Camp has gone downhill and slowly will just become like another gym. Nothing special . Nothing crazy.
Instructors are leaving for a reason?

Pilates teachers are great
No cycle is a bummer for the price point . Not cool.
Studio(s) are super gross. Floors/mats are not properly cleaned between classes.
Constantly seeing sweat from class before.
The circuit room is dirty !!!!! Yikes

Here to report back that nothing has been acknowledged nor done. You pay all this money and you’re expected to clean your equipment with one little disinfecting wipe.
The studio is gross and it smells
For the price point, I wish they offered like cold towels or something after or cleaning the equipment lol
Wash your hands after class

I took class with Brielle and absolutely loved it! Her flows were amazing and challenging, her cues were perfect, and her options for modifications made it so movements were easy for all to follow. You can really tell that she cares about her craft and truly advocates for listening to your body and only taking what you need. The staff at the camp yoga center were also very nice, studio was cleanly, and I will definitely be back!

I felt extremely uncomfortable after seeing multiple TikTok videos posted by one of your coaches, Ali R. The content felt discriminatory toward people who don’t share her political views, and it’s upsetting to know she represents this gym so openly online. I go to a gym to focus on my workout — not to feel judged or divided. It’s very weird to watch her spew such hatred if you disagree with her views. Working out and politics have nothing to do with each other. It’s unprofessional and disappointing that a coach would publicly post this kind of content while associating it with her workplace, and even worse that the gym seems to tolerate it. A fitness environment should be inclusive and focused on health, not politics.. will never take her class again.

Alicia is absolutely amazing! She’s welcoming, kind, and polite, and she explains every exercise so clearly. She always has the brightest smile, and from the moment I met her, I felt like she could be my BFF. I truly adore her! Her classes are so good they’re usually on a waitlist, but whenever I can snag a spot, I’m there—because I know I’m going to get an incredible workout and see real results. She’s simply the best!

I couldn’t recommend CAMP Tampa more! They offer such a wide variety of classes that keep every workout exciting, and every trainer is an expert who knows how to push you in the best way. You actually want to show up here — the energy and community they’ve built are unmatched. The customer service also goes above and beyond, making every visit a great experience. Truly the best gym in Tampa!

Showed up two min late for a class and they let a wait lister (who didn’t sign up prior) take my spot because I didn’t call ahead. Been to camp many times before and never heard of this policy at all as I’ve been told multiple times that there’s a 5min grace period. Really disappointing. Won’t be back for a while

I thought about backing out of Pilates 5 times after driving all the way to camp. Legitimately. I’m hurt and wanted to rest. I was in the lobby 3 minutes before class asking chatty (chatgpt) what I should do (I don’t make any decisions for myself anymore)

I ended up taking (body dysmorphia and low self esteem) and it am happy I did. The program was legit. 10/10. Juicy butt pump. Core burn. And- I loosened up some kinks in my body. Not to mention it’s the first time I’ve breathed all day.

The best of the best when the subject is yoga. I have tried many place but there is nowhere like camp. The instructors have freedom to bring their personalities to the classes and each class in unique. The instructors pick enlightening music, the flows are so fun and I wouldn't change anything about the whole experience. Even though the room is hot it does not feel claustrophobic, because the big windows high ceilings and fans. They play instruments and are always open for suggestions as well as for answering questions. DO NOT THINK TWICE, give camp a try. I absolutely love to be part of this community

What an awful establishment, this place used to be something to look forward to when I woke up, now it’s a dread. The change in management and the rebrand of CAMP has been terrible even with the removal of the “Let that shit go” sign they seem to have let themselves go. The removal of multiple classes that were favorites to us all and the corporate greed that looms over every CAMP member. Don't speak out about it though because they will just delete your comments and try to cover it up. This used to be a fantastic place with an even better community now it’s just some cooperation that only thinks of money and the 2 percent profit margin they're so desperately trying to fill up.

I used to love this place. I joined way back in early 2017 not long after it opened. I was a ride or die Campr. I left Florida for a few years, but came back to Tampa and the thing I was most excited about was CAMP. Cycle and yoga were what originally held my heart at camp. Then I discovered stations. So that became a religion too. And after moving back, I became so obsessed that I was basically a CAMP ambassador. But things quickly became a different picture for me. After they opened Camp LA, and Jen and Jamie moved out there, it slowly became obvious that they were trying to turn Camp Tampa into Camp LA. Then Tiffany and Leigh helped promote that vibe even more. The various “upgrades” and remodels slowly solidified that intent. The cycle studio got a whole remodel and went from being a fun, welcoming, club vibe, to a total corporate boutique cycle studio aesthetic with no fun vibe at all. Then more and more things started shifting. The awesome instructors started turning over, and more and more it was an aura of really catering to the south Tampa housewife and high end has money clientele. Camp has become a total boutique bougee fitness studio that really has no interest in a diverse client base nor a vibe that’s welcoming to all. The only thing that stayed mostly consistent, aside from the remodel, was cycle. And then they drop a bomb out of nowhere that they are taking that away, and replacing it with Pilates, which again is that boutique south Tampa bougee crowd. Tossing the cycle program, and the AMAZING instructors out like Sunday's trash. All the while, promoting the new Pilates studio on their socials before cycle was even gone. Absolutely no regard for their loyal cycle community nor the cycle instructors who poured their blood sweat and tears into making a home for so many of us. And knowing that some of their leadership team has blatantly made comments like “I don’t care what the community thinks”…… Well congrats Camp squad, you’ve achieved what you set out to achieve. Your client base is the uppity snobby crowd that your whole leadership team is. Hope it was worth it.

I used to go to CAMP religiously, it was hands down my favorite part of my day. The instructors are great and I enjoy the variety of classes offered. I took some time off and decided to come back a few months ago after debating if the membership was worth it, although excited to get back into it, I was bummed about the insane price hike and having to sign a contract for a full year for the unlimited membership??? To make matters worse, three months into my membership, they cancelled all cycle classes! Cycle is/was a big part of why I loved camp, I was hooked from my very first class. Anyway— now I’m locked into a pricey membership for 9 more months without cycling. Not worth it. :(

It’s incredibly disappointing to see a business that claims to care about community and wellness act in such a contradictory way. They don’t practice what they preach, not with how they treat their members or instructors, and certainly not with how they handle communication. To be clear: the instructors are amazing. They’re the reason so many of us stuck around as long as we did.
But the ownership? A different story. Prices are extremely high, and you’d expect a level of professionalism and transparency to match but instead, major announcements (like ending their BELOVED cycle program) are made only on Instagram, with comments turned off to avoid backlash. No email. No direct communication. Just silence.
To make matters worse, when people tried to express their frustration in the comments, they went on to delete all the comments related to the cancellation of cycle on other posts. This kind of behavior feels incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful to paying members who have supported them.
It’s obvious the community and staff aren’t a priority to leadership. This place has become more about image than integrity and unfortunately, it shows.

Camp used to be a second home to me. I took two classes almost daily. As of late I’ve been super disappointed at the turnover of instructors, it seems when they opened the LA location they’ve left Tampa on the back burner. Because of this I decided to cancel my membership, I just wasn’t happy with the constant changes. Was hoping to attend a few classes using ClassPass, but now they barely allow ClassPass members to attend their classes. Now they announced that they will not offer Cycle classes anymore which is a huge disappointment. Cycle was the first class I took at camp! That room was therapy for so many including myself. They recently got 5 new instructors and now there’s no more cycle???? I hope they at least put the cycle classes back up on ClassPass so I can support the instructors in these last two months!

I’ve been trying out new classes like Pilates which was great but my true love will always be Spin. Alex is my guy and get excited to get my butt kicked on Mondays. I could never get into Ellie’s classes bc she’s always booked but I can see why she has a cult following. Summer and Bella on Sundays have awesome playlists and can’t wait to dance it out. CAMP is a fitness lover's paradise. There's such a positive energy and vibe in every class I take there and there are SO many to choose from. You can be as zen as you want to with yoga or sound healing to getting gritty and lifting with Hustle. Spin is also very fun and high energy and a great sweat.

I always love and enjoy Alisha's Hustle Classes on Saturdays. She has the most positive, fun, kind energy and she makes the workouts challenging and doable. I love the way she remembers and wants to know names, celebrates bdays, new people, all the things. She makes us feel so welcome, warm and supported as she kicks our ass with a great workout. Alisha is what the energy of CAMP is all about. Oh.. and her playlist is fire!

If you like working out without the energy of judgment or comparison - but just great vibes and a workout that challenges you or relaxes you - ya gotta come to CAMP, boo!

I enjoyed Camp Tampa while I was a member there. My membership ended several months ago, yet they continue to bill me each month. When I email the (typically very responsive) support email each month following the charge to ask why I’m still getting charged after they confirmed that my membership has ended, I receive no response. It’s a huge annoyance to have to dispute this charge month after month.

All to say - instructors/classes here are awesome, but if you join as a member and end your membership according to the terms of the agreement, you may be PERPETUALLY billed. I wonder if anyone else is going through the same experience.

I joined in 2018 as I was looking for a “cardio” style gym. Camp Tampa only offers classes. There are no separate weights or machines to simply go work out. Very active otherwise, and my condo having weights, “Camp” served well my desire to supplement with additional cardio 1-2X a week. I always purchased the “block” of classes during their 2x a year specials, typically about $12 a class (buying 20 or 30). I also frequently purchased the 10 pack “off peak” classes, those at $10 apiece.

Shocking and insane how expensive (and greedy) they got. A monthly rate with bells and whistles now comes to around $3,100 a year; $2,500 if only whistles. That’s a vacation for crying out loud, including extra desserts. Block glasses are now $23 per for a pack of 30, $25 for 20 (a tad less during sales).

When they eliminated the “off peak” classes a couple of years ago I sensed doom.

Instructors are generally very good, and the classes, studios, and grounds are nice, as is the app to schedule (though parking can be a nightmare). But meaningless if astronomical fees. I’m not paying +$200 monthly, nor a lot for a block. Belonging to various gyms for decades (almost all have folded), spending around $40-$75 a month is reasonable. Paying almost half the cost of my first mortgage is not.

Crazy that folks are paying those absurd prices for a gym. Buy a nice pair of sneakers and jog on Bayshore :-) But it’s their money.

I emailed Camp of the extreme price increases. Got a weird, dismissive, and snarky reply from the smug GM. (Think: “Let them eat cake!”) He apparently skipped the “customer relations” class in business school.

If affordable I’d give 5 stars. But the looney prices drop its rating.

I used up my block classes and will join a popular yoga studio where can buy a block that comes to $11 per, and have money leftover for stuff…like a cruise.

Honest review Feedback
Let me start by saying something about me: I am originally from Colombia/venezuela. I did discover this special feeling you experience through exercise at my early age of 9 since my mom was an 80’s fitness instructor so I spent most of my spare time w her in the aerobic room😌I loved it.. So I can say I am addicted to working out…since then and as an adult I got the privilege to train with the best personal trainers in Caracas. When I moved to USA I was constantly looking for good trainers/ group classes..Then Covid did hit and I felt lost! Then someone crossed my path who recommended me Camp and I felt saved 🙌🏼. Since day one I was hooked! The environment is very positive. The staff at front are sweethearts who greet you with a big smile every time. The instructors are elite trainers! All the classes are top notch that will focus on wherever your needs or likes are. A big shoutout to: Brennan , Sam , Andrew, Alyssa, Sammy, Alysha, Lance, Connor, Alex J, Glenn, Josh, Matt, Jeffrey!! Yoga: Kim, Jessica, Luc, Jairod, Megan. Cycling: Monet, Elle, Summer… All of the Camp trainers are outstanding professionals who really care about giving the best possible on each class with a lot of positive and encouraging energy. Thank you 🫶🏼Camp! Happy 8th Anniversary 🥳

CAMP is awesome. I take classes 4-6 days a week. The entire staff from check-in to the coaches are great. I see a lot of complaints regarding people wearing "brand name work out clothes" or feeling out of place. Having been a member for several years, I am unsure where this is coming from. The camaraderie is amazing, the coaches always introduce themselves to new people. I would recommend coming in with a good attitude and focusing on the workout and experience rather than what people are wearing. There are all kinds of people in class from athletes to beginners. Do not allow yourself to be intimidated, be motivated! If fit-shaming or skinny shaming is already in your daily attitude then you will not have fun. We are all there to better ourselves and these coaches push you to challenge yourself and keep things fresh and inventive. Regarding the wait list, in my 5 years as a member I have only not made it off the waitlist twice (and sometimes I am #20 on the list!). Considering this has only happened 2 out of almost 800 classes it seems like pretty good odds to me...

Come in ready to work, have fun, have a good attitude, talk to people, talk to your coach before class if you need modifications and they'll help you! I love coming here and highly recommend this place to anyone, regardless of level of athleticism. $200 a month unlimited is on the higher end, but the quality is there and it is 2024, things are just more expensive these days, do you really expect them not to adjust with inflation?

CAMP, thank you for helping me reach my goals and inspiring me to be my best. Xo

Whenever I’m in town I’m always going to CAMP. It’s great because they have 5 studios all in one place. So you get to mix up your workouts which I love doing! They offer yoga, yoga sculpt, mat Pilates, stations, circuit, and cycling. The staff is amazing and the people that come in to workout are awesome too.

I bought a class for the first time, arrived at 3:33pm for the 3:30pm class. in addition to not having received any instructions about which building the classes would take place in (they have 3) the class was full and there was no space left. Remembering that I paid for the class. I do not recommend this place.

I went to Camp Tampa for the first time, and the staff couldn't be any sweeter. The cycling instructor Bella was fantastic and made you feel right at ease. There are a few campuses, and one of the staff members will give you a tour. Everything felt clean, organized, fun, and youthful. I will definitely check out more classes!

I went here to try a yoga class & loved it! Great challenging workout. Not the most meditative or flow to it, but more of a focus on improvement in yoga postures, feel good movements, and sense of group workout rather than a mindfulness practice. I guess it depends on how you decide to view it for that aspect. I have been to a few different yoga studios in Tampa, and I do think this one has space to improve the flow of the class. There needs to be a balance between providing a challenge but also not losing mindfulness/peace to it.

If you are looking to focus on improving movement & strength yoga wise, this was a great class. I felt the way that the instructor taught the class was difficult to hear, and you could notice that everyone had to rely on looking at others in order to figure out what to do next. I have had better instructors where this issue does not occur. It was an issue that seemed prevalent throughout the class. As someone who does yoga often, I was able to figure out the postures the instructor was saying, but it might not have been very beginner friendly (although I think the info on the class said beginners welcome)

It might help to practice how to say the instructions in a way that doesn't break the focus of the class. When everyone is stopping to look around or waiting to move once they see what others are doing, it makes the overall movements too quick and doesn't allow the participant to fully sink into their mindful peaceful or focused state that you would want to achieve in a yoga class.

It could have been due to the class being so large, and if that is the case maybe they can value quality over quantity in the future. Other than that - I do think it was an average to great class. The check in process was super simple, we did arrive pretty much right on the dot & were able to still attend because of how quickly they checked us in - thank you!

I had never been here before but got the lovely opportunity to attend a yoga class on Sunday morning while I was visiting Tampa. This place is wonderful, the energy you get from the moment you pull up to the fitness emporium vibes it provides; 110% would recommend this place to all fitness junkies or even to the folks that just want to get active!

Absolutely obsessed with this AWESOME place! The last time I remember enjoying these activities truly was at Camp. 😉 They have nailed the concept and I look forward to (vs dreading) going in the mornings. I should have joined years ago (and I am NO gym Guru, BTW), but grateful I'm a CAMP'R now! 😊

Super friendly, helpful staff and the Coaches/Trainers are fantastic! They are supportive and inspirational! The entire CAMP Team is excellent and I would highly recommend this fabulous facility to ANYONE... younger, older, experienced or green! Enjoy and cheers to good health and happiness all around from Clarissa of South Tampa and Reeves Import Motorcars. 😁

I have been going to camp Tampa for a little over a year now and I can say I have never taken a class that I didn’t enjoy. All of the instructors are energetic and motivating. No matter your fitness level any camp class will give you a great work out. I have revived my love for fitness and I have so many camp instructors to thank for making me feel like myself again. Thank you Danielle, Summer, Melody, Stephen, Glen, Parker, and Jack. You’ll never know what impact you’ve had on my daily life. Special thanks to Jeff because his class is what got me hooked! The only critique I have is that I wish there were mirrors in the sculpt room because my body awareness is lacking! Haha!

Camp is hands down the best gym I have been to in any city. The instructors are not only kind and passionate, but also create a personalized experience for every participant. It's impossible to get bored with the variety in both time and classes that they provide. The hot yoga and circuit classes are a must, but you can't go wrong with any class you choose. I have been attending Camp since it opened and look forward to continuing my fitness journey there!

My absolute sanctuary! I started in July and have been taking classes almost every day since! I needed to try something new, get out of my comfort zone, and show some love to my body after being unconditioned and stressed with graduating college in the heat of covid!

Your vibe attracts your tribe and my soul is filled to the brim after classes with Monet, Summer, Laura, Danielle & sweet Jack! They add such depth to their teaching and create a transformational experience for their campers. I train and teach at other studios in the area, but could never imagine a life without my camp!

I have always preferred workout classes over going to the gym (I need the extra motivation) and I have tried quite a few different studios - boxing, cycle, barre, pilates, etc. I usually last about 3 months before I grow bored of it. CAMP is different!! I have stuck with CAMP since they offer so many different kinds of classes - all for one membership. I can mix it up all the time and never get bored. The classes are fun and the instructors are all great. Can't recommend it enough!

CAMP is by far the best gym I have ever been to! I started going to CAMP the week covid hit in March and I could not wait for it to open back up. Everyone there is so friendly and caring. They truly care about your fitness journey and making it the best possible experience along the way. I love every single studio at CAMP and often have a hard time picking which type of class I am going to take. Stations, Circuit, HIT, Yoga, Cycle...they all are amazing! I use to take classes at Orange Theory for the same monthly cost and can not believe how much more CAMP has to offer! CAMP is truly one of my favorite places to be!!

If you want a challenge, Camp is the place...Instructors are phenomenal and workouts are hard.. Rumors are that this is only a place for the fit young beautiful people ( and there are a lot of them) and so at the age of 62 I never planned to go till a friend gave me a 20 pass plan for Christmas...I was a member of Orange Theory and loved it but was bored with the routine work outs every day... I started at Camp to use up my 20 pass plan and have renewed with unlimited classes every month since.. The staff knows your name , the fellow campers are friendly and encouraging, and the instructors are top of the line.. I don't think I can ever leave Tampa because of my addiction to Camp..

CAMP Tampa is by far the best gym I have been to in Tampa. I moved here from New York City almost 2 years ago ... so I have experienced a lot of different gym facilities, group fitness classes and workouts. What I love the most about CAMP Tampa is that it isn’t just a gym it’s a community...
Every day they have an enormous amount of classes with a wide variety of options - from Boot Camp to spin classes to high intensity interval training to relaxing yoga to meditation. Truly camp Tampa is your one stop shop for all of your fitness needs.

I’ve been to other gym facilities such as Orange Theory, Cycle bar, SoulCycle and TrueGrit Fitness but there is NO comparison when it comes to the variety of classes that camp offers and also the extremely high quality instructors.

I am at CAMP TAMPA daily. I love that the instructors know me now and I can post things on social media and communicate with them ; it makes classes a lot of fun. I have made a lot of like-minded friends at camp and I just love it so much I could go on and on but I’ll leave it at the fact that you HAVEEEE to come check it out!!! I love camp!!!!!!
