It's almost Dec 1. Gym was supposed to reopen in November. Hurricane was 10/8-ish. Looked inside - doesn't appear it's close to reopening.
Owners response to my comments above are "We has a hurricane. It devastated the gym. We tried to sell whats left and in the end even give away the gym to another franchisee for FREE to rebuild. Unfortunately the landlord will not reassign the lease to the new owner. We had a hurricane you may have heard."

My new response - After the storm the sign on the door read "will reopen in 2 weeks". Then a new sign appeared "will reopen end of November" then "middle of December". Now it's......I'm not sure exactly what he is trying to say. There has to be insurance coverage both on the equipment and on the facility itself. Everyone else has reopened or is working diligently on their facility in that shopping center. Nothing going on at AF - S. Pasadena. There seems to be something strange going on here. Not being honest with your customers is a fatal business flaw. I just quit the facility.

They ( Mike Venas ) promote that you can use Anytime Fitness at other city locations! Totally bogus and misleading! He will not answer any calls! It's a scam on the side! Tried to use the Sarasota location! Would not respond to Costco Fraud Dept. I had to pay to use the Sarasota location! Costco made it right with me! I recommend any health facility but this one!

The gym is clean, however, the machines are terrible. The hamstring curl pulls out hair because the placement of the padding near the knee area. It also puts a TON of pressure under the kneecap if you want to use any meaningful weight. All the machines also have a 75% range of motion, the weights hit each other before you can get a full stretch in. The benches are very wobbly and do not feel safe when you are using heavier DBs. The gym could also use a Hack squat machine.

This AF has very old equipment , and the club is very dirty. See pictures. Bathrooms are gross .Carpeting needs to be removed etc etc. Sorry this is not a good AF as compared to the 100s I have been to across the U-S.

Sadly, all the other AFs nearby are now closed in this area unless you want to go to Largo, so while near the beach this is your only AF option..I gave it a 2 star because hey, at least they are open?

I have been a member of this club for 6 years. I need to cancel the subscription. They make you come in to cancel or they will continue the membership forever. They are only there 3 days a week and only during the day. They do not return calls and when asked to speak to the owner, the response is, " I can't say whether they will call you back." They acted like they were doing me a favor of cancelling over the phone. How about you return calls. This place is a scam. They make it so difficult to cancel the membership. I will be reporting them to the BBB. Do no join unless you intend on being there M-W during the day to cancel.

I was disappointed by the customer service when inquiring about membership options. The response I received was judgmental and offensive, which is not what you’d expect when considering joining a new gym. This experience has led me to decide against becoming a member and I cannot recommend this facility to others. Good customer service is crucial, and unfortunately, it fell short here.

Im a disabled vet. Your car can be tolled while you are working out or inbetween workouts at this location.

I came to this gym to work out. My contacts where itchy. So I went into restroom to take them out and sat in my car on youtube while waiting. I was shooken by a LOUD rumbling. Tow guy had my car linked up. I panicked and turned my car on. He said "no overnight parking. You using facility." What? I was literally in the gym earlier. This means unless the manager or one of the three people inside said my car was empty your car can be tolled away while you are working out. Excuse me for wanting to drive home safely instead of causing an accident that could have resulted in someones end.

When I initially signed up, I was told and reassured my contract was month to month. After a few months I decided to cancel and was told I was signed for a year. The woman I spoke to then told me I could freeze for 6 months at a time and after a year, I could cancel because those months would count toward my contract. After a year, I went to cancel and found out that wasn’t true and I had been lied to again. A few months went by and they called mid Dec that my CC didn’t go through. I said I had been out of town and have been struggling canceling my account. She said if I gave her a new card she would cancel my account over the phone. The next week I started getting emails and calls saying my account t was overdue. Due to the holidays, no one was staffed and I couldn’t get through. I spoke to someone at the branch Jan 5th who told me her hands were tied and that I needed to reach the owner, Mike Murphy. However, I’ve called and left messages with no return. Corporate said it’s up to the branch but u can’t get in touch with anyone. It is very difficult to get in touch with limited staff hours. Sketchy business practices!!

Not a lot of machines or doubles of any besides the treadmills,bikes, and ellipticals. It is quiet, clean, and it gets the job done. Has a few cable systems,free weights, and unit with pull-up bars, TRX suspension trainers, heavy bag, and more. If you take it as it is, it’s not too shabby!

The gym is small but clean, well maintained, and the equipment is up to date. I was a member for five years and never had any problems. The staff, when on site, was always courteous.

I docked my rating two stars, because I believe the process of leaving a gym should be as simple and easy as the process to join. I found another gym I wanted to join, and left a voice message with Anytime that I wanted to terminate my membership. The call was never returned. I called again several weeks later, leaving a message but not saying I planned to terminate. That message was returned on a Thursday, but I was told I had to come in to sign papers to terminate, and I could only do this when the gym was staffed which was Monday through Wednesday daytime hours. When I was finally able to make it into the gym the following week, I was told I would be charged an additional month’s fees in three weeks because I didn’t give 30 days notice. Really?

In short, the gym is fine, but communication and customer service is lacking.

I grabbed a free 1 week trial online and received a text asking when I wanted to come in and check the place out. (I believe her name was Stacey). I stopped by and was greeted at the door by a very cheerful woman who I assume was Stacey. She showed me all the amenities and within 10min I knew this was the spot for me. I just moved down to T.I. from Boston and needed a 24/hr gym.
This place has everything I need, it's clean, never crowded and the staff is A+

My ratings have been consistently a five star rating. Keara Kersey does a great job managing the facility. However for the past few months the gym has been warm. I go at 5 A.M. so I can’t imagine the heat factor as the day gets hotter. I go Monday through Friday. I was out of town the past few days. The note on the door last Wednesday was the same verbiage that they were coming on Thursday. Walking in this morning the note was gone but when I walked in the temperature had gone from uncomfortable to miserable. It was not functioning and the thermostat indicated 83 degrees. The overhead fans provided some circulation fortunately. When we joined we were impressed with the cleanliness and safety materials for personal protection. Not sure of the delay in fixing the problem but I’m in the logistics field and equipment can be obtained in a fairly short time frame in most cases. My rating will go back to five when it once again becomes enjoyable to use the gym.

DO NOT SIGN HERE!! Worst customer service. Unable to come in to cancel spoke with 3 different people over a 9 month process to get this done and never was taken care of. Had to keep calling every couple of months to reverse the charges and the someone was going to get back with me and never does. Now with a new manger that is very unsympathetic and not wiling to work anything out. Now being billed for the maintenance fees and the bill for the last draft. And keep in mind this is for two accounts. The gym was nice but when we are back i will pay more just to go somewhere else.

I have travelled here often over the years for work, and I love it. Great atmosphere and it is so clean. The new manager is the nicest and I have noticed that she is always walking around cleaning, talking to guests, and just generally cheerful and incredibly welcoming and professional. A lot of gym bathrooms feel yucky, but not this one, it’s clean and doesn’t smell bad, so kudos to them for that!

First off Anytime Fitness is very underrated, yes it might be small but it seems big enough. The staff has been great everytime I have been there and the manager Kiara ( I think that's her name I'm really bad with names) has been very accommodating and is always full of energy. I told my cousin and his wife about Anytime Fitness because they are sick of the LA fitness and big chain gyms I think they will fall in love with this gym😉

Love this location! Very convenient for my work schedule that I'm able to do on demand spin workouts in the studio when I cant attend scheduled classes . The club and bathrooms are very clean. The manager, Keara Kersey, is knowledgeable and professional. She was patient in showing me how to work the on demand system and gave me all the options for membership when I told her my gym needs without trying to offer me services I dont need, which is a quick turn off for me. Highly recommend this location!

Absolutely horrendous customer service, due to personal reasons I had to move away from the state and in no position to continue my membership, my friend was in the exact same position as me and was able to cancel no problem, but according to the "manager" at this location, the owner who is according to her "not as nice" told her 5 minutes prior to my call (which I had called yesterday and left a voice mail that was never returned nor even listened to) that she was no longer able to do anything about a cancelation. She (Keara Kersy) was highly unprofessional, kept talking over me as I very calmly explained the situation, and kept being highly dismissive and extremely rude in her tone. Do not recommend this establishment, as even the "manager" (Keara) said the owner Michael Murphy is very rude and not understanding of situations. Keara also told me at the very beginning it was supposed to be a 3 month fulfillment before I could cancel per the contract, but by the end of it, and I quote, "okay now it's a year". I should've known the type of service I'd receive when even the manager of this location is talking trash about the owner over the phone. For an establishment meant to elevate people, they sure have no idea how to properly treat customers.

My fiancée and I were on vacation and didn’t want to miss our gym days. The owner of our gym back home let us know that we could use our key fobs while in Florida and we were so happy! The facility was a bit smaller and didn’t have all the exact machines as our home gym but it also had stuff there that we liked that isn’t in our home gym as well. Would definitely recommend this gym! We had a pleasant experience there!

Stop by to check the gym. Sales person Jason told me prices change every day. The owner tells him everyday what the price is going to be. WHAT??? I should of just left then, because that just was not right from the beginning and was not okay with the fastest run through the place.

So far so good :) i love precor machines because I have bad knees, also stretching machine is nice........ love when gyms have those...... cleaning stations everywhere and hand sanitizer, but you know you still have exposure risk from just people. Not mandatory to wear a mask while working out, but I just keep my distance and sanitize my own stuff, been okay so far. Peaceful, and people are nice, they pretty much keep distance when they see mask. :) no problem so far would recommend based off location, Customer service, and cleanliness.

Husband and I just moved to the Bay area and we have visited several AF around the area. As far as staff and cleanliness goes, this is the best. This particular one is quite amusing when it comes to the members but don't let that stop you from joining. The guys seem to buy their t-shirts at Baby Gap and the trophy wives usually discuss the meatloaf they have eaten the night before when getting their personal training. The best day to come is leg day because the squat rack and leg machines are rarely used.

If I am the problem, then why did your financial institute refund me the amount I was disputing? The answer is probably because I filed with the BBB about the issue. The problem in my opinion is your customer service. You accepted no culpability and offered no help at any turn. Instead, you pass along the issue to a bank who gives people the run around when there is an issue.
It's sad to me that some gym's have to resort to these measures. I'll be choosing better gyms in the future that do a better job appreciating and helping their customers.

This place is a joke. My advice find a locally owned gym where the owner/management actually care and know what they are doing. For the price I was paying a month you'd expect better customer service, but not here.

Update: I was able to get my membership issues resolved through the club itself after a few VERY FRUSTRATING attempts with ABC financial. My advice to anyone having membership issues is deal directly with the club not ABC which collects the monthly membership fees and basically handles the corporate side of the business. ABC and their "corporate policies" will leave you frustrated and angry. I really wish that I didn't have to go through this and be treated the way I was by them. Anyhow, I just wanted to say thank you Jason for helping me get this resolved.

The alleged beauty of an anytime fitness is that a person should be able to actually workout at odd times. However, that's not the case when there is only one power rack and no bench press. So not only can't I squat at 9 PM, I can't do overhead presses or bench press ... because there's only ONE power rack. I've now tried to get a lift in twice today with no success. Remind me: what convenience am I paying for exactly.

When I’m not able to visit the South St. Pete facility, I head over to the South Pasadena gym. Everyone who works here is great, friendly, and knows about the machines. I was given the opportunity to create a workout and weight loss program by Lena. She really knows her stuff when it comes to getting into shape. The owner, Michael, has been there a few times. He made sure I was happy and comfortable with my workout. I’m glad I chose Anytime Fitness. I won’t go anywhere else.

This is a very nice and clean Anytime Fitness. It has a little bit of everything except for an oly platform! This is the only one that I've been to that doesn't have one. Other members improvised an area, so you can still lift heavy things if you choose this location.
