Great for the most part. The music needs to be better or lower so we can listen to our own music at a lower volume. I wish they had a location at High Springs or Alachua. They'd do better than anytime fitness as far as pricing.

They're always missing something and they keep it all by the service counter. They're missing the hip thrust machine's padding that helps you avoid bruises on your hip bones and they're always holding onto ankle straps for the cable machines. I don't want to walk all the way down stairs after a leg workout to grab the ankle straps they can't keep upstairs.

1) The photos showing Bailey's Health & Fitness need to be removed. They're misleading since it is Chuze Fitness now.

2) İ updated the opening hours. They are NOT 24/7.

3) İ went there with a friend two day ago at 4:02 PM to get some information since İ was considering to sign up.
They simply told us that they were closed and that we should scan a QR code that linked us to an app, not a website.
İ understand that they wanted to go home but they didn't have to shoo us away like that, not even bothering to ask what kind of information we were looking for.
No "What can we help you with?", just "We're closed. You can scan this QR code.".
That was 2 minute after closing hour at 4pm..

I love Bailey's. It's a solid gym, and I can easily find the equipment I need without waiting. No gym-bro vibes even though there are super experienced lifters and gym goers there. The equipment is well-maintained and clean, and the sauna and changing room are excellent. Always a welcoming environment when I walk in the door at 6 am, a hello and a smile, and responsive staff. The price is perfect for my budget, and the hours accommodate my crazy life! I love the place; my two sons and daughter also go to Bailey's! Glad the buyout (Chuze) didn't change the place.

You can go there at whatever level of fitness (or lack of). Basic and premium packages. Even basic is good. Basic includes locker and showers, they have arobic and free weights, and treadmill/bikes, with a healthy selection of all. I've never had to wait for anything. They even have a sauna, sorry no free swim pool. Staff is always friendly, couple call me by first name, not because I'm independently wealthy, just because they are friendly and I say hello back. ( Simple courtesies go a long way in this world.) If you have questions about equipment or routine staff is always available. Trust me I know from repeated experience. Don't hate on me, I did say lack of fitness. LOL

They keep adding fake fee’s. You almost need a lawyer to get break their contract with you. They wouldn’t let me out of my contract and put so many fee’s it went on my credit. I was all paid up when I tried to break the contract. They refused to stop charging me and my bank band them twice for tried illegally pulling money out of my checking account.

Very friendly and welcoming. I had the chance to drop in while I was in town for work, and I genuinely wish that they expanded to Michigan, where I’m from.

The attention to detail and customer service was excellent. The manager was very kind and even noticed that the cable machine I was using was squeaky and decided to handle it on the spot to get it fixed.

Just a bit more expensive than PF, but you really do get what you pay for and really is reasonable. Plenty of free weights, machines and cardio on two different floors. Also love the turfed room for kettlebell, calisthenics, yoga etc. Sauna after a workout and then a shower before work will change your life.

Nice gym and friendly staff.. I must say it’s frustrating that you aren’t allowed to have your gym backpack.. for serious lifters it’s a big inconvenience. They want you to run back-and-forth to the locker room to get what you need from your bag. This isnt kindergarten we should be allowed to have our bag with us. I would also love to see them upgrade their water fountain. It’s the old school type you had in elementary school. But I will say all of the staff have been really nice.

This is a great gym if you're into lifting weights, as they have a good number of free weights, squat and deadlift platforms, machines, and benches. The turf room is nice as well. I usually go in the morning when the gym is pretty quiet, but since it's in a college town the gym can get busy at weird hours from the students, such as 12 - 2 PM. If you are a student though, this gym is almost always less busy than Southwest Recreation Center. It's also not as nice as some of the newer and bigger Bailey's in Jacksonville, but for Gainesville it works just fine!

I have been working out in this gym since I moved in Gainesville for 10 years now. At first I membered in one of the Gym of the city but I figured Bailey’s is enough for me and monthly fee is very economical. I like the arrangements and the number of the equipment and machines and their ration with the people who gym there, as compared with the gym I tried out for few days. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The only thing that I don’t like is their very weak wifi😂😂😂 other than that the gym is great

Horrible gym and environment. The staff is friendly but there are some terrible people who workout there, Gainesville in general has a high crime rate, crowded gyms and no real activities. I don’t recommend joining this gym at all. The bathrooms are always dirty, broken machines it’s crowded and certain people are terrible. Watch out for a bald white guy who workouts there he is not a good person to have around in the gym.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES JOIN THIS GYM. If your contract runs out they will still charge you with no notice/ if you try and cancel they will not process your cancellation, if you finally get it done they will charge you again because it was 1 day after the cutoff. Their corporate office number is not real, emails are not answered, communication is non existent. The one thing you can always count on is they will try and send you to collections any chance they get and add extra fees. As for the actual gym, old and broken equipment. If you ever have the chance to visit the locations in Jacksonville you will be disgusted with what Gainesville provides paying customers.

My membership was supposed to be cancelled in October 2021 after my contract was expired. They have ridiculous cancellation policy to begin with and make it difficult to do. I spoke to the Gainesville gym who then referred me to corporate and spoke with them never got a name however unfortunately. I was told my membership would be cancelled as of October because my September bill had already collected.
Fast forward to now, I changed banks and get an email about nonpayment?
Turns out there is "nothing on file" regarding my cancellation, and I have been paying for a membership that I have not used for 2 years. I have been trying to cancel since I moved but had a contract. I haven't even lived in Gainesville for 2 years! I got a late notice and the billing department refuses to work with me on the payment, given that I have been paying for something that I haven't used. Talk about a GREEDY company! It used to be a great gym before COVID but has gone downhill along with a lot of Alachua county. Take your money to a better gym with easy customer interface.

Avoid this place. The positive reviews are from people who seem to have only been there for a short time... As a long timer, I'll tell you this...

The manager is a charmer, but will lie to your face. Equipment is broken for MONTHS or replaced with used equipment from other gyms (and sometimes less functional). I don't even know how, after a month of of the lockdowns, equipment was still broken. There are no incremental weights on many of the machines (so if you' need to jump up by 15 lbs in some cases).

Importantly: They have draconian and expensive cancellation policies even after you've outlived your contract. I can't count the times I've been hurt because equipment I needed for exercise prescription wasn't available. You REALLY don't want to join this gym.

This gym is the perfect size; there are other smaller and bigger gyms in Gainesville, but this has just about everything anyone would need. The athletic room gives this gym the next step up for me. I have recently concalled my membership at Baileys location in Gainesville FL and am now in my 30 days grace period. However, I am writing to inform you that I will no longer be able to use the facility. I do not expect any pro rating or anything and I understand that my bill at the end of July will be my last one. I just think it is important for corporate Baileys headquarters to understand how poorly the branch here in Gainesville is run. The reason I am no longer able to use the facility for the rest of my grace period is frankly the smell. The entire gym smells completely rancid but the back room smells like straight urine and has not for over a year. I am not sure if corporate sets the rules and guidelines for cleaning or if that is left up to the branch manager. (In this case, Warren) But whatever guidelines they are using obviously need to be tweaked if not rethought completely. Warren says they clean the place everyday for 20 minutes and is quick to remind people that it is a 24 hour facility but in my mind that is the exact origin of the problem. I am not sure if his cleaning crew doesn't do their job, if he doesn't enforce the cleaning or what. But if the entire place smells like urine and rotting garbage, then obviously 20 minutes each day is NOT going to cut it when your facility is several thousand square feet with several hundred people sweating in it each day. I am having trouble understanding how the branch manager and corporate see this as acceptable. Obviously, if the "cleaning" that is being done is still leaving the place with that bad of an odor, they either need to invest slightly more than 20 minutes each day or hire a third party company who actually knows what they are doing to come in and clean to get the smell out of there. Even in these times of COVID, a mask is still not enough to get rid of that horrid putrid smell that I simply cannot deal with anymore. I know for a fact that I am not the only one to complain to corporate about this yet nothing is done about it. Just thought it would be important for corporate to understand what is going on in their locations they may not visit very regularly. But I guess I shouldnt expect much more from a company who was sued for forging a clients signature.

Extremely unprofessional. Signed up online for the guest pass. Called ahead to confirm, was told I could arrive anytime during staffed hours before 8, and they would be able to check me in to workout, gym is 24/7. Rushed over from work, arrived at 7:58 and some change. Door was already locked. The staff at the front desk tried to pretend they didn’t see me knocking at the door. After like a minute or two, they finally come over and unlock the door. The guy goes hey we’re closed. I said I know you saw me standing here before you were closed. He reluctantly goes okay come on in. I show him my free 7 day pass. He then goes you have to be with a member. It doesn’t say this anywhere on the pass nor was I told this when I called ahead. What kind of free pass requires me to be with a member. If I’m new to Gainesville how am I suppose to just know a member of this gym in order to use my free pass. Horrible place. Doubt they’ll stay in business long when crunch opens up operating like this.

machines will be broken for weeks at a time. The bench press bars have no grip causing your hands to slide down the bar and when you re rack the bar your hands will be pinched between the rack and bar. A lot of guys grunt very loud and look like they are taking steroids. One guy in particular that wears football gloves and an Oakland As hat smells awful, like a 10 ft radius smell of week old gym clothes. holding my breathe as I walk past him to get to my next exercise.

One of the worst cancellation policies I’ve ever experienced. DO NOT SIGN-UP HERE unless you plan to stick with the gym permanently. My wife do ALL the steps necessary to cancel her membership when she moved out of state. They lost her paper work and passed the bill onto collections which affected her credit score. It’s not worth the hassle. Find another gym that doesn’t use a third party billing system to do their dirty work. Gyms like this end up charging you all kinds of fees in the end and you pay way more then expected.

Not crowded at evening times when I prefer to exercise. Staff has been very hospitable. No intimidation is felt at all from anyone. Ideal to go at your own pace. Memberships are reasonable and flexible. Equipment is in top conditions.
