Shoutout to Greta, Sophia, and Natalie (I hope I remembered those names right) for all of their help :) We came in right at close and had also not filled out the paperwork in advance, but they were super kind and accommodating and helped us lift and secure the giant canoe we rented on top of the tall Jeep we brought. The facility is super neat and clean, gear is great quality, and price is reasonable. Definitely recommend for UF students and I can’t thank the staff enough!

This place is great for renting outdoor gear. They have tons of options for pretty much everything. I rented canoes out for the weekend for $33 each for 3 nights. It went very smoothly.

Very disappointing! First off, there were roaches everywhere!! These roaches aren't like the normal ones in Florida... They're super roaches. They crowed surfed me out of there! Second off, all the workers have lice. I also would like to note that they call each other meemaw and peepaw. Sick. These people need a load of my knuckle sandwich.

CORE has almost any outdoor gear UF students could need for rent: hiking backpacks, sleeping bags, 2 and 4 person tents, snorkel gear, stand up paddle boards, and tons more at a reasonable price. They’re helpful for planning what you might need for any outdoor adventure as well. They also have experienced, trained student leaders who take other students on both day and overnight TRiPs. These TRiPs are things like Intro To Backpacking, Stand Up Paddleboarding the Springs, Intro to Surfing, Blueberry Picking and Mindfulness, etc.
Super amazing place that makes the outdoors accessible to all students and faculty at UF.

I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS PLACE. I HAVE BEEN RENTING FROM THEM A COUPLE YEARS NOW. THE STAFF IS FRIENDLY AND VERY HELP FULL IN IN EVERY WAY. THEY TAKE THE TIME TO SHOW YOU HOW TO LOAD THE BOARDS , SO THAT YOU WONT BE CLUELESS WHEN YOU HAVE TO DO IT YOURSELF. AGAIN THE STAFF IS WONDERFUL!!!

EDIT: After 2 months, I got the refund in my home account. Thanks to CORE team to the efforts to proceed that.

Terrible experience. I''ve booked two trips with them and both the trips were cancelled. I've been trying to get the refund for more than a month, and they dont do that, nor answer my emails. Im going back to my homecountry without receiving my refund.
I do not recommend CORE anyone.

Rented equipment from here and got a sleeping bag that didn’t zip. Went camping in freezing temperatures and had to jerry rig a way to seal the bag. Worked out fine in the end. When I returned the equipment, I explained the problem and the students working at the facility were really considerate. They didn’t fine me for the previous damage because they took my word on it.

However, I caution you to CHECK your rentals BEFORE you take them out camping (if you are renting from here.) I did not do this, and dealt with the consequences. You can avoid this by being prudent to check any gear that is super necessary for your health/safety, like tents and sleeping bags.

I would love to rent from here again! I would still reccommend CORE as the best place in town for gear rentals. (I will check the gear before leaving.) All in all, if you are camping in the cold, err on the side of being over prepared.

It's a nice place to check out equipment, if you go to UF. They have variety of things to check out for like sleeping bag, raft, tents for camping, water sports and hiking etc. Also they organize many outdoor trips. Did i mentioned they have a very friendly and patient staff?
