Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi is a yoga studio in Miami offering holistic wellness classes consisting of yoga, tai chi, meditation, and breathwork based on 5000-year old Korean traditions. We offer a variety of yoga classes for beginners and more advanced classes to energize and heal the mind, body, and spirit.

The real-life spam that this yoga studio leaves all over Miami is insane. Hundreds of brochures are posted to apartment doors that just end up in the streets as garbage. Can you find another way to advertise that doesn’t involve continuously littering the streets?

I originally was looking for a way to stay physically active and release daily stress when I started at Body and Brain. But, it wasn’t long before I noticed a more profound shift in my mindset. Very pushy on trying to sell packages and membership. Kind of takes away the beautiful energy about this whole thing. Loved the introductory class but then felt like I was being pushed to sign up for classes worth hundreds of dollars in a matter of minutes. Not a good feeling and felt like I was suddenly signing up for a gym membership. I have been to tons of centers and have never experienced this before. Wont be returning for this reason.

Cult.
They are aware of energy work and how it can heal but also be used to manipulate.
Be careful with them trying to sell you packages and tools after they do a healing service or session with you and you are in a vulnerable and euphoric state.
Do your own research on them and look them up before you join.

I am so happy to have found this amazing center. I have been attending class for about 5 weeks and am feeling physically, mentally and spiritually stronger than I was when I first started. I have pretty severe back issues and have been struggling with lots of discomfort. I am pushing myself, not too hard, but enough where I am starting to feel better and the classes are not so taxing. The classes are perfect for me especially that all combine physical, mental and spiritual exercises. I highly recommend Body Brain Yoga Tai Chi. I want to reach those who are going through insomnia with my text and my experience. I have attended 3 sessions between Yoga and Taichi and my body is assimilating the practices so well, that from the 1st class I sleep soundly, and I see how irritability, tiredness and even sadness gradually fade. In addition, although the class is in English, it has been easy to understand the exercises, it seems that for our senses there are no language barriers !!!

I've been interested in Tai Chi for some time and decided to finally give it a try. I came across Body and Brain during a Google search and could not be happier. I found not only a place to learn about and practice Tai Chi and yoga, I found much more. The staff is very professional, yet personable. They are sincerely interested in me, how I'm doing, feeling and how my practice is going. The Center is clean, organized and welcoming. No matter your fitness level, there is something here for you. You'll learn a lot about yourself. I personally love participating in class (with social distancing and safety practices in place) and online. First practice I have found that I really look forward to. Highly recommended!

Update to previous review:
While I was initially very content with the studio and the experience I had to drop my 5 star to two. I found that after time went on I was offered more services for additional fees. These workshops and private sessions were always presented as a benefit to me, to let go of fears, hurts, for self healing. Sounds great, however these were not inexpensive sessions or workshops. I was on my personal journey, so I signed up. After spending more than $5000, I decided it was time to focus on my daily class sessions only (which I paid for upfront for 1 year). That's when I noticed a shift. No more frequent text asking how I was feeling, no more invitations to participate in free classes or workshops, no follow up at all. While I understand it takes funds to run a Center, I also feel like that money was the motivation and that was a red flag for me. Each experience is different, this is my cautionary tale of buyer beware, you might end up spending much more than you anticipated in order to "be well".

This place save my life, I started to go in 2019 , helps me a lot with my anxiety, physical health, depression. All the class are always very different, that's very important for me because I tend to get bored quickly. For me this is an oasis in the world, I love how they combined techniques, not just focusing in the body but brain and soul. A friend showed me a picture of herself in class doing something called belly button healing. I knew in a very general way that I had digestive issues and that my stomach would keep me awake sometimes at night. It just wouldn't calm down. My brain was always "on", even when it didn't need to be. I had also recently had back surgery so I was trying to gradually build up my physical stamina. Well, it is hard to describe the practice but think of breathing, internal organ stimulation, yoga, tai chi, meditation, mild calming practice all rolled into one. Am now doing it online by zoom and have been able to go from one class a week, to three classes a week since I don't have to drive to the center and back and waste a lot of time in my car and getting ready, etc. I just put on my workout clothes and I am ready, in my own living room. It is so easy and user friendly. In addition the instructors are available by text/appt to help you in between classes. There are seminars all the time from other teachers online. I have gotten so much in the way of improved health, peace of mind, inner guidance. Just in case you think this practice is for younger folks only, I am 70 years young and I believe this will be a life long practice for me. You do not have to be a certain "type" to benefit from this practice. I have been to class with all kinds of people and the practice is so individual in terms of all the different benefits it offers. Hard to describe, so just go take a few classes and see for yourself.

I'm absolutely love the classes. They're very unique in a great way. I started the classes after a traumatic experience in my life. My friend in London was the one who told me about it. She shared with me her experience at this location while she was living in the states. I was captivated & moved. I was able to take my first class online(zoom) due to Covid-19. I'm a full on member now & I'm so grateful. It's awesome to be in the presences of instructors that are self aware, spiritual, caring & extremely professional. I enjoyed the class today like I always do. Today I learn that when my body is shaking that means energy is coming down and flowing around. I should accept and embrace the feeling and would not feel discomfort anymore. After the practice, I actually know feel more energetic. give me more shaking !! I need it.

I always was looking for a “Yoga place”, but for one reason or another I never really committed to one; and I think that it definitively happened for a reason. I found, Yoga body and brain … since November 2018, and I love it, there are not only the exercises, which are very appropriate for different levels and ages, it is more than that, the good- relaxing energy that Dariana always creates which makes this place-experience Unique. After class I always feel so GOOD (relax and flexible) that it makes every penny worth it. So, if you are like me that need to improve strength-flexibility, and reduce anxiety and stress, I definitely recommend this Yoga studio. And don’t worry if you are young or “more than 50” we all fit in.

Siempre estuve buscando un "lugar de yoga", pero por una razón u otra nunca me comprometí realmente con uno; Y creo que definitivamente sucedió por un motivo. Descubrí, Yoga, cuerpo y cerebro ... desde noviembre de 2018, y me encanta, no solo los ejercicios, que son muy apropiados para diferentes niveles y edades, es más que eso, es la energía relajante que Dariana siempre crea lo que hace que este lugar-experiencia sea único. Después de la clase siempre me siento tan BIEN (relajada y flexible) que hace que cada centavo valga la pena. Entonces, si eres como yo que necesitas mejorar la fuerza-flexibilidad y reducir la ansiedad y el estrés, definitivamente recomiendo este estudio de yoga. I have been going to this yoga studio since February 2018 and I absolutely love it!!! I was recommended by a friend and I decided to try it. Even though I had gone to other yoga classes before, this class is different. The focus is more on clearing your energy chakras, and improving flexibility. I prefer this form of yoga to other classes that are too intense for me. I definitely feel more relaxed and centered after the class. The instructor, Dariana, is so amazing! I love her energy - she is always so positive, and authentic. Unfortunately my schedule does not permit me to go as often as I would like, but I plan to participate every chance I get. I highly recommend this studio and the classes as a way to improve strength and flexibility and reduce anxiety and stress.

I am eternally greatful to Body&Brain. Here I was able to help myself function again, and be emotionally and mentally well. Of course, I wasn’t able to do this without the guidance of the great instructors there in the daily exercises they provide there and through occasional check-ups they offer when they see that a member is in need.The instructors names are Master Sean and Dariana-nim (Master Dariana). Besides this, the workshops they offer, that provide higher intensity workouts and priceless enlightenment that allows for overall life improvement (mental,emotional,inter-relational, and so on), which, any member that is serious about self improvement should DEFINITELY try. Operating hours are generally great, allowing for most people to enter at the hour(s) that best suit them, depending on work hours, distance from the center, and so on. I honestly recomend this place to anyone, even for people with more common issues as frequent headaches, frequent bodily pains,or even those in need of surgery on a limb. Those that come in hopes of fixing or alleviating those issues aformentioned, usually come in reaping benefits for issues they wouldn’t have realized they had without coming here. Anyway, sorry...I just really love this place.

I came from KUWAIT to train at body and brain.At the beginning i had pain while training so i asked for privet healing sessions.I thought that it will not be enough for me because i had limited time. I am surprised that i felt improvement after second session. I feel i can go through my pain to strengthen my self after my 4th session. I am enjoying my improvement.

Despues de recivir tratamientos de quimoterapia, empese a sufrir de dolores en todo el cuerpo, mucha deprecion y anciedad. Despues de buscar, encontre en internet Body & Brain, y puedo decir que todabia no tengo un mes y me he sentido mucho mejor! Ultimamente, no eh tenido que usar calmantes para el dolor despues de las sesiones de sanacion que recibi aqui. Todabia estoy usando la quimo en pastilla, pero con un poco menos de sufrimiento. :)

After receiving Chemotherapy, I started having a lot of pain in my body, depression and anxiety. After searching online, I found Body & Brain and it hasn't even been a month and I feel much better! Lately, I haven't even had to take my pain medicine after receiving healing sessions here. I am still taking chemotherapy but with much less suffering. :)

I owe everything to Body and Brain Yoga. Before coming to Body and Brain I was hopeless and pain ridden. After spending thousands of dollars on MRI's and Physical Therapists (to no avail) I was introduced to Body and Brain. After a few weeks of classes my pain slowly started to disappear, after 6 months of coming to Body and Brain my pain is almost gone. For 7 years I constantly struggled to find a solution and now I finally have. I owe my life to Body and Brain Yoga and could not imagine living without it. For a long time ( about 30 years) I worked as a general manager of a company and during that time I abused my body. Without taking rest, without sleeping enough, and working 7 days a week. With time my condition got so bad that I had to go to the doctor and the doctor told me either I leave my job or I will die. But because of other circumstances that happen in my life I took the decision of leaving my job and dedicate myself to some family members that needed me. Until one day out of nothing I felt that all my body was so weak my inner strength seem to had disappear, I felt so bad that I had to go to the hospital on emergency. At the hospital they told me I had nothing. I went back home and I was ok for another 6 month. But my sleeping habits got worst and worst and I had to go to the hospital again. This time they gave me medication, this medication would make me urinate every 5 minutes and my body felt very cold. I started having negative thinking and my mind was only focused in the pain in my body. The the doctor started to give me medicine for all the different pains I had. My blood pressure, sugar levels, cholesterol was high, my whole organism was failing. I was taking so much medicine but my condition got even worst, I started having panic attacks and anxiety, I went to the physiatrist and he gave me even more medicine. Obeying the doctors taking all this medicine I felt I was getting worst and becoming dependent on medicine. Everything was pain, I lost my appetite and I started having suicidal thinking. One day I decided to throw away all the medicine and started looking for answers in spirituality. And after much research looking for answers different ways one day driving by a street and like a message from God I saw a sign for healing chakra and that’s how I find Body & Brain. After the very first session I felt like the sun rose within me. I immediately decided to sign up. I knew that I need to heal myself first to be able to face life again. Two weeks after of the exercises and healing sessions that fear and panic disappeared almost 95% And now I see life in a more positive light and with hope. Now I want to go further in my spiritual life and give my body and my spirit what I denied for 50 year. I feel so much happier, positive and optimistic toward others too . Thank you Body & Brain and all the instructors for all your caring help!

First class I went I thought it was a little weird, but as I kept coming I realized that the teachings you get from the class make a lot of sense and the exercises work in a deeper way than just physical. The teachers make you feel at home and you can feel a sense of community with the other people that come into class. And the tea that they give you at the end of the class is delicious! If you give it a try for a week or even better a month you will want to stay :)

I have been a member of Miami Body and Brain Holistic Yoga Meditation Tai Chi & Healing Breathing for months now and I have witnessed how my body has improved and my health condition has generally benefited from this great practice. Being a nurse I deal with a lot of stress and the healing masters at this place have taught me the techniques to deal with it and be able to live a better life. It has also improved many of my health related issues, I suffer from back pain and TMJ and the pain has greatly improved from coming to class and from the private healing sessions.
