your branch. I could walk to your branch it's so close, but I choose to belong to the Palmetto branch 7 miles down the road, because of how ridiculously badly you treat your patrons & how trivial your attitude is towards the folks here in Parrish. Completely unprofessional indeed.

Very happy here. My wife and I are learning from the same trainer here - highly recommend it, as they will give you exercises that will actually help you reach your goals (great for people just trying to get in shape who are relatively new to it). Of course if you really do know what you're doing, there is some great equipment there too.

Overpriced and if your payment doesn’t go through they charge another $40 that will go through for your payment not going through and will then try to charge you again every week. No way out of contract they will send you to a collection agency. A company that does not take care of there own even though I have a membership here for over a year. Corporate will not help the gyms are independently own which means this is the problem of the staff in the Parrish Anytime. Besides this there are hidden $20 dollar fees they charge to your account all the time. The gym itself is average at best and the only plus is if you live really close like I did. I would prefer some aid from the Parrish branch rather than leaving a negative review, but they have not been helpful. They will hang up on you or say they’ll call you back and never call back.

I went to anytime fitness to sign up and Kayla and Annmarie greeted me at the door like I was a freaking star then they got me signed up in a jiffy and they made sure that I got the best deal and they showed me around the place to make sure I would have a good workout at all times, all of the bad reviews on here are old and relative only to that individual. Kayla seger Is a rockstar and Has proved that all of the reviews that are bad are no good, The place is clean, well staffed, equipment is great 😊 pleased to have a new gym and im excited

The gym is small, nothing ever works to include ceiling fans, and they are slow in getting things fixed. There is only 2 flat benches, constantly waiting to work out or feeling the stress of others waiting for my to finish. Run.. to another gym! For what you will pay here you can find better even if a little longer drive. Will be worth it!! All I want is out of my contract!!!!

But, some faulty equipment that doesn't appear to be addressed. Ceiling fans either don't work or spin counter-clockwise. Counter productive. I've asked about them and was told the "parts are on order." That was over a year ago. Like some people do, they tell you what you want to hear to get rid of you, but never actually address the problem. Sometimes the staff can be condescending.

I've only had bad experiences at this gym. The gym itself is small, with mediocre equipment. The first time I went there I asked the manager about a membership. She told me that if I didn't commit to a 2 year- yes, 2 years!- contract it'd be about 45$ a month. Every other Anytime Fitness is 30$ a month without any discounts. When I told her it was too much she used ad hominem attacks and told me that I was getting a "special price". I continued to ask about other possibilities to not have a long term commitment and get a competitive rate but received nothing but snark. The second time I went there I used a guest pass but was told that it was invalid at there gym and they would not honor it. How is someone supposed to try the gym and make a long term membership commitment without trying it out first? A manager told me that I had to leave immediately. Finally, I got a membership at another Anytime fitness and used my key fob for entry at that gym once. The website states that you get access to all gyms with the name Anytime Fitness. According to Lisa the Manager, this is not the case and she insinuated that if I ever returned to the gym with the general membership they would call the cops for trespassing. Do not support these greedy gym owners and their pathetic attempt at a gym.

They gotta work on their pricing if they want more members to join up. They say they have a deal going on once a year with a really low offer to start going to their gym, then its $40 a month (not that bad). If not for that one deal a year, the usually price to join is around $200 (ridiculous), as well as 2 YEAR CONTRACT! Who would sign a 2 year contract with a gym they don't even know.

New owners and this has to be one of the worst business transitions in history. The gym has now been closed for over a week and still no open date in sight. Very little notice prior to closing it's doors. Hopefully the new owners have something in mind to compensate all of their members that are still paying to use a closed gym. If not, I hope they lose clients. I for one will be highly considering giving my business and money elsewhere. If this is any sign of what's to come for how this business will operate, run.

I go 5-6 times a week typically between 6:30-8pm. I've never waited for a machine, everything is always clean. Sometimes the lights burn out, but it is a 24-7 gym. Lots of equipment and space. I don't really see the staff much but I've never had any issues. I work an hour south of this location, so it's also very nice to stop by the one closer to my work. I do tend to do my own thing at the gym so if that's what you're looking for, I'd recommend.

I don't claim to be an Anytime Fitness snob, but it nice to say that you don't realize what you have until you don't have it. I tried this specific location while in the area for work. Not a big fan. After reading the other reviews about this location I can see why it was slow. To start it was dark, it had a unpleasant smell and to me appeared to not be so clean. None of the members during my visit were friendly and didn't want to socialize at all. Equipment was old and in some cases neglected .If you can avoid using this location, do so.

Great equipment, terrible staff. Liz is a trainer at this gym, she will talk poorly about you to other members in this club, and laugh at what you wear, if you not wearing, name brand workout clothes. I have talked to many members at the Sr64 & 70 club in Bradenton, who have migrated from this gym, solely because of Liz and her little click of friends who treat this gym like there club house. If u can alter your daily route to avoid this gym, or come in late night or before 6am

Horrible..... I recommend avoiding this gym at all costs. I am a disabled veteran, I joined the gym in the hopes that I could heal. I went twice and was unable to use the equipment due to my injuries. I spoke to Liz and told her I could not attend this gym because of my injuries, she was condescending and nasty, made comments about her disbelief in my injuries. I asked for the number for the owner and was told that Sandy does not handle anything and when she does, she refers to Liz. I had to go to the doctor and get a letter that stated I was disabled and could not use their gym. This was not good enough as Liz insisted on calling and speaking to my doctor. I called the doctor and conferenced Liz and the doctor together, Liz insisted that he was not my doctor and insisted on calling him back. Liz did and the Doctor verified, Liz asked questions like, is he really disabled, is it for life.....he was taken back by her intrusive questions...I was floored at the lack of respect for a disabled veteran who after two discectomies and a spinal fusion, after being medically retired from the service...She then made excuses about not being there to give me the paperwork....Stay away.
