My daughter started at this gym a couple weeks ago. Her very first class she ended up sick and we had to reschedule. The gym was super accommodating and rescheduled us. Upon my daughter‘s first class once she was better she had Coach Journey. She immediately ran to her. She had the warmest smile and gave a huge hug which helped ease my mind as my daughter’s only three, and I wasn’t sure how quickly she would take to class. She is having so much fun and is very engaged. Following her first class, the coach sent my daughter a personalized postcard, letting her know how great she did which I thought was such a great gesture And a wonderful business practice. Keep up the great work you guys.

We absolutely LOVE Beaches Gymnastics! My daughter has been attending for the past couple of months and she looks forward to every single class. She especially loves Coach Shae! She’s incredible! So attentive, encouraging, and really takes the time to make sure each kid learns how to do the skills the right way. You can tell she truly enjoys being there with the kids and it makes such a difference. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. It’s such a positive environment and we’re so happy to be part of it!

Beaches is such a great place for all levels of gymnastics. All of the staff are absolutely amazing and so helpful with any question you have; big or small. They take the time to really help you find what will work for you and your child. Weekly classes, specific area focused clinics, open gyms on Fridays.... it's really a great place. Open Gym Fridays are especially great because you are able to bring your child in and they get pizza and have the time of their lives while you can go and take a moment for yourself, get an errand done, or a mini date night since the classes last about 2 hours. If you're interested in getting your little one into the sport of gymnastics, I highly recommend Beaches Gymnastics as an option. They even offer a free "try it out" class. What do you have to lose?

I attended a book launch seminar here and was blown away by the kindness of the staff and the owner’s attention she gave to ensure the event went off without a hitch. We moved to Jacksonville over 10 years ago. In 2013 my oldest daughter did a trial at Beaches Gymnastics.The 2nd or 3rd day in she was asked to join the competition team. I think she competed for 4 years and loved it but out grew gymnastics. Now her little sister who is 5 attends weekly summer camps this year and is having a blast. The owner has always been there for us inside the gym and even if we needed help outside the gym. She has a huge heart and does what she can to make sure all children get a chance to experience gymnastics. Most of her staff are girls that were previously competitive gymnasts so they understand how hard it is and the work that is involved in training. Also, they know all the fun games to play from their camp days. I totally recommend Beaches Gymnastics. 🥰

Amazing summer camp and wonderful coaches. The camp is full of fun activities, well organized, and is also a great way to accelerate new skills. Each week has a different theme and new fun activities so the kids always have something fun to look forward to. My daughter is almost 5 and she loves her coaches and looks forward to camp every morning. She made a lot of progress and built new skills within just a few weeks and I’m excited to see all she will be doing by the end of the summer.

My daughter joined the Tiny Tots program just before turning 4; she's about 7 weeks into it and she loves it. The instructors are great and the program is very effective in teaching the fundamentals of gymnastics, balance and coordination while making it a really fun and enjoyable experience. It's play time we look forward to.
We actually held her 4th birthday party at Beaches Gymnastics and had a great time. All the kids had a blast thru guided activities, open play time and of course cake time. The facility and staff was top notch.

My six year old had her birthday party here and it was by far the best birthday experience we’ve ever had! The girls are so attentive, and everything was set up before we even arrived. We were able to choose all of the music that was played, and the kids had an absolute blast! I can’t recommend this place enough for birthdays, and for their amazing gymnastics program as well.

This place is an unprofessional joke. The only thing the instructors are good at is wasting class time. They provide zero personal feedback or attention, or really attention of any kind for that matter, are unskilled and untrained on the subject matter and are just an all-around group of lazy individuals. They are unprepared for class, and never demonstrate to the children how to do anything – my six-year-old daughter has come home multiple times with a sore neck because of teacher negligence. Yesterday my daughter asked her teacher to help her and the girl literally just stared at her, as she passed around someone’s child that gets babysat and more attention than my daughter during my daughter’s class. Not an ounce of technique is being taught, nor is there any sort of accumulation of skills being learned. Most giant waste of time and money that I’ve ever spent.

With a very athletic 8 yo daughter I wanted to make sure to build her core and her confidence thru new skills. Taking the leap to try gymnastics as cross training for dance and soccer, we’ve honestly been blown away at the gift of the community, the professionalism of the staff, the skill and approachability of the excellent coaches, and the steady consistent flow of classes all throughout the facilities. We love Beaches Gymnastics! My daughter loves being here. The facility is relatively new, having opened just before the pandemic, with plenty of room for the gymnasts to practice safely. The equipment is well maintained, and the gym is overall very clean and well kept. My daughter is on the competitive team. The excellent coaching of the physical skills is just the tip of the iceberg. Her skills have in fact improved greatly, but more importantly, so has her confidence in herself. The coaches and the staff at Beaches strive to help the gymnasts grow in all areas of their lives. The focus on mental and emotional well-being in these developmental years is such a great asset to my child. And the kids have so much fun! They make great friends and amazing memories. I am so happy our family is part of the Beaches family!

My child has been a gymnast since kindergarten. When we moved to the beach from Fleming Island, Beaches Gymnastics was recommended to us, and I'm so glad! The atmosphere for team gymnasts is caring and supportive, and the emphasis is on excellence, not medals or podiums. The coaches promote teamwork and training, always with an eye on the bigger picture, which we appreciate.Communication is timely, appropriate, professional, and friendly. There are many recreational, mommy and me, and tumbling classes for anyone who wants to up their cheer game, but it's also a serious gym, for serious gymnasts. We're moving next spring, and the coaches are working on making sure my gymnast is competitive with the larger club she will be joining in South Florida. Our experience with this gym has been nothing but positive.
Two years ago, my child was injured during training, which can happen in ANY sport. The coaching staff handled it brilliantly, like the true professionals they are. Their first priority is safety, and this was made clear in how they handled the situation.
All in all, I would unhesitatingly recommend Beaches to anyone looking for a gym to develop physically as well as mentally.

We travel often from Alabama to visit family in Jacksonville and regret having our daughter miss days or weeks at a time from our home gym when we do come visit. Beaches Gymnastics came highly recommended after doing some research and asking locals in the area about finding a "second home" facility to supplement when we visit two years ago. We scheduled to have our daughter attend a trial class, and then scheduled subsequent drop-in sessions throughout the year so she can continue to train even when we are on vacation. After just her first class, she brought home new skills and the confidence to keep her pressing forward, even showing her coaches back home enough to promote to the next level much earlier than we expected! We now plan to send our daughter for extended visits, especially during the summer and winter breaks from school, instead of just a handful of drop-in sessions throughout the year when we are in the area. Our little gymnast always looks forward to "vacation gymnastics" so she can go home and show off her new skills and even help mentor the others back home!

My daughter started gym when she was 5. She learned the basics and progressed as far as she could go at the gym she was at. That's when we met the staff at Beaches Gymnastics. My daughter learned more in one summer than I could ever imagine. I wasn't sure how she would like being pushed the way that she was and the amount of hours that were required by the new coaches BUT SHE LOVED IT! They get to know each child, their strengths/weaknesses, and their personalities. She has been with them now for 3 years and has grown tremendously. They know exactly how she operates and when to back off. She spends roughly 25 hours a week at the gym and hates to miss one single second. The coaches are very well educated and are qualified to do what they do. Go to any competition and the majority of the girls on the podium are wearing turquoise and black (Beaches), no matter what level you watch. We drive an hour and a half one way 4 times a week to get our daughter to gym- that says it all.
Yes, the waiting room is small and the veiwing windows aren't huge but, your child is there to learn gymnastics, and need as little distractions as possible. If you're looking for a gym that's the real deal without all of the 'fluff', Beaches Gymnastics is your place!

First let me say that my child loved this place and had a good time there. That being said, there were instances where we felt my child was not being watched; the most recent one resulted in us cancelling our membership and not returning to this location. Recently our child went to the bathroom and did not tell the instructors. Because she didn't tell them, she went to the front bathroom which is out front and has direct access to the public. She was in there for a long time with no oversight, and was even yelling for help at one point. We came back to pick up our child, only to find our child in the bathroom with the lights off. Anyone could have walked in from the street, we felt that could have led to a very dangerous situation. Thankfully it didn't, but that lack of oversight was very concerning. I expressed my concern to one of the managers and she was very sincere, concerned and committed to fixing the problem with new policy. She apologized greatly for what had happened, refunded my money, and committed to me in changing the policy so there was oversight for the kids.

We have only being going to this gymnastics center for a couple months, but it is easy to see all the instructors do a good job with the kids. I have found the school to be flexible in working with my attendance days, and no matter what evening I take my daughter, the instructors are high quality given the age of my child(5 years old). Very age appropriate instruction in my case and knowing how to deal with 5 year olds could not be better. This place has surpassed any of my expectations for beginner level gymnastics instruction for my daughters situation. As long as my girl wants to continue with gymnastics, this will be the place we go.

It's great that you can use a 0 rating now because the owners are zeros. Instructors aren't skilled enough to coach competitive girls & aren't patient enough for girls just learning.

Owner is a real piece of work also. We signed a one year contract at $60/month. After the school year I approached him & said we going to do some traveling, could we take July & August off & come back when school started. He said that was fine. After a month I got a bill with a late fee. When I called to remind him of our conversation he said that wasn't his policy & he didn't remember the FACE to FACE conversation that we had!

After sharing my displeasure with the situation & really the overall experience with the gym he said my daughter really wasn't that good anyway. Really dude? She'd been there 4 months and had 3 different instructors including a very nice but unqualified older man in his 60's. My kid is there to try & learn otherwise why do I pay you?

He said he was going to send me to collections & we never went back.

Stay away, do a little research on your own & find a place better. I did.
