Very challenging but I felt great after class. High-intensity, fast-paced workout that gets you to muscle failure. Highly recommend for days when you want push yourself.

Apex is one of my favorite workouts. You can expect intentional slow movements led by motivational teachers who create a space where your workouts feel challenging, accessible, and safe. My body has become both stronger and more capable since beginning this practice.
If you are a beginner, don’t worry! The teachers have your back 🫶🏻 They will give you a machine tour your first visit and ensure you are feeling as comfortable as possible during your first visit. They are also always willing to answer any follow up questions after your workout!

I regret signing up for a membership here. I was excited to get into Pilates, but the experience was underwhelming and ultimately left me feeling taken advantage of. First off, the majority of instructors barely engage — most just read the moves off their phones and give zero personalized feedback or corrections. If you're new or want proper guidance, you're on your own.
The real kicker was the cancellation policy. I tried to cancel at the end of my first month, only to be told (after being charged again) that there's a 30-day notice required and a two-month minimum — all buried in fine print at the bottom of a safety waiver. No one explained this clearly, and by the time you find out, it's too late. When I asked for a refund for the month I won’t even be in town to attend, I was told there were “no exceptions.”
Between the impersonal instruction and the shady cancellation terms, this place feels more like a money trap than a welcoming fitness community. Be careful before you sign anything.

I’ve been going to Apex for pilates classes since June and just canceled my membership. In summer it’s easy to book classes. Now, even when I book a week out I am 15+ on the waitlist.
It is so expensive and there’s a $15 cancellation fee even with their unlimited class package. Be prepared to pay $160+ and still have to pay $15 to cancel in the 8 hour window.
I know they are opening a new location but the cost is not worth it to constantly get on long waitlists and the awful cancelation policy.
Some instructors are awesome and great. But some aren’t.Super expensive; only worth it in the summer when no one else is in town.

This place is a gem! Finally Gville has something comparable to bigger cityish work out standards. Their intro $30 for 3 classes is a steal, cancellation policies generous compared to other Lagree Method fitness & HIIT places I’ve attended around the country & personnel and instructors are friendly. If anything, I think they should have a 12 hour cancellation policy instead of an 8 hour cancellation policy since all the classes are so full! ;) A dedicated twice
a week newbie class may be needed in the future to help tame the flow of a packed sold out waitlisted schedule.
APEX 1 with Anna was a treat with fun cues, great music selections and motivating words. APEX deep space with Kaleigh was awesome with clear prompts, fun students and a teacher that really is the bread and butter of this place. APEX 1 with Kayla was great with hands on assists, good music and a teacher that really cares about alignment and kinesiology.

Buyer Beware. Yes, my daughter loves this studio. However, be aware that their reservation & waitlist system is a trap that will charge you $15 for a no show, $3 for a mat that you didn't use, each time. We have a $199/month membership and have been charged over $200 in no show fees in the last 3 months. The issue is, you might get off the waitlist at 1am, and you have 8 hours to cancel, but if you miss the window, you'll be charged. So you get an alert that you're off the waitlist while you're sleeping, and don't have an opportunity to cancel if you can't go. I asked for a refund of charges and was denied. It's a blatant money grab, totally unnecessary when you have a constant pipeline of customers ready to show up at a moment's notice. Just know this before you go.

I really wanted to give APEX and Yoga Pod a five star rating, as I really enjoy the variety of classes that they offer and the skill and expertise of the instructors. However, I have been really off-put by the studio's policies, which I find unfairly draconian and financially predatory. The studio charges a whopping $20 per class no-show fee, a $10 late cancellation fee, a $5 mat rental fee ($3 for member), and $5 towel rental fee ($3 for members). In addition, they zealously enforce their five-minute late policy, making no excuses or exceptions. I recently drove across town to attend one of their evening yoga class, only to be denied entry because I was 6 MINUTES LATE. As a single mother of a three year old who works a demanding full time job, this was NOT the service that I anticipated, especially from a business that claims to embody "empathy," "compassion," and "non-judgment."

Worst pilates studio ever. I recommend training at home over this, the audacity to charge that price with the low-quality service is baffling to me. Will not ever come back.

Unwelcoming and rude staff. Classes get boring after a couple times because there are no unique routines or teachers that actually correct you. Also, they require you to pay a "final membership payment" and if you change your membership, their policy has no flexibility and tries to trap you into paying hundreds of dollars for more months than you actually want/need. This contrasts with their core values of "DOING THE RIGHT THING". Their competitors also have much more flexible policies as well as compassionate and understanding staff members. Do not waste your time and money with this greedy and unaccommodating joke of a pilates studio!

I've been doing pilates for over 2 years now and coming to APEX makes me want to never come back or practice in general. The instructors are unprofessional and seem more interested in socializing than actually teaching. They routinely ignore form and posture, but that is to be expected after all the "teachers" they add on just to charge more for the teacher trainings. It's clear that they just want to get more money from these teacher sessions without ensuring quality. The studio itself is old and often smells. Equipment is outdated and breaking and there’s a weird smell that they seem to just cover up with air freshner. It’s hard to believe they call this a “wellness environment.” On top of that, they’re always overselling memberships, so its practically impossible to sign up for classes unless you do it in the middle of the night one week before. The front desk staff is unfriendly and aren't knowlegeable about many areas that customers might ask about or have concerns on.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This studio's business practices are nothing short of deceptive, and their customer service is abysmal. They market their services and freeze as a helpful policy but don’t explain it comes with endless hidden fees and zero flexibility.
They refuse to accommodate anyone, even in situations where members face unexpected life changes. I recently had a family member pass away and needed to go back and be with family for a while and they showed absolutely no empathy in this situation and only wanted to charge me additional fees. It’s clear they care more about squeezing every penny from members than actually supporting a healthy, flexible community.
The management is either unaware of the concept of customer loyalty or simply doesn’t care. Emails and phone calls went unanswered, and when I did get a response, it was robotic and condescending. They refuse to budge on any of their policies, no matter how unreasonable.
The classes themselves are overpriced, and despite their claims, the instructors are mediocre at best. Save your money and find a studio that values its customers and treats them with respect.

From the moment I walked through the doors, I was met with an atmosphere of cleanliness, professionalism, and genuine warmth. Each session I attended was led by highly knowledgeable instructors. They were able to guide and challenge me in a way that was both effective and enjoyable. The front desk staff were always ready to assist with any inquiries, and their friendly demeanor created a pleasant and inviting environment. It was evident that the entire team was committed to ensuring a positive experience for every client.

I've been attending apex classes at this studio since they opened nearly 3 years ago. I started off coming twice a week and now attend at least 4 classes a week. I love this studio. Everything from the facilities to the staff is top notch. It's a very welcoming environment full of people of every age.
The workout is extremely challenging but it's done in a way that's accessible and encouraging. Students are encouraged to find muscle failure and that rest is celebrated. The machine is slightly similar to a traditional pilates machine but the workout is completely different. For most of the classes slow and controlled movement is required. The music adds so much to the workout and allows you to really fall into your own without much attention on what those around you are doing. Most days of the week classes are offered from early in the morning until late at night. And only a max of 10 students per class lends to some real one on one attention from the instructor.
Tip: If it's your first time, try attending a Foundations class first so you can become better acquainted with the machine before you try the Level 1 or Level 2 classes. Getting used to all the moving parts on the machine is the first biggest challenge. After that you can concentrate on getting stronger.

Visiting from out of state, I attended one APEX high intensity Pilates class. My experience in the class was excellent. The staff was welcoming and helpful, making sure I was prepared and knew what to expect. I have had years of taking and teaching pilates. I enjoyed the pace of class and the cues that were given. It is not the traditional Pilates experience but it is a great one!

Challenge. The heat. The constant movement for 45 minutes. Guess what. It’s the best thing I have done for my body in a long time. The staff is great. Inclusive and welcoming. I love it. If looking for something to get you back to working out or something new and healthy. This is the place to go.

APEX is the fitness studio Gainesville needed! The workout is SO challenging, but very accessible. The low impact, high intensity training fits any type of athlete whether you are new to fitness or the strongest one in the room. It does take a couple of classes for you to feel comfortable with the machine and workout, but that is why the intro offer of 3 classes for $30 is a great deal. Your muscles will immediately shake, but in the BEST way possible and the instructors and staff are so inviting and encouraging.

I am obsessed with APEX workouts! These machines are like nothing I have every tried before. After only a few classes, I felt so much stronger throughout my entire core, arms, and legs. It has been a long time since I found a workout that leaves my core so sore that I can feel my muscles when I laugh! The classes continue to challenge me and it is so cool to see my progress with all of the exercises each time I step back onto a machine. These are an awesome compliment to my regular yoga practice. Specifically, I am recognizing that my growing strength is translating into better core engagement in my inversion practice. Aside from the physical benefits of the workout, the studio is spectacular, the music is always bumping, and the teachers are incredibly motivating. You should definitely give it a try!
