As a powerlifter I wouldn't recommend this gym. Usually when I'm traveling to a different state I look forward to working out at other Anytime Fitness gyms. It was a nice clean gym overall. I did what I could while working out here, as the sign says put the weights down quietly because people are sleeping upstairs. As an Active Anytime Fitness member this sure felt like planet fitness vibes in this gym.

This is a convenient gym with nice staff and clean equipment. If you are insured by Humana the membership is free. The classes are are very inexpensive and small groups. So far I have greatly enjoyed working out here.

Called on 11/9/21 and spoke to Phil. I have been calling gyms all day trying to find one that offers snow bird memberships. Phil was by far the most pleasant to talk to. Answered all my questions without being pushy like everywhere else was. I was quoted around $245 total for my 3 month membership, which is not bad especially for 24 hour access right downtown. This is the gym I will be going to and I will update my review once I get there.

Below is the experience I had this past week. Heather ( manager) called to remedy my problems and issues. I'm very grateful for that!! My original rating was a one. I'm only giving it a three because I don't know anything but chaos and stress through the get fit process. The plus side of the place is that it has nice equipment and very clean.

I went in last week to learn about a fitness challenge. It turned out it was $599 and free if I lost 25 lb or 6% body fat within 6 weeks (i mentioned it was unhealthy way/amount of time to lose weight) if I lost 25 lb I'd be too thin for me. I said I was interested in the classes and to just firm up. I was told I could do the first class for free and that my credit card would not be touched. In the meantime I talked to my financial advisor and I can't afford it at this time which I relayed to David. He said to come in on Monday and sign paperwork to cancel the account. I spoke with Peter this morning to explain that I was waiting for a covid test result. I did not want to go in and do my paperwork and get anyone sick.
So ...I've canceled via text and their app and I called to say that I couldn't come to sign my exit papers because of covid and they billed me!!!!!! WTH??? Beware I was worried about giving my credit card and they promised me over and over again that it would not be charged. I said I didn't want to pay on that card ...I just gave them that card because I was bullied into giving any card.t I didn't want to use it. David said don't worry we won't be charging this card.. I'm very very angry now. I don't like being lied to and cheated.
I'm hoping this issue is resolved this week and I will change my rating

Talk about bait and switch!! I trusted David when he told me I was signing up for the 6-week fitness challenge only to find out he signed me up for a one year contract 🤬 He swears this is what I agreed to when he NEVER mentioned a whole year to me. Now he wants to offer me a buy-out to this bait and switch. Don’t trust what he tells you!!!! What a joke- the District Manager takes my number and doesn’t even call me when she said she will. I guess the bad apple doesn’t fall far from the tree at this Sarasota Club.

24/7 entrance, all the amenities and security is safe and clean, David did an amazing job showing me how to use the machines. Its never to crowded at any given time. I will miss this gym location.

Went in to sign up and a guy at the computer wouldn't acknowledge that im there waited and he never looked at me for a couple minutes so i left. That was a sign this place is not professional and rude.. Ill take my business elsewhere

Signed up for a 14 day trial. Went twice and didn't really like it. Went to cancel and they said they count the day you sign up as day 1 so I was on day 15. Also you must cancel with a certified letter. Cannot cancel online or by phone. Unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place unless you are 100% sure you will love it.

I was visiting family over the holidays and was told I could get a membership and as long as I cancelled it within 14 days I wouldn’t be charged.

I was charged, immediately, and now I’m leaving Florida to go back home I was unable to cancel my membership after calling only 200 times. I only had to call because the place never had anyone sitting at the front desk, even during “staffed hours”.

Place is a joke of a gym anyways.

Good location and friendly members. But this is Planet Fitness in disguise or more like a library. Was warned about neighbors and to be quiet. No problem.
Gym has half my need weights so I was doing slow controlled movements and easily reracking weights with minimal noise. Got approached again!

The current manager is nice enough, but the gym is way overpriced for what it offers. The equipment doesn't adjust well for my height, and I'm 5'5." It leaves me having to over reach. I never had that problem at the gym I went to in GA. They pull you into a contract that is hard to cancel even when the contract is over. Oh and expect to get regular emails telling you to be quite in the gym whether or not you have even been there to make noise in the first place.

I joined over four months ago and I highly recommend this place. My personal training with Shannon has been excellent. He makes working out FUN and knows how to push me. I would never gotten this far without him. The facilities are always clean and well maintained.

I had stuck with this gym, despite its recent neglect, due to the fact I work odd shifts and being that I work out during different times, it was the only one with 24 hour access I knew about. To my surprise and relief, there is a new *24* hour Planet Fitness on North Beneva. What a difference! It is kept clean, the staff is very friendly, and for half of what I used to pay Anytime Fitness, I have use of Aqua- message lounges, message chairs, tanning, total body enhancement booths (= good for skin, skin tone) and there is never a line for equipment, plenty of popular machines, always available!

I had written an all star review when Jordan was the manager, Jordan was always out in the gym, welcoming, encouraging members, never behind closed doors; and most importantly, he kept this gym clean!
From the machines, to the windows, to the floors! Currently, the lady's shower has everything from left over hair, menstrual cycle stains, to bandages being left for days in the shower. I have often found it locked, and have had to use the other unisex bathrooms, which are disgusting to even look at, never mind use. Now I know why, it is not a coincidence that it has been locked, since I just got an email from the manager asking me not to use so many paper towels when using the shower. Yes, I pick up your paper towels, because I am already using my own soap to clean your shower, and I use the paper towels to clean and scrub your shower, sink and toilet. As of yesterday, the garbage bin (as it is often is)
was overflowing with paper towels when I got there, (I had not used the gym in 5 days, so look at your camera footage again, and think twice before blaming me for your slack) and I tried to readjust, but it was so weighed down with the weight of so much junk, that I just left. (I already have to clean your bathroom, do you expect me to take out your garbage too?!) I also use the paper towels to dry your floor, since your shower has no barrier to keep the water from spilling on to the floor, and I would hate for someone to slip, on the account management does not dry it or has addressed the on going issue(I have only seen "wet floor" signs placed/ yeah! that really helps dry the floor for your members not to slip!) I had not complained about the decline in overall cleaniness, and had just been doing my part to clean before and after. I notice the difference by which some members are treated compared to other members by this manager. Jordan was friendly, welcoming to all!! I don't think it is a coincidence that I received this disturbing email, and I have gotten that vibe in person as well. Unfortunately, for now, and the location, and nature of my job, will use prior to cancellation.

I've been a member a couple of months now and absolutely love it here! I actually did a trial membership at this gym and another at the same time to make my decision. This one won hands down. Shannon, the manager, was so helpful in helping me get started and I felt more welcome than being part of a big corporate style gym where I am just a number and have to pay extra just to get a little guidance. Also, the workout app is an extra bonus. I can come in knowing exactly what my workout is going to be to keep me focused on my goals.

Unfriendly. There are signs up that you need to BE QUIET with the weight machines. I had worked out for 15 or 20 mins and let the weight down a little too hard once and immediately the manager came over and asked me to please be quiet. Seriously, it was ONE time. He was not friendly and it felt like he was waiting for me to get noisy once so he could inform me of the QUIET policy. It's a freakin' gym there will be some noise from time to time.

Edit: I went to the club on Clark today and had a much more pleasant experience. When at the Tamiami I felt like I was not welcome and walking on egg shells.

I wish I could give a first hand review but I never was able to enter the gym. On 1/20/2019, I got 7 day pass online thinking that would get me in but it didn't. It's not manned on Sunday. So, I called from the door and left a voice mail. That eve, I emailed with my 7 day pass. On 1/21, I got no response. At 4pm, I called and got a person and explained situation. I decided to try and get 2 week membership. They asked when I'd be by, I said between 5 and 6pm. At 5:50 in the window that I gave, I show up and can't get in. Ring doorbell again. No one comes. I call for the 3rd time and get someone that is off site. They say I should make an appointment which I already did and that they'll find someone and call me back. I sit at the place for 30 min and hear nothing. I'm staying at airbnb and at this point may just go buy my own dumbbells and leave with the owner. I can't recall having so much trouble trying to give someone my money.

Awesome management here! I couldn’t have felt more welcome and taken care of! I came down on vacation for a week and was expecting to pay for a new key fob because I left mine at home. He told me not to worry about it and gave me a free pass for the time I was down here and was extremely accommodating! Greatly appreciated!

I’ve been a member for years. This is by far my absolute favorite anytime fitness. Just feels like home, new manager Jordan Pryor is amazing! Super helpful and friendly. Place is clean!!!! Tasteful music, not too loud. Excellent equipment, friendly clientele, I always leave with a smile on my face. Highly recommend!!!

Very nice and clean but don't forget to cancel your membership if you move. They won't let you cancel over the phone for any reason, even if you're over 7 hours away with a new job and in school full time. I loved this gym while i was able to use it but now its just taking my money and there is nothing i can do about it....
