We played your course yesterday, and I’d like to start with a positive—the greens were in excellent condition and truly enjoyable.
We had an early tee time, and the starter mentioned there was some kind of organized game taking place. He informed us that the last tee time for the back nine was around 9:30. However, when we made the turn at approximately 9:40, we found the 10th tee box backed up like a parking lot, with two groups already waiting and our group joining the queue. This led to a frustrating and unpleasant back nine, as we spent most of it standing around and waiting. At one point, there were four groups on a single hole.
It’s hard to understand why this game format is allowed to run through both the front and back nines on a Sunday morning. My suggestion would be to limit the game to the front nine only, to avoid disrupting regular play on the back.
Unfortunately, due to this experience, we’ve decided not to return to your course.

I received an email from Capri isle that the big summer card would be good until the end of January.

Staff was very friendly, but the worst pace of play I have ever seen. There are leagues Saturday morning that will add an extra hour at least onto your total time. Tee times seem to be lined up too closely together. For the price, this course definitely needs to improve.

Excellent service from ALL of the staff, especially the starter. I’m an out of towner and chose a course close to the area and was not disappointed. As others have said, it is a very “tight” course. Not a lot of space outside of the fairways, there are several holes that have lines of houses that are literally 10 yards away from the fairway. Fairly short in my opinion, so I think that kind of counteracts how close the out of bounds lines and houses are. Overall, was a great course and had a blast playing it yesterday. Starter (thick Massachusetts accent) deserves a gold star- he was amazing and made the time before you tee off very enjoyable.

Nice course... if you want a good old fashioned golf course with plenty of shade this is it. Tee boxes are all nice places to escape the sunlight for a few minutes. Basically $100 for 18 and a cart... like most of the others. Play was a little slower than some places but I like it that way. Give it a try... you won't be disappointed.

Hope this review helps out of towners, do not golf here if you can't hit the ball dead straight every shot. I'm not a bad golfer but one errant golf ball which would normally be in the rough (really isn't a rough) will land you in the neighbors yard, roof or broken window..... yikes

Fun course, a variety of tight fairways w/hazards on some holes & open long fairway to drive on others. It's It's a good beginner/ Intermediate course. Well groomed, greens are solid. Good play all around. Nice staff! Grab a Tee time.

No rangers out in th he afternoon to ensure that the slow golfers move ahead. It should NOT take 3 hours to golf 9 holes. Two slow groups ahead of us.... nothing ahead of them.

the start time between groups is 7 minutes which is not enough. it should be at minimum 8 minutes. our start time was 10 minutes behind and play got slower. it took over 3 hours to play 9 holes...

Very nice staff. My first time playing this course. Greens are very well maintained. Moderate difficulty course that is inexpensive to play compared to others in the area. The gators seem to be friendly.

Capri Isles is one of the nicest courses I’ve played at. The property is beautifully maintained, the views are spectacular and the local wildlife that share the fairways offer any golfer a truly unique experience.

We came here on a whim during vacation so we could say we’ve finally golfed in Florida (Michiganders here lol) and Rosie and Mike were amazing! So helpful, gave us tips on local beaches and eateries and the rentals were “par for the course” 😂 can’t wait to return on vacation and golf here again. The course was beautiful and the grounds crew were a delight and I personally played my best round ever 👌🏻

Disastrous experience for my wife and myself. Called for tee time and could only get nine holes reservation because of leagues even though on line tee times showed availability. Got to course and Nick said I should have never been given a 3:10 tee time by Mark because women already teeing off before us causing us to go off back nine. Driving range was mats only. Practice green and all course greens had been aerated and sanded...barely playable and we were never told at time of reservation or check in. Charged full amount for nine holes and cart for poor green play, large areas of ground under repair for fairway aeration. Charged $10.00 more for nine holes than Sarasota National charged for 18 holes when they had aerated their greens. Worst golf experience in Venice and surrounding area. Choose any other course.

Fairways are very narrow with out of bounds and water hazards on both the left and right side of most holes. Some fairways are crowned and sloped towards water. Tough course!!

Just a dreadfully awful experience. We showed up for our time and there were 5 full groups on the first tee waiting. We asked why the delay, and were told they booked 1 minute spacing to take advantage of the influx of visitors. We played 9 holes on over 3 hours and gave up. Plus the course was in terrible condition. I would rate it 0 stars if that were an option.

The course is easy to play, you will not lose a ball on every swing. It is an average course in difficulty and maintenance. Range is limited up 200 yards. We played on a Saturday afternoon in just under 4 hours.

Played the other day. Great shape and greens have recovered from sanding. The greens are fast and smooth. Good selection of tee boxes and I played form #1 box. Bring water with you, also. I played early and we played in 3 hrs. Great people there always ad being safe on their part also.

We love this country club ,the course is lovely, well kept beautiful greens that are fast . Really nice club house a small pro shop but adequate. Plenty of free parking . The golf carts are well kept and clean .I always have to use the course bathrooms and I have to say they are always clean . And the toilet paper,paper towels are always in plentiful supply. I highly recommend this course we usually go off around 3:00 at that time you only have to wait a few minutes before starting . There is always more groups going off behind us. So it's a popular course.it is usually $25 to golf.
