You could not ask for a better team than Calvin and Theresa. Their love, passion and enthusiasm for yoga is unmatched. They are wonderful teachers to help you through your practice and thoroughly care about your journey during class. I highly recommend attending any of their classes. You won’t regret it.

Sharing a long overdue review of one of our very favorite places, CPY.
We tried a private class with Theresa in January of 2025 as a couple. My wife was much more familiar with what to expect, but this was my first class of any kind. I was honestly very nervous.
From the moment we arrived that day - and now for nearly every single week now thereafter - Theresa and Calvin have made us feel like family. Aside from the extreme level of comfort we now both feel in their studio, our weekly practice is now a core part of our lives. We look forward to, and plan around (as best we can!) our Thursdays at CPY.
The emotional and physical benefits of building a sense of community and joy around practicing yoga with Theresa has changed our lives. We honestly couldn’t imagine our weeks passing by without the belly laughs and physical benefits of our time together. We are better in our lives outside of our one hour session, and we overall are more grounded and mobile than we could ever imagine.
Most importantly, the care we feel from Theresa is unmatched. She is genuine, knowledgeable beyond what worlds could describe here, and always takes an interest in what we have going on in our lives. She adapts our practice to what we need most, even when we don’t know what we need.
I couldn’t recommend joining a class or having a private practice with Theresa and Calvin more. College Park is so lucky to have you both! Thank you for being a part of our lives and welcoming us into your family! Mike & Megan

Calvin and Theresa bring a deep level of skill, love, and knowledge to the practice of yoga. For those of us lucky enough to have them in our lives, they teach with great patience, skill, and a deep level of devotion. If you practice with them, you will be able to dive deep within yourself to find the joy, laughter, and inner awareness within yourself. Namaste

Welcome to a yoga class that’s all about meeting you where you are. At this studio, you’ll find a diverse community—people of all shapes, sizes, ages, and abilities—coming together to practice in a space where healing is prioritized over competition. Here, the focus is on your breath, not perfecting every pose.
The beauty of this practice lies in its simplicity. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or just starting out, the instructors guide you to move in a way that honors your body’s needs in the moment. You’re encouraged to tune in, breathe deeply, and let go of any need to “get it right.”
In this class, the goal is to help you reset your mind and body. Every breath is a chance to release tension and feel more present. It’s less about how the pose looks and more about how it feels. The studio’s philosophy is clear: Yoga is for everyone, and this is a place where you can reconnect with yourself, free from judgment or pressure.
If you’re looking for a space that truly has its priorities straight—where the atmosphere is welcoming, inclusive, and focused on your well-being—this is the perfect class for you. Come as you are and leave feeling refreshed, rebalanced.

I left Orlando in 2006 and Calvin and Teresa are still the gold standard by which I evaluate all other yoga studios. They even brought in a big name instructor for a work shop once with several books to her name and I thought their classes were better. I guarantee you 99% of yogis would give them 5 stars. 65 reviews is incredibly low given all of the lives they've touched. Now that I'm back in Florida I need to make them a part of a central Florida trip. They are that awesome! Miss you two😘

Theresa and Calvin are the best! I've been taking private lessons with Theresa, and she is magical. She reminds me all the way that we are doing this out of love for my body. I am overweight and out of shape, and that has never been a problem. Theresa works with where I am today and praises me every time I make a little more progress. She pushes me to try new things, and always has alternatives ready to make me successful. I love my lessons at CPY!

College Park Yoga is like no other yoga studio in Orlando. Every class is taught by one of the owners, Calvin or Theresa. They have been teaching for over 20 years and are the most loving and encouraging teachers who truly get to know each and every one of their students. They love what they do and this love for teaching and helping others pours out of them! This is something incredibly special you won't find at any other yoga studio in Orlando. The practice they teach is challenging but at the same time welcoming to beginners and students of all levels. I have been practicing with Calvin and Theresa for almost 3 years now, and it has changed my life. Just come to one class and you will see for yourself!

This was my very first yoga class ever and it was such a great experience. The instructor Calvin was very helpful in getting me to relax and just breathe. He didn’t move too fast, I was able to follow and do most of the poses with ease. The class wasn’t crowded, and it made for a comfortable first experience. I’m a regular now and can’t wait to go again. Highly recommend!

A couple years ago, I would have to be dragged kicking and screaming to a yoga class. Previously, I tried them on occasion and always left with a distinct feeling of “meh”.
Then I was introduced to CPY, and through the individualized and intuitive instruction that Theresa and Calvin provide, I discovered benefits of practice which previously I never could’ve imagined possible. Beyond the physical (my flexibility and range of motion are better than when I was a teenager), the mental gains have been huge. During the times of social distancing, one-on-one FaceTime yoga sessions have kept me more centered and calm, while allowing me to continue my practice. I cannot thank Theresa and Calvin enough for what their yoga teachings have done for me.

I can't sing enough praises about my experience at CPY.
I've practiced yoga very casually and inconsistently over the years, but never in a studio/class setting until I came to CPY...and I'm afraid I might be completely spoiled now!
Theresa and Calvin are the epitome of welcoming, warm, and helpful. From greeting you as you enter the door to serving tea as you exit, everything feels intentional and judgment-free. I've been to the Astanga Vinyasa and Liquid Fire classes, both of which I enjoyed thoroughly. There's a heavy focus on breathing and being present in addition to the obvious fitness aspect. I felt capable, encouraged, challenged, and accepted all at once. I definitely recommend giving CPY a visit!

I used to go to their old studio before moving out of state. They first introduced me to yoga and since moving 5 years ago, I've always compared the new studios I find to T&C's. I was fortunate enough to go back to Orlando a few weeks ago and made time to take a class. It was just as I remembered, classic, structured, sweaty, and rejuvenating.

Best yoga studio ever! Theresa and Calvin (wife & hubby) alternate teaching classes and they are the both equally talented. What sets this studio apart from any other I’ve been to is their skilled hands-on assistance. They will gently guide you towards the best possible shape for your body - regardless of your level of flexibility, limitations or experience. They are so warm and encouraging, you will want to come back just to soak in their amazing energy. This is true astanga vinyasa, focusing first on the importance of deep breathing then working on the poses. It’s a great workout as long as you are well hydrated and try to keep a steady, patient mindset. I have been practicing here for almost 10 years and have grown so much from their insightful lessons and overwhelming encouragement. They are a true gem!!!

By far the best yoga school in Orlando without question. I know, I have been to most of them. The owners do teach all the classes and have been teaching yoga for about 20 years (practicing even longer) which is one the biggest reasons why I love coming here (high quality classes and guidance). You will have a hard time find better instructors who incarnate yoga so fully. Everyone that shows up to class is friendly and kind, it's in a fantastic location.
This practice has changed every facet of my life, stress doesnt effect me as much, I am happier, I have regained flexibility I had in my youth and then some. Old muscular injuries have healed and I attribute that to regular practice. When I first started I only came once a week, and even just that one class made a big improvement in my life. I have been coming for the last 5 years. Small changes are made every class, after a while when you look back at where you started it is amazing the progress you can make when you show up and allow yoga to change your life.
If trees are more flexible than you are, these classes are for you!!! If you want to be a contortionist and join Cirque du Soliel, these classes are for you!!! If you have health issues, stress, blockages in your life, seeking enlightenment, these classes are for you!!! Yoga is for everyone, and college park yoga supports all their students.

CPY Is hands-down and by far, the best yoga studio that I was fortunate enough to discover yrs ago.The owner/instructors Theresa and Calvin are so welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful, dedicated, sincere, spiritual and so full of joy!
I had practice there for about five years and then relocated to the beach. Those two years at the beach I enjoyed the sand and sea, but certainly missed my CPY family and practice. Now back in Lake Mary I have come home to CPY and feel the glory of my mind, body and spirit rise each time I walk in that door and even more so as I float out!
Thank you CPY, "Lokah" and Cal for welcoming me home to my yoga practice!!🕉❤️☮️

College Park Yoga is by far the best studio I have experienced. Expert teachers guide students into appropriate postures for their individual bodies, and find creative modifications for people with injuries, handicaps, or other limitations. They encourage rest when necessary and teach proper breathing above all else. At CPY, students experience the full benefit of yoga. Just make sure to arrive well-hydrated and be prepared to sweat.

I was very happy to find College Park Yoga after my old studio changed ownership. I was looking for a place that teaches straight up yoga, no poles, no elastic, no crazy music, no weird stuff, just breathing and movement. The weekday classes at 6:30 pm fit my work schedule so I don't feel rushed and the weekends at 10:30 am are convenient too. The studio is the biggest I've ever practiced in and I love the high ceiling. Theresa and Calvin are fantastic teachers with a real passion for their students. Every class is like a mini vacation!

I have been visiting College Park Yoga since 2003 when they were in the cute building by Orange cycle and benefiting from the incredible energy and light that one of the cutest nicest couple I have known. Their yoga practice is unique. I am a shopper/experimenter and went to almost all yoga studios in Orlando none of the studios come near the personal service, coaching, knowledge and mentoring that they provide. When I leave a class I feel like all the stress and negativity of the world has been wrung out and a reset button has been pressed. They make one feel like part of the family even if one does not visit very often. Their classes are challenging or relaxing there is no push you go at your own level and they make custom recommendations for any special requests. For me Yoga is not an aerobic class, it is a practice of getting to know and connect to ones true self and others, the asana's flows are just a way to get the body out of our souls way. They are the gem of Orlando ! and their practice might have some antiaging secrets as they did not age a day in 14 years now how is this even possible???

CPY is all about the breath! Sure there are challenging classes for the advanced and limber, but for me CPY means peace and restoration.
The moment you enter the studio you are overwhelmed by a sense of peace. You roll out your mat and lie down. Tension drains away and then you are invited to stand and breathe. I like the afternoon class as a bridge from work to home. My mind thanks me!
Make no mistake - at whatever level you practice - there is the "wonderful workout" bonus For me the breath builds an internal fire that moves me through the poses with energy and purpose. My body thanks me!

CPY is my church. I feel so connected to the community and it is a very special place to me. Calvin and Theresa, the owners, emit positive energy, inspiration and love. They are kind and credible, because they are constantly practicing what they teach; that is, being with and working with exactly where you are, and not trying to force or be who you are not. This place is about community and feeding your mind and body in the healthiest way possible. Even if you just go to breathe, that is enough. More than enough. No matter what your age, ability, gender, and/or orientation, you will be embraced and supported.

Ah- reviewing under my husband's name but I had to take the opportunity to share how much I love learning to breathe and experience yoga at college park yoga!! Anyone who has had the privilege of taking a class with Theresa and Calvin come out of class each time better than when they walked in. They are both so great at kindly helping you find the pose that helps your body feel it's best. I often think back to the other yoga studios that I visited where no one suggested a better way to try a position or the way to do a pose that would suit my body with past injuries. This is the studio you will compare all other yoga studios too, it is the real authentic deal. I have found everything else pales in comparison to the expertise taught in a loving-at your own pace- way from expert to beginner offered here. So grateful!

College Park yoga is the best studio I have ever been to. I drive over an hour to attend Calvin and Theresa's classes. I pass many studios on my way and I have tried almost all of them and none compare to the yoga taught by Calvin and Theresa. I can not say enough about them. The support you are given in class and outside of the classroom can not be compared to any other studio. I will continue to drive the distance because the way I feel when I leave is unremarkable. I had just moved here from a Midwest city and I heard this place was supposed to be good...as a professional yogi of 5years I was shocked to see how unprofessional this place was (and I gave this place a try 3 times before I got completely fed up). First problem with this place is that if you show up 7min before another class that's ending, they make you wait outside of the studio which is crazy seeing as they have a waiting area inside...2nd problem is that the staff is not familiar with most yoga terminology so you'll find them make up there own terms. 3rd they're not fans of "holding poses" which is crazy to me- how am I or anyone for that matter supposed to feel a proper stretch if you don't hold a pose for a certain amount of time??? 4th problem is the wait time. Okay imagine yourself showing up for a 8am class (knowing it's an hour class and you have to show up to work at 945 so you know you'll be out by 9 and have enough time to get ready and go to work) but the classes here do not start until 9:15/9:20 EVERY SINGLE TIME. I mean really? It takes 15-20min for a class to start??...so I totally had enough of this place the 3rd time when I had showed up for a class and of course I got there 5min early and the building was closed due to another class inside. So okay it's hot outside and I'm waiting in my car. It's 5min past the start time for the new class and still no one is getting out...10minutes past and again I'm waiting There like an idiot and still no one had opened the door...this place is a waste of time and if you are really looking to improve your stretching and doing yoga in a way where it doesn't hurt your joints- then I highly recommend you try a professional yoga studio.

Theresa and Calvin have created a safe haven in College Park Yoga. I look around and see every shape and size and people like you and me with a variety of ailments. CPY accepts us all with a hug and a smile and creative ways to modify the practice. I have been to other yoga studios and never found another teacher with this level of commitment and authenticity. They are committed to being present with us as students on our journey: from their heartfelt greeting, to their care in crafting classes that fit beginners and advanced alike, to a receiving line to say goodby to each of us, to being open for us on holidays. CPY is much more than a yoga studio. Theresa and Calvin have brought a community of people together. If I feel weak I know I will be carried by the person next to me. And if I feel strong then I send my breath out to help the group. At CPY we are like the Muskateers: All for one and one for all!

CPY has been my favorite yoga studio for 12 years! I first started attending classes when they were located on Smith St. I had never done much yoga before, and I was quite out of shape. I could've gotten scared off right then and there, because there were some serious yogis in that class! However, Teresa and Calvin kept repeating that yoga is not about comparing yourself with the person next to you who may have been practicing for their whole lives. It's about keeping your eyes on your own mat, both literally and figuratively. These words, along with many other of their wise insights have gotten me thru many a difficult time. I call CPY my spiritual temple. The great benefit was, after continuing regularly, I got stronger and stronger! So not only was it good for my soul, but I also got in the best shape of my life!
We moved away to NJ in 2006, but I have to say, I never again found another studio as special as CPY. Theresa and Calvin really hone in on what's important. There are no mirrors to distract. There is no emphasis on show off moves. It's just yoga pure, and each individual is on his/her own yoga journey. It's a very zen approach. I find utmost peace here. That is why when we moved back to Orlando in 2012, we decided to move to College Park. Not only is the neighborhood lovely, but we are right down the street from my favorite yoga studio ever.
There are a lot of yoga studios in Orlando, not to mention in the US. But this one is my happy place - the best studio by far!

College Park Yoga is my little slice of heaven on earth. I started going to CPY back in 2012. I have anxiety and it was at its worst while I was planning my wedding. People suggested I try yoga to bring a sense of calm to my life. I cannot be more grateful that I chose College Park Yoga to begin my practice. I've been to class at least once a week ever since, and it is still, hands down, the best studio I've ever been too. They have fueled my love for yoga, even inspiring me to take classes around the globe whenever I travel. This summer I went to Costa Rica and was lucky enough to practice at the Yoga Institute in Nosara. This is where yoga teachers come to learn and get certified by the best. While it was a wonderful experience, there was no comparison to CPY. I am so lucky to have such an amazing studio in my own backyard. One of the reasons CPY is so great, is because of the owners, Calvin and Theresa. They are some of the kindest, most approachable, warm hearted people you will ever meet. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel welcome, at ease and relaxed. They greet every student with an upbeat hello and a genuine appreciation that you are there. Class usually starts about 15 minutes after the posted start time, but I appreciate that. It gives you time to get settled, you are not running in the door, rushing to get on your mat. It allows you to start your practice in the right frame of mind. They do start the class with more sun salutations than anywhere else I've gone, but I enjoy them because again, it gets my mind in a good place and my breathing in rhythm before we really dig into practice. The sun salutations also warm me up so I am at my best for other postures to come. During class, Clavin and Theresa are always there to assist you, and gently guide you. They encourage you to move at your own pace and will show you modifications if needed. Most importantly, they focus on the breath. So many yoga classes skip over this aspect when it is the most important part of any practice. At the end of class, while you lay in Savasana, you are often treated to a neck and head massage. When walking out of the studio, every student is embraced with a hug that really shows they appreciate your presence.
I cannot say enough about CPY. They have changed my life. My anxiety is a thing of the past. I apply the breathing techniques they have taught me to my everyday life making me a calmer, more accepting person who is filled with gratitude. Their inspirational words have brought tears to my eyes, smiles to my face, but most importantly, peace to my mind. This is definitely not a place for the faint of heart. You will really get to know yourself and your body. It is not a yoga class filled with fluff. If you are willing to take the journey, Teresa and Calvin will not let you down.

College Park Yoga it is not just a place, it is THE place where you can find more than a yoga class, it is the place where you can feel loved, where you can feel there is still hope in this world, where you can really learn all about the yoga practice not just the postures. The owners are not just the owners of a business, they are teachers, masters, friends, they can even become your family if you need to. No matter what your situation is, they have the gift of love, laugh and breath to teach you everything is good and everything is going to be ok.
Even when all of this sounds magical, it happens to be real, and it is located in the heart of Orlando, Fl. We are blessed as a community to have this little piece of heaven right here where we can see and feel for ourself what love and yoga is really about.

I love yoga, but I have never been in a studio like this until I couple years ago when I first visited.
I always hated those other studios in which people just come to exercise. I think yoga is beyond that and Kelvin and Theresa are the right people to explain it to you.
You aren't just exercising (because of course you are) you are cultivating your mind and your body in a sense of awareness and mindfulness that would be impossible without the wisdom and guidance of Theresa and Kelvin.
Love them both, and love this place.

I've never come across a yoga studio quite like CPY that makes me feel so safe and at home. Two instructors who care for you, know your name, and lead you through a blissful breath-by-breath practice. Almost every posture was modified for my individual needs of my body. After a year of chronic pain, Easy Yoga at College Park Yoga gave me mobility and mental strength that I could not get in other therapies for my spinal injury. A therapeutic practice that is for beginners, persons with injuries, advanced yogis, and everyone in between. I love CPY!

The space is beautiful and clean. Instruction was thorough and I received lots of individual attention. I felt welcome from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. I will definitely come back and recommend others.

Astanga yoga is a spiritual, disciplined, and strengthening practice for the mind, body and soul. You will not find another studio that genuinely practices this on and off the mat than at College Park Yoga. T&C are master teachers and have touched so many with their wisdom, kindness and devotion. If you’re interested in strengthening your body, finding a sanctuary, or learning about a calmer life, please visit CPY. Anything worth having is well worth the effort – go three times and see what happens. It was life shifting for me and I hope it will be for you too. Namaste :)

My stuff was stolen while I was in a class.
I stopped at CPY on my way to a cafe to get some work done, so I had my shoulder bag with phone, computer, etc. Being on a bicycle I had to bring my things inside. Not knowing that CPY doesn't lock the front doors during class (and doesn't have anyone watching the front desk), but knowing that there was hot air and a vaporizer pumping away in the studio (both things that technological devices don't pair well with) I put my bag next to the shelf with the sign that said "bags" on it. There was no posted warning that my stuff may not be secure inside the building.
When I walked out of the studio my bag was simply gone without a trace.
I went to the desk to inform the owner Calvin, who didn't quite understand me at first. As he got the idea he said I should call the police. I told him my phone was in the stolen bag. About that time another woman said her sunglasses were gone, but she didn't stick around to say more. After I spoke with the police, Calvin did guide me to the nearby dumpsters to see if I could find my bag, and he did drive around the neighborhood a bit while I biked around, both in a fruitless search to spot my bag or anyone suspicious (the owner of the neighboring shop had spoken to a guy giving off bad vibes an hour before, but couldn't really describe him). When we called it quits I asked Calvin if the shop had insurance that may help cover my loss, he said to email them. I did about two hours later when I got to a computer I could use.
Three days later I had no response, so I called. Calvin said he hadn't seen my email, gave me a micro-lecture on how 7-11 isn't responsible for your stuff if you set it down on a shelf in the minimart, and said he'd let me know about the insurance.
A week after all of my stuff was stolen from CPY I got an email telling me it was a misfortune, and reminding me that the waiver I signed to practice yoga absolved them of any responsibility. My question about insurance was completely ignored.
I told them they should at least put up signs warning people, rather than just a sign inviting people to store their bags on the shelf.
I told them that I still had a week left - already paid for - of my initial three week trial, but that I would never be back because I would always be glancing back at the studio doors to see if anyone was in the lobby on the other side, going through peoples things.
Knowing now that they don't lock their door, I don't know how anyone else practices yoga there without thinking the same thing throughout class.

This studio was my first experience with power yoga and it was a great one. I have gone off and on for several years and as a beginner I was able to pick it up from the instructors as well as looking at the other students. I felt that Theresa and Calvin were both very welcoming and friendly and encouraging. I really like the consistancy of the practice. I have been to other power yoga locations that don't have the heart of this location.

I prepaid for a total of 5 classes before I took one, but after the class, I'm not sure I'll go back. I've practiced yoga for over 10 years and have never had an experience like this. I went to a "beginner" class with a friend who doesn't have a lot of yoga experience. The teacher barely told us what pose we were to do, didn't show us anything personally, and didn't even seem to want to be there.
The worst part was the heat. Living in Central Florida, I expect there at least to be a fan on or a door open, but they closed it up tight keep the room at least in the mid-90's if not hotter. Having asked before to make sure it was NOT a bikram class, I was miserable and nauseated from the heat throughout most of the class. I seriously almost walked out halfway through the class.
The only time any music was played at all during the entire class was for final rest. To me, this doesn't help with relaxation or moving deeper into poses at all.
There seem to be a lot of people who enjoy this place and it came recommended to me, but it felt very pretentious. Maybe when they change locations, they'll do something about the temperature.
