Before joining CCF, I was part of another box. After 2 months of training at the other box, I did not feel like I was part of a family. The coaches were constantly shouting and focused more on their star members. I did some research and came upon Corporal Cross Fit. I decided to give it a try. Little did I know that I on my first day I would fall in love with it. CCF is the complete opposite from my first experience. The coaches are always attentive to all of the members equally. Coach Carlos, Jenny and Dayron motivate me to continue to push myself, but at the same time not to overdo it. I enjoy waking up early to do my WOD. The short but intense workouts have become my morning doses of energy. I am prepared to conquer the world after working out. At CCF, I feel a part of a big family. All the members motivate each other and are there as moral supports. I am so excited to be a part of CCF that even my family noticed. My brother and mother both decided to join me and they love it. My mother even asked us to gift her 6 month membership for her birthday (which of course we gave her). We are all excited to have found a place we enjoy going to. Your concept of exercise will never be the same after you join Corporal CrossFit.

I would have never believed anyone who would have told me that at the age of 52 I would be working out and actually enjoying it. Every time I went to a doctor’s visit, I was reminded that I had to be physically active. I signed up to many gyms only to cancel my membership after a month or two. I tried doing Zumba at home, but I did not enjoy the lonely workouts. It got to the point that nothing motivated me, so I just decided not to do anything. My kids joined CCF and it was the first time that I had seen them wake up early and so motivated to workout. They kept on telling me that I should joined them in the morning workouts. I finally gave in and went with them. My first time in CCF was unforgettable. I thought I was going to die, but the coaches keep on motivating me. I have been at CCF for 4 months and I love it. I wake up every morning to get my doses of workout. I feel more energized today than what I have had in years. CCF is not a gym; it is a big family that is willing to help each other reach our fitness and personal goals.

After my end of active service with the Marine Corps in 1993 at age 21, my line of thinking was something like: “I’ll never allow myself to be out of shape”. This line of thinking held true for the first 6 months but then the reality of everyday life started taking over; family, work, the daily grind. I was actually really proud of the fact that I was able to maintain my weight gain to less than 5 lbs throughout my thirties. What I had not taken into consideration was the fact that my energy level, physical appearance and overall health were going in a negative direction.
After looking at a picture of myself taken during a holiday event last December (2012), I knew that it was time to take action. Weight management was not really the metric by which I could measure my health and nowhere was this more evident that by that one picture. I looked fat, swollen really, and yet I still weighed very close to what I weighed when I was an active duty Marine. So, that picture made me seek the help that I would need to ensure that I could have the type of lifestyle that I wanted to live. A lot of the activities that I enjoy require a certain level of stamina; dirt bikes, mountain biking and hiking. I knew that if I continued the path that I was headed, I would not be able to perform those activities for much longer.
I met Coach Carlos in mid-December of 2012 and he laid out a “plan” that would get me from point A (where I was) to point B (where I wanted to be). I immediately made the commitment to myself and my family that I would stick with the plan, no matter what. By following Coach Carlos’ recommendations, I had lost 7 lbs between December 19th and January 4th. January 4th I started my workouts, 3 times a week, under the careful supervision of the staff. I can’t say enough about the professionalism and enthusiasm that Coach Dayron and Coach Jenny bring with them every day. They have managed to create an atmosphere that promotes team work even when we are only competing against our own ability to complete the workouts. There has been a team environment that makes me not want to miss any of my workouts. Here I am 9 months after beginning my program, 20 lbs lighter but much stronger. Flexibility has increased tremendously, allowing me to complete movements that were all but impossible when I began the program. I am happy to say that I am actually in better shape than when I was an active duty Infantry Marine. I owe this to the improved training program and nutritional plan that Coach Carlos recommended.
I encourage anyone, at any age to take a look at yourself and think if that is really the best you. I feel great when I get compliments from my wife, especially when we look at pictures of only 10 months ago and the change is so dramatic. Coach Carlos and his staff have managed to make physical fitness a part of my life and for that I am tremendously grateful.

The day I walked into CCF I really did not know what to expect. Playing high school football I suffered an injury that caused me to have two screws permanently inserted into my left ankle. I thought that I would not be able to handle the workouts because of this injury so I did not know if the trainers would keep me around or send me home. One month later my entire mindset has changed. Not only did CCF motivate and help me to push myself, but they worked around my injury allowing me to get the same amount of exercise and training just in a different form. They work with you not against you. If you can't handle some of the workouts,they will modify the workout allowing you to get the same push and burn but in an excersize that you can handle. I am very grateful for CCF because now I have more energy and i am motivated for the new challenges that await. They have thought me that you shouldn't assume you can't until you try it -Khalil Guerra

Before becomign a member at Corporal Crossfit I researched various crossfit locations. Once I wlaked into Corporal I knew this was the place for me. I'm 52 years old and had been goign the gym route and not getting the results I wanted. Doing the usual gym routines for 1/2-2 hours I was becoming frustrated and bored. After the first three months I noticed changes in my enthusiasm for trainning and a slimmer waistline. I have a long way to go still, but my goals are attainable here at Corporal Crossfit. The instruction is excellent. The instructors are patient and recognize how to motivate and push you just enough to go one step further. Corporalcrossfit is the best investement I've made and I'm finally seeing results. The trainning is intense and exactly what I needed.

I peeked into this gym and almost did not leave my number thinking this might not be the place for me. I am glad I did and scheduled my first day at Corporal Crossfit with Coach C. I have been overweight all my life constantly trying to keep my health under control. Failing miserably I was yoyo dieting from 275 to 200 up to 242 for over 10 years. I wanted & knew that there had to be a better way. I described my goals to Coach C & after the best investment in my life I was at a lean 193lbs. WOW, Before I felt disappointed with the lack of results with the daily gym weight/ cardio routine. CCF made me healthier faster than any other diet program I have tired. For the first time ever I have abs after simply plugging into the CorporalCF formula. In just 3 sessions a week I have gotten into the best shape of my life at 32, even my 18yr old Marine Corp self could not measure up. I am excited to see what less than 10% BF looks like in 2013. Anyone can sustain this life long healthy program. Looking back at this year in my life I will always remember it as the year in which I regained control of my life. When I walked in to Corporal CrossFit (CCF) I was terrified! Having lived a sedentary life for 39 years, the idea of getting up and doing something scared me!! I was scared I was too old. Scared I couldn’t’ do it. Scared I was about to make a huge fool out of myself. Scared my body would fail miserably. Walking in with some physical issues, the smaller more individualized class was ideal. The small coach to athlete ratio made it possible to learn the best techniques and avoid injuries. The coaches worked with me to modify my workout so that I could reach my goals, at my own pace. They’re there every morning to cheer me on and remind me that I’m stronger than I even think I am. I came in afraid and now I count down to when I’ll be there again. After 4 months I am stronger than I have ever been in my life. My body has changed and it’s more toned than ever before. I’m much happier. I’m a more active wife and mom. I feel like I can conquer anything that comes my way. I’m also much healthier. I’m on a nice steady track to fighting my Type 2 Diabetes, thanks to all the nutritional knowledge I’ve acquired from Coach Carlos and his coaches. I don’t regret my decision, one bit. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made!! I love crossfit and the new family I’ve made at Corporal CrossFit. I look forward to the months ahead and what else CCF has in store for me.

I began working out at Corporal CrossFit in June 2010. I had been looking for something to motivate me. I have been an "athlete" most of my life but had lost that spring in my step, I had become complacent and lazy. After years of playing football and working out with that football mentality, all I knew was how to get bigger and get stronger. I got bigger, just over 300 lbs but that style of working out no longer fit my lifestyle. Corporal CrossFit turned everything I knew about working out on its head. This is an experience that can not be described, it must be experienced. Don't feel intimidated or scared to join, this isn't a gym full of egos, we are all a family and we work together and support each other to help us all grow. Since I started in June I have lost 50 lbs and fell completely different, I still have a ways to go but I'm looking forward to it. BTW, if you like Olympic lifting this will scratch your itch, don't worry about dropping the weight here, sometimes its encouraged. There is something for everyone here. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.

After a while of researching for Cross Fit gyms, a friend of mine had referred me to Corporal Cross Fit. Seeing her results, I began looking more into this gym. Surprisingly, many more people that I know (and had always wondered how they had achieved their fitness goals) had attended this gym. Truthfully, I acknowledge that throughout my life, I was never an active person (not to mention my struggle with being over weight). To make matters worse, I have a knee injury that hinders any exercise routine. Due to this injury, I began believed that Cross Fit might not even be a possibility for me. As a result, I always chose the “no exercise” diets and programs. Only to learn that you can never really get the results you truly desire. For instance, I went to the extent of trying the “miracle diet” called “HCG.” Although I did manage to lose some weight, my skin began turning flabby as a result of eating 500 calories a day (To the point that I thought I might need to go into surgery to remove the extra skin). Thank the Lord, I didn’t! After setting up an appointment with Coach Carlos (The owner of Corporal Cross Fit), I truly believed that this was the best decision I would make for myself. It has been five months since I started, and there has not been a day in which I have regretted my decision. I have seen a drastic change in my body. Not only have I improved physically, but my confidence has skyrocketed. Corporal Cross Fit is designed to cater to everyone’s fitness needs and goals. If you have any injuries, the staff will work with you endlessly to find multiple options so that you are able to achieve your goals. Corporal Cross Fit offers small classes with individual help every step of your journey. Even if you have never been an athletic person, the Coaches will teach you the proper steps and the correct forms. As far as the atmosphere goes, it is truly exceptional. The staff and I have all become very close. Even when you feel like giving up, the trainers are right there alongside you to push you to finish your workout. There is no monetary value for everything this gym has to offer. Honestly, you cannot put a price on health or the confidence you receive. I can truly recommend this gym to anyone I come across.

Corporal CrossFit is an amazing and unique place! With a small coach to athlete ratio you get individualized attention unlike anywhere else and you also get a more personal family atmosphere that makes you want to come back every day. The CCF coaches concentrate on proper form and technique which leads to better results and most importantly, no injuries. Whether you are interested in Strength, Endurance, Nutrition, or just improving your overall health, then Corporal Crossfit is the place for you. At 40 years old, I've become a bigger, better, faster and stronger athlete than I was in my 20's and I owe it all to the coaches at CCF.

Six years ago, I made a decision that changed my life. I was tired of struggling with my weight. I had tried many diets, weight loss pills, and different work out plans. My weight had ballooned up to 300 lbs. I had enough and underwent gastric bypass surgery. What people don’t realize is that surgery is not a cure, it is merely a tool. I constantly have to work at keeping my weight down. I have to focus on healthy eating and taking all my necessary supplements.
After years of working out at the gym, I became extremely bored with the same old routine. In April of 2011, I saw a feature on the news about crossfit. It seemed like something that was extremely intense. I wasn’t sure if this was really something I was fit enough to do. My brother decided to surprise me and treat me to my first month. I have been committed to my training ever since.
CCF has changed my life in so many ways. I have learned how to properly fuel my body, push myself physically; gained mental strength, and a new family. Paleo has become part of my vocabulary. I have learned how the right foods can make me feel amazing and help the training process. I am no longer that sluggish person that constantly craved grains. One of my first accomplishments was participating in the Paleo challenge. It helped keep me focused and the results were definitely worth it. I became stronger and recovered much faster.
I began to overcome mental obstacles. My biggest fear kicked in the first time I saw handstand written on the board. I literally wanted to cry. I am grateful to have such wonderful coaches. Their positive energy and encouragement has helped me work through the fear.(Handstands are my friend) My weekdays do not feel right unless they begin with my 5:30 class. I look forward to every workout, pushing myself just a little more, surrounded by a wonderful group of people. It’s a part of my life I proudly share with friends and family, along with the pictures and videos.

I have 3 kids and have been over weight for many years. I would workout at the gym and tried all the diets there are available and nothing was giving me the results or the satisfaction I was looking for. I had reached the point where I either give up and accept my size or I do something drastic. I had looked intoCorporal Crossfit because a friend had told me about it and I had seen a huge result on him. I started in March of this year and I have not looked back since. I have lost weight and inches but best of all is the strength I have gained mentally and physically. I say if you want change then be the change. When I was 200 pounds I joined Corporal Crossfit with intent to lose weight. Losing 25 pounds and inches off my waist line within 90 days was only the beginning of it all. I can run further and faster now than I did in high school at 135 pounds. All this is due to a great increase in strength throughout my entire body’s muscular structure. The sky is the limit with their carefully planned workout regime, knowledgeable coaches, and semi-private class setting. The coaches have a passion for their profession. That passion translated into my results when they continuously push me to better myself. They never hesitate to answer questions, always follow up with your nutrition, and ensure all exercises are handled with proper form to ensure efficiency while avoiding injury. Anyone can enter this box and walkout an improved athlete. For those searching for strength, CCF has a club for you. For those searching for endurance, CCF also has a club for you. However, if you are looking to be all around kickass then CCF isn’t an option it’s a MUST. Worth the expenses to train within a family vibe that doesn’t work you to failure but rather to constant improvement through varied exercises. Glad to be a part of Corporal Crossfit family and thank you CCF for helping me exceed my own expectations.

Knowledgeable coaches, small class sizes, and a new location with more room to sweat. Corporal Crossfit is an excellent value for the money.

I've been on Coach Carlos, Jenny, and Dayron's team for more than a year now, and not only have they helped me slim down and keep the weight off, I've become stronger. I've recorded significant gains in my deadlift, olympic snatch, deck clean, military and push press, and both forward and back squats, which isn't to say I'm competing with the big guys just yet, but the feeling I get from an increase in strength and confidence is well worth it.

The workouts are universally scalable, which means that each individual workout can be modified to accommodate your level of fitness. For veteran athletes, the workouts are insane. Beginners are challenged to push themselves beyond their comfort zones until they feel equipped for a more difficult workout. Whoever you are, and whatever your level of fitness, Crossfit is challenging.

There was nothing to complain about regarding the old facility. It served its purpose well. The new location, however, is a pleasant upgrade. There's way more room, and it makes the classes feel even tinier. It's also visible from Highway 826, close to the Guitar Center off Red Road (NW 57th Ave). The added visibility of the new place is an added bonus.

Final word: if you commit to Crossfit, trust your coaches, and work hard, you're going to see some big changes in your life for the better, regardless of your level of fitness. It helps that the people running the show are awesome, funny, and genuinely care about your success. Great work.

Corporal CrossFit is an amazing place. Doesn't matter whether you have exercised all your life or just decided to get off the couch, the coaches here will make sure that your training gives you the results you want. The small classes give you that personal trainer feeling while still having your classmate there to root you on as you do those last 10 push ups. All coaches are great teachers helping you learn every movement in the most efficient but also safest way. Everyone is incredibly welcoming making you feel like family on your first day and on every day after that. Well worth the commitment.
