Critical Gains is just what I’ve been looking for...personal training at an approachable price!
As a woman in my mid-40s, I’m realizing how important strength and mobility are, and I want to invest the time, effort, and money into my long-term health. I’m thankful to have Ryan helping me on this journey. I just finished my initial four sessions and look forward to continuing my membership and making steady progress toward my health and fitness goals.
I needed more guidance and accountability than I was getting at Planet Fitness, but wanted something less intimidating than the heavy weights and crowded, fast-paced group classes at the big box gyms. Critical Gains is the perfect fit.
Ryan’s space is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. He meets me where I’m at in my fitness journey. We’ve been focusing on bodyweight exercises and making great use of the TRX-style rings and resistance bands. The workouts are approachable yet challenging, and I’ve felt that satisfying soreness after each session...a good sign that my body is getting stronger and more stable.

Ryan at Critical Gains is a very compassionate and talented fitness trainer. He is great at what he does, and he never makes me feel judged or incapable. I've been meeting up with Critical Gains' Instructor, Ryan, for a few weeks now and have felt a steady improvement in my stamina, and an increase in my mobility and strength. Ryan took his time to guide me through his workouts, while taking my personal injuries into consideration, and that's made all the difference!
The beach was an excellent place for resistance training, especially for my feet and ankles. My plantar fascia has claimed a good number of years of quality life and it's a huge relief to feel the difference of being able to walk at a subtle discomfort instead of a 7-8 pain, after just a handful of meet-ups!
His workouts will push you to your limits, but his method of training will empower you to keep going. Great experience overall and a fair price for one on one time with a fitness trainer!
