I joined Bay Area Sports Performance as a 50th birthday gift to myself to prioritize my health and get stronger. Bay Area is a 5-star operation. There are really too many positives to name, but I’ll try. First and foremost, the trainers are awesome - literally every coach takes the time to say hi on your way in and bye on your way out. Ask how you’re doing - it’s a community and it’s genuine. Second - it’s so clean! The trainers whip down equipment as soon as you’re done and members do the same thing. It’s a well oiled machine. Third, the coaches are incredibly attentive.
Speaking of coaches - Mev is an outstanding trainer! As a former D1 athlete, I felt like my understanding for working out and controlling my body was pretty good. But Mev has given me so many great tips, instructions, and detail that have really changed my workouts. Mev does a great job of holding me accountable - both with meal plans and in the workouts.

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE! I'm 54 yrs old.
Life Changing! Really, if you're even thinking about it? DO IT! You will not regret it, (if you just simply follow their lead). My wife started about 7 weeks prior to me with Srdjan @ BASP&F. My wife and I have been married for 25 years and are both back down to the shape we were and when we met. I went from a 38 waist,( I was really 40 but suffered in tight 38's because I didn't want to tell myself I was actually a 40), back down to the size I was in high school at 32 inch waist. I feel as good now at 54 as I did in my early 30s!
I just want to say thank you very much to the crew Bay Area Sports Performace & Fitness, ( Srdjan AKA Serge & RJ). I have been going for over 5 years now simply maintaining. BTW, the time frame in between those two pictures on this post is less than 6 months from start to finish. From 253 lbs down to 188 lbs! Total 63 lbs. And yes. I did get a celebratory tattoo after I got back into shape. And yes I have a whole lot more tattoos now. 😁

I’m a 67 year old woman who joined Bay Area Sport in February. I had worked really hard to lose weight, but, didn’t exercise which of course led to muscle loss. I started training with Bay Area Sports Performance and Fitness about 2 years ago after injuring my shoulder while attending group fitness classes at another gym.
All the instructors at Bay Area Sports are very knowledgeable and have helped me get stronger throughout my recovery. My shoulder is now pain free.
I decided to stay with them because the training is so good.
My current trainer, Mev, is fantastic. He provides a targeted program to help me achieve my goals. He is on point with correcting my form and adjusting the weight to prevent injury. The workouts are always challenging and interesting. I have made consistent improvements since starting here.
I always look forward to coming into the gym and working hard. The atmosphere is friendly and supportive.
This is the best thing I have ever done to improve my strength and fitness. It is a great value and worth every penny. I would recommend Mev and Bay Area Performance and Fitness to anyone looking to level up their training or get stronger after an injury.

Training with Srdjan at Bay Area Sports Performance Fitness has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. He pours everything into his clients—personalizing every session, checking in outside the gym, and constantly pushing me past what I thought were my limits. Best personal training gym in the area! I’ve been working with Karla, and I saw and felt the difference by the end of week 1. The meal plan is doable, and the accountability among all the coaches is helpful to stay on track! She tailors my workouts based on my progress and I truly see it week after week. Highly recommend her! Especially if you are a female and a beginner. The assessment is also very thorough and it was actually interesting to learn more about my own muscular imbalances and how my workout plan/diet aligns with my goals. I am not a beginner but I come from a lot of group fitness and what a difference to have that 1-1 support! They also have group classes now which is great to switch things up! 10/10 ✨

This gym changed my life. I tried many of the other gyms out there. They were all variations of high intensity workouts that I dreaded going to and never saw the results I wanted. This is a completely different experience with custom one on one workouts and a custom DOABLE meal plan. I came to Bay Area Sports Performance and Fitness as a mere mortal, complete with a dad bod and an unwavering love for potato chips. Fast forward a few months, and now I’m basically a Greek god—if the Greeks had invented CrossFit and smoothies.
The trainers here are like fitness wizards, casting spells of motivation, inspiration, and just the right amount of sarcasm to keep you pushing through that last set. Seriously, I didn’t know muscles like these existed, and I’m pretty sure they didn’t until I met the crew here. Now, I’ve got muscles in places I didn’t even know muscles could grow. My confidence is through the roof, and my pants size is dropping faster than my excuses not to work out.
And let’s talk about the workouts—they’re like a rollercoaster of sweat and endorphins. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll question your life choices, but by the end, you’ll feel like you can lift a car (please don’t try, though).

I started going to Bay Area Sports & Fitness August 2019. I weighed 150 lbs., out of shape and in a size 11/12 shorts/jeans. Let’s just say I was miserable.
In 6 months, following Srdjan’s diet and 3 days a week exercising, I lost 25 lbs. and dropped to a size 3 in shorts/jeans! It’s not easy and Srdjan holds you accountable and keeps you in check!
I’m 4 years in with Srdjan, I’m a lifer! I’m holding a size 5 in pants, I sleep amazingly, my stress level has dropped dramatically. It’s not easy, you can’t outwork your diet.
I just know I’m 53 years old and I look and feel like I did in my 30’s. I have energy, and I can keep up with the youngsters! I have 4 grandkids!! I don’t want osteoporosis like my Mom, and I have super strong bones Now! I’m in the pink bikini

I am going on month 3 with Coach Srdjan. I have to say it is to date my favorite place I have ever worked out at. I have been in boot camps, Orange Theory (for years) and even CrossFit gyms but Bay Area is hands down the best. I’ve been doing training with Bay Area Sports for almost 2 months. I work with Coach Hank and he's great!(Along with the rest of the coaching staff!) Hank is patient and listens extremely well. I’ve been injured multiple times outside the gym and I still have made major progress in body weight, and my lifts. Coach is always attentive to my injuries and needs as an athlete. The coaches at this gym are great! There is no judgement from anyone, and a wide variety of people. They create your meal plans and are available via text and call virtually 24/7. RJ and Srdjan take on the "difficult" parts and all you have to do is follow the meal plan and show up to your sessions. I train with Peyton and he has been amazing. I have been working with RJ for a little over 30 days.... strength is up and weight is down!
Even though I knew I needed to go to the gym I just couldn’t get myself there. Having RJ put together a personal plan (both fitness and diet) has really helped me jumpstart towards the goals I have set for myself.
UPDATE: over two years later....
Well I’m sticking with it through thick and thin. RJ and Srdjan have done a great job keeping us all on track even through the couple months COVID shut them down. I’m happy to say they are still kickin it every day!

Knowledgeable, friendly, focused, motivated, and helpful. This place is somewhere I can now call my home. Srdjan and RJ are some of the sweetest and most friendly people I know. They help set you up for success in every way possible, they are very knowledgeable and aren’t going to give you these high expectations or “easy fixes” to get you to your goal.
They push you to be your absolute best with a healthy diet and workouts focused for your specific goals. The biggest thing I have learned thus far, only being here for about a month, is that diet is everything for me and for the longest time I never knew what were the right foods for MY body type. Now that I have been eating healthy I can tell my body has been thanking me and the weight loss just goes to show the hard work put into this pays off.

This is the best gym I have ever been to! RJ and Srdjan are friendly and amazing to work with but more importantly they know their stuff! From the meal plans to making sure that every exercise is done correctly to pushing you to learn to want to do better and to start loving exercise. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing the co owner RJ my entire professional career here in Florida, nearly 6 years. RJ and I worked together at a former company, and not only did I learn many of the skills I needed to better myself and further my career, he taught me the importance of doing right by your clients and providing a service for them that exceeds expectations. I've been a member at Bay Area Sports for 3 months now and it has been one of the best gifts I've given myself. I had mild to severe joint pain in my knees and in my lower back when I began training with Srdjan. Fast forward to 3 months later, I am able to move in ways I didn't think were possible. With the knowledge, meal guides, awesome workouts and MOTIVATION that Srdjan provides, I've lost 20+ pounds thus far. He and RJ are truly masters at their craft. They care about their clients and help kids with their confidence and sport skills every day. I find them both to be passionate, dedicated and hard working individuals and I am happy to be a part of a community who works hard and earns results. Working with Rj and Srdjan has been more than a work out for myself and my two daughters. Thursday nights are fun again , thanks to the support and encouragement of these two experienced and dedicated trainers. Not only have we all made progress toward our physical goals, we've had the chance to bond and enjoy our time together. A high metabolism has always made it incredibly difficult for me to gain any weight, let alone muscle mass. After many failed attempts of bulking up at the gym (even with the assistance of a different personal trainer and a guided diet for 6 months and a net gain of 2 pounds!) I gave up.
However, I decided to give Bay Area Sports Performance and Fitness a try. My Personal Fitness Expert, Rade, gave me a full and thorough assessment. In the first 4 weeks, I gained 3x more than I did in 6 months with the other trainer! I can see muscle shaping and a consistent overall body growth. The best part? I am not having to spend an hour at the gym for 5-7 days of the week. I do about 30-minute workouts 3x a week. That's it.
