With over a decade of experience in training, coaching and physiotherapy combined, Sarah offers personalised guidance that emphasises functionality, and progress. Furthermore, you'll be using a Compass Performance integrated app, where you can track your workouts, monitor progress, and stay on top of your goals between sessions.

I’ve been training with Sarah at Compass Performance for about 10 months, and she has completely changed the way I move and feel. As someone with a history of knee issues (including surgery on one side), I had been sticking to “gentle” fitness like yoga, walking, and the elliptical for 15+ years. But I don’t live under a rock; I know how important strength training is for women 40+ to stay active and maintain bone mass. However, I did very little strength training when I was younger, so I was nervous to start it in my mid-40s with “bad knees.”
But Sarah knows her stuff! Her combined expertise as a fitness trainer with physical therapist education has been everything. I feel like I can push myself to do new and hard things without putting my joints in danger because her understanding of the human body and how to safely strengthen it is second to none. She’s helped me rebuild strength evenly on both sides while focusing on good technique and proper movement. I feel both challenged and safe working with Sarah—a fine line she expertly guides me along. In short, I can’t recommend Sarah at Compass Performance highly enough.

My daughter purchased, for me, a 5 session personal training package with Sarah. Prior to the purchase we met with Sarah and spoke in depth on my physical concerns, specifically a weak lower back due to surgery, and what PT sessions would look like. She was very helpful and thorough, and immediately impressed us with her knowledge and positivity. Each session was preplanned prior to my arrival, and gently increased in number of exercises and intensity. Her knowledge of biomechanics and wellness is awesome! She communicates very well and helped my overall mobility and confidence in what my back is capable of performing. I’ve learned a great deal from those sessions, and I will absolutely continue to use what I’ve learned and continue to improve. I could not recommend her services more! I am preparing for an upcoming surgery. Sarah has developed a tailored set of exercises that will allow me to strengthen an area of my body that will be weakened by the surgery. I can use these exercises at home and away from home, both pre and post surgery. Her professionalism is second to none! Her dedication towards her clients is genuine, she cares!

After undergoing back fusion surgery, I was bedridden for two and a half months. With physical therapy, I slowly regained my ability to walk and improve my mobility. However, I continued to struggle with constant numbness and a burning sensation in my right foot and leg. Whether I was moving, sitting, or working, the discomfort was always there. Even though I felt better overall, I never truly felt normal.
That changed when I was referred to Sarah. After just a couple of sessions with her, the numbness in my foot disappeared, and the burning sensation was gone. She taught me how to move properly again—how to walk, climb stairs, and use my body without pain. For those who have gone through this kind of surgery, you know that recovery is possible, but being able to feel and move normally again is something truly precious.
Sarah not only helped me heal my back and leg, but she also gave me the gift of feeling normal again. Thank you, Sarah—you make a real difference in people’s lives, and because of you, I finally feel good and whole again.

I came to Sarah from PT after a hip replacement surgery. She was very thorough in her evaluation and in her explanation of how she works. She has helped me not only get back in the gym (a basic thing I’d kinda left off for a while…probably didn’t help that hip), but to get back to strength and endurance training, and loving it again. I’m rebuilding my strength and it’s happening faster than I thought possible. Sarah has the PT background and knowledge that puts her heads above the rest and she’s super nice! I know that with her help, I’ll be on the tennis court in a kid!
