This is the sickest hotel gym I've ever seen. DAVID is so nice, showed us around the gym, very helpful. Hidden gem, especially if you like training lower body! I checked out this gym because it is included under my Medicare insurance and it is very close to my house. Very awful gym. There was no attendant at the main part of the gym. It has no central air conditioner, just two portable units. Very hot. Very gloomy. Very small. Impractical hours of operation. Parking is also a problem.
My choices were LA Fitness and Planet Fitness. I have been a member of LA Fitness for over 30 years so I only pay $175/year. I just got a membership with Planet Fitness through my Medicare insurance. So, I'm staying with them.

Let me start by saying the woman at the Front Desk had nothing to do with this review. She was pleasant and nice. BUT... Do NOT use this places tanning salon. It's a super shady set up in a hot humid basement. The guy that answered the phone lied so hard. I asked him if he had the versa spa spay machine and he said that the machine that they had is much better and bought the versa spa. This machine was the oldest, worst spray tan machine I've ever used in the last 20 years of me using spray tans. Not only did it look like it was at least 15 years old, she immediately started by saying that the voice feature that explains what to do does not work anymore. When she explained what positions I was supposed to be in, it was nothing like what she said when the Jets started. To top it off, they're supposed to be a blending cream that they provide and when I went to go use it the bottle was empty. When I went to tell her that it was empty she said oh that's all we have just opened the bottle and wipe it off of the tube. Also, instead of the machine actually drying you off after each spray, you need to stand in front of a fan that they have posted on the wall in order to dry off. As soon as I got out of the machine the spray tan was super uneven. I wouldn't go to this place again even if it was free.

You can tell Fernando, the owner, put a ton of time into finding the perfect equipment because every machine feels amazing to use, unlike other gyms where things are worn out or awkward.

On top of that, they’ve got tanning, red light therapy, and they’re literally right on the beach—perfect if you want to hit the ocean after a workout. I recently had to move and cancel my membership, and they couldn’t have been more fair and helpful. The price is more than reasonable for everything they offer, and the community here is next-level. Everyone’s welcoming, and it really feels like a fitness family.

If you’re looking for a gym in the area, this is the one. Check it out—you won’t regret it.

It’s quite unfortunate that there aren’t many gym options in Miami Beach. This gym has low ceilings many times posing a danger when you are on certain machines. The entrance to the gym needs serious maintenance as there are often roof leaks posing a slip or fall risk. The equipment is outdated but maintained organized. Unfortunately the gym also closes mid day for several hours making it quite inconvenient and inaccessible. The primary highlights include their from desk attendant Daya and one of the Trainers, Shennai . I do hope the sole owner would invest money in the gym to improve the conditions . I’m sure many like myself only go because there aren’t options around . I will note the leg and ab room are spectacular, so if you want legs and abs only, then I would say to try it.

Personal health and appearance is taken very seriously in Miami. After all, the weather in the Sunshine State is just that. Staying in shape is a year round mindset.

I travel regularly for business and I am a member of other gyms that have a national presence. There is nothing like coming home to Miami Beach though and saying hello to friends that I have had the pleasure of knowing for years.

Beach Body Gym, appropriately named for any dedicated local resident, is a special and unique place. Located at the Sherry Frontenac Hotel at 6565 Collins Avenue, it is tremendously equipped for its size. Since it is not as large as other gyms, every piece of equipment counts. That means that no space is wasted on machines that nobody will use. Fernando, the owner and his associate David, my friends, pay very close attention to details that make the difference to me. Equipment that is relevant, carefully positioned and cleanliness. Beach Body Gym always has their equipment in perfect working order. Larger gyms tend to have out of order signs on their equipment for weeks because when you are very big you can afford long repair delays.

There is nothing like that personal touch of being close to the owner of your local gym. Fernando is always interested in your opinion and is regularly sharing his thoughts about what new improvements he has in store.

Fernando and David take their business as serious as I take my personal health. That is the attention I expect that allows me to get in and get it done right.

Dear owner,
Me (16 y/o) and my father were guests of the hotel above the gym and we went to the gym a lot. The gym has old, but amazing machines to cover your workout, so i am happy to train there. Eventually one of the employees talked to us about that you have to be 18+ to train in that gym, even though i have been working out for more than 2 years. We told him that i am already experienced but he wouldn't listen. I get that you have rules you have to obey. But working out with someone that is way more experienced (my father) and me being quite experienced and still not being able to train?
That is a shame. I would understand if you send away a 14 year old kid who doesn't have experience, but obviously this is not the case. Is it possible that you change it to a way that you can train under 18 with someone who is 18+ and experienced? That way people my age would also be able to enjoy the gym. I hope you can do something about this.

If you have just arrived in the Miami Beach area, I recommend that you take a good look at where you place your credit card. This is one of the places that, to be able to train, they ask you for a creditor card and the agreement is for one year, the fee is 100

To 150 with a schedule of 8 (which almost never open on a schedule) until 1pm and then from 4 to 11.

I don't recommend classes for people who are not elderly.

The gym is equipped however there is no natural light the air is very cold or it is very hot the same with the Music or there is no Music or they put heavy metal. Anyway, the

Agreement that they have of not being able to pay cash and the schedule has to be uncomfortable expensive and the neighbors stop going. I don't recommend it for newcomers.

The representatives at the front desk are totally fake ! One of the two walks in with his shoes full of germs inside the spray cabin 🤮🤢
I caught Covid 19 and got seriously Ill 😷 lungs 🫁 and back paralyzed I could not move for weeks so had to cancel my membership as a result since I had been paying my monthly fee for no use . I made a decision to move to Hawaii and he got very nasty and said that two weeks notice was not enough ! Total lack of empathy on his behalf, I was in choc especially during an extreme difficult period of people dying from Covid that year. He now tries to collect money from me with a ridiculous amount not even justified ! This man should be out of business clearly as he does not have any compassion for his guests whatsoever. This is a neighborhood gem! Fernando is so nice everyone who works there is very professional. It’s very clean and Covid restrictions are in place for safety to everyone. I use the spray tanning machines, access is easy staff always helps with the details and it is a great tan ! Very natural. I’m so happy I joined !!

I went to this gym for a month or so paying a package for spinning classes. Then I stopped because the instructor played horrible music (heavy metal). Someone close continued in the gym and decided to pay in advance 6 months. Then a few days ago this respetable person knock the door of the owner of the gym to ask him why the bikes that used to be inside the classroom were outside. This topic escalated because Fernando is one of this defensive guys that instead of hear and take the opportunity to give a better service, decided to be nasty.

He is now upset and he hasn’t stop sending emails to me and this person. He also answered a comment recently with more lies. I would warn you this guy is not stable. He can say all he wants but please, if you are thinking to enter to this gym be aware that here the owner has the right to do whatever he wants.

He guy is saying this person has been for a year in his gym... she was living in another state a year ago. Mr Fernando if you would lie please just be smart enough.

I am not afraid of you, I just feel a big sorrow for your family. Hopefully you can calm down and just do what you have to do now. Refund $390 usd dollars.

I am going to call this message ‘what if’…

As a small business, you should know that ‘the client always has the right’. So what if when my wife knocked your door and ask you a question you would’ve said ‘how can I help you’, or maybe what if you would’ve stood up and just offer your help to move the bike, regardless if you were thinking she was right or wrong. Just because you are the owner of a small business and first of all, is the service and good reputation of your gym. However, the story was different.
I was not there, but I know my wife from many years. I also know myself and in all your emails and messages you wrote several lies.
1. I was not in your gym for 6 months. I only bought a 10 classes pass and maybe I used it in two months (from Feb to Apr 2019)
2. We were never escorted by the security of the hotel
3. My wife was not in your gym for a year. We have been living in Miami for less than a year, and the government knows about that.

So I can continue but for me is enough to know that a person who is so brave to write so many lies without even thinking how easy was to probe you were lying don’t deserve any more energy.
This is for me a great lesson. Next time I would think twice when I recommend a place (my wife decided to go to your gym because of me!). And I always had the feeling that you were not that kind of guy who really enjoy providing a good experience to your clients.
A great business is not the one that has the best in class devices, but the one that understand and care its clients.
Hopefully you also learn a good lesson from this experience.

Awesome Zumba class. I travel for work and am usually disappointed in Zumba classes I find on the road. Not here!! Got a very good workout. The only down side is the space is small and because it’s such a great class it was very crowded.

I'm writing this short review and HIGH PRAISE of Beach Body Gym. I've been a member for nearly a year and overall have had royal treatment from my class instructors, Kim, Alex, David, and Leonard. I've also established a tight bond with my fellow classmates as if we are all "family", and even have picked our class song to be "we are family". The general cleanliness of both the gym and classes is reasonably excellent. Even Fernando, the owner, has begun to get closer and closer to gym operations on a daily and momentary basis. This gym, has an unbelievable and extremely vast assortment of equipment, catering to all types of bodies, from my slim physique through Mr. Universe type of equipment requirements. This week we will have a special training class, sponsored by Fernando, to better familiarize my "family" with not only all the types of equipment, but specifically to show all of us which equipment that each of us should use, but and how to safely, and most effectively, use the equipment. This is only one example out of many, many that I could give to show the "above and beyond" type of warmth that Fernando, the instructors, and "beach body Gym" gives to ALL its members. Fernando, I can't be more thankful for YOUR dedication to making "beach-body" surely the best gym in Miami Beach. I have personally, hand-brought in several neighbors of mine to become active in this gym. This may be the only gym that, in addition to the "muscle-men" type folks, has programs that specifically cater to Seniors, through an extensive "Silver Sneakers Program". Seniors are treated to a free and large assortment of exercise and yoga programs featuring flexibility, stretching, exercise, brain exercises, and strength training to enable our neighborhood Seniors to live a strong, long, safe life here in beautiful South Florida. Fernando, thanks again for your unique dedication to us. You deserve the highest awards imaginable for your help to the community. I'm apologetic for the previous bad review I left........ Everyone's entitled to have a "bad" day and I never meant for my review to ward people off the gym. I will be bringing another of my neighbors to our gym this week and I hope you show her similar "dynamics" to those shown me. Thank you a million times Fernando. Overall I had a great experience with this gym. I was on vacation and looking for a place to workout close by. I found the $15 day pass to be a very fair price. They have a good selection of supplements at the front desk and the weight room has a ton of awesome equipment. They have dumbells up to 150lbs, probably 10 different barbells, three different bench press racks (flat, incline, and decline), a smith machine, a heavy duty squat rack, and the nicest cable cross set up I’ve seen, plus a bunch of other machines. I would definitely recommend this gym! Also if you have trouble finding the gym they have a helpful tour video on their website which helps a lot.
